Mazzi in Matlock, Derbyshire, was a pleasant Indian restaurant to celebrate a family birthday in April 2023. Their menu, as good as it is, didn't list a particular dish I really wanted and in querying about it, the staff were keen to see if they could help. The chef came out and offered to do the dish preferred and did so to my complete satisfaction. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed the food which was well presented with a professional and friendly customer service. I was asked if I would be happy to write a revue and although I didn't live local to Matlock, I agreed to without hesitation, it really was excellent. I didn't intend to leave it this long but found their card today and thought I should since saying I would. In short, I recommend Mazzi amongst the restaurants available in Matlock, it was my daughter's choice and I was not disappointed. Worth a visit for a good evening meal with friends and family. Well done Mazzi and thank you Ali and your colleagues who made our celebration very enjoyable. Fully Recommended.

lawlesscityburger what can I say ?? UNREAL 😋😋 Your burgers are seriously good And taste just incredible ! Today @lawlesscityburger served me their break the silence burger & cheesy chips. @lawlesscityburger is situated right in the middle of #canningtown in a great and busy location in #rathbonemarket ! Their break the silence burger sure broke my silence 😋 an amazing burger filled with two gorgeous 100% smashed beef patties, Cos Lettuce, Red onion, tomatoes, US cheese, and house made might n right sauce served in a homemade Artisan Bun. The burger patties were so fresh and meaty and delicious and you could really tell how good the quality was and all burgers are #halal too ! The burger looked a beauty and it sure tasted amazing .. the flavours were great the sauce was on point and the bun so soft and fresh too definitely can tell it’s a homemade bun too- sure do love their secret sauce! 😋 The chips were crinkle cut just how I like them. They were very fresh and covered in their special cheese sauce- their cheese was much better than other places I’ve ever had cheesy chips from as it doesn’t go hard and clumpy and stick to the box- it stays lovely and runny. All of their food was piping hot and I can’t fault any of it one bit - maybe the only complaint was that I didn’t have double what I had as I loved it so much 🤣🤣🤣🤣 thank you so much guys your food is 10/10 from me 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 banging burgers. I’ll definitely be back to try some others on the menu. #foodstagram #foodsofinstagram #essexfoodblogging #essexfoodblogger #foodblogger #essex #london #burger #burgers #burgersofinstagram #halal #halalfood #halallondon #halalfoodie #followforfollowback #likeforlikes #canningtown #beckton #ilford #plaistow #eastham #barking #dagenham #docklands #followforfollowback #likeforlikes #instafood #foodie #hmc #hmcmeat #lawlesscityburger 🔥

I had the Christmas sandwich and it was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had...and I'm not even vegan! The staff were really friendly and helpful on food recommendations and I loved the atmosphere and the cosy vibe. It has a great community feel to the place and I'm looking forward to coming back and trying the other options which also sounded very tasty! Definitely visit this iconic vegan cafe!

The Griffin was my favorite place during the 3 years I lived in London, I really miss it. A traditional pub with excellent food and friendly staff. Just bear in mind that on match days, the place might be a bit crowded and the kitchen can close early, so check with the restaurant before hand.

My walking group used this for a lunch. It was ok but service was very slow given all 9 of us had to pre-order. Food was not exciting but I was glad that a very large ladies group arrived after us making it very full. Useful parking. The Beers were fine and better priced than around Harpenden. The draw back is uninspired food with slow service.

Este es un gran lugar de pizza. He estado aquí un par de veces ahora y el personal comió siempre amable y acogedor. La selección de pizza es buena y la calidad es de primera clase. Muy recomendable.

I had travelled down from Manchester for football and was staying at the Premier Inn in Canning Town. Usually when in London I seek out a pie and mash shop but I was too late for the local one so opted for this restaurant only a few minutes walk from my hotel.Rather like my team ( Manchester City) bringing on Kevin De Bruyne in the game in question--- this was a more than acceptable substitute. The decor is the first thing that struck me -- it appears to be traditional Ukrainian-- indeed I heard a member of staff say that this was their stated aim. First off -- order a beer. A bottle of Ukrainian beer duly arrived together with an earthenware mug for its consumption. An excellent start- if that is typically Ukrainian then I'm all for it. For food I opted for Ukrainian borscht-- apparently a national dish-and an endangered part of Ukrainian heritage according to UNESCO !!!. It is still very much alive and kicking in this part of the East End. It was delicious and contained far more ingredients than I expected ( I was expecting little more than beetroot) It was a meal in itself -served as a very generous portion in a large earthenware bowl Next course was pork dumplings. I wasn't sure whether these would be large like those I had eaten in the Czech Republic or more akin to Polish pierogi. They turned out to be like the latter but better than any pierogi I had eaten with a very tasty filling. The meal was rounded off by a conversation with the lovely lady who was running the place with a male assistant.I could have stayed much longer chatting but had to leave to get to Tottenham Thank you to all for such a fabulous meal and your superb hospitality. I read afterwards that some of their profits were being donated to support their Ukrainians back home during the war. Even more reason to visit

Visited this place a few times as we live nearby and it hasn’t let us down. Lovely home cooked food at good prices. Lovely staff. Would definitely recommend
