Fantastic find- really interesting choices for anytime of the day- had smashed a Avacado with scrambled and a turkey bacon breakfast- all very tasty and served with an excellent Mediterranean salad which I wasn’t expecting but was a great flavour compliment. Staff very pleasant and service quick. Great if you stay in one of the nearby budget hotels- 5 mins away. Cakes looked fab but no room.

I was having a not so 100% day and I popped into Milk Tree for breakfast. I had the Turkey Sausage Omelette and it came with some toast and salad. The Flat White Coffee was served with a beautiful picture and a little Biscoff Biscuit. The service was amazing and I am going for breakfast again on Easter Break Saturday. This is truly now my Saturday Solo Date Breakfast place. Thank you so much Milk Tree.

The Milk Tree is exactly the quality of restaurant that is needed in this area. Canning Town already has all the coffee chains, within rushing distance of the station, but restaurants of this type bring an area up with civilised surroundings, non-intrusive music and warm, comfortable furnishings. It's clean, the coffee is good (Ozone, yay!) , the staff are friendly yet polite, the WiFi password is clearly given and quickly accessed without problems, and all the food looks wonderful. I needed a cake boost so I tried a slice of pistachio cake which was deliciously chocolatey but not too sweet (the friendly lady behind the counter came round to the front to explain the different types of cake available, which was really kind) It went well with my cappuccino. They also have a range of brunch and other hot food which looks and smells delicious. It's not cheap (£9+ for coffee and cake), but it's worth it for the peace of mind and the wellness benefit of finding such a wonderful oasis of calm in a fairly grim area of town. If this is the start of the gentrification of Canning Town, then bring it on. The Milk Tree is a great example of how hospitality should be done, regardless of location. I love it 💕

All Halal :) I LOVE this place. The staff are the best, super friendly and so sweet. The foo dis out of this world. That's the best breakfast you're every going to have. Super tasty. A pistachio latte needs to be permanent on their menu because it's absolutely delicious. Super comfy interior, you truly forget where you are when you walk in. LOVE LOVE LOVE. Also, buying that baklava is not optional, you HAVE TO DO IT. It's just too good

Can only give a bland 'neither here nor there - middle of the range' score because we didn't actually get to enter. Hence nothing to judge! Accompanied friend, on Good Friday, who had travelled from West Country, particularly looking forward to sampling the much acclaimed BJ'S Pie & Mash Called by phone beforehand but received no reply or recorded message. However, the Website definitely declared that the place was 'open'. Mightily peeved therefore on arrival to a find notice on door stating that the establishment was closed for Easter. Such a shame that the website didn't provide up to date information and that the phone didn't respond with similar information. Great disappointment!

Wow! I’ve been aware of roots for the last few months, as it has been very popular in East village with residents but today was the first time I was able to go with friends. I was not disappointed. We drank out way through most of the cocktail menu, each one was delcious and wonderful well presented. The tastes are great and the presentation (dry ice is a lovely touch) is amazing. The bit that makes Roots stand out is the great customer service. They were very attentive and the head bar man was more than keen to come over, talk us through the menu and advise what cocktails would best suit our palettes. There was plenty of staff around who were keen to help and serve. Overall we paid £50 each for 5 cocktails, which seems a lot if out of London but the service and choice makes this a London bargain! I could not recommend visiting enough, this bar will quickly rocket to the top of trip advisors list, so get in soon!
