A Friday night meal. Based on previous reviews we decided to visit this period built pub. Our first impression was a lovely welcome by Alicia, the young barmaid, who went out of her way in everything we asked for. Food was delicious and were large portions, which we both thoroughly enjoyed. We'll certainly be back here again next time we visit the area, thanks very much.

We went for a birthday lunch and we were hugely impressed with the whole set up. The service was excellent and the food was outstanding in every respect. We would not hesitate to recommend and look forward to seeing you again soon.

Sadly since being taken over the food here is completely sub standard to where it was before. The food served is greasy spoon cafe quality and that’s a dis service to a greasy spoon. Would not return.

Just returned from a lovely afternoon tea, complete with a glass(or 2) of fizz, with delicious non-alchoholic alternative, savoury tarts,3 different types of sandwiches, cream and jam scones, and 5 different cakes each, plus pots of tea. All served by a lovely lady, who was very friendly and attentive, and who kindly had the cakes we couldn't manage boxed up for us to take home. Lovely surroundings, clean modern toilets, very pretty building. We will return!
