We stayed at a nearby cottage a few weeks ago and the chef kindly squeezed us into a themed Indian cuisine night. What wonderful pub and the food that night and another night we are there was just incredible. He made everything from scratch. The staff were wonderful too. Thank you for making our wedding anniversary so special!

Great food and atmosphere with a nice beer garden which is very well decorated. Good selection of drinks as well for everyone

Bloody marvellous! Second time in 2 months…. We don’t live Nearby but advise anyone to stop by here for food. Proper food, no ultra-processed rubbish. No sign of those chips coming out of bag! Have a nice Prosecco in a nice tall glass. (Most Prosecco awful everywhere but here they really have a good one) Nice wines by glass and also hand-pull ales. Friendly team and super clean place. Immaculate. It’s a little out in the sticks… so please everybody go here and keep it going… would be an awful loss if didn’t survive due to lack of customers from surrounding area 😁 Wonderful and 6 stars out of 5 🌟

What a cute little find this was! We we’re going to Norwich from Essex and wanted to stop for lunch along the way. Found this little place on google and after reading the reviews, we booked a table. The reviews were right- food was beautiful. Even my (fussy) children liked it. The pub itself is adorably cute with a lovely outside space. The atmosphere was so relaxing and the staff were friendly, polite and attentive. If it was more local to us we would be here every week. I love this pub!

I hadn't been there for quite some time and was invited to a quiz night . The people who served behind the bar and the staff who served food were all very efficient and nothing was to much trouble. I had a brilliant evening and the food was excellent just like the beer , a great place to spend time with friends and relax I will definitely be going there again

What a lovely place. We had a Sunday roast and it may well have been the best I have ever had. The beef brisket that came with the slice of broiled beef was to die for and there were huge amounts of flavourful veg and gravy. We also enjoyed some yummy desserts. Absolutely delicious!

Went on a Friday which was their BBQ menu and it did not disappoint. Booked a table as the weather was nice the staff reserved table both indoors and out so we could choose. The pub is set back from the road so you can't hear any traffic passing through. We didn't have to wait long to be served. Lots of local craft and imported drinks on tap. As the BBQ was already going out food was served within 10mins. All fresh produce cooked perfectly and presented really well. The staff were really friendly making sure everyone was catered for. The food was very reasonable priced and we will definitely be making this one of our regular out spots.

Stopped here to meet a friend for lunch. Very nice pub inside and out. Food lovely, we had Sunday lunch and they have a great, comfortable seating area at the front with sofas and individual seating. Was a lovely warm Sunday when we were there.

Had the roast a few weeks ago and honestly all I can say is woww!! the beef was tender and falling apart, potatoes crispy on the outside and fluffy inside, just everything on the plate was 10/10 even the vegetables which I don’t really eat can’t wait to come back and try again 😍

Called in at lunchtime to try the 2 x fish and chips for £25. Was delicious and homemade tartare sauce a lovely extra. Super friendly staff. Thank you.

Waste of time asking for takeaway on Sundays - they just can’t be bothered

Fabulous food in this country pub with a beautiful garden under new ownership. Menu is varied with traditional pub fare and something’s a little different. Highly recommended is the Wasabi Cod and the fully loaded burgers. The desserts are really delicious we had the yoghurt panna cotta and the white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake. Will definitely be visiting regularly.

SO good!!! Just had a birthday lunch here (seems to be the spot to celebrate as there were three other sets of customers having a birthday lunch at the same time). From the warm and friendly welcome to the first delicious mouthful of food - we knew we were onto a winner and were already talking about who we would bring back on future occasions. The menu was perfect with a good choice for those who want to perhaps experiment with some new flavours and combinations to the time honoured classic of beer battered fish and chips (Adnams of course😉) or home made beef burger and chips. This is a pub restaurant that publicly supports local produce and suppliers and one that I would definitely recommend and look forward to revisiting. BTW, if you are a fan of sticky toffee pudding - you won't be disappointed!

We dined at Burston Crown for the first time yesterday evening. It was amazing, fabulous food, great service and a wonderful ambiance. An excellent selection of ales and lagers. Will definitely be back.

Really enjoyed the experience. The food was exceptional and a treat for the last day of our break. Only wished we had found it sooner so we could have tried more form the menu - great to come across hosts who understand great food and staff who extend a personal service. A find we will be back to!

Last minute choice for Sunday lunch with my with. Called ahead and they kindly accommodated us. Had the roast beef Absolutely superb, well presented, great service and reasonable price. Worth the visit and will do so again.

What a fantastic pub. We booked ahead requesting a table outside in the shade as one of our group is still shielding and needs to avoid sunlight. We were offered a beach hut. When we arrived we were told they weren't using the beach huts due to the exceptionally hot weather - we agreed it would have been very uncomfortable. They went out of their way to accommodate us, moving tables around so that we could be outside in the shade. Welcoming, friendly, helpful staff. Very much appreciated. We had a wonderful lunch, great service and a lovely atmosphere. We're not surprised it's popular. We very much hope to be back.

This is a really beautiful pub and the food is outstanding. The staff are really lovely and the dogs were made very welcome. Thoroughly recommended.

Recently visited for lunch with my friend and our two children. The waitress was very helpful and attentive. Lovely outdoor area with plenty of space and under cover area to eat and for the children to toddle around. Beautiful building, nice inside although a little dark. The food was really tasty, but there was only one option for vegans. Luckily the one option was absolutely delicious, but it means I wouldn’t return so soon knowing there’s nothing else on the menu suitable for me.

Probably one of the best food pubs in the area, you’ll find Bev and Steve have made a great place for you too enjoy and drink and a bite to eat. The menu has dishes that would rival any top restaurant, so you won’t be disappointed; all served with some top wine or a locally brewed beer.

Lovely Sunday roast, everything cooked to perfection and a very hearty meal indeed. The staff are friendly, hardworking and go the extra mile and always welcome you in with a big smile on their faces. Absolutely nothing to fault whatsoever. Would highly recommend.

Really enjoyed this place. We had Saturday evening dinner here. It's hard to make up your mind when the menu is so imaginative and enticing. I went for Tempura Battered Tiger Prawns in a Sweet Chilli Sauce followed by one of my favourite dishes, Smoked Haddock Chowder with Saffron & Spring Onions. My partner went for Grilled Asparagus with Creamed Goat's Cheese, and the best choice of the evening - enthusiastically recommended by the table next to us - Moroccan Chicken Filo Pastry Pie with Broccoli & Almonds. Spectacular! Best of all, the staff were so efficient, speedy, enthusiastic... and fun. Thoroughly recommended!

Checked local area for best place for nice roast dinner and reviews were not wrong so pleased we were able to have lunch here staff were very welcoming and having booked just 30 minutes before arrival all was ready for us . They have beach huts in the garden for groups up to 6 it was very nice sitting in the sun out of the breeze very relaxing young lady took our drinks order and shortly after order for food , we both had the Roast Beef and it was excellent value for money and the vegetables were well prepared as well and good portions , the whole meal was very nice and even the drinks were good price unlike some pubs who charge over the top on drinks . Would recommend this restaurant for a meal if you are in the area you will not be disappointed by service or food

Being very COVID cautious, we've not been eating-in for some time. We were very pleased to find the Crown's little beach huts could accommodate the four of us on a sunny but blustery January day. Had a lovely Burns Night inspired steak and chips with Haggis and a whiskey sauce, followed by wonderful desserts. A great find. Will definitely go back.

Excellent menu with not your usual pub food choices. The orices are a little above your normal pub but worth it. The staff and service are great, really make you feel welcome. We would definitely go back again.

We found this pub by chance when looking for somewhere to stop on the way back from Norwich. The only reason we considered it was because the pubs directly on the A140 were fully booked. We will now not consider going anywhere else! The Crown at Burston is fantastic! Cosy, warm, open fireplace, great food and welcoming and friendly staff! What a gem to have discovered! We will be back!! Well done guys!

Lovely Sunday roast and great service, hasn't let us down over last two years

What a lovely pub this is and with so much character and such a chilled out vibe in the place. The staff where very welcoming and the service was quick and of a great standard. The food was just fantastic and we only ate off the bar menu the special menu looked absolutely amazing but I just could resist the cod and chips and it was not a let down by a long shot the best I’ve had in years, and then the pudding was to die for that brownie was sooooo good I’d highly recommend both dishes.

Great service and delicious food, so much so that we recommend this place whenever someone asks “where is good to eat round here ?”
