The best restaurants in Chelmsford Rural West Chelmsford East of England

What a treat! Went on a Sunday for late lunch and it didn't disappoint! The food was excellent and I have to say the sticky toffee pudding was the best I have ever tasted. The service was really spot on. Made you feel very welcome as soon as we walked in. Nothing was too much trouble. The ambience was calm and relaxing. White table clothes which is always a plus and real candles in candelabras. Highly recommended. It's now top of my list and will be back!

Visited valentines times day and it was the best service food and atmosphere is second to none and I cant wait to return sad to see it is up for sale and hoping when it sells they can continue this

Beautiful pub with equally beautiful views. Food is absolutely amazing. The steak, ale and horseradish pie was fantastic. Staff are friendly and welcoming.

I've wanted to go to this pub for ages. The reason being it was Keith flints pub. I was absolutely made up that I've photos of me outside which I'll frame. I do live far away so this has made my year being a big fan. I went inside and it was not what I expected. To be honest it has some nice charm to it. A real nice country pub. Prices are reasonable and the bar staff very friendly. I would recommend and would love to go back again.

Lovely surroundings and beautiful decor inside. The service was great, the food delicious, and good value too. I would recommend.

We were a family group of about 20 people. Lovely festive atmosphere with log fire. The food was good quality, nice choice. and the staff were very attentive. Considering we were a large group they looked after us really well. It was my mum’s 70th and they helped to make it really special. Would definitely recommend
