The best restaurants in Castle Wellingborough East Midlands

Excellent traditional Chinese Food ! I have been going to the Spring Star for over 40 years now & tried most of the menu in that time. The food has always been exceptional & has remained the same for over a few decades now so if you prefer traditional style chinese food from back in the day I highly recommend this. It has always been fabulous value too (the best infact!) & has very kind,welcoming & freindly owners there also. It's just such a shame they dont deliver as that would be the icing on the cake. Finally,if you have not tried it already, you must try No.92 (House Special Fried Rice). I have it quite often & it is pure pleasure on a plate (or straight out of the dish of course lol) & it's very satisfying too! 5 stars all the way is a no brainer for me as Spring Star is simply superb. Tried to book a table for 2 and it says fully booked until 1945. So I tried to book for 2000 and it says fully booked until 2200. Re-entered for 1830 today and it again says fully booked until 1945 BUT YOU CANNOT BOOK A TABLE AT ANY TIME.Perhaps as well it’s closing down soon!

Great small Mcds, staff were very friendly especially the mature front of house lady. The food was built with care which was a shock for Mcds.
