This is such great food. I have never had anything like it. It’s brilliant value for money as it really does fill you up and the flavours are beautiful. I think my favourite is the pickle but I do like the sweet chilli too. It’s a great idea for lunch on the go but doesn’t have the “fatty” feel that you get with fast food takeaways. Five stars from me.

This was my first time trying this place and I must say it exceeded my expectations. I had heard great things about the food and it absolutely lived up to the recommendations. Ordering online was straightforward and I was able to select my preferred collection time, which was very convenient. The food itself was outstanding—full of flavour and beautifully prepared. The wrap I ordered was filled with fresh, crisp salad, halloumi and mushrooms. The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming when I collected. I’m already looking forward to ordering again—thank you for a wonderful meal!

I usually eat in the restaurant and have always enjoyed the food but today decided to order a takeaway using the online app. I collected the meal at the specified time but it appeared to have been prepared hours ago when I placed order as everything was stone cold. Very disappointed.

The welcome is lovely as is the restaurant. The food is good but not outstanding. Starters just poppadoms with pickle tray, the mango chutney was disappointing and the price of the pickle tray is ridiculous. We shared three main dishes and plenty of sides between the 4 of us and the portions are generous. Can not fault food it’s just good. This is definitely the place to eat on Wednesday/Sunday when they have their offer price on.

With word of mouth i was given Good advice the other day. I decided, that i would go and visit the Local very Popular Walnut Tree. When i walked into the Bar area, i was given a very Friendly and Warm Welcome. I was asked what would i like to Drink. My Delicious pint was then poored for me. I paid for my Drink, i thanked the Bar Server for my pint, i then went and found a table and sat down. We both had a very Good conversation and it made it a very Good atmosphere to Enjoy this Beautiful Local Inn. Whilst i was Enjoying myself i got myself another pint. I stayed in the Pub for a while. Wheh i was ready, i left and Thanked the Bar Server very much for my pints. I told him, I will be coming back. I was thinking that I really Love the Walnut Tree. I Recommend most Utterly and Sincerely you come and visit this Old English Deepings Gem situated along the road in Horsegate, Deeping St. James. Ist visit and was very happy in all departments. Polite helpful staff, quick service, excellent food and very good price. My wife and sister in law agree so I can HIGHLY RECOMMEND this takeaway.

We booked a table last minute and we were looked after very well. Food was good and plenty of it.

Lovely locals pub (although welcoming to visitors), a lot of charity events, occasional live music, a good guest ale. Large outside space for summer days.

Lots of eating opportunities left and right of the micro pub. Simply an admirable place to discover ales - it has a good range and now that it has such a large following, there are plenty on offer at a very reasonable £4 a pint ( June 2024). What better than get an Indian delivered and eat that with the beers. Fabulous. Special days out around the area makes it a very sociable place
