10/10 better than curry from India

Had the Best chicken momo and chicken chilly here! Apart from this, my usual favorite thing to order is Chicken Biryani and tandoori Chicken 😍

The food was way to sweet, I couldn’t eat it all. Previously had been good and more spicy. I did not enjoy this time.

Used to love ordering from here , it's the best in deeping but unfortunately I don't agree with the prices now. Think spice merchant should offer a meal deal online with curry rice and naan deal ... just a thought

This is honestly the best Indian I’ve ever had. My parents and I order from here regularly and we’ve never had a bad meal ever. Piping hot, full of flavour and amazing quality ingredients; extremely worth the money. Will never stop ordering from here! 🫶🏻

Moved nearby about six months ago, and this has become our go-to takeaway. Food is always delicious, delivered hot, and the quality of the ingredients (including meat) is insanely high. This makes it very good value and I regularly recommend to everyone! Great variety of dishes, have tried many different ones and look forward to trying more. Still to visit the restaurant but sure we’ll have the same great experience we have the last six or so times! Thank you.

We've had half a dozen or so meals now from The Spice Merchant and easily the best Indian locally on this app. Tasty food, hot, on time delivery.

We use your takeaway delivery service about twice a year, normally our experience is 5 star all the way, however last night we found the food below the normal standard, the Chicken tasted old and re-heated, and the Korma sauce/Gravy was watery and lacking taste, rice however was good, and delivery driver friendly, I hope this is just a one off bad night, food was always delightful from here, makes me wonder if the restaurant has new owners?

I came with my family and i must say I'm very impressed , with the service, in which the staff was very kind The food came pretty quick. I ordered a chicken korma with egg fried rice and it is the best ive had. This Indian restaurant is highly recommended to everyone.

Been here twice now, both times with children in tow. The food is incredible and the staff are very friendly. My children love going here and they always feel welcome. Definitely our “go to” for a good meal out.

Delicious! Will definitely order again, tasted so fresh and flavoursome and arrived when expected. Look forward to sampling some different dishes next time. Not the cheapest takeaway option, but restaurant quality and generously portioned, so well worth it.

Delivered on time waiting time was around an hour, but food was delicious and well worth the wait and price. Generous portions and lots of meat in the curry. The only reason I’ve given 4 instead of the full 5 stars is that by the time it was delivered the food had started to get cold and had to be reheated before eating.

This place has seriously gone downhill. Onion bhaji was completely dry and crunchy. No salad or anything with it. Straight in the bin. Poppadoms and pickles all tasted weird, CTM had hardly any meat and the sauce had a strange consistency. Won't order again

As others have said a very good meal, better than many others I have had. Very tasty and different flavours for different dishes. Friendly service and even had free poppadoms 😊. Delicious thank you

Wow! A real surprise in middle of social housing area. Very friendly welcome, explained different Nepalese flavours and dishes. Plates warmed, chutney trays homemade, best keema nan, wife had salmon I had Temuri curry, light flavoursome rice. Attention from staff just right. Will definitely come again. Thank you 😊

Unfortunately I found it really expensive for the quality which was just ok. The rice was way over cooked and stodgy. Flavours were ok but overall a bit disappointing.

I’m guessing Spice Merchant has changed hands now and have seen some of the reviews which aren’t great. However we had a really good meal tonight. The mixed grill seemed more substantial and the side salad was good. The paneer makhani was really good and I really liked the chopped spring onion in the egg fried rice. We’ve always liked spice merchant and we still do. Thanks!

Just had a fabulous meal in this restaurant. Tucked away you would never find it without the power of social media. Excellent menu - good food, hot plates(yes!)and friendly service. First class.

Hassle free relaxed evening meal. Tasty and slightly spicy vegetable curry was spot on. Service was excellent, attentive but not annoying.

First take away from this restaurant, sheek kebab starter, chicken Madras and pilau rice with Nan bread.excellent taste good portions and a fair price if you enjoy a good curry this is the place for you.

By far the best curry in the area....the Lasun Khursani is easily the best I've had and I've had many! Tried yiu guys a few times with several different meals to be sure but, seriously good food. We won't order from anywhere else now. Highly recommend, especially the Lasun Khursani if you like a bit of spice!

Spice Merchant as name suggests is a very good Indian restaurant which makes a perfect use of spices. I was brought up India and I always strive to find an authentic Indian restaurant in UK and in this restaurant I could find some authentic Indian dishes. Starters w(mixed grill,Momo). Tandoori Chicken which you get in most of the restaurants is pink coloured chicken but here you can taste the real spices and it's not pink. Main courses - Goat curry and Malabar Prawn were really good. I can definitely recommend this restaurant to anybody looking for authentic Indian food. Staff are very polite and take good care of you. I will definitely pay a visit again....Thanks for the awesome food.

An absolutely incredible experience . A true hole in the wall. It was a fabulous and fantastic meal. Honsetly one of the best meals I have ever had the service was fantastic and as our first time there the recommendations offered from our host was exactly what we needed I genuinely cannot fault. The list in experience is well worth it xxx we gave had takeaway from them prior and that was amazing this just is beyond top food and service.
