The food was amazing and Ash put up an amazing show in the teppanayaki table!

We had just dropped our daughter off at the train station and fancied a bite to eat before our 1 hour journey back home. 17th August 24, we stumbled upon Katana. It looked nice and we could see they catered for people with allergies and food intolerance issues. Great we thought. Unfortuneatly the vegetarian options have either oyster sauce in them or meat stock. Not sure why 😳 We ended up with just the vegetarian starters and were given some vegan sushi on the house. A very disappointing and some what concerning experience 😞 if a menu is marked up as being vegetarian, then why oh why put meat stock in it ? Unfortunately there was no explanation as to why, just a, that's how it's done.

I've been longing to try Teppanyaki and and Katana did not disappoint me. It's our first time, Chef Santos made my experienced on Teppanyaki so memorable. He was so kind and very funny. Food was so delicious. We love fried rice and the meat are so tender. we will definitely come back and Katana is one of our favorite restaurants. Aside from Chef Santos all the staff are very nice and accommodating. Lovely environment too.

This was my third trip to Katana and the service has been consistently high across the visits! Food is delicious, and staff are friendly and attentive. On this visit, we brought our children and decided to try the Teppanyaki table and wow! We were thoroughly entertained by Chef Yam. He was brilliant, entertaining and interactive. He made us all laugh and was the highlight of our visit. Can't recommend Katana Grantham highly enough. We'll be back. Thank you!

Decided to celebrate the start if our trip up north with a Teppanyaki dinner. Santos was iur chef. A very friendly n accommodating guy. Only 6 months on the job, his skills were impressive. Very entertaining indeed.

Katana is a wonderful experience. If you book a teppanyaki table the entertaining chefs create a fantastic show in front of you. Our chef was called Santos and he was brilliant. The food was perfect in every way. A lovely meal and an unmissable venue if you are in Grantham.

WoW WoW WoW what an excellent experience this evening was. Food, AMAZING service OUT OF THIS WORLD, atmosphere, lacked a little background music from Japan in my opinion, decor looked fresh. We was greated with smiles all night, the staff couldn't do enough and regularly checked everything was ok. 2 years we have lived in Grantham, and I'm personally gutted we haven't been here before. We will be back (probably without the kids) and we are already looking forward to trying more dishes. Thank you so much Katana

Our family’s first experience of Japanese food & they all absolutely loved the experience. 4 of us got the tepenyaki set menu & 1 got sushi, she said it was delicious. Our chef Santos was gracious & entertaining, really making the experience fun. Lovely fresh food from starters thru to dessert. Service from everyone was excellent. We will be back I am sure. Definitely worth a trip if you’re not local.

I feel this restaurant deserves 10,000 stars, I was particularly impressed with the service and the food. I've been to 'upscale' Japanese restaurants elsewhere and they were nowhere near the experience we had at Katana. The chicken yakisoba was so good it almost brought a tear to my eyes (no I'm not being sarcastic it was THAT good), and I really loved that we got a miso soup and an oshibori, giving our dinner a truly Japanese touch. Minna san otsukaresamadeshita and thanks again for the delicious food.

Seriously excellent dinner tonight. Decided after a day at Twin Lakes to go to Katana for Teppanyaki. Great idea! Our chef Yam was the perfect host. Funny guy and cooked our food to perfection!

We had a tepeniyaki table and cheff Santos was great . The presentation of peraration of the food was fenomenal . Highly recomend . The only suggestion that deserts and starters could been more authentic to much with main meal. Will be back ,

Our first visit, definitely won’t be our last! The food was delicious, fresh, fast and left us feeling that nice kind of full. The service was the best we have experienced in a very long time, lovely people, very attentive and knowledgeable when asked for recommendations. Overall, a fabulous way to spend an evening!!!

First time that we have japanese food as a portuguese family and we loved it. Atmosphere, decoration and service was very good. However, the one who made our evening was our Chef V! Very welcoming and entertaining, he made ourselves very comfortable and cooked us food perfectly. It was a first time but it won’t be the last! 👏

Food was amazing. Hospitality was even more amazing. We went today for dinner as it was Richard’s(our elder son’s) 17th birthday.. Chef Santosh gurung made the foods for us which was of a top notch. Chef Santosh has the best hospitality that anyone who sees him will definitely go back again. Not only hospitality Santosh is one of the best chef that we can find in the town or wider community.

Had a great birthday meal here, teppanyaki style. Our chef, Santosh was brilliant and very talented! All of the staff were great and very accommodating. The birthday slice of cake and shot were also brilliant.

It was Sunday so not many people in. The two that served us were superb. Explained the food and the sake. The food was fresh and delicious. We will be going back for a big family meal. The portion sizes were also generous. Excellent atmosphere and Japanese traditions. They also didn't mind us sharing a pudding and bringing to spoons.

I brought my mum here as she has been wanting to visit for a long time, and everything was absolutely perfect. We dined at the teppanyaki table, where our chef, Santos, put on an excellent display, was incredibly lovely the whole evening, and made some truly wonderful food. Thank you so much to all of the staff and chefs, my mum had a fabulous time and she (and I!) will certainly be coming back again with other family members.

What an amazing night out. Having date night with the wife we had the set menu which was 4 courses for £19.00. Well I have to say it was by no means a budget quality meal as everything was so fresh and tasty. This was everything you could ask for in a night out. The staff was so pleasant and polite added to the speed of which everything happened was fantastic but at no point did we feel rushed. Just want to say a huge thank you to all the team from top to bottom.

Wonderful teppanyaki with chef V

We were made to wait in the waiting area for ten minutes despite booking and there being a plethora of tables available. As well, the difference in food between the deluxe set menu and the imperial set menu does definitely not justify the price. Otherwise, it was an enjoyable enough place to eat. The vegetable tempura was good, as was yakisoba.

It was a bit like an American diner, but the food was excellent. The Chilli prawns for a starter were lovely, and the fish curry was great too.

We had our sons 15th birthday there this evening, we was very happy with the services and the food, it was lovely and the man who cooked our food in front of us (M) he was amazing they all went the Estes mile for my sons birthday they sang happy birthday twice and gave him a dessert and free drink 🍹 would definitely go back! Lovely people, lovely food and we all enjoyed it! Thank you

I had really a hectic schedule last time. In the mean time, I ordered Teppanyaki Set Meal to escape from my big hunger. The food prepared by the chef was really amazing and finger licking with nice and typical Sauce. It was very nice and delicious Japanese Cuisine from the Restaurant even in our small city Grantham. I can't stop myself visiting there to have good and mouthwatering Japanese food. I also strongly recommend the Restaurant for your hunger..........👍🤤🦈🦞🍣🥑

We came here for Valentine’s Day and had the food cooked in front of us. V the chef was very entertaining and made the night one to remember. This place is definitely one to try and tick of your list!! Thankyou for the amazing food and service

Shocking, the food was not as advertised, the lobster, soft shell crab and rib eye were all poor substitutes, see photos was told it was a new chef how is that an excuse and why put him on a Saturday night the busiest night. It was very poor all round our 41st wedding anniversary was a bust

We had a family Teppanyaki meal and I’d forgotten just how good this restaurant is. The food is superb. The service is incredible and the prices are really good. Got to be the best restaurant in town.

Amazing place to eat! Had a good chef called M who was great entertainment and also a great chef! Lovely atmosphere. Wasn't busy for a Friday night at all, everyone was very polite and the service was very quick. Will definitely be coming back again!

We booked a Teppanyaki table. Our chef "M" cooked our food on the table. He made it fun and my boy enjoyed it very much. The food was great, my wife had sea bass and I had steak. Thanks to M and all the staff at Katana :)

WOW 🍜 🍣 🍱 🍤 🇯🇵 What a place! New fave restaurant right here 🥰 I’m so sad it’s not closer to home (we came about 15 miles based on a family recommendation having had a recent 21st birthday there). Beautiful food, fresh, so tasty, light and piping hot! Exceeded all of our expectations. Champagne cocktails, Tokyo coffee and ferrero roche ice cream. Lovely atmosphere, clean, chilled, funky toilets, and the staff were all so attentive on a really busy evening, friendly and welcoming from the second we walked in. Very passionate about the restaurant, their food and your experience. The restaurant was full of large groups and still we felt like we were the only ones there, miso soup to the table as an appetiser whilst we chose our starters, personalised recommendations based on what we had eaten elsewhere before and our mood. Hot towels at the end and just such a lovely feel. This is my perfect restaurant. Thank you all. We dined on a normal table from the normal menu as we have had tepinyaki many times before in the UK and abroad and just wanted our own space and table tonight. First visit and we are already sharing and telling all of our friends and family. We will be back for sure 💓 thank you all @ Katana xxxx

Amazing food and chef! We were super hungry and were hoping to get some nice food and set off home. We needed to take a brake before driving, as the portion was big as well. We’ve tried sushi as well. All food was super tasty and nicely served. Thanks to Chef EM for making our night special ♥️

The staff were very welcoming & friendly, they couldn’t do enough for us throughout the whole meal. V was very entertaining while cooking the food, making us laugh & including all 6 of us. Lovely food at a reasonable price. We will definitely be returning. We had a brilliant night celebrating my daughter’s 16th birthday.

The service was good but the food was average and portions were too small for the money they charged.
