Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Katana. We had Teppanyaki, Yam was our chef and he gave us superb service, great food and good fun.

We went for the four course Teppanyaki meal me and my sisters were greeted by very polite staff and everything was amazing Santos the guy who cooked our meal on the Teppanyaki was so professional and made us feel so comfortable and made us laugh so much. Easily our favourite sushi place. The food is fantastic. The staff are attentive and helpful. The atmosphere is great. 100% would recommend. There is parking just around the corner, which is free after 6pm. We love the spider rolls, which not all sushi restaurants make. We absolutely love this place.

First time I have been here and it was amazing. Brilliant food and great service. I had some of the best sushi I have ever had. If I'm ever near by I'm definitely coming back.

Went here last night for the first time with the family, our chef was Yam and he was really good. Food and service was excellent, we could not fault anything at all. Definitely 5 stars from us, and we will definitely be going back

Amazing fun evening at the teppanyaki table. Santos was a fantastic personable showman chef. Opted for the set menu, with choice of three different meat/fish each. Our favourites was the steak, salmon, duck and prawns. It's a 5 star from us ☺️

Fantastic birthday dinner at Katana! Everything was delicious! The staff was amazing the entire evening! Our chef Santos was super friendly and entertaining and cooked our meals to our individual tastes. I even got a birthday cake and a shot! Definitely recommend and will be coming back

This is our second visit and as always we leave extremely satisfied. The food is delicious, the service is so nice, polite and professional. The restaurant is very clean. I don't think there is a better place to recommend in Grantham. I highly recommend it. Today, for Valentine's Day, every lady even received a rose 🥰😍🙂

Great Atmosphere for the second you walk in the door and the staff make you feel welcome. The food is honestly some of the best food I have had since moving to Grantham and the fact that the do take away is amazing. Keep up the great work guys

It was exceptional meal - beautifully prepared teppanyaki right in front of us by Yam. All of the staff were professional and friendly.

I recently dined at Katana after weeks of anticipation for their teppanyaki cuisine. I went with a group of four, and for the three others, it was their first experience at a hibachi grill. I made a reservation online but received a prompt email informing me that my requested time wasn’t available. However, they were able to accommodate us just 30 minutes later, which I appreciated. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by friendly staff and seated at the teppanyaki grill within just two minutes. We ordered a selection of teppanyaki steak, lamb, and chicken. Our chef, who introduced himself as "V," was fantastic! He made the experience not only entertaining but also expertly cooked our meals. The servers were attentive throughout the evening, frequently checking in to ensure we had everything we needed. Overall, we had a great time with the teppanyaki grill experience, although we all found the food to be a bit greasier than expected. I was so captivated by the cooking show and all the flames that I forgot to take pictures, but I did remember to snap one when our teppanyaki ice cream dessert was served. While I enjoyed my time at the restaurant, I think that if I return, I might opt for a regular table instead. With four grills in operation, the atmosphere was lively, but each grill follows a similar routine and shares the same jokes. Once you’ve seen one show, it feels like you’ve seen them all. Overall, it was a memorable experience!

Our family of six adults had a very enjoyable experience at Katana Restaurant while visiting Grantham for Christmas. The restaurant provided a warm and welcoming atmosphere, which made our holiday outing feel even more special. Chef Yam was an excellent host and went above and beyond to ensure our meal was memorable. He cooked our food to suit our individual preferences, which added a personal touch that we really appreciated. The food itself was flavorful and well-prepared, with a good variety of options to choose from. The portion sizes were generous, and we felt the price was very reasonable considering the quality and amount of food provided. Overall, it was a positive experience, and we’d recommend Katana to anyone looking for a good meal in Grantham. If we’re ever back in the area, we’d be happy to visit again.

Chef Yam was very entertaining and he put on an excellent show! The kids gave him 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ However, we (the adults) were a little frustrated by the waitress who wasn’t particularly welcoming when almost telling us off for what we’d ordered (a mix of teppanyaki dishes and sushi). Drinks service was also a little slow.

Miso on arrival. Provided high chair which is just at finger pinch height to meet the table, so be careful of that. Drinks n food quick and second order of food too

Good sushi and they put a lot of effort into providing good service. I wish the fried chicken starter was crispier, although my partner enjoyed it a lot. 2nd visit: the unlimited sushi night on Tuesdays is excellent value for money. The only critical feedback I have is that I’d recommend playing some music to add to the restaurant ambiance. I also would have preferred if our finished plates were cleared from the table instead of piling up as we ordered more food. Otherwise I find they make a great effort with their customer service and I look forward to coming back.

This place is amazing the staff are super friendly and attentive. We went for my daughter’s 9th birthday and they made it such a special night for her highly recommended. Santos our chef really went out of his way to make it a very special evening! The whole staff awesome please support these guys

Our Tappen-yaki chef, Aym, was amazingly talented and patient with us! The place was alive with cooking action! Food was great with the staff making sure all allergies are attended to. Went to Katana this evening to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We opted for the Teppanyaki and wow it did not disappoint. Our chef was Santos who was amazing and the food he cooked was out of this world. The service was amazing too. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Santos was our teppanyaki chef and was absolutely awesome! We really enjoyed our food: as a party of four we all had something different-steak, prawns, sea bass and chicken. All cooked to perfection and full of flavour. Brilliant service by all staff (but especially santos, our chef)-we were never short of a drink or short of something to eat. The green tea and black sesame ice cream was divine to finish with. Thank you Katana for a great evening!

We came for their Teppanyaki special which they have Wednesdays and Thursday! It was great value for money, 4 courses and all of decent size, I had enough to take home for the next day. What stood out most for me was the amazing service, staff were lovely and very attentive all evening. The restaurant was quiet which affected the atmosphere but that can’t be helped mid week. I would definitely visit again and try their main menu this time.

Me and partner visited here on a Thursday for dinner. The food was delicious, the chef Yam was amazing and friendly which made our evening even more special. Great value for money as we got 4 courses for £20 pp.

Dropped in for a quiet birthday meal. Absolutely fantastic food! Started with Gyozas and Tempura Veg and had the Yakisoba Noddles with vegetables and Crispy Noodles with Prawns. Lovely bottle of pinot noir to also. All elements of the meal were fantastic and the service was flawless.

We had just dropped our daughter off at the train station and fancied a bite to eat before our 1 hour journey back home. 17th August 24, we stumbled upon Katana. It looked nice and we could see they catered for people with allergies and food intolerance issues. Great we thought. Unfortuneatly the vegetarian options have either oyster sauce in them or meat stock. Not sure why 😳 We ended up with just the vegetarian starters and were given some vegan sushi on the house. A very disappointing and some what concerning experience 😞 if a menu is marked up as being vegetarian, then why oh why put meat stock in it ? Unfortunately there was no explanation as to why, just a, that's how it's done.

I've been longing to try Teppanyaki and and Katana did not disappoint me. It's our first time, Chef Santos made my experienced on Teppanyaki so memorable. He was so kind and very funny. Food was so delicious. We love fried rice and the meat are so tender. we will definitely come back and Katana is one of our favorite restaurants. Aside from Chef Santos all the staff are very nice and accommodating. Lovely environment too.

This was my third trip to Katana and the service has been consistently high across the visits! Food is delicious, and staff are friendly and attentive. Decided to celebrate the start if our trip up north with a Teppanyaki dinner. Santos was iur chef. A very friendly n accommodating guy. Only 6 months on the job, his skills were impressive. Very entertaining indeed.

Katana is a wonderful experience. If you book a teppanyaki table the entertaining chefs create a fantastic show in front of you. Our chef was called Santos and he was brilliant. The food was perfect in every way. A lovely meal and an unmissable venue if you are in Grantham.

WoW WoW WoW what an excellent experience this evening was. Food, AMAZING service OUT OF THIS WORLD, atmosphere, lacked a little background music from Japan in my opinion, decor looked fresh. We was greated with smiles all night, the staff couldn't do enough and regularly checked everything was ok. 2 years we have lived in Grantham, and I'm personally gutted we haven't been here before. We will be back (probably without the kids) and we are already looking forward to trying more dishes. Thank you so much Katana

Our family’s first experience of Japanese food & they all absolutely loved the experience. 4 of us got the tepenyaki set menu & 1 got sushi, she said it was delicious. Our chef Santos was gracious & entertaining, really making the experience fun. Lovely fresh food from starters thru to dessert. Service from everyone was excellent. We will be back I am sure. Definitely worth a trip if you’re not local.

I feel this restaurant deserves 10,000 stars, I was particularly impressed with the service and the food. I've been to 'upscale' Japanese restaurants elsewhere and they were nowhere near the experience we had at Katana. The chicken yakisoba was so good it almost brought a tear to my eyes (no I'm not being sarcastic it was THAT good), and I really loved that we got a miso soup and an oshibori, giving our dinner a truly Japanese touch. Minna san otsukaresamadeshita and thanks again for the delicious food.

The service was the best we have experienced in a very long time, lovely people, very attentive and knowledgeable when asked for recommendations. Overall, a fabulous way to spend an evening!!!
