i visited this cafe on a sunday. and purchased 2 bacon and egg baps which i found to be cooked very well. i also had 2 cappuccinos which was also very nice. i was served by two very friendly and helpful lady members of staff, and went the extra mile even though it seemed extra busy . i was offered a loyalty card which took me by surprise as i wouldn't have expected for this type of establishment.would come back for sure when passing .

Earlier in the year a friend tipped me off about a Vegan Cafe in Northampton. Finally made it here to fuel up for a day in Northampton that is celebrating music, but for me Record Store Day is about also celebrating independent businesses. This is a boat that has kept afloat for 10 years. 2 levels with beautiful views and scrumptious food. Beetroot Hot Chocolate came with a heart and was definitely made with love. Lovely staff.

Lovely old pub, just outside of Northampton Town in a village called Great Houghton. A short taxi ride from the town centre, or walkable from the nearby hotels (Premier Inn & Holiday Inn) close to Brackmills industrial estate Having already tried their curry night - which I’ve previous reviewed, I was excited to try their Thai night. I think (may be wrong) that they were taking a rest from their normal fare which at this time of year is a very nice Christmas themed menu, by letting a 3rd party take over the kitchen and give something different to their customers, and their own kitchen staff the night off. Service was good - informal and efficient. Food was BIG portions, hot and well presented. We panicked when we first saw the generous starters - there were so much of the 4 different starters - enough for 4 (there were just the 2 of us). The starters went down really well - together with the dips that came with them. The mains were also generous portions - the gap between clearing the starters and the arrival of the main course was appreciated. The beef and chicken mains were tasty, served with prawn and pineapple rice. Everything was washed down with some perfectly chilled Thai beer. The dishes were clearly hand made - no frozen spring rolls here. I would have preferred a little more spice - but can understand that others might not. I’d suggest a hot sauce be added with the starters and maybe some chillies on the side to allow the levels of spice to be adjusted at the table.
