Costa Coffee in Northampton

Walked in at 5.58, understanding they close at 6, however they still had a queue. I joined the queue, was told to put my food back as they had already turned off the ovens and to order quickly. (Baring in mind I was rushing to get my son something to eat as we’d been waiting for hours in a&e to then return for our wait) Trying to be understanding I mentioned to the staff remember making my drink that I appreciate that they still served me even though I wasn’t keen on their customer service and mentioned I was also a barista for another business so I understand the feeling of needing to close. To this comment I made I was welcomed with a very rude member of staff laughing and asking where I worked because I couldn’t possibly relate to how stressful and awful her job was. I was then insulted by the staff member saying if I really do love my job I’m not doing it correctly. I quickly paid so I could leave because I was disgusted by their customer service. No matter where I have worked within this industry, correct me if I am wrong, but weather you walk through to door at opening time or closing time, every customer should be greeted and treated with respect and kindness. I would recommend some staff customer training. I’ll also mention that even after all of this, my order was incorrect! Will not be returning 👍

We have been using the main reception Costa for the last couple of years whilst having treatment. The staff are all lovely, always chatty and give advice when needed. Having been in lots of Costa’s this is by far the busiest but the staff always give the customers their attention regardless of how many busy they are.

Staff close early. Twice I've tried recently 20 to 30 minutes before close. I won't try again. Very unprofessional !!

Not sure if all Costa are the same but 1 bit of bacon is a scam.

Very poor service, staff sarcastic and to busy talking to each other.

I've just awful service from a very rude sales assistant. Not knowing it was all takeaway I made the the mistake of saying I'd like to have my goods to drink in, as you would in any other Costa. The sales assistant was very sarcastic with me and humiliated me in front of everyone. She then had the cheek to say I was having a bad day. I will not be giving my custom to this establishment in the future. I feel like she has let Costa and the rest of her colleagues down with this attitude.

Costa on the upper floor ( casualty dept) Staff are so slow , 4 behind the counter all laughing and joking but it takes 5 mins to get a cup of coffee

Quick service and friendly staff , plenty nice seating

6 degrees outside and they have the aircon on as the staff get 'too hot preparing coffees'. Its actually warmer outside

Called at Costa to have a coffee whilst waiting to collect a relative. On the counter was a laminated notice that had been there a while saying that the dishwasher was broken and drinks would be served in (non environmentally friendly) paper cups. So much for yet another coffee shop having a broken dishwasher.

Considering this new branch is in a hospital setting, it really couldn't have been more comforting. Bright, shiny, new, and clean, with all the familiar Costa eateries - what's not to like?!

Such a busy little shop but the lad working solo one Sunday morning was rushed off his feet and still gave everyone a smile and amazing service.

If you like somewhere nice and quiet this is the perfect place. Situated on the ground by south entrance.

A welcome oasis in the Northampton Gen Hospital. After a swift visit (3hrs) after my granddaughter had her broken arm sorted , I needed a little caffeine and an opportunity to have a muffin, which cheered our brave granddaughter up😁.

At Northampton General Hospital, Costa is below par with no toast at 9.00 and tables not wiped down.

A pleasant end to a stressful visit to see a patient there. The staff were very friendly, happy and welcoming which helped lighten the mood of my hospital visit. Food and drinks were the same as other Costa outlets but it was definitely the staff that made the visit.

Excessive expecive. Always closing, broken cooker for weeks. Thrown out many times, when family are about to pass, a coffee can seriously help. Bad place

Great coffee and friendly staff. This branch is located at the South Entrance diagonally opposite Car Park 1. Some sweet treats are available, plus Costa Coffee is now selling M&S food. Indoor seating available. For anyone with accessibility issues, there is a wheelchair accessible entrance. Disabled toilets are found just outside Costa Coffee down the corridor. You can't beat a Costa Coffee. Another branch is available near A&E.
