Came out to try the new menu and we weren’t disappointed, the food and service was quick to our table and the taste was brilliant, would definitely recommend.

We went for Sunday lunch at the start of March as a group of 6 adults and 1 toddler. We were seated for around half an hour without any menu’s being given, which is surprising considering we were sat in front of the bar. we asked and the response was a simple ‘yeah they’ll be with you soon’. The wait for food was even longer and I wouldn’t of minded if it was of it’s usual quality but the lamb was dry and tough and seemed like it had been sitting under a hot plate for a while before being served to us. It’s a shame because I’ve been going to the white horse at Stoke Albany for over 5 years, solely for the food, but I feel the quality has gone downhill. I can put up with a slow service if the food is worth the money but nearly 2 hours for one plate of pretty average food I feel needs sharing.

Have occasionally come with the family to the White Horse for lunch when visiting my Mum. This time it was just myself and Mum for Mothers day. We both chose options from the specials menu and then had a dessert and both enjoyed our meal very much. Only thing we could criticise is the loos which could be better and less smelly.
