The best restaurants in Blackwell Bolsover East Midlands

Popped in on off chance of Sunday lunch. Normally pre booking is required but they were able to cater for us. They even asked about allergies. Real ale was excellent and they also do an extensive range of decent alcohol free drinks. Staff were all lovely. We both had large roast lamb dinner at £16 each. OMG. It filled the 14inch plate. At least 8 different veg with roast, mash, pigs in blankets and yorkies. It was piping hot and absolutely delicious. Plenty of gravy too. We were even offered sliced bread to mop up the gravy. Being a pig we went for dessert too. £4.95. Absolutely amazing. Excellent value for money. Pub and toilets spotlessly clean. Dog friendly and he got a few treats too. Will definitely be back again but may plump for a smaller portion next time!

Came here for New Year’s Eve 2024 after a horrendous NYE “Party” at The Shoulder at Hardstoft. Absolutely saved our evening & had the best night in ages! The DJ was mint and the staff were amazing.

This is the third time that I've visited in the last four weeks. I can't rate this place highly enough. The food is absolutely spot on, the service is always so good, and the place itself is just lovely. Came here for Sunday lunch after having been previously for brunch and lunch. My brother and myself both had the roasts, which came with all of the trimmings and much more (there was so much food). The hubby had ham eggs and chips. The hubby said how lovely the ham was, and one of the ladies serving said it had been cooking for 6 hours - he could believe it as it was so nice. This is absolutely my new favourite place, it's just so perfect in every way and so recommended.

What an amazing little place. The location is great, lots of parking space. The breakfast we were served was hot, beautiful, and most importantly delicious! So many options on the menu. The staff were friendly, professional and constantly on the ball. A cosy experience next to a beautiful log fire!
