The best restaurants in England

We decided to have a takeaway the first we’ve had since being in lockdown. Wanted to try something new, I browsed just eat and came across this menu. My husband loves spicy food and I love Chinese so a fusion of Sri Lankan sounded good. Without thinking I placed the order and forgot to look at any reviews so got a little worried. I then browsed google and saw only good reviews so felt better. The food arrived 15-20 mins earlier than expected. The driver was polite and followed the message I left on the ordering site which always helps and rare. The food was hot, fresh and was actually amazing! All the food had its own individual taste and was the right spice. I ordered extra hot for him and it was perfect (warning he loves the hottest chillis) Will definitely be our new curry place as lived here for 2 years now and nothing has come close to this. Highly recommend. Didn’t get to take any pictures we had eaten it before I thought about it! Sorry not sorry

Absolutely love this place. It's literally a minutes walk from me and I visit quite often. All the food is great quality and you cannot argue with their prices. The staff are always so friendly even when I put in my awkward breakfast order! The home made cakes are to die for. Can't recommend this place enough.

Was here this morning only had a porridge with Nutella but it was lovely and very filling will definitely go back for lunch as they have a lovely selection of salad and chicken all flavours

Lovely friendly staff. Even at busy times the staff remained really focused & served people with a smile. Drinks are very reasonably priced & I will become a regular.

The espresso here is great, strong with lots of flavour. Even better than this? Like others have said, the gentleman behind the counter is awesome, very friendly, helpful. Will be back!

It was a bit chilly out so went in for a hot drink, coffee and tea was really good, both had toasted teacakes too, lovely staff and a pleasant little cafe.

Stopped here for lunch after a tour of the University of Chester. Wanted to experience the city outside of campus and this stop was a treat! The delicious sandwiches were enjoyed by our entire family, but more importantly we were greeted with a smile, engaged in conversation throughout our time in the shop and genuinely thanked for stopping in. Our prospective student will definitely be finding her way back to Sarnies during her studies!!

An excellent opportunity to enjoy good wholesome great value meals or snacks. Always a pleasure to eat here with my family. Tony is a great host funny and polite. Highly recommended.*****

Ambos tuvimos pollo al curry y arroz. Lo pedí para la comida después del trabajo como demasiado cansado para cocinar y sabía mejor que el del curry que normalmente pido de las comidas para llevar. Grandes porciones, así que definitivamente vale la pena su dinero. Lo recomiendo encarecidamente

been in this cafe before food is very good and i think thres a kids play area upstairs and the music playing from an old dukebox is marveless and lots of old posters and records on the wall

What a lovely jem of a Indian restaurant the food they offer is slightly different from the run of mill of Indian restaurants in this area ..starters was the meat platter very tasty followed by venison curry which was delicious and a chicken biryani which was served in a unusual way delicious ...Maybe they could bring in hot towels just to wipe your hands as they get a wee bit messy when eating poppadoms and nan bread ...it's a lovely tastefully furnished restaurant we will be back ...

We both visited this garden centre while visiting the area, although the building could be doing with updating I kid you not this place is well worth a browse for the keen horticulturist, you may just find plants that are seldom available in mainstream garden centres, we found the staff to be pleasant, attentive and helpful, it also has a small cafe/restaurant with ample parking.

I can't get over how nice everyone is in here 😄 it's the only cafe I'll go in as everyone is lovely and you can feel the amazing atmosphere as soon as you walk in 😊 popped in today for a coffee and a panini it was amazing as always 😄 If I could I would eat here everyday 😊 Thank you so much, see you soon 😄

Stopped and got a Blt baguette. It was very good . The cafe was clean and the staff was polite. Would like to have a breakfast in there when I’m next passing

This hotel ticked all our requirements. We were on a whistle stop tour of the East side of the island and wanted a place to have a quick stay overnight. We had a nice room and an incredibly comfortable bed. Lovely and clean as well. The breakfast was superb . We would highly recommend. The location was perfect for the town and the beach less than 5 minutes walk away ( via some steps or a lift)
