The best restaurants in United Kingdom

The staff are amazing, so friendly and accommodating. We went with my elderly, disabled parents, and they couldn’t do enough for us. The home-made cakes are to die for and the view. I could’ve sat there for ever.

Stopped off in Burntisland for some lunch on our way home from a lovely three days in Peebles. We found this lovely bakery, bought a seeded sour dough which was excellent. Throughly recommend a visit

This was an amazing little place to eat pizzas. The prices are really reasonable. The pizzas are so tasty and there is a great choice for meat eaters, vegetarians, vegans and I think they did gluten free bases as well. The side dishes were delicious too. They serve the meals in boxes so you can take home what you can’t eat, we took home some pizza and chips as we over ordered and I have just had a piece of pizza for lunch (done in the air fryer) and it is still delicious. It’s a small place so it is advisable to book. The man that served us was really friendly and helpful and it really made the start of our night a great one.

Amazing food !!! went in with family they were really friendly and looked after us. Everything was really fresh the fatoush and shwarma was so tasty just how ive had it in the middle east and the arabic coffee topped it all off nicely! Highly recommended.

Went to buy 2 slices of sicilion lemon cake. While the young lady was packing them up. I noticed she bent down and then I saw her struggle with the topping. I realised then that the topping on one slice must have fallen on the floor. She had picked it up, put it back on the cake and was scraping the top. I said, did that just drop on the floor she said "yes and it can't be be saved, I was just about to say". However, she wasn't about to say when she dropped it and put it back on the cake, she was "just about to say" after she picked it up off the floor and was scrapping the top; and I asked if it fell on the floor. I think it was the fact she even attempted to put it back on the cake and was scrapping it!! It's only a 5 seconds rule in your own home , not in a commercial premise! I was so tempted to just walk out at that point but I didn't. We bought the other slice and a rocky road. She said oh I will take off 50p for the last slice. However in total the 2 cakes cost £7. I was sure the lemon cake was £3.00 in the first place and the other was £3.75 so I'm not sure how she got £7.00. I wish I had realised at the time as I would have questioned it. I won't be going back in in hurry!!

Really nice place to have drinks after work. I wanted to exemplary the bartender Euan. His exemplary customer service is why I will come back here. Please congratulate him and give him a raise!

Lovely weekend activity. With homely decor and incredible host(s) - thank you Caroline. Extremely well behaved and adorable dogs, complete with delicious baked goods and beverages.

Best coffee, scrambled eggs on toast & sausages for miles. Warm, friendly welcome, plenty of room in car park and (when sun's out)☀️☀️ seated at rustic sun-terrace tables. Well worth a 5 stars mensch 😎

The breakfast Is fab..thick toast with bacon is yummy..animals to look at whilst ur eating..love that!!we do return here quite abit,can get full at time ,specially lunch time

just had the BEST southern fried chicken burger I have ever had, so I thought it deserved a review. Found The Food Hut Takeaway on Google whilst we’re staying in Sway for the weekend and quite honestly i’d go out of my way to go here again just for the food! Delivery was super quick too and food was piping hot 👌🏻

Fabulous homemade selection of yummy cakes, great coffee and delicious milkshakes! We walked from the ferry and it was well worth it. An easy 15 min stroll. Best cakes we’ve had this holiday s as d amazing value! Really enjoyed the Turkish savoury snacks too.

This place is unbelievable! We have literally just been here and it was so good I'm writing this review immediately. The food quality is exceptional and love it is local. I had the full English and every single item was superb. The winner was the perfectly cooked and bright orange poached egg combined with the thick bacon! Unbelievably good. The kids had the brioche roll with sausage patty which was amazing and my wife had the back in brioche roll which she said was toasted perfectly . Oh yeah...the oat milk latte is the best I have ever had! When we are back in the area we will one million percent go back there! Cannot recommend this enough! 👌

I celebrated my 40th Birthday with 10 friends at The Loft, and i couldn't of wished for a more perfect afternoon. The food was exquisite and beautifully presented. I didn't want to hold my party in a busy hotel or restaurant, so the private dining was perfect. Izzy and Tim made sure everything ran smoothly, from a very warm welcome to making everyone comfortable and relaxed. The secret garden theme was magical. Can't wait to book another afternoon with them.
