Zukis Cafe in Exeter

Have been to Zuki’s many times and am always impressed by the lovely staff, delicious food and drinks. There’s always a nice atmosphere and I would definitely recommend visiting (especially for the curly fries). 🍟❤️‍🔥

Warm, polite and friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere and wonderful food. All dishes presented beautifully and delicious. Authentic Turkish food cooked to very high standard by Mama Ozzy! Would highly recommend.

Service was prompt and friendly, tables punctiliously cleaned. Decaff tea was a good one, and an extra pot of boiling water extended our two cuppas well. Paninis were well filled and proper-job hot and tasty. Music: it was playing very very low as background ambience and not at all intrusive. PERFECT for those who use hearing aids. Well done Zuccis!

Exquisite. Cooked to perfection. Turkish cuisine as it was meant to be. You will not regret visiting this gem of a restaurant!

Lovely, friendly staff and nice food when it eventually came but absolutely chaotic as regards service. Sat for at least 15-20 minutes before someone came to take the order. Someone else then arrived to take the order but we told them we had already done that but needed drinks. She told us she would get someone to come but then came back and decided to have a go at taking the drinks orders herself. Gave her the order and about 10 minutes later the barman arrived to take the order. Told him we had already ordered and a while later we got the drinks. About 15 mins after that someone came to tell us they had run out of chicken so one of us had to order something else. Waited ages for our meal. When it came it was very tasty, but after all the coming and going, I think they had a nerve to add on an additional 10% service charge! If it had been voluntary I would have asked them to take it off but I also wasn't convinced they would understand what I was trying to say so I paid up. As I say, the staff were very smiley and friendly even though they didn't speak much English but I don't think I would recommend it as they didn't seem to have any kind of idea who was responsible for doing what and we waited an unacceptably long time for the food.

Best coffee in Exeter, dark, smooth and strong. With a friendly atmosphere and prompt service your morning will start well.

Such a great spot to stop for a coffee or some lunch! Zukis provide a wide range of good value, freshly made food. Their green smoothie is one of the best I have ever had! Would highly recommend!!

After hearing good reviews about the Turkish Breakfast, we visited on 4th August 2022. There were three in our group, and we ordered the Turkish Breakfast for four, which cost £40. The food was lovely, and well presented. There wasn't much left at the end of the sitting and didn't need anything to eat for the rest of the day. We had two baskets of turkish bread. Lovely on it's own or with butter. There was a savoury platter with: fried halloumi, feta cheese, black olives, turkish sausage, fried eggs, and a filo pastry stuffed with feta. There was also a bowl of scrambled eggs and tomatoes. Plus garnishes of salad. There was a sweet platter with yoghurt, honey, marmalade and fresh fruit (strawberries, grapes and blueberries). We had one small cup of turkish tea each, and when we asked for extra we were told it could take a while to brew. (upto 15 minutes). We didn't wait for the second cup in the end. I think we were too full to drink it anyway.

Had an hour to pass before my train so decided to pop in for a coffee and pastry. The staff are very polite and friendly and the decor of the cafeteria is very relaxing and inviting. Ordered a vanilla cafe latte and hazelnut lobster tail pastry, both of which were delicious. Will definitely be making sure to stop by more regularly during my trips to Exeter.

I went to the restaurant to have breakfast with my husband and there was misunderstanding about the order, then the manager came to me and said bad things to me and treated me badly, rubbish restaurant Never recommend

constantly being spoken to in a rude manner, spend lots of money here and service just seems to get worse - clearly dislike the younger generation.

This is a Turkish and Italian cafe...my two favourite cuisines. I ordered the egg and sucuk pide which was delicious and large enough for two; they kindly gave me a to-go box so I could enjoy the rest later. I will definitely be back to try the other Turkish offerings.

I went here for my Wednesday breakfast last week. The workers are so rude. They have no tone in their voices and seem so unenthusiastic. They put the drinks at the end of our table and walked away and non of it was correct. We told them this issue and they didn’t apologise they just took it away and asked what we want now. So rude and unimpressed. Don’t recommend.

As very few cafes were open during lockdown and with just 15 minutes to spare before podiatrist appointment we grabbed a decaf flat white, so good, the following week on 1st day of lockdown we ordered two flat whites to sit in and a small Italian pastry. Would love to try there meals so deffo going back next week. Nice atmosphere and excellent flat whites. Next to railway station so easy to find.

Encontré este café por primera vez en agosto y nos detuvimos para tomar café y pasteles, ¡delicioso, también tenían un Carnolli de avellana sin gluten! ! Así que estaba feliz de regresar, esta vez para el desayuno mi esposo tomó el desayuno inglés completo y yo probé el desayuno vegano, no hace falta decir que fue seguido por un delicioso pastelito. Todo estaba preparado a pedido tan caliente y fresco, bien presentado y servido por un personal agradable

Entré una vez con amigos y he vuelto varias veces. Ahora es firmemente nuestro café favorito en Exeter, un cambio refrescante de las cadenas insípidas y caras. Es un lugar bellamente diseñado, luminoso y aireado con flores y luces de colores en el techo; tiene un carácter real. La comida es una mezcla de italiano y turco, así como clásicos del desayuno inglés. Hemos disfrutado desayunos, pizzas turcas, cordero kofte y platos para compartir aquí, todos a un precio muy razonable y absolutamente deliciosos. El personal es amable y acogedor, y Zuki's realmente tiene una gran "sensación" que les insto a todos a disfrutar.

Came though for a Tuesday evening meal and it was absolutely outstanding. The mezze platter was outstanding and the pide was a solid choice too. I highly recommend for both food and drink though the food was even better.

Best English breakfast I’ve had in a while! Not greasy, generous and really tasty. Might have to come back for lunch based on that, menu looks awesome.

Friendly staff, even when they’re very busy. Good range of food which was lovely on both occasions I’ve been here. Can be busy when the college students have their lunch break. Definitely worth a visit.

Nos quedamos cerca y paramos para tomar un café, que era genial. Terminé desayunando allí esa mañana y al día siguiente. ¡El ambiente y el personal son encantadores y los desayunos veganos y turcos tan sabrosos y generosos! . En nuestro último día también nos abastecimos con pastel vegano y una deliciosa pastelería. Sin duda volveremos en la próxima visita. pags

El letrero de afuera nos dice que es una cafeteria italiana y turca y es exactamente lo que dice en la lata. La mezcla de ambos nos pareció interesante, ya que es algo que nunca habíamos encontrado juntos y fue una sorpresa para nosotros ver qué tan maravilloso era un pequeño café. Maravillosa selección de pasteles italianos y platos turcos en el menú. Pedimos un meze turco para 1 persona y un antipasto para 1 persona junto con algunos cafés. La relación calidad-precio era perfecta, el café era fuerte y exactamente como debería ser un blanco plano. Descubrimos que alrededor de la hora del almuerzo los estudiantes ocupaban mucho espacio en los asientos exteriores de los que algunos clientes se quejaban, pero ¿qué más esperarían con Exeter College al otro lado de la calle? Las chicas nos enseñaron algo de turco e italiano, lo que hizo que la experiencia fuera mucho más única. En general, disfrutamos de nuestra experiencia y definitivamente volveremos.

Lovely Italian/Turkish cafe with a great selection of dishes and fab coffee. We had the Turkish meze which was absolutely delicious. It was a really tough decision given the choice on offer so we’ll definitely be back to try out some more. Lovely service too.

After returning back from a wedding we were lucky to find this amazing place ,all our family enjoyed lovely breakfasts and drinks ,good quality and reasonable prices and most of all friendly staff !!

Popped in for a coffee and ended up eating lunch. Amazing food and coffee! And service was awesome. And the cannolis ! The girls were so lovley and made it a pleasure to be there. We will defiantly be back!!

This was the first time that I had been back since the refurbishment. The decor is lovely and I love all the flowers and leaves on the ceiling. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Me and my husband had a coffee each was delicious and also a bacon bap each very tasty indeed. We will be back to try their lunches.

After seeing Zukis has had a refurb, I finally managed to grab an hour on my lunch break to see the new menu and decor... it is GORGEOUS!

We stopped in Zukis after meeting a family member off the train, and very glad we did. The cafe is very clean and really good value for money. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and the menu has plenty of variation without being too large. I'm a bit reticent to leave this review as it may mean that more people visit and I can't get a table! Just fantastic all round.

Whether you are waiting for a train at Central Station or staying in a local hotel or just in need of a decent meal before starting a day’s work, this is a good value airy friendly place and it opens at 8 so you won’t be late or rushed..

Popped in while waiting for my train! Lovely breakfast cooked to order ! Recommend that if you need to feed before going on a GWR train you eat here and get a takeaway coffee to take onboard with you! It’s ace!

Good location, tasty snacks, good variety of meals, great coffee and friendly staff... all of this at a good value. And most important for me, friendly with smokers wich, to be honest, is getting to be a rarity this days.

Arrived with the whole family and tried many dishes on the menu. Something for every taste. The falafels were wonderful as was the turkish breakfast. Full english and veggie options were well worth trying. A small seating area but friendly amd allowed us to move tables to accommodate our whole group. The only disappointment was the slightly shabby but clean toilet.

Cheap tasty snacks! Free wifi, good staff. Convenient location close to the station. Tables outside for fine weather.

We, that is a group of 4 of us were staying at a hotel locally and looking for a good breakfast before attending a beer festival. We came across this place and were glad we did. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Our group consisted of meat eaters and veggies and the menu was more than adequate for our needs. Three of us had the vegetarian breakfast and our last member had a full English. The quantity of food was just right and very well prepared. The food is a mixture of European styles with heavy influences from Italy and Turkey. The coffee was excellent especially as two of us have decaffeinated. It was so good we went back for breakfast the next day before we left for hope. I love Cannoli and as they had some in the display cabinet I bought two which I ate during the beer festival and these were also very good. Tables and chairs were clean and toilet is easily accessible.
