Το χειρότερο εστιατόριο του κόσμου ανακοίνωσε το δικαστήριο στο Λονδίνο μέσα στην βρωμιά στα ποντίκι και κατσαρίδες, χαλάει το ελληνικό όνομα. Είστε μεγάλος αλήτης κύριε!!!! ιδιοκτήτα, εάν ησαστε κύριος!!!!!

Nuestra primera noche, fuimos a cenar, ya que estaba cerca de nuestro hotel, muy gentil su propietario, incluso hablando en español. Comimos ensalada griega y cordero con verduras, todo exquisito y a buen precio.

A comida não é grande coisa mas comeu-se. Marcar é a melhor atitude. Pouco asseado. Não me convenceu

El restaurante se ve un poco viejo pero la comida es fabulosa! El dueno es muy atento y el prepara muchos de los platos que sirven en el restaurante.

Este lugar me dejó con una sensación pegajosa cuando uno va por dentro y en la puerta lateral (elegí para sentarse afuera), uno con capacidad basura gustó fmgreeyed una cosas que es claramente esperando para ir hasta la punta (por qué? ? Antiguo y probado Dolmades) estaban descuidadamente tirado a un plato sucio con semi lechuga que ha visto días mejores. Mi principal de tiernos lubina no fue mucho más allá de reconocimiento como ennegrecido tiernos - no puedo recordar la última vez que había pescado. Evitaría a toda costa!

Fick vänta 1 timme på att få in mat som inte smakade någonting, torrt och segt kött. Kocken som verkade äga stället, gjorde allting själv utom serverade. När man tittade in i köket såg man brända kastruller och mat överallt. UNDVIK TILL VARJE PRIS!!!

Kahvaltıdaki portokal suyu berbat kahvaltıda kötüydü... ama bir gerçek var fiyatda 5 paund kişi başı ile o bölge için ucuzdu.

Efter 2 timmars väntan på vår mat kom den in utan ursäkt. När vi bad om någon form av kompensation fick vi ett sarkastiskt svar att vi hade kunnat lämnat restaurangen om vi hade velat. Toaletten var skitig och synnerligen ofräsch. Oljudet av en skapande radio var otroligt påfrestande. Svinkall och dragig lokal. Priset var som på en mycket bra restaurang. Undvik denna restaurang!!! '

My daughter and I made this place a regular stop for breakfast while we were on vacation. The restuarant is a little dated, and there appears only the owner as the jack of all trades, waiter chef etc so those comments are accurate. However, for the price the breakfast was excellant, and we found the owner to be very friendly. We went there three times and each time the owner greeted us and the food was excellant. I cannot comment on dinner but for Breakfast if you are in the area I would strongly recomment the place. The English Breakfast was 4.95 GBP vs 8-10 GBP other places. For the cost I think it is a great value if you are in the area

När vi klev in i restaurangen var den tom. Den ena av de 2 som var där tog emot oss och gav oss bord. Han var i och för sig trevlig och kunde lite svenska. Lokalen är inte inbjudande, ljusen på borden var inte tända. Vi bad om att få vårt tänt men det ledde inte till att han tände ljuset på något annat bord. Man brukar säga att folk drar folk och så blev det. Det kom fler gäster än han kunde hantera på en rimlig tid. Han gjorde det dock med ett leende på läpparna mellan han tjafsade med personen i köket. Den brusande radion stängdes av och kocken fixade igång en mobil med musik i stället. Hygienmässigt var detta ett skolexempel på hur det inte ska gå till i en restaurang. Det som gör att jag sätter 2 är att maten var ganska okej men inte mer. I källaren var toaletten som inte var i bästa skick heller. Vill man äta grekisk mat är den andra restaurangen på samma gata ett bättre val. Där måste man dock boka bord i tid.Vill man ha en Fawlty Towers upplevelse kan man gå på Zorba's

Non essendo mai stata in Grecia non so se i piatti di questo ristorante abbiano il sapore tipico della Grecia, ma il cibo non mi è sembrato gran che. Il locale all'interno è piuttosto brutto e il proprietario fa tutto da solo sia in cucina che ai tavoli, questo pone qualche dubbio sulla freschezza del cibo. Il conto è stato molto salato essendo tutti i contorni e pitta extra. L'attesa è stata lunga, meglio evitare.

virtually empty restaurant with no staff to greet and seat us. After hovering uncertainly for a time, we were reluctantly 'greeted & seated' by the chef wearing a filthy apron. There was no 'atmosphere' only a feeling of almost hostility - as in 'how dare we disturb the chef's evening'!

När vi kom in var det bara ett sällskap som nästan var klara med sin mat. Vi beställde vår mat och sedan kom det fyra nya sällskap på kort tid. Då det bara var en person som serverade och lagade all mat tog det tid då han började med att ta upp de andras beställningar. Vi väntade länge på maten, ett sällskap gick precis när deras mat skulle komma ut. De hade tröttnat på att vänta. Maten var inte speciellt god, tzatziki var bland det vidrigaste jag ätit, smakade mest vinäger. Kalamares vi beställde var smaklösa, lammkotletterna sega och grillspetten var ok. Den grekiska salladen var inget vidare och bestod till stor del av isbergssallad.När vi skulle betala fick vi en chock när notan slutade på 79 £ och det var verkligen inte värt. Vi drack mineralvatten och en läsk till maten. I bakgrunden spelade en radio grekisk musik, men det var fel på radion, så den brusade mest. Toaletterna i källaren. Ar smutsiga och det saknades papper.

We ate at Zorbas for dinner one night, not knowing the reviews, wanting something close to our hotel and despite the fact that no one was in the restaurant even at 7:30 pm. We were greeted by the owner, who was the cook and waiter for the evening. We ordered chicken and lamb kabobs which were good and were served with a small salad and rice. We enjoyed the house wine and homemade Baklava. One family came in while were there, stayed and ate. Our service was slow, but we were not in a hurry, seeing that the owner was managing everything on his own, we decided to be patient.

Este restaurante nos quedaba muy cerca de nuestro hotel. Muy rica la comida y el postre griego que comimos. El mozo que no sé si no era el dueño nos atendio muy amablemente.

Scelto perché di fronte all'hotel e perché l'unico altro ristorante (greco anch'esso) era pieno, siamo entrati nonostante fosse praticamente Vuoto. Proprietario cordiale, attesa nella norma, cibo discreto (niente di più), conto in linea con lo standard londinese. All'uscita si era anche riempito.

Estábamos hospedados en un hotel al lado de este restaurante, nos asomamos el primer día al llegar. Nos pareció sucio y viejo, siempre vacío. El 1 día que llegamos había un calamar en un plato, en una vitrina que da a la calle; a los 4 días seguía el mismo calamar con una baba asquerosa por debajo. Los pescados, con los ojos hundidos, nada parecía fresco. Nos encontramos con un grupo de españoles un día que venían a ver lo mismo que nosotros, el calamar de días y días, asombrados. Un día mandan a alguien al hospital. No comería en este sitio jamás. Cerca hay otro griego siempre hasta arriba de gente.

Éramos 6 adultos y 3 niños. Fuimos los primeros en llegar al restaurante para la cena a eso de las 1930. Estaba vacío. A 30 metros había otro griego lleno. El nuestro se fue llenando, y después de 2 horas solo nos habían puesto los aperitivos. El jefe gritaba a otro en la cocina y salía mucho humo. Al final nos decidimos ir porque la comida no venía. Los aperitivos y bebidas los salieron por 180 euros. Fuimos al griego de al lado que estaba lleno y en 45 minutos ya habíamos cenado bien y estamos fuera.Después de hora y media leímos los comentarios de trip advisor, los cuales suscribimos en su mayoría. Un auténtico desastre y lo que nos dio tiempo a probar malo de solemnidad. Huye si estás a tiempo.

The worse dining experience of my life . Terrible food , terrible service and the Chef was shouting at his staff during the whole evening . They overcharged us and tried to argue with my Partner when we told someone else not to bother coming in . Needs a hygiene inspection . Soup was from a powder mix 0/10 . Rather eat dog poo

Arrived mid afternoon to try to feed a hungry wife, so no research. Saw TA reviews after sitting down but decided to give a try. Got a variety of starters and they were ok. Service was lax at best, the cleanliness factor was challenging in some aspects and a squirrel ran in thru the open door and seemed quite at home. Our food was serviceable. The other patrons got lamb kebabs that at least smelled good. I suspect better options are not too far away. Being on its own this place may survive by being the only game on the block. Desperate? Give it a shot. Have time to seek alternatives? You may want to.

I can't believe I have eaten there ....... The waiter was friendly , and we decide to go in .... however once we ordered , ( only 2-3 tables with customers ) , I saw horrible things . More , discuting things .1- the waiter was wearing a white jacket which was so dirty , in the front and the back ,2- his nails were dirty and he was pouring the oil on the Tzatziki placing his finger over the bottle3- he droped a fork on the floor and return it with the others without cleaning it 4- he was taking the appetizers ( olives and peppers with his hands , using his clothes to clean them 5-the place was so dirty , look at the coffee pot and the cash register .....etc etc etc ....i just hope I will not be sick .....horrible place and a dangerous place to eat ....The bills is extremly high and he added 12% for service ... what is disgracefulAvoid this place .....

Awful food. Rubbish service...the olives came after the main course, a starter arrived as we were eating the main course. The water didn't turn up until we'd got tired of life. Starve rather than go there!

Just a short walk from the Caesar Hotel this quaint restaurant serves authentic greek food. The lamb gyro was very tasty as was the spanakopita and the baklava. The owner takes pride in his restaurant which shows in the quality of the food he prepares.

This place should be closed down any day by the sanitation department of London. When I moved into this neighbourhood I passed by asking whether this was the location of Halepi (whuch is actually a neighbouring restaurant and one of the best Greek places in london). They said YES we are Halepi! In short food was disgusting and they should be boycotted by all tourists!Sincerely Matthias Brandl

Our party of 4 decided to try this Greek restaurant as it was a 5-min walk from our hotel on a rainy evening. We were seated next to a group of Australian tourists. After we ordered, we soon realized that the Australian diners had been waiting ages for their food. One Australian lady went to the kitchen to ask about the delay and the reply she got from the owner was "there are other people who came first" ! We struck up a conversation with them and when their food finally arrived, they said it was "rubbish". We were concerned as our food was also taking a long time. Two members of my group ordered the "mixed grill" - which included meatballs, lamb cutlet etc. The meat was tough and meatballs were burnt and not-edible. We complained to the owner and told him that if we ate his carcinogenic food, we could get cancer. He shrugged and didn't seem to be bothered. We paid and left without finishing the meal. Don't come to this place - terrible.

Don't know what this place did to deserve so many bad reviews. It is a Greek restaurant from the 1970's had a breakfast here, not the best I have had but did the job. The owner/operator and I suspect the only member of staff was friendly enough.Anyway breakfast it was open and they sell breakfast.

Denna restaurang passerade vi varje dag från bussen och varje dag var det mycket folk. Mycket god mat i en trång miljö. Borden står väldigt tätt. Minus dock när notan kom. Då hade man räknat fel på 15 pund för mycket. Dessutom hade man lagt på 12 % i dricks. Detta stod dock mycket finstilt på menyn. Kyparen rättade till notan och beklagade, men detta drar ju ned betyget så klart.

We visited Zorbas after a Hyde Park concert on Sunday at 10.30 pm.I have read other reviews of this restaurant and was wary of going. We were indeed served by one man the entire time, but he was friendly and generally got on with the task in hand. We had pork kebab with chips and a Greek salad, all of which were tasty and served quite quickly.I think the building is not the most welcoming but, all in all we had a reasonable meal.

Went there as a suggestion from my hotel reception desk. There was only one guy for everything, cook, waiter... As expected, it took very long to have dinner. Despite this, we had quite a good dinner.

This was hands down the single worst restaurant experience I have ever had. We ordered at around 10pm. The food took 2 hours to arrive, by which time we were tired and starving, and it was disappointingly mediocre. The chef and his waitresses were bickering loudly the whole time. The waitress brought us some pitta bread and bad-tasting olives during the wait, but then charged us for it. A "compulsory" service charge was added on top of this to the bill. I would not wish this experience upon anyone and I hope I never again encounter a restaurant as offensive and poorly managed.

Feel so bad for the owner, he is a host, a cheif, a waiter in one. Every day we would pass by this place on the way to hotel and it never was even half filled. We gave it a try at breakfast. Poor guy simply cant do everything with two arms at ones; clean tables, cook, wait, run to the basement for ingredient. So long story shot, our English breakfast was over fried, jar of jam had mold inside, we set entire time surrounded by dirty dishes on the table. This place needs a major help. Could have a great potential, because Greek restaurant 'Halepi' half a block down is amazing!

Vi har gått förbi denna "restaurang" många gånger, men tyvärr så valde vi att testa den nu. Bad mistake! Maten var usel och dyr, precis som servicen. Vi blev tyvärr lurade att gå in på grund av den svenska flaggan och att det stod Kalle på Spången utanför. Jag är fortfarande irriterad...

Este restaurante es de risa. Todos los comentarios que he leído (tarde) son verdad! Gritos desde la cocina, platos que has pedido y nunca llegan, cuando llegan no son lo que has pedido. Marina, la camarera, contando la cuenta delante de los clientes, escaqueándose cada vez que hay un problema, la llamas y te atiende media hora después, te pone siempre mala cara y se olvida de todo.No cambian manteles entre un cliente y otro, hace más frío dentro que fuera, y tienen una furgoneta aparcada fuera del restaurante que funciona de almacén: he visto al cocinero salir a buscar el pan allí dentro. Menos mal que pedimos vino y nos echamos unas risas pero no entiendo de verdad como sigue abierto! Lleva los mismos comentarios negativos desde hace años y sigue en pie! Increíble! Por último carísimo!!

Estuvimos ayer cenando, tardaron hora y media en servirnos, no éramos los únicos. Gritos del cocinero a las camareras y muy mal trato.Para rematar, en la cuenta había cosas disparatadas y nos cobraron por cosas que no pedimos (ej: 4.55 libras una botella de agua de plástico de 1.5L)No recomendable en absoluto.

Der Chef hat uns zwar freundlich empfangen aber das bestellte Bier liess ewig auf sich warten. Das Essen war ungeniessbar und die Holzstäbchen vom Souvlaki waren unter dem Fleisch dunkel vom Grill also sicher mehrmals benutzt. Fleisch trocken und zäh. Die Beilagen wie Pommes oder Kartoffeln wurden extra verrechnet. Der Oberhammer war dass wir 12% Trinkgeld bezahlen mussten das der Chef gleich mit auf die Rechnung gesetzt hat. Wahrscheinlich überlebt dieses Restaurant nur weil jeden Tag neue Touristen in London ankommen und dort abgezockt werden.

The food was good when we got it, but I don't get what was going on with the service.Tables seated after us got their food first, and it we were seated for 90 mins for one course! Saturday night and it seemed to be only one person on the floor and one chef!

Wie dieser Betrieb überleben kann ist mir unerklärlich. Der (vermeintliche) Inhaber war sehr geschickt in der Anbahnung und Akquisition. Dieser hat uns draussen beim Vorbeigehen freundlich und herzlich angesprochen und es sprach nichts dagegen eine Kleinigkeit zu essen und ein Bierchen zu trinken. Als der Inhaber dann bemerkte es wird kein grosser Umsatz kippte die Freundlichkeit in leicht Aggression. In Summe hatten wir dann 4 kleine Bier aus der Flasche und einen kleinen griechischen Teller. Die Speisen (ich weiss nicht wie oft in England Hygiene und Speisen Kontrollen durchgeführt werden) war nicht nur optisch sondern auch geschmacklich ein Angriff auf unsere Gesundheit und Wohlbehagen. Endlose Diskussionen mit dem Chef nach Erhalt der Rechnung (dieser dürfte den fehlenden Umsatz des Tages und ganzen Restaurants in unsere Rechnung gepackt haben), wir haben dann bezahlt und sind gegangen. Vielleicht sieht man sich ein zweites Mal im Leben wir sind oft in London möglicherweise besuchen wir das Restaurant nochmals, aber dann mit Presse und Fotoapparat oder einem kleinem Fernsehteam. Mal sehen wie dann reagiert wird.

Binnengeloodst door de " chef " . Lang op drank moeten wachten. Eten was weinig en zeer slecht . Brood wat ongevraagd op tafel was gezet stond op de rekening alsmede special tax . De chef vond het ook nog nodig om zijn zwangere serveerster publiekelijk te vernederen . Schandalig !!!

Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Überdurchschnittlich gute und frische Küche. Wir waren sehr positiv überrascht. Wirklich zu empfehlen.

We were invited by the chef. The biggest mistake we made. The service was bad. The chef called the pregnant waitress names. The food was terrible en the bill was extreemly high. He charged us pitabread we dit not order and he charged us 7 pound for the service. He also charged us big salads, but served us medium ones. This man and is his "restaurant"is a discrase for every Greek. When I read the positive reviews I get the idea that the writers are family or the chef himself.Don not visit this restaurant !!!!!!

Fomos para o almoço. Naquele dia o senhor que nos atendeu foi o mesmo que preparou a comida. Muito ruim. Vi ele trazendo a comida numa vasilha da parte debaixo do restaurante. Congelada acho. Pedimos um vinho sem pedir o preço e no final nos cobrou 25 libras por uma porcaria. Desonesto ! Nunca mais!!!

We got badly treated, they put over priced bread and olives on the table which we did not order. The food was terrible, it felt like it was heated in the microwave after being conserved in a can for at least seven years. The food made 3/5 people sick. REALLY NOT RECOMMENDED!

좋아하는 영화에서 촬영지로 나온 식당이라 일부러 찾아갔어요가는길에 깨끗하고 고급스러운 빌라가 많아서 기대감이 더욱 컸는데 빛바랜 레이스 하며 낡은 인테리어에 살짝 실망했고 좋지 않은 위생상태에 약간 실망했습니다 케밥이 유명하지만 먹고싶은 마음이 없어져케잌과 커피만 먹고 잠깐 들렀다 나왔네요 맛은 깔끔하고 담백했습니다 영화의 분위기를 느끼기에는 추천하지만 찾아갈만한 맛집은 아닌듯 하네요

A couple colleagues and I walked into this place around 7pm on a Saturday. They were decently busy but they're were open tables and we sat down immediately. We ordered a salad and a yogurt dip as apps which came quickly and we're good. However, it goes down quickly from there. We waited 45 minutes for our food to come until we said something to the server and he said our food would be out shortly. During this time I asked for a second beer three times and didn't get it. 20 minutes later we stood up to leave and the server said it would be right out. Other people in the restaurant, seeing us have the confidence to almost leave, began complaining as almost everyone in there had waited almost as long as us. Some people even longer! There was a line of 6 people at the register waiting to pay for their meals and leave but we're waiting for at least half an hour to do so. Just to pay their tab! Our food came a minute before our established time of getting up to leave again. The portions were small and burnt. As we were finishing the horrible meal, other people were finding out that their food hadn't been started yet after an hour wait and got up to leave. The server offered us an extra baked potato for the lack of service which we kindly declined. We threw some money on the table and walked out the door as we weren't about to wait any longer in that awful place. Looks kind of cute from the outside but any money spent at this place is a waste. I'm not sure how they're still open. This place is so bad it's almost laughable.

Déjà l'odeur dans la salle de restauration ... ne descendez pas aux toilettes ... La carte ... bizarre ... un Meze obligatoirement pour deux mais il faut multiplier le prix par deux ... soit 50 £. Bref, nous prendrons plutôt une petite salade grecque à 3.75 £ et un kebab ) 9£ pour aller très très vite, un verre de vin rouge (imbuvable) et un perrier ... Dommage, immangeable le Kebab, qui se résume en fait à trois brochettes de porc avec des frites toutes noires (en supplément).Quittons vite cet établissement ... mais surprise en voyant l'addition ... 38 £, j'ai beau refaire le calcul, il y a un problème ... le patron arrive alors en justifie sa note en ajoutant des taxes de séjours, des taxes pour les couverts, du pain non demandé, des olives non demandées etc. Un vrai scandale, c'est carrément du vol ... nous aurions vraiment dû partir sans payer, nous n'avons pas pu manger ça de toute façon.

Cheesy decoration with a friendly chef but the food is poor with tiny portions. Some of the slowest service I have ever seen and the restaurant was empty when I visited. Expected authentic greek food and discovered a tv dinner level meal. All in all a very expensive experience and would never return

We made a grave mistake by walking past the full Greek restaurant and calling into the one that was empty..... BAD MISTAKE dirty.. poor food ...small portions poor hygiene.. over charged for items I would not feed my dog and not asked for... bad.. bad ..the clothing the chief and young waiter was wearing looked like they had just done an oil change on a builders pickup the fire exits are blocked avoid this dirty rancid overpriced cesspit hss should be contacted and trading standards

I came here after trying and failing to get a table at the famous Halepi restaurant on the same street. It was completely empty and the decor took me back 30 years (and not in a good way!)My father was extremely apprehensive at the lack of customers. While I like to give empty restaurants a chance, I must admit that even I wasn't expecting anything good to come out of the kitchen, especially when we discovered that many items on the menu were unavailable that day.I could not have been more wrong! Everything that was served was an excellent example of Greek home-cooked food. Not a single disappointing fish. Even the complimentary cracked olives to start were superb. These were followed by a Greek salad with finely chopped lettuce (the way it should be done), prawns from the charcoal grill, an excellent kleftiko with a deliciously sticky gravy, and lamb chops trimmed and grilled to perfection. Perhaps the stars of the show were the roast Cyprus potatoes, done exactly as my grandparents used to make them. The food was accompanied by an excellent light red wine.I don't know why Zorba's is empty, but it shouldn't be. I shall definitely dine here again.

We chose this restaurant because another Greek restaurant on the same street was full. Our first clue should have been that there was nobody else in the place and it was already about 19:00 on a Saturday night!The chef (owner?) was the only staff on site and it took him a while to greet us, take a drinks order and bring them. We chatted a bit with him about a small Greek town near us in Florida so I thought maybe we were okay. He then went to the kitchen which we could see from our table. I was a little heartened that he seemed to be preparing fresh food for our meal.A young woman employee showed up and I hoped we would finally get our appetizers. But, no. Even that took 15-20 minutes. She brought my husband's first and mine five minutes later. Then we waited for the main course...same thing, first mine, then his. Food was just okay (stale pita, cheese-less spanakopita,); have had better in Tarpon Springs, Florida! BUT, service was the worst I've ever experienced anywhere in my lifetime! No one ever came back to see if we needed anything. Asked for our check then waited, and waited. Watched the waitress talk to the chef about our check, go back to the counter, get a menu to look up prices, go wait on someone else, forget our check, repeat the process. It took about 15 minutes and several chef-waitress conferences to get our check (see picture).As other diners arrived, they had similar service. One couple repeatedly asked to speak with the chef before ordering as they had questions about the menu. He refused repeatedly before going to their table. After a few seconds conversation, he threw up his hands and walked away from them. The woman went to a nearby store to get some drinks (neither the chef or waitress noticed). Another guest waited 17 minutes (I started timing them) for a glass of orange juice! And a third gentleman never did get any food while we were there. There were no more than six diners (including us) in the restaurant at anytime. We don't usually check Trip Advisor for restaurant reviews while traveling and just take a chance on local places. They range from fair to excellent. This is the only BAD experience we've ever had.

I had heard a lot about Greek food so, decided to treat myself to one. Since Zorba's was close to Leisure Inn and it was a cold blustery day, we entered Zorba's. The host was charming and the setting was pleasing. I liked the look of the place. We asked the owner to recommend some dishes. He suggested that we should try the chicken and lamb kebabs grilled on a coal fire. There was a side helping of rice. The man described how it would be marinated, the spices he was going to use... We were all taken in by his talk. When the food finally arrived, it was horrible! The rice had an odour and as for the kebabs, the less said the better! Boiled mutton would have roasted better. The food was not worth the bill of 65 British Pounds. I would not recommend this place to anybody.

I had the feeling the owner of this restaurant has open this business just to con people, we were a group of 4, he came outside and charmingly invited us in, the decor inside is updated, the room was empty and cold, (no wonder why it was empty)..the menu is poor, the service appalling and the food tasted so bad that I almost throw up. This place lacks of everything, the owner/cook/waiter did not care about our requests or complains, he was so rude and kept saying that the service charge must be paid in full, never ever again!!!!!

Amazing dinner, experience and staff. Bit pricey but some of the best kebabs I've had. Huge portions too.

El restaurant siempre tenía gente, pero la falta de personal era evidente en el servicio. El dueño atento pero cuando se dirigía a su único empleado esa tarde noche mostraba su descontento con la situación y los comensales lo notamos.

Don't eat here! bad service, bad food and very expensive. We ate here because it is close the hotel we were staying at. The food was not good at all! even the hummus was bland and tasteless. The pita bread they set on the table is not free, they charge you for it. The service is slow, the owner is both the waiter and cook. We were shocked when we got the ticket, 60 pounds!! and we didn't even have wine! it was by far the most expensive meal we had during our 18 day vacation in London, Paris and Brussels.

I'll keep this brief, went there as the other Greek place on the street was full. The food was ok, notbhing special. However the most disturbing aspect was the 'manager' bulling the young waitress. we witnessed at least 3 seperate incidents ina hour long stay. We fely complelled to tip the young lady, but the 'manager' came over and said that it was he that had served us not her. Guys, just dont go.....

Horrible smell when you come in. Then you look at the kitchen and you start worrying. Food was below average and the poor deco might be the only thing Greek.

Visited as we were staying nearby and nearby Greek restaurant was full - now we know why. Shambolic service we felt sorry for the waitress who didn't seem to have the authority to do anything and was shouted at by owner/ chef. Food very average and expensive. People waiting and service totally disorganised. How does this place survive? Give it nil points.

Do not go to this restaurant. We thought it looked nice from the outside and as we were staying close by thought we would give it a go. They didn't have the wine we wanted. We ordered and waited nearly an hour. It arrived, overcooked. my friend ordered scampi which it wasn't. When we expressed our disapointment he started shiuting at us and rished to the kitchen to wave the frozen pack of scampi at ys, shouting and ranting. We left shocked.

Its really not as bad as some people are saying, at least on my visit - for the food at least.However what I objected to was, thought it s little expensive and the icing on the cake was to be charged £3.50 for an espresso at the end. I don't expect to be charged this for an espresso anywhere in London, and certainly not in a Greek Restaurant and especially when it was not hot and generally when it was quite poor.So why charge £3.50?A very bad decision.This is actually a criminal act - call it theft, call it a rip-off.if it wasn't for the coffee incident I might have actually not been recommending people to stay away.

DO NOT GO HERE! The food was awful, the service was awful, and to top it all off it was expensive. It cost more than a dinner out at home (Norway - one of the words most expensive countries). Please do not spend any money here.

Arrivés tardivement à notre hôtel, nous n'avions guère le choix et nous avons atterri dans ce restaurant grec où se trouvaient déjà... 2 convives, sur la sollicitation active du tenancier, qui fait également fonction de cuisinier. Installés en salle par un serveur à l'ancienne, nous avons commencé à détailler les lieux, tout en jetant un oeil à la carte. Les locaux sont hors d'âge, d'une vétusté qui peut faire douter de l'hygiène globale de l'établissement. Les fils électriques courent à même le plafond, la salle est encombrée d'objets divers et variés, censés contribuer au décor, mais qui ne sont que des ramasse-poussière. Bref, ça s'engageait mal.Nous avons commandé et peu après la fumée du "charcoal" a commencé à agresser nos narines et celles de nos voisins de table. C'était bon signe, notre commande était en route, mais cela révélait surtout une défaillance totale de l'aspiration des fumées en cuisine.Pas grand chose à dire sur la nourriture, des brochettes de porc tout simplement et nous n'avions pas envie de traîner, tout comme les 2 ou 3 clients qui nous avaient rejoints et qui ont expédié leur dîner vite fait-bien fait !L'addition nous ayant été présentée dans un porte cartes AMEX, j'ai présenté la mienne au serveur, lequel s'est tourné vers le patron, alors occupé en cuisine. Après quelques minutes, celui-ci m'a demandé si je n'avais pas une Visa ou une Mastercard, "because Amex, no good" !Bref, il a fini par l'accepter en maugréant pour me taxer de 55 £ pour 3 souvlakis, 1 frite, 1 légume du jour, 2 bières et un Coca. Ca fait quand même près de 80 € ! Certes on est à Londres, mais, comme l'aurait dit Bernar Blier : "Faut pas prendre le touriste français pour un pigeon"... Notre séjour à Londres commençait sous de bien mauvais auspices (et ce n'était qu'un début !).

I actually had a delicious meal, all freshly prepared. The service was leisurely however I wasn't in a rush so it didn't matter. It was quite expensive however this may be because the restaurant is off the main road. The ambience and decor were reminiscent of 'Shirley Valentine' -1970s Greece. It was an amusing evening I won't forget in a hurry.

It was actually entertaining to watch the owner run around and be the hostess, waiter, chef and server! I ordered Chicken Kebab and literally received a plate with just meat. I originally ordered potatoes with my kebab. After I ate my lonely kebab, the magician asked if I still wanted my potatoes. By the time they came out, I was no longer hungry. I literally saw him give my potatoes to another unsuspecting couple. Now I know why this restaurant is always empty. Food horrible, service horrible but watching the owner perform all jobs......very entertaining:)

Do not waste your hard earner money in this dire 'restaurant' put a few slices of grotty pitta on the table which you would think is complimentary but charges you £2 All extra veg/chips are charged and a service charge added. Tried to charge for tap water! The Scampi was so overcooked it was inedible! The place was dirty, service took one and a half hours to serve two main dishes. Awful place!

For the record this dump has a ZERO hygiene rating by the Food Standards Agency. Urgent Improvement Necessary!

Fantastic home made traditional Greek food. Great service. Excellent prices. Very busy place. Friendly staff.

Beware when fanta and coke are 3.75 and they do not list the prices for wine and beerwine was 4.75!!!!!!!!!!! and 2 onces under the line and was crap.We were charged for pita bread that we did not order.The restrooms had no soap and no towels, I wonder where the staff wash their hands???!!!No TIP FOR YOU SSSSS HOLES

Waiter and chef tried to kill each other, terrible service, wanted to include service charge, demanded removal and achieved, well done to me. WORST EVER!

Staying near by so decided to give this place a try. Initially first impressions seemed very good. Greeted heartily at the door. Once seated matters quickly went down hill. Won't go into all the details but most significantly I felt very uncomfortable hearing the chef / owner shouting at his one waiter who was obviously new to the job. Could not wait to get out of there!

I was with a colleague on a business trip and we were staying in a nearby hotel. We ended up at Zorba's by chance and it was certainly a memorable experience. On the plus side we enjoyed our food and Greek wine as the herbs were fresh and the sauce tasty. I also enjoyed the baklava. My colleague has lived in Cyprus and he said the food was pretty good. There were not enough staff - it seemed as if there was just a cook who also waited and a waitress who seemed to have no English. This meant the service was incredibly slow and we were there for about three hours but since we were not in a hurry it was OK. The main problem was that food arrived in stages such as one starter and quite a bit later another, one couple went and collected their own drinks. The room was full of life size statues of women in the classical Greek style and some of them were rather scantily dressed. My colleague was facing a statue of naked woman behind me! There were also bunches of garlic and greenery hanging from the ceiling. In some ways it was like eating in someone's dining room in a house in Greece. It was a bit over priced and we were charged for the bread which we hadn't specifically ordered but all in all it was at least an entertaining experience, the staff were friendly and the food was good. It really depends on what you are looking for and we were in a laid back mood.

Comment un établissement comme ça peut il exister ! J'ai même cru que c'était une caméra caché mais malheureusement non. Nous avons passé une semaine de rêve à Londres et pour finir un peu de frisson ! Le patron, qui est aussi en cuisine, hurle sur la serveuse totalement débordé, mauvaise qualité et en faible quantité, nous avons rigolé du début à la fin tellement c'était incroyable. Déjà, en entrant il y a une odeur que mon cerveau n'a toujours pas identifié et n'identifiera je pense jamais. Apres l'auberge rouge il y a le restaurant rouge ! ! A oui j'oubliais l'addition ! il ne sait pas cuisiné mais il sait compter, un gribouillis écris à la main entre deux plats avec des prix digne du Ritz. Enfin c'est pas grave on était en vacance et tous les jours un pigeon se lève. Ce séjour était tellement parfait que cela frisait l'indécence donc un mal pour un bien. On n'allait pas mettre 20/20 à notre séjour quand même, donc c'était indispensable....... non je rigole !Un bon bulldozer et il y aura de la place pour un joli jardin Anglais !

Fuimos a primeros de abril y necesitábamos cenar algo rápido. Decidimos ir porque lo teníamos cerca del hotel y pedimos una ensalada, dos cervezas y un plato de humus. Tardaron 45 minutos en traernos la ensalada. A los que estaban al lado les tardaron una hora en llevar la cuenta . El dueño estaba a gritos en la cocina con la camarera. El sitio es extremadamente carisimo incluso siendo Londres. El servicio es pesimo . Aquello parecía Pesadilla en la cocina. Por favor no ir.

Me gustó la comida, la atención.... pero excesivamente caro y no nos dieron un ticket de máquina registradora, sino un papel hecho a mano

Einfach nur traurig, dass in diesem tollen Quartier so ein Restaurant noch überlebt. Von aussen machte es gar nicht so einen schlechten Eindruck, aber als Gast drin zu Sein ist sehr mühsam und auch sehr teuer..für das Essen, dass geboten wurde. Der Inhaber schreit im ganzen Restaurant umher..das Essen ist unter dem Durchschnitt und die Rechnung war gesalzen. Es wurde uns nachträglich noch die MWST draufgeschlagen, obwohl wir beim Hinausgehen nocht festgestellt habe, dass es inklusiv sei. Allles in Allem ein riesengrosser Reinfall.

We ate here on a two day theatre break...it was near to our hotel...I had the mixed grill and my partner had the lamb chops...we had roast potatoes and a carafe of house wine...The "Carafe" was in fact an empty 5Kings brandy bottle which did not impress and the house rose lacked taste.all I can really say was that the meal was edible...but very expensive...one man was cooking and serving the food which he did with a smile ...Sorry but I would not eat here again

Expensive for what is is, awful service, tiny portions and updated. The restaurant looks ok and was very quite on a friday night.. we were charged for bread not order and drinks are very bland, we complain to the owner/chef/manager but he just ignored us. We had to wait an eternity for our food which at the end tasted like a ready meal from a supermarket. I regretted coming in here, had a bad stomach ache afterwards. Faulty towers restaurant

The menu was standard but everything was made from scratch and the food was good. We could see the chef preparing our Greek salad and threading our skewers of meat and vegetables. The wine list was limited. The service was very friendly.

Вкусная греческая еда. Попробовали салат с осьминогами, кебаб из ягнятины, долму. Всё очень вкусно, качественно,порции большие. Атмосфера и цены демократичные. Персонал приветливый и внимательный. Столик лучше забронировать.

Eine absolute Frechheit! Das Restaurant liegt in einem guten "Touristenviertel". Schade, dass man da so abgezockt wird. Wir wollten nicht mehr in die Stadt um etwas zu essen darum haben wir bei der "Zorbas Greek Taverna" Halt gemacht. GROSSER FEHLER! Essen schlecht, Bedienung schlecht und Achtung die PREISE: Wir bezahlten 160.- Pfund. Für Hauptspeise, Dessert und Wein.... Auf den eiegntlichen Preis von 130 Pfund wurden nochmals 30 für MwSt druafgeschlagen (eigentlich schon inklusive, steht auf der KArte). Wir haben das natürlich erst am nächsten Tag realisiert! Die Rechnung durften wir nicht mitnehmen und einem Herrn der vor uns bezahlt hat wurde sie sogar wieder aus dem Portemonnet genommen. FRECHHEIT diesesRestaurant

atmosphere, location - close to the hotel, good service, it is managed by a greek family and it was pleasant to see the photoes of them matched to the design. There was a lot of visitors in the evening - right dinner hous from 20:00 to 22:00. Just took a bit lonegr to wait for the order and then they confused the order.But it didn't dicrease the whole mood.

Menus greasy and falling apart. Not the cleanest restaurant I have eaten in. Owner very nice, service not so hot, we never got the potatoes or rice that was ordered--ala carte I might add, so it was taken off bill, but still a VERY expensive tab for what it was. We are from a city with a large Greek population, and are used to better food than this.

Vi ankom tidlig til vores hotel, så vi kunne ikke få vores værelse hvilket, at vi besluttede os at finde et sted at få noget morgenmad. Vi stødte ind på denne græske restaurant og en tjener som også viste sig at være kokken spurgte hvad vi skulle have. Vi bestilte full english breakfast, men der skulle lige gå ca. en time før vi fik lov til smage på maden. Da vi endelig blev færdig og ville betale, så skulle vi vente igen. Ja, vi ventede ca. 20-25 min før vi fik betalt og kom ud af restauranten. Det var ingen service og jeg ved ikke hvor han lært at lave mad, for den smagte ikke særlig godt. Det var absolut sidste gang vi har trådt ind i hans restaurant.

Small operation and not the best at service, but they are nice and I liked the family atmosphere. I love Greek food and everything was made to order :)

Six women on weekend away we normally go for Italian but went here as we couldn't find any Italian restaurant (found loads following day). The place is very cramped with very little space in between tables. The waiter/owner really should have changed his white top as it was very dirty but he was friendly enough. The food was tasty but very expensive, pitta bread which we thought was free cost £6. We were also slapped with a surcharge/ service charge of £17 which was way over the top. Definitely room for improvement here but not a total disaster as the food is very good.

We loved the ambiance, the friendly service and the food was scrumptious. so convenient to The Caesar Hotel.

This little very Greek restaurant is close to the Hyde Park in a small street but is worth going. The flavor of the food makes you fly to Greece.
