Zizzi's in Epsom and Ewell

Very good food, excellent service, reasonable price, Really clued up on allergens We both enjoyed our meal and recommend this restaurant, though the décor needs a little TLC in places.

Not a great welcome on entering, then realised no air con on a hot evening? Went outside instead, much nicer. Pasta carbonara was nice but a starter portion for £17.95 was way over priced. Then at the end we were over charged £30 for a bottle of wine we didn’t have. Been a few times to thus place but we’ve decided this is our last. Banstead has plenty of other lovely places to eat.

Waited for over 90 mins, only one starter came and two mains and no sign of other starters and main courses. After 30 mins, one main course came and was cold. Appears that Zizzi prioritised home delivery than customers in the restaurant. Waiters extremely slow and kitchen staff under resource. We eventually gave up and left! WHAT A SHAMBLE, NEVER AGAIN!!!!

Food is bland, not even hot. One of the waitresses that has worked there a long time is lovely, however today the service was bad, pretty much ignored the whole time, when it came to paying the bill the waitress asked if we wanted to add service charge to which we said no (we didn’t think the service that we received was worth a tip nor the food) to which the waitress said what not even 10%?! Which annoyed us even more! We will not return.

Whilst the food was probably about average, the staff were fantastic which created a great atmosphere. Every staff member we came into contact with was friendly, smiley and helpful. Even staff who we did not have direct contact with said goodbye as we left. The food itself was what you would expect for a mid priced restaurant. a good amount of choice, reasonably well cooked, but the staff would definitely encourage me to return as they created a great evening.
