Poor quality pizza. Minimal toppings - maybe 1/2 mushroom and 2 olives. Overpriced. Nothing good to report about this restaurant. How hard is it to make a good pizza? Got the impression staff don’t care. City location with good footfall - serve anything!

The triple chocolate bomba is not for the faint hearted! Loved the sea bass

Apart from four things, this was as expected. Pros: tasty food and drinks. Loos and place as a whole seemed well looked after. Cons: The £19.90 discount from the Uni days app was not applied. I look forward to being invited back for the refund to my card. The waiter had a voice so loud that we had to pause conversation when he spoke. Considerable delays in getting our orders in for food and drinks. After we finished the mains, we awaited the desert menu but were instead given the bill and told "The kitchen is closed." Probably won't return.

Food is always lovely at Zizzi but too expensive for what you get in my opinion. What made me give it 2 stars is the service though. A very rude waitress served us and made me feel very uncomfortable giving me a weird look when I politely asked not to have one of the ingredients in my pizza. She was very cold and you could tell she didn't want to be there which made the experience awkward. They took 2 hours in serving us a side of arancini and 2 pizzas with a couple drinks. Overall food was good, but we received very poor service and the bill was too expensive for the amount of food we ate. Wouldn't recommend it I am afraid!

Had the lasagne, with extra bolognese sauce upgrade. Such a small, dry portion, I'd hate to think what a normal serving would've been like! Nearly £20 and not dissimilar to a supermarket ready made meal.

The food was lovely and Justyna was a great help in advising us about the different dishes on offer which helped us choose something we would enjoy. We didn't have to wait long for the food to be served by Justyna who attentive and friendly. Already looking forward to our next visit.

First time at this restaurant but it won't be our last. Justyna was a great help choosing our food and was extremely efficient in serving us. She made us very welcome and we will be back soon.

Food - Amazing, not much else to say. The service was cheery and what was offered from Finlay made our nights, straight to the point and got everything done we could throw at him. There was another tall one but I didn't catch his name also met our service with a smile. Atmosphere was perfect. Food tasted authentic, desserts, starters and the main course, water is free and they have a nice selection of Italian wines. The pasta crisps which are served at the beginning of the meal are also free of charge and are more than suitable for snacking. Ordered seabass, black truffle salami pizza for the mains, pizzas are huge and the base is not soggy, well crisped, whole flour bases.

A friend's birthday lunch, table for 7. All different meals all tasty served very hot. We shared starters. Service was excellent. We were put next to a very large party who were very noisy and made it hard to hear any conversation. Friendly and helpful staff

Came out for dinner asked for a table for 2 the guy said go on any table for 2 sat at the table for 2 only to be rudely told to move by the waiter when asked why we sat where you said for 2 people just grunted at us So got our coats and left the only reason we could see why we couldn’t sit where we were is due to all been cleaned and couldn’t be bothered to mess up a table well done zizzi you just lost 2 customers with what would have been a bill for around 80 to 100 pound nice not doing business with you very rude of the waiter

We had an absolutely splendid evening at Zizzi last night. The honour of being attended to by the affable Alex greatly heightened our experience. This witty chap was incredible amusingly, the most delightful affair, indeed.

Alex was the best server ever he deserves all of the praise. He made a very rare night out for a tired mum and dad brill. Food was fantastic, and service was very fast and efficient. Prices were reasonable. Did have the big light on though hence the 4 star for atmosphere.

The first time I came here we wasn’t allowed in as it was full. The second time I came we where the only ones here. The service was great. We came around 3pm. I got the six layer lasagna, the raspberry mocktail and my dad got the vegan rainbow lasagna and the lemonade. We also got a salad to share. We both found our meals delectable and would definitely come back here again. Even though there was no others customer the atmosphere was nice and we felt comfortable. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Pizza was excellent, well conceived and executed. Dessert was a little bit dry. Service was fantastic, Justyna was genuinely warm and attentive without being overbearing.

Been here many times before, this time it was New Years Eve Evening the waitress that severed us was all over the place, didn't get all our starters right and missed one out then came back with a very lame excuse why it was missing, then the mains was wrong and to top it off we only ordered 1 sweet and she got THAT wrong as well. Then she said we couldn't pay cash for our meal CARD only but the cheeky so and so (waitress) said could we leave the tip for her in cash please shocking by her. Has for the food couldn't fault it at all nice as always, maybe a while before we come back after that experience.

We normally have a really nice time having dinner at zizi. But not today, the waitress serving us was quite unfriendly, never felt so unwelcome at any restaurant before!

We dropped by on New Years Day for lunch. Nice place with very friendly staff. There were a lot of families with children and the staff was interacting with the children very nice as well. Food was great too. Many options to choose from, also if you want to eat vegetarian or vegan.

Quite possibly the worst meal I’ve had ever in a restaurant ! Ordered lasagne it turned up 5 mins after ordering. So ok couldn’t fault the service but clearly microwaved and at 14,50 a portion I’d have been better off with a ready meal from tescos it would have tasted better !

Visited to celebrate my husband’s retirement. Jules greeted us warmly on arrival and showed us to our reserved table. Throughout our visit both Jules and Dolly were excellent, lots of chatter checking everyone was ok and explaining the menu and wines. It felt like they had created a great atmosphere in the restaurant which was quite busy for 2 people to host but they were superb and nothing was too much trouble for them Food as always was delicious, we enjoyed garlic bread with mozzarella and caramelised onion, chicken skewer followed by lasagna and a gorgeous chicken pasta dish plus a fabulous gingerbread latte…. Cheers guys We loved our retirement treat and the hosts were brilliant, Dolly helped me when I needed to get up, being disabled it’s wonderful to receive assistance without ‘fuss’ and she was so kind. Thank you all for a wonderful visit

A very very casual dining experience. The space was very cold, the staff, whilst very pleasant, were dressed far too casually (open shirts, jeans and trainers - not what I am looking for when paying for a dining-out experience). The 'nibbles' of pasta crisps were piled on trays by the front door, contents actually spilling out on to the trays. Looked very messy and I am glad that I did not order those! Pizzas nice but went cold extremely quickly. Also, there isn't the facility to pay with cash. Unlikely to return for all of the above reasons. I want something a little more special when I pay to eat out, otherwise I might as well eat at home. Sadly, casual dining out seems to the be the way of the world. No customer experience anymore except for in really special places.

We just had our works Christmas do here tonight and we wanted to give praise to our lovely server Sarah who gave outstanding service all evening. Nothing was too much trouble for her. I hope her manager sees this and gives her a bottle of wine at least, she definitely deserves it!

Troviamo questo ristorante nelle vicinanze del nostro albergo.Ci attira inevitabilmente la parola ..."cucina italiana" Dopo la solita consultazione esterna sul locale e sul menù, decidiamo di entrare. Locale carino, accogliente. Contenti della nostra scelta; ci accomodiamo. Ovviamente i ragazzi della sl sconoscono la lingua italiana, ma non importa rimaniamo fiduciosi....consultiamo il menù, ordiniamo. Arrivano le portate. Una pizza ed un primo. La pizza assai scadente, condita malissimo, deludente immangiabile, viene lasciata del tutto intera sul piatto. Ma passiamo al primo...un piatto di pasta corta tipo maltagliati al ragù di carne....si fa per dire. Nei fatti un piatto di pasta scotta all'inverosimile... impastata con del ragù di carne (sugo di pomodoro e carne)....indescrivibile....!!! Assolutamente sconfortati, proviamo a bere per dimenticare...consumiamo la nostra coca cola zero, almeno quella andava bene. Riteniamo assolutamente inutile ed improduttivo lamentarci, tanto che decidiamo di pagare e fuggire via. Peccato per l'improprio uso del termine "cucina italiana" ampiamente utilizzata da parte del locale. Esperienza pessima, anzi di più.....

Graduation Day celebration lunch. We were excellently looked after by Scott. Who was great and made the meal even more pleasant. Would recommend going here and we will be back as someone else once said.

Popped in after my younger sisters graduation and the service was friendly and helpful without being too full on which is perfect ( we were served by the waiter in the grey air force 1s) and the prawn linguine was some of the best I've had at a chain restaurant

As soon as we walked into the restaurant we were made to feel welcome and a valued customer. The restaurant was busy and buzzing with atmosphere. Throughout the evening the service was friendly, helpful and attentive. We had a very enjoyable evening meal- thanks!

Food served was excellent, despite being quite busy on a Saturday evening the service was friendly and prompt.only downside was payment was only accepted by card,no cash which personally I think is a big mistake, please change your policy accept cash.

Pasta x 2 different dishes. Both bland, uninspiring, dry and "baked" by being on top of a hotplate for too long. Not worth the price. Expected so much better.

We had a really good experience last night. The food was gorgeous and staff bent over backwards to help us with a complicated voucher situation?! We absolutely will be back, with the Zizzi app/card. Well worth downloading as you get a free garlic bread worth £6 or so. Then earn zzz for further discounts. The only pointer is that there was a very strong bizzare smell on the way to the toilet. It was NOT from the toilet but it was a chemical smell or air freshener that wasn’t too pleasant. That is the only thing I can suggest to sort to improve customer experience. Meal and staff both fantastic !!!

We really enjoyed our meal. We hadn’t planned to go there but it didn’t disappoint. We had help with a voucher situation and staff showed a lot of patience. Food was delicious. The only thing I can say is that there was a very over powering smell on route to the toilet. It wasn’t like a loo smell more like a super strong air freshener, but it made my eyes water. The meal and staff were perfect though.

Went for an early dinner with my mam before going to see Alfie Boe at city hall. Gotta say it was the best food weve ever had at zizzis. been to a few other restaurants but this was by far the best. Thanks to Mario the chef, also Jules our waiter who went above n beyond to make sure everything was perfect for us. What a perfect gentleman, couldn’t help anymore if he tried, lovely personality and was excellent in every way. He’s a credit to the establishment

Food is good chain restaurant fare, and the service is quick, cheerful and efficient. Our most recent visit was a Saturday evening and the noise level from fellow diners made it difficult to concentrate on the meal, so I'd advise visiting on a weeknight as we have previously.

The food was nice but the service was not as good as previous visits. I asked to move tables but my request was declined even though there was lots of free tables. I felt the server was quite offhand and we did not receive the service that we have previously experienced here.

Had food here for the first time with garlic bread with mozzarella and red caramelized onions which was really nice , had the chicken Milanese for main which was served with a small amount t of vegetables & fries , no beer on drought so had to settle for a large bottle of Peroni which was expensive at £6.60 , staff were 50/50 some nice and helpful & some non verbal / not engaging, would recommend and go back

Great food as usual and good value

Took my wife here for her birthday and we don’t regret a moment of it!!! The pizza was absolutely amazing!! I loved it so much I’m still thinking about it - two pizzas of the same price we were able to half and half so we chose a black truffle one on a white base and one that’s called “pig” something which has nduja and is a little spicy and sweet on a red base. Don’t miss out on this one. The salmon pasta was ok but it got cold quickly so I won’t get it again but if you want something that hits the spot and isn’t too sweet or heavy on the calories go for the Berry Cherry Sundae! It’s perfect for two to share and just soooooooo good!! You can’t go wrong with these two! Check out the pics.

Very disappointed. Zizi used to be a "go to" but after tonight I think we will be going elsewhere. The pasta dish I had resembled a microwave meal. Crispy top and lacking in flavour. All that was missing was the clear film across the top of the dish. The prosciutto on the top was like shoe leather and the whole thing lacked flavour. My wife ordered the Sea bass, which, according to the menu, was " Served with rainbow heritage carrots, garlic spinach and rosemary & sea salt chips. With a seafood butter sauce for pouring." It arrived and was basically a bowl of French fries with a sea bass fillet sat on top. Hiding below all that was a couple of miniscule carrots and 4 or 5 leaves of wilted spinach. No sauce. Very poor. Such a shame. The staff were obviously rushed off their feet but did their best. We shan't be going back.

What can I say about this restaurant, it's the love of my life , the staff are amazing kind and very lovely and funny , the food is yummy , I love all dishes there I recomend the sea bass 🤤😏 , garlic bread , the chefs are so professional and amazing , 👏 , never seen a place like that , LOVE ZIZZI ❤️, if you want a good food and a good service, go there :)

Starters fab dessert lovely unfortunately pasta and meatballs was disgusting with some sort of flat pieces of mincemeat definitely not balls with garlic and mozzarella. And yes I complained to be told that's how it is. An Italian restaurant that can't make meatballs.

Besides the good food and service, we were lucky enough to enjoy the music and dancing in Leopold Square

The food was ok, but our meal was heavily interrupted by the male waiter on shift who continued to shout to his Co workers across the restaurant, he seemed nice enough but I found this small thing to be incredibly rude and not something I want when I go to eat

Food was lovely. As a pescatarian there was plenty to tempt me, I ordered crab cannelloni which was gorgeous, and the bruschetta and tiramisu were nice enough. All 3 were part of a Valentine’s menu for a decent price of ~£25. Decent cocktails on top of that. Service was great considering how late we stayed, they were nice and accommodating despite it being one of the busiest nights of the year.

Went here on a nice quiet Tuesday. It was a small group for a birthday meal. The staff were brilliant, on hand, and never felt rushed. The meal was superb, as I have an issue with 90% of produce, but I managed to get a tailored but tasty meal. (always said, "If they can feed me, then everyone else will be able to Eat!"). Medical diets can be a pain, but it is doable if you explain to your server how you need your meal. Excellent understanding from all staff and many thanks to the chefs who created some beautiful food for me. Would go again, mid week, due to it being a nice relaxing evening. Thank you, guys and girls. Btw, the loos are spotless, sweet, smelling, and very pleasing to use. Great.

Visited with work colleagues and will never eat there again. Starters came quickly however two of out parties starters were missing and didnt arrive until everyone else had finished eating. The mains came shortly after, 3 of our parties mains were missing. No apologies from the staff when we asked about them we were just told they wouldnt be long. 1 rainbow lasagna turned up and a chicken salad. The chicken salad was extremely cold like it had been previously been in a freezer so it was sent back… again no apology and were still missing another lasagna. Eventually the we got the missing lasagna minus the apology of the fact everyone else had practically eaten theres. We were told the late items would be removed off the bill. At this point we wanted out (would have probably got dessert and more drinks if the service wasnt so terrible) the bill came. Wasnt our bill. Finally received said bill and they had the nerve to put a £22 service charge on. This was quickly removed after a few choice words. The bill was split but we were all told we were short. At this point we didn't have the patience or the sheer will to argue so we paid and left in the knowing we would never return.

Food was good and friendly staff. The table of young lads near us ruined the experience with their foul language and bad manners. I complained but it didn't stop. Ruined a family meal.

Very good atmosphere with live music playing in the square. One of our mains was spaghetti bolognese which was very watery and didn't have any bolognese. We pointed this out and it was quickly changed, still not a great deal of bolognese but much better. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Delivery. Garlic bread burnt, spaghetti bolognese had absolutely no tomato and was very greasy. Wouldn't buy again.

We had a voucher from last Christmas and had the opportunity to use it at last. We hadn’t been to zizzis for years now the kids are adults but we have aged too and now have dietary intolerances that come with maturity! We were asked if we had intolerances and, I kid you not, were handed a spiral bound A4 booklet of every dish off the menu with every possible intolerance. I was able to choose a starter and a main course that suited me and really enjoyed them. OH starter and mains were well received and enjoyed. Coffee was excellent. Staff were jolly, pleasant and accommodating. Three cheers all round🎉

Myself and my girlfriend went for a meal on Sunday and it was lovey. The food itself was fine but what made the experience was the service. Finn looked after us making sure we had everything we needed without pestering the table and it really made for a lovey anniversary meal. He went above and beyond to make sure it went well for both of us so 10/10 would come back give this man a pay rise!

Arrived staff stood chatting when we asked for a table the young male waiter went to clean a table for us as all the fee tables were dirty. We ordered a bottle of wine not offered to taste it. Some things weren’t available on the menu. No cutlery when it was brought out he put both sets next to me instead of putting my husband’s next to him. The Picanto Pizza was extremely spicy l left half of it. My husbands pasta was dry and had no taste so half of that was left. Never had such a poor meal at a Zizzis before. The waiting staff need training, some energy and some interpersonal skills. A very expensive experience we won’t be returning.
