We visit Ask with a group of friends once a month. The experience can vary depending on which staff are working that day but on the whole the food is great and service is usually good. They do serve the best chips!

Comimos como una fiesta de 7 antes de un espectáculo y no podría haberse sentido más cuidado por Johanna, ella era excelente y muy acogedor y amable toda la noche. La comida también era genial, todos pedimos diferentes platos y todos realmente disfrutamos de ellos. La velocidad de servicio también era mucho mejor que la sucursal de Birmingham. Sin duda volvería aquí de nuevo

Pasamos la noche aquí en familia. Todos tuvimos diferentes platos principales y postres y toda nuestra comida era deliciosa. Estábamos muy consentidos para elegir en los postres - todos sonaron increíbles, pero toda la noche fue realzado por nuestra camarera súper amable y eficiente Johanna que no puedo elogiar lo suficiente. Ella realmente hizo todo lo posible para darnos la bienvenida. Ella es un activo para el equipo.

We had such a great experience at ASK Italian Sheffield. On top of the fantastic service, the food was absolutely delicious. So fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and all the staff were so friendly and attentive. Special shout out to Tom M who was so friendly, polite, and just genuinely lovely. Nothing was too much trouble and he made sure we had everything we needed, gave great recommendations, and just made the whole meal even better. Overall a really wonderful dining experience ☺️

Absolutely amazing restaurant. Food was incredible tasty, fresh and well served. Guys from service very nice and helpful 👍😀 Good prices! Clean place. All was 10 out of the 10 Tip them because they deserve it well 💪😃

Me and my partner visited this evening as we had walked past it many times and thought it looked like a nice restaurant. I was however very disappointed with my experience. It started with the presentation of the restaurant its self. There were smears on the windows, light bulbs which needed changing, a fire exit sign with no light and holes in the wall in the customer toilet. As for the food, I ordered the chicken Milanese with chips, it however came with potato’s. It wasn’t only us who had issues, the table next to us had to have their food taken back due to it being incorrect. Not what you expect when you’re spending £60 on two meals.

Delicious food, cheerful and attentive staff and a lovely atmosphere. Will most certainly be returning.

John was our waiter on New Year’s Eve. He has worked at Ask for many years and as always, he was personable, friendly, and helpful. Sorry for the delay in reviewing. I've just found the receipt in a handbag.

Fantastic food service wonderful

Pre-show meal Saturday night and WOW what exceptional service and attention. The customer service was superb as was last time we visited. Highly recommend this lovely eatery. Good food and staff interaction, we look forwards to returning in May before La Boheme. Thanks guys!

Ate here before a concert at the City Hall just across the street. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Our server was the most lovely young man who was very attentive and the other staff were also really friendly Would definitely recommend this place.

Staff friendly and efficient food disappointing bolognaise tasted similar to supermarket convenience meal obviously not freshly prepared in ask carbonnara not as disappointing but not great

Nos encanta preguntar italiano, como familia hemos visitado las sucursales de Cardiff y Birmingham y hemos estado absolutamente encantados. Pero hoy fuimos a Sheffield, al igual que con los otros restaurantes el personal era increíble, y nada es demasiado problema, pero la comida era horrible, el entrante estaba quemado, la pizza era apenas caliente y tenía muy poca cobertura de la lubina era viscosa y mi plato de pasta era apenas caliente e insípido. El personal era increíble, ya que no comimos la mayoría de la comida que solo nos cobraron por lo que habíamos comido. Esto fue un shock para el sistema después de visitar a otros de la cadena

We ate at 1 pm on a Sunday. Place was empty when we got there but was very busy by the time we left. Service good, food good. It was quite cold though. They did have a big heater to try and warm it up a bit. We were going to the city hall for the Ballet so a perfect spot to dine first. Would go again. Staff lovely.

Si pudiera dar 0 estrellas lo haría. Me dijeron que “vamos a cerrar muy pronto” una hora y cuarto antes de que cierren, esperaron 40 minutos en un restaurante vacío por pasta que salió fría y cuando nos quejamos simplemente la metieron en el microondas. Desgracia absoluta

Lack of choice. I would have liked to have some plain chicken cooked in a tomato sauce with a small amount of pasta in, or maybe pollo scicilliana, but there wasn't the option. While I realise all everyone's needs can't be catered for, I did think there may be more choices rather than burgers & pizzas.

Perfect service perfect food every time never disappointed

Prioritised a large takeaway order of probably 20 pizzas over seated guests. Dinner took TWO HOURS to arrive. This is not a restaurant worth visiting, they’re a wannabe catering business who put a bit of money ahead of visiting customers. DO NOT waste your time.

Lovely food, great relaxed atmosphere and really accomodating when 3 of our party cancelled last minute. Maria our server was patient and helpful. Will come back for sure.

Very low quality pasta and slow service, we waited for ever for our food which was cold

First time visit but would certainly return. Ideally placed for the City Hall . Service very good and special mention for Johanna who made our experience extra special.

The food was beautiful, piping hot & freshly cooked. Johanna, our server, was wonderful. She was very attentive-always asking if we had everything we needed as she passed and came over and had a chat at the end of our meal. Everything was lovely. Will definitely come again.

Llevó a mis nietos y a sus amigos [6 en total] a primera hora de la noche a este restaurante después de buscar por el centro de la ciudad un lugar al que ir después del viaje al Museo Nacional de Videojuegos. Servicio amable, servicial y eficiente , un montón de asientos de mesa para grupos grandes , y la comida - pizzas, patatas fritas y ensalada era genial también . Cuesta alrededor de £ 12 por persona con compartir. Buen ambiente también. .

Let down by serving hot food on a really cold plate

Food is usually excellent, been going for years and have only ever been dissatisfied once. The service is very friendly and efficient.

A very busy pre-Christmas Saturday. Very rushed and the food could have been better BUT I came here to praise the server John for his attention to detail, hard work with the rest of the staff who at times looked a little lost and in particular the way he spoke to our 8 year old daughter. He got down on her level, spoke to her like a human being and she responded brilliantly to him! I wish more people would serve kids in this way. She felt a real part of the ordering routine. Thanks John!

Personal genial, servicio bueno, comida bastante decente. Las albóndigas festivas venían calientes y eran agradables y sabrosas. Mi calzone que parecía un estegosaurio estaba lleno de relleno y era bueno. Lasaña Juniors también buena. Tuvimos una buena noche. Acústicamente el lugar lleva mucho ruido y era difícil escuchar los servidores a veces.

Nunca volveremos a ir aquí. El servicio aplaudía. Pedimos a las 5. 50 - necesitábamos salir a las 7. 15 ya que teníamos entradas para el Ayuntamiento. Nos dimos cuenta de que la gente que entró después de que los 4 de nosotros fueron servidos - pidió varias veces para nuestra comida. Nadie explicó por qué no se servía el nuestro. Finalmente nos fuimos - ¡Espantoso!

Went for a meal after my sons graduation, they gave him a free glass of bubbly to say congratulations and a big discount off the bill. The food was fantastic, as was the atmosphere and the staff were just amazing. Can not recommend this place enough!!

Food is always delicious - Alfred (aged 7) We always come here as a family, the staff are always amazingly attentive and great with the kids!

I ordered seasoned chicken on my pizza more like boiled chicken with a bit of salt

Came here after my graduation and it did not disappoint, food was absolutely lovely perfect portion sizes and all tasted great. Staff are so kind and friendly and the atmosphere was great. Only complaint is that it was a little bit noisy but that's understandable as it is a Friday evening. Other than that it was fantastic and would definitely return!

Had a fabulous meal here, taking advantage of the offer that came with our Tastecard. Food was really tasty. Good sized portions too. Staff were incredibly friendly and couldn’t have done more to help us. Highly recommended!

The Atmosphere was quiet but that was due to the fact we dined at 9:00 on a Sunday. I recommend this restaurant.

Lovely meal nice server but the main course was not really hot enough so that meant we had to eat it quickly to enjoy the taste as pasta .

Mi marido y yo nunca hemos visitado un restaurante italiano y salir con hambre. Mi marido tenía hongos para empezar que estaban bien, plato principal tenía calzone que a menudo elijo, era casi frío y porción muy pequeña. Mi marido tenía pasta que pensó que era una porción de niño, postre yo tenía bomba de chocolate que de nuevo porción muy pequeña, el vaso no estaba ni medio lleno como se anuncia en el menú. Totalmente decepcionado.

Rather enjoyable meal with the family. The restaurant was super busy because of the gig at City Hall but the staff did well and got mains and deserts out on time which were nice and tasty. And in conjunction with all of that, dealing with the Hyacinth Bucket woman two tables over who seemed to think she was dining at Aqua Shard. Well priced and decent meal which was bettered by the staff who were good fun and very efficient.

This place was delicious, they had lots of Italian food, I recommend the Luganica & ‘Nduja Tagliatelle as it was tasty. The service was also great and the staff were super friendly, 10/10. All in all, 5/5

Food was decent (Not amazing) service was shocking. Our starters came before our drinks after we’d been sat down for 35 minutes. Wasn’t checked on whilst eating. Wouldn’t be too eager to return soon

Gran servicio de comida, recomiendo encarecidamente y esperamos volver de nuevo. Yo tenía calamares entrantes y lubina, mi madre tenía setas al olvidó para el entrante y fetichina boloñesa, terminado con una tarta de limón de sicilia y cafés. Yum

A bit loud, but good service. I was disappointed with the menu, which used to have more vegan options. The print on the menu is also tiny.

Really friendly staff, food was lovely. Not too busy but it was a Monday lunchtime. Would highly recommend the arancini starter. The lasagne and pizza were also really nice.

I’m absolutely appalled at the service as the waiter spilt drinks twice once landing on my legs and then a very slippy floor afterwards which is very dangerous. Other than that the food was lovely and enjoyed it lots.

Firstly the Mushrooms Al forno we ordered was a disappointment, we have had that same dish in Edinburg few times and this one was not even close to what we were served before. Secondly we order a cocktail which we wanted to have with our dessert, the manager was at the bar, the restaurant had 3 tables including us but never got the drink for next 10 minutes, unfortunately we had to leave as we were running late for the movie. Although our server Amina was really friendly and attentive.

Calzone is unexpectedly delicious. Maria and Courtney are super staff… Love it!
