Zizzi - Kenilworth in Warwick

Was a little disappointed, being very honest. The food was good but did not hit the heights. Service was okay but not as warm and connecting as I’ve experienced before. Also found the acoustics difficult: it felt noisy.

Food was really nice but despite the restaurant being quite quiet, the service was infuriatingly slow! The staff took ages to take our orders and the food took a long time to arrive.

Went in the middle of the day on a Thursday, service was spot on and food really good, very quiet but that is probably expected, will definitely be returning

Love this Zizzi it's probably my favourite. The staff are always polite and friendly and the food is amazing and always lovely. Was very disappointed to find out it would be closing

We had a red letter gift voucher thats why we were there. Its a very varied menu and the food when it came was very good and large portions. The deserts were also delicious and again good size portions. Had a non alcoholic cocktail which was a bit watery.

We had lunch at Zizi Kenilworth. Our server lucci is professional and knowledgeable about the food.

Pleasant service. Food nicely presented and very tasty. Good value with Tastecard. The new Triple Chocolate Bomba, was very rich, but very delicious - a less greedy person, may be tempted to share, not me though! Overall impressed, seems Zizzi is back - really hope Kenilworth Zizzi stays open.

Woman that works there, I'm guessing she is the manager. Her attitude is awful, way she speaks to the staff and delivery drivers is disgusting. She's in the wrong job with that attitude. Won't be returning.

The waitress who met us at the did not let us in. She ask if we have a table booked, that happened at lunchtime.The restaurant was not even half occupied.Very abruptly said that we cannot stay as it is only one chef and they cannot cope She just turned her back and did not even apologise. I felt embarrassed.I am regular visitor since Zizzi opened in Kenilworth but this may be my last one The team was always kind but cannot say that for the new staff member.

I decided to treat myself today, Easter Sunday, to my favourite Zizzi meal, casareccia pollo piccante. If you haven't tried it, give it go! On entering the Kenilworth restaurant I was greeted by the pleasant hostess, Mirela, who sat me in a warm and cosy area. Not long after ordering, a table for 10 and six, respectively, came to dine. Mirela, who was on her own ensured that all guests were well taken care of, with very little waiting time between sitting down and receiving drinks and meals. I thoroughly enjoyed the meal, so much so that I wanted to thank the kitchen staff (Jess and Mohit), with one of them being the manager for the branch. We'll done Jess and team.

We just went for an Easter Sunday lunch for eleven family members. We knocked over wine, made a mess, had convoluted orders, some vegans and some carnivores. We asked for extra this and extra that, gallons of ice water and all of it was catered to with delicious food options and handled beautifully with grace, kindness and smiles from our fabulous host and waitress. They accommodated a last minute birthday desert request; and made what could have been a fraught family gathering super positive and one to remember for the ages!! Thank you so much!! I appreciate your kindness, professionalism and positive manner sooooooo much 👍🙏☺️

Without doubt the worst meal we have had in a very long time. The starters had obviously been left for ages, were cold and congealed. The pizza main course was cold and the pizza itself was ghastly. My wife’s pasta was obviously old and had been left and then reheated. It was terrible and the staff just looked resigned to complaints.

Went on a Sunday afternoon. It was ok. Food was good, service was slow even with a virtually empty restaurant. Won't stop us going back though. It was pleasant enough.

Very quiet when we arrived - Saturday 1pm - so no excuse for poor quality food. Slow service, and a stone cold lasagne, which was taken back and reheated. £52.45 for a lunch that came back up when we arrived home. Definitely won’t be visiting again!

Food is ok but ingredients or quality (I cant work out which it is) is a little lower than it has been, food isn't as tasty as it once was. We will return as staff are friendly and helpful and prices aren't too bad. Please sort out the ingredients or quality and get the amazing tastes back in the food!!

We returned with our family after a previous bad experience. The new manager was really welcoming and friendly, and has already made a big impact to the restaurant from her experience. The atmosphere was better, the food was top notch, and the waiters were friendly and helpful. We will definitely be returning and look forward to seeing her turn this restaurant around. Anyone who had a bad experience here previously, I thoroughly recommend giving them another try.

Food is average at best, good service, expensive for what it is.

Our 1st time visiting Zizzi Kenilworth (our local one is Leamington, unfortunately it was fully booked for Sunday 10/12/23). We found the Kenilworth branch soleless and lacked atmosphere, considering its Christmas season you'd have thought it would have been enjoyable and fun, there was no decorations, party hats, if you didn't know it was Christmas soon, you wouldn't have any idea in there. It was a complete let down and I feel quite upset about it. We're a family of 5, 3 adults/ 2 kids) and paid £145 and feel as though we wasted our hard earnt cash. We always take the kids out for Christmas treat within a couple of weeks in the run up to Christmas, usually, Zizzi Leamington. Food was burnt. Didn't look the nicest, coffee was the size of a babyccino and mostly froth. Avoid I'd say if you want to have an enjoyable evening out!

Found hair in goat cheese butternut squash and courgette salad ,didn't like it.The waitress with philipino accent was more annoying in her behaviour.

Disappointing. The place has little atmosphere. The staff are doing their best to be unhelpful. The pizza rustica was burnt and dry.

So far the best Zizzi’s I’ve been to. The atmosphere and staff are very nice! And like all other branches the food is amazing and the portions are very generous.

Incredibly slow service. Multiple tables left before being served. When food did arrive it wasn’t particularly nice. Vegetarian in our group was served meat bolognaise. Discounted bill but very little concern.

Very friendly & competent service, ever changing menu but this time some of the veggie options were disappointing in terms of taste. Expensive cocktails...was left wondering if & how much alcohol was actually in them!

Went here for an impromptu meal for my birthday. The restaurant was empty 3 waiting staff and 2 chefs standing around. We were shown to our table and given a menu. We both have allergies and enquired about the contents of a couple of dishes, we asked if the meals contained onions, to which we were told they didn't know the ingredients of the dishes. We asked them to check the chef and they didn't know either. They said it's all pre-prepared and just shrugged. So we aim to order what could be best predicted not to contain onions. Cheesy garlic bread for instance , 10 mins later, I'm served a dark coloured garlic bread. We try to find staff - eventually we get someone to come over and ask what has been served, a cheese and balsamic onion garlic bread , and the manager stated I thought it was ' just you with the issue'. Honestly everything was too much bother, she was fed up when talking, huffing and thrusting a card machine at the end of the meal. No thank you nothing. Mistakes happen - fine Mistakes with allergies can be fatal - at least apologize. Customer service can go a long way to setting the scene.

On arrival we found the atmosphere very noisy and we couldn't hear each other speak. Also the lady that showed us to our table was miserable. Our waitress was extremely friendly and helpful,and it was only her second night of working there. Another lady helped her to take the order, which we later found out was her mum. They were really lovely. Service was extremely slow with drinks and food. We waited 45 minutes for our main course! I had to tell a member of staff we were still waiting. However our food was very good when it arrived.

Extremely slow service. Took ages to seat us, take our order and deliver our food. Because of this, our food was just about warm not hot. Then the waitress that brought it over just put it on the table and basically sprinted off. Didn’t ask if we needed anything else. Parmesan and ketchup would have been nice. No one came anywhere near us to be able to ask. Then the waitress came to check on us when we were nearly finished, so pointless at that point. Pizza was pretty burnt on the edges and the pasta lacked sauce. Been to many Zizi’s as we we love the food, but this one is not up to standard. By far the worst one we’ve been to. Wouldn’t come again.

Lovely food we always enjoy Zizi. Staff good no complaints about service. However rated the atmosphere only 2 stars on this occasion as the music is too loud. It was a struggle to hear my friend talking, and she also felt the same.

A lovely little restaurant, the staff were very friendly and attentive, the food arrived quickly and was really tasty. If we are in the area again we'd definitely consider coming back here.

Ordered via deliveroo a dessert, came through with mould on it. Resolved via deliveroo with a refund but would have expected better than this from Zizzi’s.

Hier kann ich nur 5 Sterne geben. Das Ambiente ist super. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und hat uns schnell bedient. Das Essen war grandios. Einer der besten Pizzas die ich gegessen habe. Der Teig war unwerfend gut. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder macht weiter so💪

Starter was horrendous....Capresse....1 bizarre tasting slice of mozzarella served with lots of tomatoes and weird rock hard tomatoe skin things! Pizza half of it cooked other half decent. Won't be back.

Really appreciated the concern shown re one of our party having a nut allergy, it was a first in twenty years eating out, staff were very attentive, food was good, the only down side and this is no reflection on the staff or the restaurant...it was so warm in the dinning room🥵, but it was 26 degrees outside

Starters arrived (cold) before pre dinner drinks. Main meal arrived before our table had been cleared. Plates and glasses pushed on another table next to us (twice) rather than being cleared away. My meal was disappointing. Extra drink ordered just never arrived. This seems to be the normal service at this Zizzi. Poor owner management and insufficient staffing.

Lots of lovely and tasty vegetarian options. The environment and staff are lovely and made sure that my family was very well welcomed. My 1 & 1/2 son loved the food and was treated so nicely the entire lunch!

Food was surprisingly really nice here! I’ve eaten at a different branch before and it was awful! However we were told we couldn’t use a gift voucher due to it being bank holiday (2nd January) despite there being no mention of this on the website and the waiting staff seemed really moody. Four stars is for the chef, not the waiting staff.

Came here for lunch. The place was quiet, and we were not even checked if the food was okay, if we needed anything. Had to find and pick up the salt and pepper myself.

Great value for money. It’s a chain, but definitely not fast food. I don’t know how authentic it is, but definitely above average. But beware they will ask you for gratuity.

Being an Italian my expectations were kinda low, but it was overall a good experience. Meatballs were good enough and pizza was light and crunchy, not napoli style but satisfying nonetheless. Waiters were really kind and service was perfect.

Food was nice. The service was poor! The waitress was extremely rude! We asked for some tomato ketchup for our grandson, you would have thought we asked her to grow the tomato’s herself first! She was so moody/eye rolling and very unhelpful! I am never one to complain but I will not be returning to this branch again, which is a shame as we have been many times before!

First time I visited Zizzi and I was pleasantly surprised. I was hoping it was going to be better than the usual chain italian restaurant fodder and it genuinely was. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and chatty. Atmos was nice - chilled out but not too quiet. Food was really tasty. Decent selection on the menu and it was well presented and flavoursome. Dessert was the much the same but with a slightly more limited choice. Prices? Not expensive but not bargain basement either. Would I go back? Definitely. And looking forward to it.... Update - went back and it wasn't as good as before. Slightly updated menu. 1 out of 4 dishes was a bit rubbish (calzone). Other 3 were ok but not outstanding. Ordered via the app which minimised contact with staff. Didn't stay for dessert..... The visit was midweek and the place was mainly empty and yet we were put on a table inches from another full table whilst the rest of the restaurant was empty - bit weird. Plus take was really a 2 seater and there was 4 of us.... Bit disappointed this time.

Popular restaurant so booking recommended... Good choice of starters including sharing platters and a great cheesy garlic bread. There's a wide range of pasta, pizza and meat and fish dishes, including a new improved Lasagne. Food served nice and hot and promptly even when busy.

Fabulous. Could not have asked for a better experience. A large party including one infant and one wheelchair user, and the staff could not have been more helpful. The food was excellent, dietary requirements were catered for, and we just had a great meal. Highly recommend.

Food superb, especially the pizza's🍕. Massive portions too, so go hungry! If you don't like chillies be careful as most dishes seem to have them in some form. Staff were friendly, but service was a little slow. Acoustics are very echoey which makes talking to anyone not directly next to you hard, but I guess that's part of the charm. Will definitely be back. 😎

First thing in the pasta menù was chorizo carbonara, what? 🤣🤣🤦‍♂️🤌😭 I am italian so we all can imagine: first reaction, shock! We go for lunch and have 2 pizza rustica...was not bad , the only think is that is literally too thin, is more a schiacciata than a pizza! Lovely service! I give 3 star because the price (as always in uk) are ridiculous, 43.50£ for 2 pizza and 2 Peroni, more than 20quid a head for a pizza and a beer is really too much!

Horrible women, horrible customer service. We entered around 6ish, whole restaurant empty, top 3 tables occupied. We ask for the table, she said it is all booked. We passed and hour later, all tables were still empty.

Fantastic food. Best pizza in the local area I've found. Though given this is a chain, there must be something out there that'd best it, but I haven't found it yet. The 4 course buyagift meal is really great value for money too.

What a disgrace their chef is at the Kenilworth restaurant. We arrived at 6:30pm and by 8:40pm we still hadn't received our food because we were a 'larger table' (a table of 6 who had pre-booked). In fairness to the waiting staff and the manager, they did all they could to try and resolve the situation but the chefs were awful. The waitress told me discretely that the head chef was 'extremely difficult' and wouldn't cook our food. I went and spoke to him directly and I've never received such a bad attitude from someone in all my life. He told me it 'wasn't his problem' that he had hadn't cooked our food?! And basically laughed in my face. My family were visiting from overseas and I hadn't seen them in 2 years - to receive this treatment, have our evening ruined and eventually leave the restaurant without eating because we'd had enough was beyond a joke. This man doesn't deserve to work there, its as simple as that - he's clearly making the waiting staff miserable, not cooking customers food and speaking to customers like they're rubbish when they ask what's gone on after not being served for over 2 hours. Utterly disgraceful.

Ordered takeaway 2 hours ago via Uber eats - no answer on phone to find out when it will arrive and it just cancelled on us.

Genuinely disappointing, would leave no stars if it was possible. Wait for food was just beyond a joke, prioritising delivery orders over pre booked tables is just unprofessional, waits for drinks was ridiculous, pasta doesnt take two and a half hours to cook. When it eventually turned up, wasn't that impressive, burnt a lasagna for one of the table, for an "Italian" restaurant this is poor. First and last time booking a table here, really quite a let down.
