Popped here after my daughters graduation. Wasn't particularly busy. Food and drinks were good . Staff hmmm, not bad but not great , really just seemed as though couldn't be bothered, especially when it came to paying. Basically dumped the card machine in front of me and said follow the prompts , then walked off , leaving me to struggle to see the small text and answer stupid questions. This was after the same staff member complaining about bringing a shopping bag in with us .

Desy was amazing, gave really good service and was very kind. 5 stars all around for her service

Would definitely not reccomend, we visited Sunday 17th November. My husband had Chicken Milanese, the chicken was greasy and overcooked. My carbonara was bland and tasteless. The staff were uninterested, we had to find cutlery and salt and pepper from another table. Service was very slow even though it wasn't busy. The poor quality of the food and service does not justify the cost.

We had chilli prawn pasta (which I'd had before & enjoyed). Way too much chilli & we both left it. My friend's dessert looked burned. Only 2 staff serving & hence service was slow. Won't be back.

I'm a regular at Zizzi in St David's Arcade in Cardiff City Centre and enjoy their food and also the friendly staff. Today I noticed they had a new special on their menu. It was a Lobster and King Prawn Pasta dish with a white wine and brandy sauce. The presentation of the dish was fantastic and the portion size was also impressive. The dish was tasty but might have needed a bit more spice. I should also mention the free twirly crisps at the start are very much appreciated as was the ice cold glass with the Peroni.

Thanks so much for the great service Jack and also for taking the time to write a list of recommended student hot spots! Very kind of you. Great food too!

Staff had terrible attitudes. They should be ashamed. The food was very mediocre.

The fact that I left the restaurant and went to another one even though I paid over £40 reflects how unsatisfied I was. Never coming back

Stopped by for a light lunch. Had to wait a while for our order to be taken, and then a bit of a wait to prepare. The food was nice , the staff were good and helpful . Quite pricey menu, but overall, it was a nice experience.

Outstanding. The staff were fantastic, extremely helpful, the service was great. The restaurant had a super atmosphere and flow. We were able to choose where we sat to dine. All the food was cooked to order at a good temperature. I highly recommend Zizzi, St David's 2, Cardiff City Centre a visit.

Comimos fuera del menú del almuerzo en aproximadamente £ 26 para 3 platos. Las porciones eran de buen tamaño Todos coincidimos en que nuestros entrantes, platos principales y postres eran buenos. El cóctel de tiramisú fue increíble Comí pizza vegana, chef, por favor considere marinar las bolas a base de plantas en una salsa o eliminarlas de su menú por completo, estaban tan secas y duras. Los saqué de la pizza y lo disfruté sin ellos. Frambuesa y chocolate blanco tiramisú era tan bueno. ¡Afilado y dulce! El restaurante estaba bastante vacío, pero el personal parece muy ocupado, esperó aproximadamente 10 minutos para sentarse. Me reconocieron mientras estaba allí, y me dijeron ‘alguien estará con ustedes ahora’. Pero una vez sentados, nos sirvieron rápidamente y el personal es amable Si tienes una tarjeta de luz azul no puedes usarla en todos los menús aquí. El mío fue rechazado porque usamos el menú de la hora del almuerzo. Algunos restaurantes hacen esto mientras que otros todavía permiten el uso en todos los menús Lo volvería a visitar ya que la comida era buena y el personal amable.

Ordered salmon with avocado. Lawful customer service, when told the waitress that it looks off and unfresh she didn't even question it took the plate, dropped the fork and tried kick the fork through the whole restaurant. She brought be another salmon which looked worse and tasted so unfresh and didn't apologise for anything. Stay away from this place if you don't want food poisining

Family of 5 pre concert at Principality Stadium, very busy everywhere. The food was delicious, not a piece of food left on our plates. Great service considering everywhere was full to the rafters. Will definitely return. Pizza and 4 different pasta dishes, all yummy.

It was my first time at Zizzi. Beth was very kind to suggest a few things. As this is my first visit to the city, she even took sometime to suggest a few places I should visit. She was very nice, calm and friendly. Food was great. The latte was hot exactly the way I like it. Although the glass was a tad bit small.

Had the 3 courses for £25. All three were really tasty! Only managed a photo of the starter.

Service was nice, servers were attentive and friendly. However the wagu meatballs were not good. Rock solid on the outside and relatively flavourless.

Food was really nice - I had a pizza and they are more than enough for one person but probably not enough for 2 to share! However it's not cheap - £17 just for the Pizza before drinks etc.

Reserved a table for our trip to Cardiff for Taylor Swift; despite being a busy stint, the staff were attentive, friendly and the restaurant was as clean and welcoming as ever. Food was cooked beautifully and the service was prompt. Always recommended to visit, but certainly consider booking table in advance to avoid any disappointment during weekends or busy periods.

Such a shame zizi has really gone downhill big time,there has never been enough staff but now the food is quite dreadful seems more concentration is now on lets eat deliveries!!!!!!

Food was nice but probably wouldn't be worth the money if we had paid full price. They also brought out our meals in under like 5 minutes which was great but both bf and I joked about how the meal was definitely popped in the microwave rather than being freshly prepared.

I recently popped into this branch of Zizzi in St David's 2 Arcade and I have to say everything was excellent. I really enjoy receiving the free Pasta Crisps you get on arrival. Nice touch. I ordered a bottle of Peroni and not only was the Peroni cold but so was the glass. Impressive. Food wise I went for a Pizza Fresca with Harissa and King Prawns. I added Jalapeños to make it extra spicy. This Pizza comes without cheese so it's healthier but still tasty. The staff were rushed off there feet but still provided a great service.

We visited zizzis for lunch, the service was poor, the lady who showed us to our table seemed she really didnt want to be there. After trying to get the attention of one of the waitresses, we finally placed our order, I ordered the pizza from the kids menu which apparently was a set menu and this wasnt mentioned to us so we didnt order the starter or the desert and yet got charged £9.5 for a pizza the size of two palms of hands. I then ordered the rasberry and mint cooler for my son without ice and was given half a glass of pink juice gor £5.75, when I queried why the glass was half full, I was told that the rest of glass was filled with ice and hence why half empty! The chicken de la casa was average and the chicken tasted old and the sauce was very runny. Overall £32 out of pocket for a baby pizza, half a glass of juice and a runny chicken pasta and poor service. Will never return again.

It was a fantastic choice for a lunch with a friend. The margarita was not heavy at all, we also had the dough balls with cheese and it was amazing! My friend also had calamari and loved it! It was such a happy day even the pizza was smiling at us.

Ordered 2 pizzas to collect. Unfortunately it looked like some how, all the cheese had slid off one of the pizzas, both were quite poor quality- the cheese on the pizzas felt incredibly chewy (didn’t feel like mozzarella but some strange cheddar) and the dough was bland and lacklustre. Not like my previous experience in zizis sadly- may be waiting a while before I try again.

Me and my friend went here today and all I can say is wow food was absolutely amazing drinks where perfect but the highlight of it all was our waitress Katarina absolutely amazing customer skills with a brilliant sense of humour absolutely recommend 10/10 unfortunately I don't have an photos except from the desert 😅

Booked in to use Tesco vouchers, told we couldn’t because there’s a local event on. It would be better to advise this when booking to avoid wasting our time

nice service, but pasta carbonara wasn’t worth it.

Having to order online in the restaurant, was a pain in the butt, because I'm coeliac and had to try and mix an allergen or den with non allergen order, even the server found it difficult and had to approach her manager to help. It didn't really add to a restaurant experience but more as a takeaway at a table type of thing. The staff in all fairness were lovely, it isn't them, it's the ordering process thang, I'm sure the staff could've taken our order manually much easier, and given us a better customer care you're eating in a restaurant experience . Also this felt as though we weren't being given a hands on experience, more of a handsoff type of vibe

John and his team at St David's, Cardiff were just excellent in every way..... food was really good and John and his team went above and beyond to meet our special request and requirements..... .all thanks for their kindness and care today.

Lovely meal and attentive staff

I visited Zizzi's in Plymouth a few weeks back and it was outstanding!!!!! Exceptional food and great value, so I booked this for my husband and I. By comparison it was poor. After a while my husband and I noticed our menus were different. His prices were a lot higher than mine, and the meal I wanted wasn't on the menu. (I selected looking at the online menu before). We questioned which was correct (obviously the higher priced one) and they said we had an old menu. This meant we couldn't have the dishes we had hoped for. Anyway, food was nice. No where near as good as Plymouth. They didn't offer the 3 courses deal, which other places do which actually made it very expensive for what it was. Wouldn't return as I don't think it's good value for money.

Iy wasn't to busy when we arrived, got sat at a table, drinks order taken, waited 35 minutes for starters, waited almost an hour for main course( the place was filling up) the food was warm and very bland! Dessert arrived about 30 minutes after main course was finished! We spent almost 3 hours there! We only went to Cardiff on a day trip! Won't be going there again in a hurry!

Always a great experience with zizzis, but please bring back the fromaggi cheese starter :(

Absolutely amazing service from Beth, we were a lot early and wondered if we could get a drink and Beth explained she maybe able to get our food table in earlier so we could have food and drink together. And she did! Then her service was excellent and recommendations too. We had pork and garlic meatballs and bruschetta with a mozzarella ball for starters which were served quickly and displayed amazingly too. The taste was lovely on both starters. For our mains we had a pure pepperoni pizza and a rustic sticky pig pizza which were very tasty. We struggled to finish them as they were huge! So Beth offered a takeaway box and we sadly had no room for starters. Definitely recommend and we have also booker again. Many thanks to a wonderful team!

Everyone was amazing and fully accommodated for my mum's various dietary requirements. The gluten free pasta was amazing!

A nice place to eat which is reasonably priced. Good selection of choice. Waiting staff attentive but friendly. Easy access for those with mobility issues. Food was hot when served and was delicious. I'd come here again.

Calzone was very good and the service as well. It was a Sunday afternoon and the only reason for giving four stars in Service section was that we waited probably close to half an hour for our mains.

We'd come to the st David's, Cardiff branch after a really positive experience at the Bridgend one. Apart from one great waiter, the service was really poor. We were seated without children's menu's (5 kids). After a further 10 mins we had to ask for the kids menu, and then a further 10 minutes we had to get up and ask for the crayons, then another 5 for basic drinks. The restaurant was only half full. There was zero hospitality, no smile, no apology for the wait. The waitress served us with a still face and was visibly irritated. Her manager seemed the same, flustered and irritated at basic requests. Appreciating how much it costs these days to take your family out, this is entirely unacceptable. We'll not be visiting Zizzis again. We understand this is a management issue (who they recruit and/or the attitude notes of staff on the floor).

I opted for prawns and bruschetta as 2 starters instead of a main and it was beautiful. Also very well presented. Great food and service with a smile. My only gripe is that we were waiting at the entrance to be seated for longer than I'd like. However, the food more tha made up for it. Very reasonable too.

Pan Fried Salmon & Pesto Risotto £17.25. Not a good experience. First of all we were unable to use our Tesco vouchers as there was an event on nearby. We stayed and both had the salmon risotto at full price. However, the salmon was slightly overcooked, the risotto was not particularly creamy as it had been described on the menu. The portion sizes were small (I am not a large eater) and were hurriedly put together. My portion had a few pea shoots on it as garnish and my friends had too many. Needless to stay we did not stick around for dessert. We did mention to the waiter and were given a free drink each so we had coffee.

Family meal of 7, food fabulous, atmosphere good, service slow slow slow!! No where near enough staff on, our waitress was amazing, couldn't do enough, just not enough of her to meet the needs of a Friday restaurant service... MANAGEMENT PAY ATTENTION YOU ARE LOSING CUSTOMERS !! GET MORE STAFF !!!

Bit of a mixed bag, some items are good quality and tasty, whereas others are tasteless, unseasoned and saturated in oil.

Pasta was overcooked and felt as it has been waiting for me for few days, flavourless. Waiters and waitresses are nice, but not coming for pasta here anymore

Worst Zizzi we have been too! Food burnt, greasy, oily. Wooden boards not clean. Service what service? Not asked if all okay, left for ages, poor slow service. Don't recommend at all.

Pizza was lovely but ordered a tomato pasta for my vegetarian girlfriend and they brought her bolognaise which looked like tomato and they didn’t come over and tell her they gave her the wrong meal until after she had a bite. Was very disappointing as had been looking forward to the meal but just ruined the mood and made her feel distressed and ill and only got a half arsed apology

Poor service. Food took over half an hour to wait, and that was only after enquiring as to where our order was. Food very average and lukewarm. Part of our order was missing, had to prompt staff. Most staff were standing around on their phones, totally uninterested in customers. Very confusing ordering system, could have walked out without paying and no one would have taken any interest. Will stick to other Italian chain restaurants in future.

Went in for a lunch time meal on a Sunday, had wonderful fresh pasta and good pizza, served by Matt who was an exceptional host and made us feel very welcome, would definitely come again
