Just now me and my fnd wnt to buy the milkshake have food twice same thing first i thought its a nuts but its a plastic

Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Staff were really nice, and the store is clean and well presented. Highly recommended

One of the worst places to go in cardiff. Rude staff… The lady at the cashier said us they are closed and after we left she was serving few lads who walked in. I asked how come that she said it’s closed for me and that she is serving other customers. She was complaining to me with an attitude saying that I didn’t ask for takeaway. I would never recommend this place to anyone until the lady at the cashier is changed. I too run a restaurant, I would never keep a staff like that to face the customer no matter how long she has worked, this place is going to run out of business and customers soon.

If i could give 0 stars i would. Rude staff, long waiting time, shop was not clean, dessert was horrible. Don’t waste your money here, there’s better desert places on the same road

Ordered a mango smoothie for mrs and asked for a small plastic cup to keep my baby happy. Really could have saved a unnecessary argument you have a shop full of cups and said we don't have cups was also willing to pay extra. Little things make a world of difference 😒

I ordered online from Here and must admit every time I open the box of donuts 🍩 a smile is on my face they look amazing and toppings and sauce are plentiful. Please give these guys a try if your looking to get messy in front of the t.v

I have been going to sweetbox regularly for a few years now. And they are always very welcoming and provide good service. The food is always lovely. And the prices are very reasonable!

Genuinely one of the best dessert shops in Cardiff! Good value for money, lovely staff, great music and very convenient opening hours especially as I get off work late! We will be back!

A special treat for my daughter and the host was attentive to my daughter and made us feel welcome. We picked ice cream shakes, which were so tasty! The triple chocolate fudge cake is one of the best cakes I’ve had (no sickly aftertaste). Generous portions and overall service was great!

Amazing customer service and presentation by Boss Lady and Boss man tonight. Served with a smile and elegancy. 10/10 will come again. Give them a raise💸 Also excellent music choice!!!

Ordered the cookie dough and a mars milkshake. Cookie dough was a solid baked mass and the milkshake was awful. Don’t even bother wasting your money.

I had the pleasure of visiting Sweet Box Cardiff recently, and I must say that the service provided by one of their workers was simply outstanding. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and a genuine enthusiasm for helping me find the perfect sweet treats.

They put covers of bad songs. ATLEAST PUT THE ACTUAL ARTIST YOU ARENT GONNA GET COPYRIGHTED. Ur light also doesn’t work btw.

Come here every weekend for the milkshakes and waffles.

I had a bueno white milkshake. It was soo good & the staff is really kind and friendly & their hygiene was really good.

I never had this kind of experience with desserts. I had a waffle with strawberries and nutella and a biscoff milkshake it was really delicious 😋. Staffs are really friendly 🥰

The milkshake were banging, rich and creamy! My friend and I ordered a crepe and waffle the waffle was delicious and full of sauce and flavour the toppings on the waffle was so appetising overall great place would Definitely come again

I wish I could give 0 star such a rude staff, taking ages to prepare order they talking in native language with each other's laughing , once being asked about order starts arguing me that don't come if you don't want to wait, disgusting.... Update; reply to the owner; I don't know what you talking about but keep in mind don't harass and threaten anyone give negative reviews i see everyone reviews and your threatening replies, however you can look after your stuff whos ruined your business and every reviewer had problems of bad customers service you should look after this not who I'm who I'm not.

Cardiff is a 30 minute drive from home for us, and every time me and my family come here, we are always served with the best quality desserts and customer service. Staff is always friendly, kind and helpful. We have tried the waffles, ice cream rolls (my favourite being the strawberries and nutella one), ice cream cones/cups etc and they are all always delicious! Never had a bad experience. It can get quite busy sometimes, but it is worth the wait. Would 100% recommend to everyone. If I lived in Cardiff, I would be at SweetBox every day😅

Me and my partner came here at during evening time as he wanted to go out for dessert while I wanted a bubble tea which this place had both! He had the king royale waffle which was huge! It came with ice cream and whipped cream. He also had a aero milkshake which tasted minty and delicious. I had a kiwi bubble tea and mango popping balls which was delicious and a mini melt. The only reason it is not 5 stars is because the mini melts did not come in a hat they usually come in.

I would have given it a 5 stars, but the thing that didn't want me to do that was the fact that despite having a small order it took a lot of time for it to be made for example I ordered 2 cookie doughs and was told It would take about 12 minutes I waited for more than 15 minutes and my order was still not completed then finally after about 20 minutes I received my order. This was very frustrating as there were places I had to be.

Was a regular customer to this establishment until today, thought I’d try something new today and order the Reeses freeze that they love to advertise. A huge disappointment, I took a few sips and asked politely for a refund straight away. The staff member clearly seeing that I barely drank any of it still said there was nothing he could do. Not even an exchange offered, definitely the last time I come to this place. What a shame if only the staff displayed some better customer service skills they would’ve saved a regular customer, oh well.

Ive been a regular at Sweetbox for a real long time and il always keep coming back! The kebab roll has to be my favourite and they are always so generous with toppings and sauces! Great value for money, a wide selection of dessert to choose from! Highly recommend!

I like this place, it is clean and luxury, love the ice cream especially the sundae. However, waffles are bad! I went yesterday with a group of friends and order two waffles one Strawnana and one Roucher Waffle. Both were burned from the bottom and were very hard to cut and swallow and the taste of burned waffle was very obvious! I wanted to speak to the staff but my friend didn’t let me do as even though the waffle were bad, we liked the toppings and said it could be just a bad day and it is late at night so staff could be tired from work and didn’t pay attention!

We had a range of desserts. Waffle, crepe, sundae, ice cream rolls. All of them looked and tasted amazing!

My most favourite desert place so far!! The red velvet is almost as beautiful as cotsco's, but it tasted amazing and tasted like it's homemade😍 Milkshakes are absolute heaven and my partner loved her waffle! Will be back again soon!

Being a dessert fanatic and a foodie, decided to buy cookie dough from Sweetbox. Ordered the double chocolate chip cookie dough which took around 25 minutes which was okay as the place was crowded with low staff levels. However, the excitement and wait went wasted as the cookie dough seemed like a biscuit with just a little sprinkle of chocolate sauce on top = It wasn't what it was supposed to be! I appreciate the woman in scarf and recall her telling the owner that the cookie dough is not being baked properly when it took such a wait and that it was a 'double chocolate chip cookie dough' when the chocolate sauce was being poured which infact relates that it was not served to perfection and it was disappointing that it was ignored. Customers should be served in the best way possible as they are the ones paying to keep the business alive! I like this place overall with the variety offered but this experience was disastrous. Ambience: 10/10 Hygiene: 10/10 Taste: 5/10 Quality: 5/10 Presentation: 4/10 Service: 7/10

Never again ..71 minute wait for desserts on a Sunday night ..!!? App showed driver in shop long before he got here then dearest part buieno white waffle missing so 71 minutes for a icecream and shake !!? Phoned up to be told driver must of ate it ! I hate that passing blame because they didn't put it in bag the driver got here quick on a bike so how he managed to eat a messy big waffle is pure talent according to man on phone the drivers do it all the time i suggest stapling bag then like other shops do personally not interested in excuses didnt try to solve just BLAME ANYONE EVERYTHING WONT ORDER AGAIN AND WONT RECOMMEND AS OBVIOUSLY COULDNT DO ORDER OR APOLOGISE OR GET DRINK AND ICECREAM DONE IN HOUR SHOCKING !!! Very Delicious. We went after dinner yesterday not planned to visit but we got some good scoops of ice cream. Counter staff gave us a quick service appreciated. Will visit again.

Very pretty inside and food is really nice. Sell ice creams, crepes and waffles plus more. I had the chocolate empire crepe and my family had ice creams. Also pix&mixs sweets to buy.

Ordered a Ferrero milkshake and tasted gone off. Asked for a refund or swap but the girl spoke with the owner on the phone and he wouldn’t give a refund or swap for something else. They also took the milkshake back so sat there with no dessert or milkshake. I’ve tried milkshakes from loads of other places and this was the worst around. Not worth the wait or visit. Heard what the owner is like and how his “excellent customer service” is like

This shop is so amazing. There was so many selections of different flavours and smells. The shop was so clean and the food was really tasty. Their food had so many flavours and it was overall amazing. Lovely shop you should definitely visit.

The ice cream is so great. The sweet flavours really compliment the creaminess of the cream. I would recommend tbh.

Exquisite, awesome and stunning desserts!! We had an end of term treat with the colleagues at Sweetbox, 20 of us altogether. Staff were very accommodating. Gorgeous atmosphere. Amazing feedback from everyone. They made our last day very special & memorable. Will definitely come back with the family.

The chocolate kebabs are to die for they are out of this world!! The rest of the desserts are a hit! Definitely would recommend!!!

We went to Sweetbox today for desserts, first we were absolutely amazed at the menu soo many choices available which made choosing the desserts very hard. We tried a variety of different ones. A shake, waffles, cookie dough, mochi, chocolate kebab and ice cream rolls. It was all soo scrumptious and beautifully presented we were astounded. We have tried a few other places on City Road but Sweetbox by far is the best and definitely very fairly priced, we will definitely be making lots more trips in the holidays. The staff were all very polite and friendly and nothing was to to much for them, the desserts were all served together in quick time. The decor is so cute they even have a little selfie area for beautiful snaps. Thank you so much. We will see you again very soon 😍

Not even worth a star! Decoration of outside and inside the store looked great. Me and my husband ordered two sundaes, after charging the card and accepting the order we were THEN told that the sundaes we wanted are not available, we then chose two different sundaes, and AGAIN were told those sundaes were not available. When we finally were able to get a sundae that was available (keeping in mind, we had to swap ice cream flavours because hardly any flavours were available). When the sundaes were served, the ice cream tasted like cheap corner shop ice cream, not worth £1. And we were served dirty spoons (dry old chocolate smears, and spots). My husband took the spoons and showed the woman and her response was "we are waiting for new ones to arrive, sometimes we cannot get everything off the spoons". Overall 0 stars, and will NEVER go back there.

Normally I order on just eat and the food always tastes amazing. I visited the restaurant today with my family, everyone really enjoyed the foods specially the kids and also the place look amazing, the decor and the service from the friendly staff was all top quality. Came to sweetbox spontaneously as I fancied a nice milkshake. I ordered a monster chocolate brownie shake and it was absolutely lovely. Massive portion packed with a big muffin, an oreo and lots of cream. Enjoyed every bit of it. One of the best desserts I've had in a long time and it really hit the spot. I would definitely recommend coming here. Staff were lovely and friendly.

Used to be nice years ago standard's dropped now order food by phone with like half hours notice as I know they get busy and waited forever before turns up not started are order in are order was a waffle that was just about cooked enough to hold its shape they would have known as was just soggy rung to complain sent picture that you could see was uncooked they offer in store exchange explained I didn't think fair as long way to drive back can you deliver new one out or I'll bin this and credit in my name for next order wouldn't do either avoid and go coco gelato ect instead

Very poor quality deserts, i prefer kaspas across the road.

They have alot of stuff, including a chocolate kebab but the kicker was have different flavoured cookie doughs which were so bright and colourful. I had the mint chocolate chip cookie dough, this comes with whipped cream and soft serve ice cream. Also got the chocolate brownie ice-cream. They were very generous with their portion, enough to share for sure! The cookie dough was amazing, not too minty just right. I'm glad I got the extra ice cream because the soft serve seemed a bit different to the norm. Sweet tooth satisfied!

Order 2 waffles and 2 milk shakes at 20:50. We was advised waiting time was around 25 minutes. After waiting for an hour We rang for a update at 21:50, and was told they were short staffed and we'd get our food between 10:30-11:00. We then tried to ring at 11:00 and they did not answer, so we rang on a different number and answer immediately, obviously ignoring us on the other number. We was told food was on its way, after 25 minutes it was still not here, and we was staying in a hotel 8 minutes drive away. We ended up cancelling through just eat because we wanted to go to sleep. Wouldn't bother again, ruined our night...

Ordered the 2x Easter egg cheesecake, it wasn’t even a normal size Easter egg it was just a tiny bit bigger than a Cadbury cream egg!!! Paid £15 for 2 of them & delivery, disgusted

Lovely place with lovely staff. Ordered a kinder bueno waffle and a honeycomb sundae. Good value for money. I would highly recommend this place. Thank you very much sweet box for satisfying my sweet tooth.

Ordered 2 waffles ( biscoff & white Bueno ) which although had a lot of toppings, the waffle seemed chewy and not fresh. Along with 2 skakes ( white bueno & toffee crisp ) which were really nice but at £30 all in through deliveroo, I felt robbed..

Worst customer service ever! I made an order online through uber eats and when it was delivered there was a milkshake missing. I called up to ask about it and got told there was no ice cream left to make the milkshake. They didn't call to let me know of this so I could order something else instead. I then get a call back a few minutes later saying they made my milkshake using the last of the ice cream but the delivery driver took it for herself. What a coincidence that the milkshake I ordered which was now out of stock was the one the driver decided to take (my order included 3 milkshakes). I didn't receive a single apology from them and then they decided to hang up on me instead because they couldn't explain themselves. For the dessert that was delivered, the quality was terrible. Cookie dough was hard and cold and I've had better cookie dough from asda. milkshakes were really thin and the ice cream rolls had pieces of fudge in it that were like rock. If you're looking for dessert, you've got kaspas across the road which is 10x better than this and many other dessert places on the same street that are way better.

The food is nice and prices are good. However we wanted a Reese's peanut butter cup crepe as seen on their Just Eat menu and they didn't know what we were talking about, which is strange. I think they take on too many orders, or they're just really busy, but the owner or manager was very rude to his staff, we felt bad for them and a bit uncomfortable. The rest of the staff were friendly. Again, the food is definitely good and I don't like giving a bad review but unfortunately the service is not great.

Very very rude people told me my deserts would be with me in 10 minutes, after waiting over an hour and a half I decided I didn’t want it anymore when I rang the very kind gentleman on the phone decided to tell me I was a “piss taker” and then started swearing at me down the phone! Will never order from you agian!

Apouling delivery was late but not delivery deivers fault, as the owner takes on to many orders and don't argue with my review as you have with others, u can clearly c that u r taking 2 many order and thinking of only money, stop blaming delivery, take responsibility

This is a nice little place. Although it looks small they have an amazing large menu with so much variety. The only place to do choco kebab and ice cream rolls. It’s a friendly place with great customer service. My family absolutely love their desserts. We have been a few times and tried a variety. There are six of us and always end up ordering a lot. The king royal waffle with ferrero is amazing, they use this really nice sauce with the roasted hazelnuts on top, it’s absolutely divine. The crepes are so soft, they use to put toppings on top but have recently changed to filling the crepes which has made them taste even better, yes they use actual Nutella and not a cheap substitute like some places. And the sundaes...OMG, they are huge. My daughter insisted she could finish it, oh was she wrong. Most places put two scoops of ice cream and layer it with whippy ice cream and cream, not these guys, they proper fill it with gelato and load the toppings as well. You do get cream and whippy icecream as well but it doesn’t take over the whole dessert. Last but definitely not the least, the monster shake. Seriously at that price you get more than your money’s worth. Other places do their freak shakes In the normal milkshake glasses, these guys have a freak shake in a giant glass with so much extra on the board that’s it’s a meal within its self. Defo one to try for milk shake lovers. Some people don’t actually realise this, but these guys actually stock the same gelato or ice cream as heavenly desserts in town. They are much better than kaspas across the road. These guys have a 5* star hygiene rating (kaspas has 1) which is an added bonus. It’s an local independent business which definitely has our support. We will most definitely be back again and again. Keep it up guys.

Visited this place on a Wednesday during the eat out to help out scheme with 3 friends. It was busy and they had a social distancing system so the wait was understandable and I can’t fault that. However, this 1 star review is for the quality of desserts that they serve and the awkwardness of staff (Management in particular). The ice cream is very basic compared to the other dessert places such as Kaspas, Coco Gelato and Ice Cream Passion. It tastes like the cheap ice cream you buy from a corner shop etc. The waffles and cookie dough looked depressed and I didn’t envy my friends that ordered them. Unlike the rest of your desserts, your slushies are nice and you have a nice selection of sweets. The staff were friendly but extremely awkward and were difficult to communicate with. They seemed to get confused very easily as well and do not possess basic customer service skills. Kaspas is right across the road and they have better quality desserts so you are better off going there. Also finally, the person that responds to the reviews clearly doesn’t understand how to take criticism . It is ok to not be better than your competitors, there’s no shame in that. Not everyone will be pleased with your food and service so you should just accept that and try and learn from their criticism. If you are given a 4 star review with one small criticism you should be pleased and not start ranting and confusing them with other people you clearly have issues with. Clearly management is poor and that reflects in the shop through your services.

Just go Kaspas across the road! Customer service needs improving big time and the dessert was meeh. Shows a few different teas on the menu but none of them were available and the took 45 mins for our deserts to arrive even though they were all ice cream based However the deserts did taste nice and did follow social distancing rules . They can improve with there service time

Only ever had delivery and made first order after having a bad experience elsewhere and loved it! Lovely ice creams and slush and ordered several times since then, sometimes were a few minutes late but everything was still always cold. Absolutely gutted to no longer be in Cardiff anymore but will be making sweetbox my first stop when I come back in the future.

I ordered an old school crepe I think it had marmalade inside I’m not sure but it was really nice but I’ve got to say the ice cream that was served was really tasty. My friend ordered a cookie dough pie with ice cream which she thoroughly enjoyed will definitely go back

Loved loved the rainbow crepe, ordered 4 for my nieces , sister and me. Looked pretty , tasted better! And the lovely worker forgot his name either Majid or Abdul think Abdul but he was an Indian guy so nice and friendly! Fantastic staff and desserts! ❤️

Please do not order from this place absolutely shocking service 45 mins late £18.00 later and two average sundaes came along via a taxi, I felt this was very strange and unnerving. There was a contact number but non available after ringing the mob no a few times, the customer service was terrible I will never use this place again 😤

Spent 19.00 on desserts, 2 knickerbockers, 1 x 3 scoop ice cream. All the ice creams reminded me of sorbets in texture, no creaminess or taste. The strawberries were sliced and FROZEN, mixed amoung the 'ice cream', kept biting hard pieces, was expecting fresh. The other knickerbocker should have had coffee ice cream in, again tasteless and watery, the wafer sticks in the knickerbockers were tasteless, not forgetting they arrived in smoothie containers, with lids on and not resembling knickerbockers at all. The chocolate pieces were awful and tasted like cooking chocolate, greasy on the roof of the mouth. As it was getting on i time, i didnt call back but will not order again. One star for the pleasant delivery driver.

It has been over 2 hours and we are still waiting on the desert item's! We were told each time we called (x3) a different time frame and they kept on coming up with the excuse "delivery drivers". It is now 22:06 with some of us having to go to bed now for work/educational reasons. They're now avoiding our calls. I have never received such poor service anywhere. Definitely NOT ordering from here again!

Sweet box is a decent dessert location which offers good options at a reasonable price. Located on city road, it is quite accessible and has a decent amount of sitting space. The desserts are decent at best and are the standard ones you would expect. The place is nothing special and is just a normal dessert shop. Good for a quick stop and maybe some Ice bubble tea!

Great place! I went on Friday with my family. The food and the service were amazing, it all arrived on time and I would recommend it to everyone. This will be my favourite dessert place! :)

Went on Xmas day with four friends, they were very busy but got our orders done promptly and bought everything out together. Milk chocolate cookie dough is the best I have tasted anywhere. Will be back again.

Nice friendly service. Good value for the waffle, although was served cold and quite dry (could do with more sauce). Bargain for the pick and mix tub at £2. Nice place to treat the kids.

Mediocre. I had a waffle with nutella and ice cream, was not impressed, the products taste cheap. I wouldn't recommend it, just pay £1 or £1.50 more and go to Kaspas across the road for good quality desserts
