It was my first time dining at Ziniz Bar and Restaurant and it was amazing! I came here to celebrate my 22nd birthday and I loved it! The food was presented beautifully and the food itself was tasty. The menu was really good with many different Italian classic options. The atmosphere was nice and the service was friendly but a little slow. The prices are a little high but it's understandable. I would definitely come back and I recommend it for sure! Thank you for having me ❤️

The mains and starters were good but the desserts were a little disappointing. I also feel that everything is a little overpriced - although typical for Bawtry.

We were a big party and i think the food represented that, obviously it was all delivered at the same time so i think it was pre prepared.

we visited Bawrty for the bike night and got both drinks and a pizza from Ziniz, the staff we're lovely and attentive. The pizza which we ate outside was perfect, absolutely delicious.

We need to be easy proofreading because we find it struggling to read jargon, so ask for help staff or area manager, then she explains us clear empathy words.

Visited for Lunch with my friend. Absolutely impressed by the atmosphere as well as the food. However, the staff was absolutely outstanding! Very attentive and friendly. I was pleasantly surprised and will definitely be back when my mum visits me soon! Can’t wait!

I held an event at Ziniz and it was just stunning from start to finish. The staff were incredible attentive, so professional and our afternoon tea was gorgeous. We will most definitely return. Thanks to Carly, Chris and Rocco in particular - they were absolutely wonderful.

Booked on the Wednesday for a Saturday night 50th birthday celebration for a party of 12 they sent us a pre order link and all guests ordered what they wanted and I submitted the order to the venue …. I was called Friday evening at 5pm by Karla to say the guests hadn’t all ordered a main course and at £330 we hadn’t spent enough to have the table even tho I explained people who didn’t fancy eating a 3 course meal would be spending plenty on drinks this all went on deaf ears as she said if it was a problem after speaking with the management she would let me know !! I explained we would have nowhere to go at this short notice and I wouldn’t be happy … at this point if she cancelled the booking, at this point she turned very nasty and slammed the phone down on me !! My partner called the restaurant back as she was panicking we didn’t have a venue … She said she would have to move us into the front of the bar where people was drinking now as we hadnt ordered enough food … and again she was very rude ! We turned up and had the food and the staff was not welcoming at all and to top it off the total bill came to £630 inc champagne we bought ! I’m completely fine with establishments having rules such as all 12 guests must order a main course (8 people ordered one in our party ) but just tell guests what the rules are before trying to enforce them and you may not get reviews like this anymore ! The last penny we spend in Zinniz Bawtry they don’t deserve people going in and the staff that speak to you on the phone are rude and disrespectful !

Hidden beer garden is great in the summer, also great in the winter months when the heat lamps are in use. When family or friends visit we often go for a drink, it's a nice atmosphere

Best place to eat in Bawtry & Doncaster! Rocco was incredibly attentive to us throughout the meal and was a credit to the venue. The menu is fabulous and has something for everyone. Definitely one to try

My daughters birthday 2/4/24 12 people eating her husband paid £700 service wasnt good we ate our mains then they came round with desert menu 4 people ordered as we got them they were told to eat then as soon as possible as people were waiting for table “ at one point they took one of thee deserts of the table while she was eating it 😡disgraceful ‘the food was good service the worse .

Visited for the first time on 29/02/2024 I must say I can’t fault A thing the food was fabulous the staff friendly and helpful. I must say it’s the best Italian I’ve visited outside Italy.

Absolutely disgusting. My daughter had her 30 er.food was disgusting way over priced everyone complained.people was overcharged an had to get refund.fish over cooked reheated. Sauces no flavour had to be returned. £40 a prosseco bottle seriously. Never ever to return. Lost a lot of custom.

Disappointed 😞 starters were good so we were hopeful...two of us ordered rib eye, £35 on the bone. Asked for it to be cooked medium because that's how it should be cooked, to allow the fat to render. After a very long wait, which wasn't too bad because there was 11 of us to keep each other entertained, the food arrived. On appearance the steak looked amazing, however when we cut into it, it was rare and my sons was practically blue, to the point he couldn't eat so he sent it back. I decided I'd try and eat mine but I couldn't get past a few mouthfuls because it took too long to chew! At the end of the meal, we complained about the steaks and they knocked one off the bill. To be honest I'd rather it had come cooked to order, I'd never spend £35 on a steak but thought I'd treat myself, gutted I didn't get to enjoy my meal.

I just had a takeaway pizza , it was really good test.

Popped in here on the way home from our family holiday. Located in a very nice small town it has an excellent menu and the food was amazing. Definitely the best ragu sauce I’ve ever tasted. So glad we found this place and I would go out my way to return.

Just been for an evening meal for my daughters 15th and it was delicious. The food and service were fantastic. The staff even brought two cannolis with a candle for my daughter as it was her birthday - such unexpected attention to detail made the evening even more special. Thank you. We will definitely come again for a special occasion.

Very poor service. 20 minutes before drinks order taken. Further wait before food order taken. Over 90 minutes before mains appeared. Dessert menu didn't arrive when requested so left after waiting 20 minutes. Complained about state of toilets. Soap dispenser hanging off wall and urine over floor. No apologies from staff when mentioned. Very disappointed indeed.

I had a Minestrone that was made from what looked like a local frozen veg mix, with a bit of tomato and some pasta, without any trace of herbs or spices, let alone Italian in it. Tasteless. They also charged £8.50 for it, in the menu it's £6.25. My second course was the 'Artisan Ravioli'. The name suggests they have to be 'home made', the waiter 'thought 'they were. But no, the pasta was shop bought, they were stuffed with some tasteless paste, served with killed spinach and bland tomato mass. As I refused to eat it, they didn't charge for it, at least. Staff were unprofessional, they don't know their dishes. Service charge added, really? Nice courtyard though

Me and the wife **Child Free 🆓** stopped here for dinner 🍽️ the menu was really good with lots of different Italian classic options! The food tasted great 😋 Staff were friendly and the service was quick. Plenty of parking 🅿️ available at the front of the restaurant / Bar, but it's paid parking. And can get busy on a Saturday. We went on Sunday around 4pm and there were plenty of spaces. £2 parking fee. All in all a very good experience! Thanks for looking after us ❤️

What can one say. Haven't been to Ziniz for a few years, and can safely say that it's as good as I remember. Although it was busy due to being Mothers Day, service was up to the standard expected for the price paid. My daughter, daughter-in-law, grandchildren wife and myself thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Staff are exceptionally polite, food ( freshly prepared ) is of superb quality and is as good as anything we've tasted in Italy. It's obvious that this restaurant sources produce from high end suppliers. Can thoroughly recommend. You won't be disappointed.

Really rude on arrival we where late as we got stuck in traffic on the moterway as there had been a accident The manager said we had been put down as a no show We was then told that we wouldn’t be able to order starters only a main ! We often go to this restaurant but felt really in welcome will not be visiting again Food is average and the service not great

The food was excellent, and so was the service once the staff had been prompted to take our order. Rather pricey, but then you get what you pay for. Fortunately on this occasion, it was my step son's treat for his mum's special birthday. Thanks vmuch 👍

Been in tonight, hoping to stay, absolutely freezing in there, no heating on, had to leave after only one drink. Ridiculous when it's so cold outside, never again.

As an Italian descendant and former head chef I don't often choose to visit 'Italians'. I'm so glad I did this time. Ziniz is a special Italian restaurant and by far the closest thing to real Italian I've had in Britain...it is a real italian. The menu is brilliant and contains a remarkably wide variety of real Italian items, you've got duck and boar (popular in Tuscany), lobster which is famous on the west coast, fresh and herby risottos reminiscent of the Apennines etc. The lobster, crab and shrimp pasta was actually a bit of a moment for me. You know when you eat something so good that you slow down and think about every flavour? I was smiling so much my jaw started to ache. Yeah that's this place, happy and delicious. Definitely the best pasta I've had in a quarter of a century. I have to go back 26 years to the last time I had pasta this good, hand made by my Nona. I heard the rave reviews and for some reason I put off a visit my entire adult life....I regret that now and I can't wait to go back. It's a 2 hour round trip and it's easily worth it. The food is well priced. This is fine dining and you'll be waited, served and pay appropriately. We had a cocktail, starter and main each, some breads and a good quality wine and cocktail. All in we just hit £100. But it's the best meal out I've had in a seriously long while and I think crazy value. I've paid double elsewhere for this quality. I really can't recommend it enough. If you want to dress up and go out for a nice meal, try Ziniz. Plus the cocktails are awesome, my girlfriend loved The Unicorn. Grazie, molto bene.

Found it over priced and no atmosphere

Nice food, good venue. Bit on the pricey side ,but that's the going rate for meals these days. Wife,me and toddler had boar pasta and a veggy risotto, with mixed breads starter.

A pretty average Italian badged as upmarket. The only real positive were the staff; we were attended to very promptly and politely and considering the size of the group it felt organised and professional. The food varied massively. The fresh pasta and the sauces we're good, although small and very little duck could be found in my duck pasta. The seafood in the risotto was overcooked and the desserts were uninspiring. My Panna cotta was actually hard. The most unfortunate thing was the price;£17 for a small bowl of pasta is terrible, considering it's in the north and outside a city. To sum up, this place was disappointing.

Amazing food and excellent service.

What a wonderful wedding at Zinzi everything organised by Alex Julie and Claudia for my son and daughter in law! They did all the table decorations and settings! The 3 course meal was amazing and the drinks that came with it! The service was also excellent! Me and our family can not thank you enough and highly recommended your restaurant for the prefect venue for celebrations

Great food, great outside space, great atmosphere.

Before I could ask for a jug of iced water, the waitress asked if we would like water ,my partner said yes so we then drank bottled water all evening . Ordered exquisite sounding food . Infact when we ordered the waitress quoted the Italian name off the menu My fancy named starter was. Quite hard fingers of cheese with spaghetti and a very basic sauce . (The one I assume is in most meals) My parner had Sausage in the same bland sauce on spaghetti ( so much the same as mine , but with sausage . Mains , I ordered flattened dry tasteless chicken . Which the menu described as something special. With spaghetti and more bland same sauce . My partner had risotto which I find bland anyway. But it was really bland . Was offered no parmisan cheese to disguise the meal. Give it some taste . All in all , never had such a boring overpriced meal in my life . Was expecting something special , or at least not dried and bland

Birthday lunch with a friend, a second dinning experience which was sadly a little disappointing due to our very dry , tasteless calamari starter.

SO impressed!! It was absolutely fantastic, from the very first enquiry to the very last minute, everything was just perfect. The staff honestly went above & behind to help me. From the moment I arrived they helped me carry my bags (I had a few decorations) to our table. Parking was great too, there’s plenty of space. I literally parked right outside the door which was a bonus for getting the balloons out of the car on a windy day. They cater for everyone, they take allergies and food intolerances incredibly serious. There was 11 of us in total and each one of us enjoyed their meal, we all had different options! The pizzas looked amazing, the pasta dishes looked delicious and my risotto was the best I’ve had. Every staff member was attentive, polite, friendly & super helpful. The menu may be ‘pricey’ (other peoples quotes) but the quality of the food really justifies the cost. I actually travelled for 1 hour to celebrate my friends special occasion here and I would definitely come back! Such a pretty little town too. Thank you to everyone at Ziniz, we all had the best time and you were all amazing.

I give this 1 star because me and my family came here and my mom and brother ordered a pizza and it said it had a ham ,somthing like Parma ham, and it looked and tasted like thinly sliced spam. I had the muscles and only about 5 had actual muscles in it and the rest were empty. My dad had a meatball pizza and there was hardly any cheese and little bits of dried, cooked, cold beef on it with barley any cheese and the amount of this just a few drinks and some food no starters or dessert and it was over priced. I’m sorry but this was our experience with you.

Lovely food, really enjoyed the main course in particular. Formal dining here but enjoyable, decent service. Pricey but food quality worth it. Could easily manage three courses here. Staff were attentive and polite. Only slight negative was it was very noisy when we were in but it was a Saturday night so to be expected close to the bar area.

The food and service were excellent but one really disappointing and sub standard service was the complete lack of a disabled toilet on ground level. I had to walk through part of the kitchen where a young man was emptying the dishwasher. The toilet was tiny and was obviously the kitchen staff toilet. Surely this is wrong?

Our experience was mediocre, great atmosphere. There were 4 of us, 3 of them were ok. I thought the food was over rated for the price. Mine was a burger which was overcooked and dry. The other was beef which was well cooked and the mash had a weird taste. I wouldn't rush to go back...

Had a great meal for a recent birthday- between us we had Salmon Risotto, Braised Beef, Pork Fillet Medallions as main courses plus various starters and drinks- came to £127 Inc 10% service. So, not cheap but all of it was excellent. For those driving there's plenty of car park space literally a few yards away.

Discusting customer service made a reservation for a table for a special occasion to only get cancelled at last minute and apparently no records of it yet I have email confirmation and paid £30 deposit

Had a meal at Ziniz with my husband for my 50th. Three course meal, Bolly, wine, coffee and liqueurs. Came to about £260, but worth every penny! Attentive staff, amazing food and an evening to remember!
