Scarbrough Arms in Doncaster

A true gem of a traditional English pub! The warm and cozy atmosphere, complete with wooden beams, makes it the perfect spot to unwind. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the selection of ales and ciders was fantastic. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this pub is a must-visit for an authentic and welcoming experience!

They don’t serve food but allow us to park in our motorhome . We had a very good Chinese from China Town, down the road.

Enjoyed a lovely pint of cold Coors last Thursday evening. Greek food available from the van outside which can be consumed in the pub.

It is slightly pricey, but it is Tickhill afterall. £18 on 3 pints of coke. Great service, friendly staff. As other reviewers have stated, not kid friendly. If you're with mates, alone or going as a couple, it's a great Traditional pub. Wish it could have been a better review. MeatCastles were present to serve some amazing burgers 🍔 food is served by third-party businesses, they're food was bang on.

Ramblers were in,fellas, good chat,good beer .Went in back room,right good bar,more banter,nice visit.There will be more visits in future.

Ignore the low ratings ... they are probably from Barnsley!! There is nothing wrong with this pub, it's workers or the food. They even cooked us a piece of chicken for our dog. What a gem of a find on our weekend here

When the sun shines there is no better pub to sit outside and enjoy a drink. The John Smiths cask I really can recommend. The spitfire was really nice today and the Pheasant, I think it was, pale ale. Why does beer always taste better outside in the sun?

Decent traditional village pub, they have some wonderful food outlets that come through the week and park in the front of pub carpark...Pizza, Greek, Burgers and other pop up food stands. Decent traditional ales and good prices 👍 plenty of space to park, large car park..Nice area to sit out when it's sunny on a summers day. Nice friendly staff and all round Decent village pub 👌 👍

Best pint of John Smith's for miles.try the warm pork scratchings amazing.i can't comment on the food as only stopped for a pint on way home from fishing.

We visited this amazing pub, walked from a little bistro cafe and beer was not good, the Scarborough Arms is amazing and the pop up food is grand, beers I would pay more for, because the quality was grand

Extremely poor service and with attitude Once upon a time, the service was efficient and welcoming. Jog on to the Carpenter's Arms just round corner for a warm welcome and service.

A great local pub serving a good variety of beverages. Good keeper of draft real ales, a guest ale, and weekly visits of artisan pizza/gyros catering vans, pub garden.

Nice friendly traditional styled pub. The bar is divided nicely into main area, saloon and snug. Dog friendly, which is a bonus. Nice garden area both having grass and hard standing area. Big car park and food wagons on different nights midweek - not sure about the weekends. Quiz nights can be fun, especially in the winter. In all a nice pub to visit

Fire not lit, despite the frost outside. Red wine served ice cold. Toilets stink & look disgusting. Time for some care and upgrading ?

Love this place. Especially good on the nights when the Pizza horsebox is there!! Fantastic pizzas. Nothing finer than sitting outside in the sun with a glass of something cold and a delicious, fresh, handmade pizza in ya hand. A little piece of heaven on earth!!!

Good pub don't water the beer down and nice size beer garden we order pizza from Tickhill grill and have it delivered to the beer garden.

Sat in their green outdoor space having a couple of pints during covid lockdown...reasonable selection of guest beers...overall OK...

Had a lovely walk round Tickhill, then I to Scarbrough Arms. Had a very welcome glass of wine in a lovely atmosphere. Very friendly place.

Proper pub with a good selection of cask ales and lagers; most importantly got Timothy Taylor's on regular. I enjoy trying out the guest ales they have in new each week, and all booze is reasonably priced I reckon. Quiz takes place on Mondays (I think Thursdays too) in the lounge. There's also a barrel room and tap room where I spend most of me time as they've still a dartboard up. Bogs are a bit grim but is expected for a pub, though the gents in the lounge have a right stiff door that could do with a spot of oil on hinges. The beer garden is well kept and makes a proper good spot for a cold pint on an hot day. No complaints here; definitely my go-to pub in Tickhill.
