Ziggy's Cafe Bar in Blackpool

We managed to find this wonderful cafe while visiting Blackpool. Its such a lovely cosy small cafe. I ordered the home made Broccoli and Mascarpone Soup, it was delicious. I have since tried to make it myself but cannot capture the flavour of theirs. My husband ordered Pea and Ham soup which again was delicious. For our mains I ordered homemade Chicken Goujons and my husband had Beef Chilli. Very reasonably priced for such fresh home made food. I highly recommend a visit.

Best and most reasonable breakfast in town . Quality ingredients too . Highly recommend. Nice interior dedicated to David Bowie . Memorabilia and photos on the walls . Cool vibe .

Wow what a recommendation!! This place totally met our expectations and more! Food, surroundings, service and staff all first class. So good we went back the next day! A very well presented and thought out place with home cooked food and home made cakes, jams and chutneys too!

Originally a 5, although for £7.50 we only got 3 small goujons with chips. Apart from that Just a really nice cafe with lots of David Bowie posters, pictures and memorabilia around the cafe, great for a bowie fan but also great just for a nice cafe. Really nice ice cream sundae and hot chocolate. Prices are really reasonable, £3.25 for a sundae and a lovely deluxe hot chocolate. Rlly nice and in a decent place in Blackpool as well.

It was a lovely afternoon and the outdoor seating looked welcoming. I took a table with my mum. It wasn’t busy and this table had the previous customer’s cups and ash tray. The waitress came out from the cafe twice to serve tables. She didn’t take debris from ours (it wasn’t busy). We waited and waited for someone to either bring a menu or greet us with some helpful information - nothing. I then noticed a sign in the cafe window saying ‘order at the counter’. Then I proceeded to find a menu from an inside table and noticed 3 members of staff behind the counter chatting. We looked at the menu I had taken and I made my choice. My mum went in to order and was told that there was no chicken (I was hoping for a chicken and bacon salad) and that they were closing soon. That was it. Enough. We nipped down the road to Number 5 where everything we needed was there on the table. We ordered a lovely lunch and we’re best pleased with our second choice. First impressions count.

Great find in a lovely square in the centre of Blackpool. Lovely menu and superb food. My only advice would be that you take orders from customers sat outside instead of asking them to come inside to order.

Heard from word of mouth about this wee cafe so we tried it out! Absolutely brilliant in every sense, great food, service, comfy seats, relaxed quiet atmosphere and they are very friendly. They accomdate for people with a gluten intolerance which was important to us. One waitress even remembered I liked my bacon crispy and came over and asked if I'd like it that way again. Top notch. It's a great wee cafe with great prices and food to match! Make this your first choice to visit for breakfast for a great start to the day, brilliant.

Went for lunch with husband on a very hot Friday, husband had cheese/tomato omelette which he said was delicious, I had big sandwich board which was outstanding, loads of ham. Food was very fresh and presentation was also very nice. Prices were also great. We sat outside under parasol and at first I was nervous about seagulls but can say not one came near whilst we were eating, I also noticed tables were quickly cleared when meals were finished. Only downside there was no disabled toilet and there is step to get inside cafe and as a wheelchair user I had to go find a disabled loo. Would still highly recommend and will definitely return.

My partner Sarah identified Ziggy's as a potential venue for a proper breakfast and safe to say she was very correct, no drama's in ordering the meal pleasant lady took our order and we sat in a tranquil environment without any pressure the drinks arrived then subsequently the brekky Sharon(part owner) left us to eat the meal without any annoying 'are you ok? everything ok?' We both finished it and Sarah had a veggie brekky so slightly different from a normal order however no problem. If I personally was to moan about was no black pudding on the brekky and the coffee for myself was slightly stronger than I prefer only my opinion and if anyone is still reading this Sharon n Baz ultimately professional along with a member of staff who I believe is the daughter.. Please give this establishment a looksee I am grumpy normally however regarding Ziggy's personal preference isn't another opinions views.. Thanks again

Found this lovely cafe by accident last when we called for a coffee last week and decided to try a meal this time. We noticed on the board outside chilli and nachos with a beer for £8.50 so both ordered that. The portions were huge, we could have shared one, the chilli was lovely not too spicy and the beer was nice and cold. We sat outside in the sun it was lovely, we will certainly be going back.

Really nice cafe with drinks, where we spent a lazy sunny afternoon sat in the sunshine overlooking the square. Great service, clean, friendly. Very reasonably priced.

It seems so simple sometimes to think you can go out and get a breakfast or a sandwich. Lets face it doesn't seem that difficult BUT so many places get it wrong. Well not here! Ziggys although a small cafe has got the formula spot on. Great produce, freshly cooked, great value and welcoming staff, what's not to like! And for those that want to reminisce about the past and recall David Bowie there's pop memorabilia on the walls and you can listen to some of his famous tunes whilst you dine. Then take a look at Ziggy's you won't be disappointed.

Been here before, and we will be back again, we came for breakfast yesterday, and had the breakfast deal for 2 £11 and you get a lot for your money, and it was delicious! Service with a smile, very clean! Tables in and outside. And complying with the social distancing regs!

We come here regularly as a family and also as a couple. Always super friendly staff. Food is always to a high standard and tastes amazing. Whether it's for breakfast or lunch everything we've tried has been yummy. Would highly recommend!

Came here for breakfast and it looked nice and well decorated on the inside. Staff were very friendly and clearly love there job which is great! Food was nice, what got it for me was we waited 30 minutes for our coffees, I understand food is cooked to order so will take longer but maybe don’t take 30 mins to bring the coffees, but I will return again

Two of us had the deluxe afternoon tea, there was 3 different types of cake, a scone & gingerbread man each, plus delicious sandwiches & chips. The food was absolutely delicious. Make sure you book because it was busy.

One of the nicest 'full-English' breakfasts in town! Freshly cooked with a lovely twist of a pancake and maple syrup too. Many other options available too. St. John's Square is a little hidden gem with a row of great cafés and sun trap - mainly locals - so keep it to yourself!

Called in for lunch during a day visit. The food and drink was freshly prepared and of a very high standard. The omelette was divine, and the sandwiches were delicious! Very clean, smart and reasonably priced. Highly recommended!

We saw a Facebook post by Blackpool Bid (I think) and it showed some amazing Biscoff pancakes which I thought my son might like.We decided to go and give it a go, we were not disappointed at all.The pancakes according to my son were better than he has ever had before, my husband and daughter all agreed with that.I had the french toast with some added bacon which was to die for. Reasonable prices and great portions served in clean and welcoming surroundings.We will be back

I came here with my mum on a sunny Sunday afternoon. I have coeliac disease so finding places to eat can be quite difficult, however when we asked about gluten free options, we were told about all the different choices which all sounded lovely, I decided to have an omelette which was really tasty and filling. My mum had an all day breakfast and loved every bit! She was especially a big fan of the American style pancake with maple sauce which came with it.We were both shocked and impressed with the price of our meal, with it only coming to just under £12 for the both of us!Highly recommend for anyone who is gluten free!!

Me and my besties had breakfast here on Friday and we absolutely loved it! I had poached eggs on toast and they were perfect! We were all really happy with the service, the atmosphere and the food! And its SO affordable too! 5 Stars!

I'd call this a 'posh' cafe, a cut above the rest for decor and friendliness, how they serve such good food for the price they charge is unbelievable, this is definitely our go to cafe in Blackpool as of now. The menu has enough variety to keep anyone happy, and the cakes look delicious.

Meeting with some friends for breakfast and we fancied somewhere different. I'm a local in Blackpool but never heard of Ziggys before finding it on TripAdvisor and given the reviews we had to try it. I must half walked past this place a million times and never noticed it's there!First impressions were really good, a friendly welcome, place was neat and tidy also I loved the Bowie pictures on the walls:)I opted (as did my friends) for a full breakfast which was delicious! 2 slices of toast, bacon, sausage, egg, beans, mushrooms, tomato- even a pancake! And they bring you a little jar or syrup. I love a pancake and it was really nice to have the best of both works on my plate. A latte to accompany my breakfast which was also lovely. The meal cost me £7.25 (ish/I think) and would happily return and pay that for what I had. A true little gem I'm only sorry I didnt discover this place earlier!

Me and my boyfriend have visited here a couple of times now and love it! The food is amazing and lots of it is home cooked (as well as being a very good price). The place itself is very cool and very clean! Lovely staff and I would 100% recommend going and trying out this lovely little place.

We were in holiday and were recommended to try another restaurant nearby, this however was full and the staff seemed disinterested. So we walked a few yards and discovered Ziggys, what a find!We were greeted by (I presume the owner) who was very polite and helpful.The food was excellent, my wife had a jacket potato with tuna and I had home cooked ham and eggs. Both meals were excellent and we would recommend this lovely, friendly restaurant to anyone who enjoys good, home cooked food served by lovely people who enjoy their work.Thank you, we will see you next year!

Visited this establishment Sunday 10th November with my family having read some reviews as we decided to try it as we didn’t fancy fish n chips. We certainly was not disappointed arrived about 2pm and it was not too busy two of us ordered the ploughman’s platter and it was huge and I had.cooked ham,chips and 2 eggs and somebody had a jacket potato and 4 drinks the total bill came to £29.95 it is a good price considering the size of the portions. I will definitely visit again when next in Blackpool.

We travelled a fair distance for a short illuminations break in Blackpool. Took our children here specifically for the picnic benches I’d seen on TA and none of us were disappointed! Our sandwiches were spot on too. Did have a longer than average wait but it’s was all freshly made to order and beautifully presented so certainly worth it! A lovely, friendly lady served us. Will be returning next time we visit and would definitely recommend to others.
