Always made welcome, food is amazing, staff are lovely. Friends travel from north and South to eat here and then travel home. It’s a must try if you haven’t already!

After arriving in the area, and following a bad experience the night before I decided to search for a good restaurant on Tripadvisor. I decided that Turkish could be the way forward for the night and drove the short distance to the restaurant. I was seated and a very attentive Waitress came and took my food and drink order after a short time. When the food arrived it was extremely good (and quite quick) the cheese stuffed peppers starter was awesome but in reality they didn’t taste as good as the lamb chop main course! The only improvement I would suggest would be a small amount of sauce for the rice as standard (the lack of sauce took the meal from 10 out of 10 to a 9.8 so not a big issue.

Read positive reviews on Zigana and decided to give it a try. We had the chicken wings and mixed platter combo of lamb and mince chicken. Both came with salad, rice and bread. They were generous portions and delicious. Salad was fresh and went well with the dishes. The meat was cooked over charcoal and you can tell they have been well marinated. Lamb was tender. The chicken wings are recommended. Full of flavour. Thank you.

As ever, delicious, freshly prepared food and good friendly service. My only niggle us that they didn't have any non-alcoholic beers and they didn't have any sugar free soft drinks without caffeine, leaving our only option being water.

Pre booked a table for 4 starters came after 15 min not a problem. Then waited over a hour for the mains. Food was lovely. But the service was terrible. When we complain was told by the manger well you choose to come hear . Very poor customer service .

DO NOT VISIT Food was lovely. However we waited nearly 2 hours for food. When we brought this up, the Owners reply was ‘well you chose to come here’ unfortunate as the food was quite nice but the attitude of that staff and the owner was shocking. He then started getting aggressive when we asked for discount after waiting for Nearly 2 hours WILL NOT RETRUN. MANAGERS ATTITUDE IS AWFUL

Food was brilliant, service was beyond terrible! Waited over we 1.5 hours! The owner/ manger was absolutely awful and after waiting 1.5 hours and complaining the manger/owners words were “ well you chose to come here”food is good but I don’t not recommend!!!!!

Delicious food and very nice staff. An excellent choice of dishes on the menu and great cold beer. We always enjoy dinner here, highly recommend.

The food was lovely and plentiful but the restaurant was freezing. We went when it was -2 outside and there was some heating on but it was set very low. We asked for it to be turned up but was told it was at its maximum so we sat with our coats on the whole time. So did a lot of the other diners. The waitress came over and said ‘there is a warm table at the back but it’s been booked’ can’t understand why she said that!

We went to this venue to celebrate my 65 birthday we were very pleased with the food & the service provided. The restaurant is very clean & nicely decorated you can see where the food is being prepared as the kitchen is at the front.

Mediterranean starters and a basket of fresh flat bread warmed over a charcoal grill areall excellent. Mains include BBQ grilled Sea Bass when available and lamb chops with salad and rice are a staple favourite. Good value and filling proportions make this a must try experience.

Olives as a starter and delicious Sea Bass cooked on the bone over charcoal served with salad and rice. Good choice of Turkish wines and beers. Looking forward to returning next week to try the Shish and Kofte dishes.

Have been wanting to visit but under circumstances not possible. Decided to try this as a takeaway and was pleasantly surprised. Big portions perfectly cooked and very tasty!

We tried Zigana a few weeks ago after hearing some good reviews and we were not disappointed!! Great service, value for money and taste! Very happy I could find something dairy free that was just as tasty. We’ve been back multiple times as it’s massive portions and enough left overs for lunch the next day. Service is always quick and professional. I was very impressed with how much food we got for what we paid!! Also, as much as it’s a takeaway it’s not salty and doesn’t makes you feel gross the next day! Have recommended to lots of friends x

We order takeaway from here on a regular basis. The food quality is phenomenal, the portion sizes are VERY generous and the staff are always lovely. Overall, great value for money and we will be ordering again soon!

Visited for the first time tonight and ordered a chicken kebab. It came with slices of cut pitta on the side which was annoying as expected it to be meat inside a pitta. It also came with rice and some grilled veg. The chicken was lovely tender meat all good quality. Had a side order of Turkish Baklava which was also nice.Highly recommended.

Amazing food and great value, which in turn means you will have a long wait if you dont book well in advance, website says 20 mins but you're looking at an hour plus! Worth the wait as the food is super fresh, tasty and authentic. Can't fault any of the dishes we have tried so far.

Went here for our anniversary last year. Had a mixed mezze platter. Waitress was helpful advising us how much to order as it was our first time there. Middle Eastern food is great value, and a very interesting selection for me as a vegetarian.

I've been going to Ziganas for some time now and it is my favourite restaurant and takeaway.Unfortunately, Covid-19 stopped the restaurant from re-opening for now, as it is quite small. It wouldn't be financially viable. So it's takeaway only for now, no delivery service.I'm vegan. They are able to adjust some dishes for me - not use cheese and cream etc. The hot food is all cooked fresh to order. The kitchen area is on view, so you can watch whilst waiting. You get free Turkish bread, which is delicious with hummous. Even when I dined in the restaurant, I always bought some of their cold foods in the display cabinet - stuffed vine leaves, mixed olives, salad etc for the following day.I highly recommend the falafel wraps. Large, stuffed with warm falafel and lots of salad - a meal in itself.My favourite hot dish is the 'Vegetarian Guvec' minus the cream and cheese. It consists of peppers, aubergine, courgettes, mushrooms, garlic in a tomato sauce. Absolutely delicious.Thank you guys for your wonderful Turkish food and service. See you soon.

We've again celebrated another special occasion by ordering from Zigana. This time a Mixed Platter for 2-3 people. It was a treat. Everything was excuisite, delicious, an very big portions. I'm sure we'll eat two days from these without any issues. All the meats were very well cooked. The 4 mezzes included were fresh and tasty. Definitely it's our pick whenever we have an occasion to celebrate or a guest coming by. Good job.

What a treat in these difficult days to still be able get the super fresh, delicious food from Zigana’s. Offering a well organised take away service the food was just as good as the many times we have eaten in. Their servings are generous and the meat portions huge. Their flavours are so authentic and service is prompt and friendly. Thank you so much for going to the trouble of reorganising your whole restaurant in order to safely provide the takeaway service and thank you as ever, for a really satisfying and tasty dinner. We can’t wait until we can eat in again.

Popped in on a Monday lunchtime , place was not busy so obviously got seated quickly . Menu is very good and extensive for all tastes . Our meal came with side salad , and dip and bread . Meat was cooked nicely , rice perfect and overal quality was excellent. Starter and main coarse and can if drink was around £19 but filled me up . Would go back again in an instant (except I think MP Boris has shut it down whilst virus takes over )

Great fresh kebabs. No wonder this place is popular and always full. Will definitely come back again. Reminds me of the food i had on my trip to turkey. One criticism is that diet coke is not the same as coke zero.

Came here on a trip to the Donkey Sanctuary. Food was good, service good. Was quite busy considering it was lunch time. Got a complimentary dessert which was a nice touch.

Popped in when working away from home. I was lucky to get a table and recommend booking if you want to be sure. Warm and friendly staff and enjoyed a very tasty veggie dish. I'll try a kebab next time as they also looked mouth wateringly delicious.

Had dinner here this evening (Monday) the restaurant was full and buzzing . The service was fast and efficient and very polite . The food was just amazing we had the hot starter platter followed by the mixed meat there was not a bad thing on the plate . We travel to northern Cyprus a lot and this restaurant is every bit as good as the best there . Thanks for a great meal will be returning very soon.

Got lucky and managed to book on the evening to squeeze in between the usual 6 and 8pm sittings on Friday night thanks to the help of Inma. Food was served quickly and absolutely delicious in very generous portions! Staff were wonderful, in particular Inma who checked in on us and made sure we had everything we needed. 2 people eating with a couple of starters, main and drinks was under £35, so very good value for money too. Restaurant is very pleasant place to be as well.

2nd time I've been to here but not for some time. Popped in (no booking) on a Saturday lunch time and was first in (roughly 12.30). After, 6 other diners came (1x2 and 1x4) and 3 for takeaway. But in January on a miserable day (weather-wise) I guess it is no surprise.

I've been going here for a few months. I'm ill and disabled. But the food and staff are wonderful. I'm always made welcomed and to feel at home.

Took a work colleague who had previously only done a takaway kebab. This was such a good meal, the staff advised what was good for a 1st try. It gets busy so always book ahead. Also as they are busy it can get a bit noisy. Worth putting up with as the food is great

I love Turkish cuisine and every place I visit I look for a Turkish restaurant. It was recommended to me and I had the pleasure to visit few days ago lunch time.

Ziganas prove that if you get the formula right then you can produce excellent simple food at the right price. Bbq chicken and lamb, amazing rice and bread to die for all with a very high level of service. What is not to love?

Popped in while awaiting a train from Didcot. Was very busy but they went out of their way to accommodate us. Food was delicious and the staff were really helpful.

We love this restaurant, its good value, the food is great, straight forward but good Turkish food is and served by nice friendly people. Thats why it is always well booked up so best to ring them in good time if you want to get in there.

Me and my wife had a takeaway today from Zigana,we called one hour before collection as they don't deliver. We had to call again just to let them know that we will be late due to traffic and to delay the collection for another 15-20 minutes. There was no issue, the food was still hot. We had Yogurtlu Chicken Shish and a Trio with Lamb shish, chicken shish and Adana. All these came with a good size portion of rice each, two salads, 8 pieces of Turkish bread, two white sauces and two spicy ones. They were fantastic, fresh, tasty and a lot of food for two people. We definitely recommend it and we will come back, maybe next time in the restaurant.

The food is very tasty (you have to try ezme, not only the meat) and the prices are reasonable. The service is very professional and the place is nicely decorated. Highly recommended, especially for family dinners.

We're regular visitors to Didcot so not quite sure why it took us so long to visit Zigana! Great food and excellent service, all at very reasonable prices.We booked in advance on this occasion and are glad we did as it was absolutely packed. We'll definitely be booking again though! Called up and collected 20 minutes later. Super fresh salad, great tasting falafel and the Guvec was amazing. Can't fault it. Good prices too. Definitely going to work my way through the menu!

I very rarely give 10 out of 10. This restaurant is the best food for miles, it is not just a ordinary Kebab! Service is fantastic and the food is just brilliant. Absolutely gorgeous food. We had the mixed platter which was more than enough for four. Breads, salads, sauces and four mezzes accompanied the main platter of various kebabs. All cooked to perfection on the bbq grill. Staff were very friendly and bill was around 45 quid with 4 soft drinks - an absolute bargain! The restaurant itself was casual but very nice. Brick walls, water feature etc, and very clean.

A couple of months ago, i just happened to be wandering in the area and saw this restaurant packed out in the early evening, always a good sign especially when you don't know the area too well.

A genuine Turkish restaurant and grill in sunny Didcot...? No way! Yes way! This amazing restaurant is superb for grilled chicken and lamb and veggie skewers, buttery rice, crispy felafels and hummus. The staff are super friendly and warm hosts. A great little place.

A group from work visited Zigana mid-week and, as usual, the food, the drinks and the service were all top notch. The Turkish bottled beer (labelled Draft!) is good, with the choice of starters and mains all cooked freshly in the grill/kitchen close to the entrance. I can thoroughly recommend the large choice of Turkish starters which you can mix & match, and it’s good to see that they offer so much more than kebabs - though theirs are GOOD! All-in-all a great evening.

We regularly order take aways from Ziganas, the food is always super fresh and absolutely delicious. The staff have always been very friendly and welcoming.

This is the best restaurant in Didcot. The food is exceptional and the service brilliant. The flavours from the food are so well balanced and everything we had was cooked to perfection. The staff were great and took time to explain the menu so you had a good understanding of what to expect if you hadn't been before.

We went to Zigana on a busy and hot Friday night as a party of 8. Food was excellent and fresh, the mezzes weren’t my cup of tea but the rest of the table enjoyed. We shared 2 family platters between the 8 of us with appetisers which was plenty of food!

This was the second time we have eaten here, I meant to review after my first visit but didn’t get round to it. This place is great, the food is delicious, something which happens rarely anymore. Portion sizes are good and you don’t come away hungry. The barbecue dishes are flavoursome, spiced to add flavour but not hot and perfectly cooked. The other special dishes are again full of flavour and cooked to perfection. Staff are very helpful and friendly. A fantastic find and all the previous great reviews are absolutely deserved. We will be back!

We walked in here v early evening, thinking we'd easily get seated, but were lucky to get last free table as the place rapidly filled up with people who'd booked, as we certainly will next time.

Just enjoyed an absolutely delicious Family Platter at Zigana. Fed 2 adults and 2 ravenous teenagers - good value, beautifully presented, nice staff and efficient. What a treat... we will be back regularly.

We have been several times and have always had an excellent meal and it has always been excellent value for money. The overall feeling you get is that top quality, fresh ingredients are being freshly cooked and this is fantastic. Lamb chops are amazing....but so is everything else.

Fantastic lunchtime treat which was thoroughly enjoyed by all. We enjoyed the whole range of delicious Cold Mezze starters with warm pita bread followed by The Family Platter which was yummy and substantial.

We had a 2 hour time limit which made no sense because it took 1 hour to serve the food (bearing in mind we were the only people there). The waiters took out glasses away forgetting that it is a heat wave currently. We got kicked out something is extremely disrespectful. Won'r be going there again.

All our mains were brilliant and a lovely sized portion too, not too large! The brilliant part at the end was when we received our bill, the price was amazing for 3 people! Definitely value for money!
