Zia Lucia in Hammersmith and Fulham

Fantastic food; lovely atmosphere, friendly staff. We spent far longer here than intended because we were so enjoying the place. The pizzas arrived in good time (we had a theatre to get to and were clocking-watching a little). We were all blown away by the food - absolutely wonderful pizzas (we all agreed that they were the best we’d ever eaten), and good wine too. Unbelievable gluten-free pizza. Thoroughly recommend.

Best pizza I’ve had in London! Mario is the best pizzaiolo in town. As an Italian is hard to find a good pizza far from home but this one satisfied all my authentic pizza craving.

Me and my bestie love pizza and have previously ate few times in Zia Lucia Wandsworth, and were very happy with their pizza and overall restaurant experience including decent customer service and pleasant atmosphere for dining. Unlike visiting this branch in Hammersmith where we were the only ones as customers at the time. Therefore probably the manager sat as in the back because apparently they would get very busy shortly so we couldn’t sit where we firstly wanted. Nevertheless then we ordered our pizzas from the manager who had no idea how to make customers feel welcomed and what decent customer service is. While we’re eating him and other worker were sat by a table next to us to chat in different language and play on their phone or watch videos out loud. We didn’t feel comfortable. This isn’t okay? Whoever is in charge of this branch, DO MAKE SURE YOU CHANGE THIS MANAGER HE HAS NO CLUE HOW TO DO HIS JOB AND IS PUTTING CUSTOMERS OFF IN RETURNING BACK because surely we won’t be. Pizza on its own wasn’t greatest either, seemed bland. Then when we finished eating we would go ahead and pay and the manager would have the audacity to ask why we didn’t want to pay for a service charge. No mate I am definitely not paying for that, we said we don't need to pay. When we then left no one said thank you for coming or see you later, absolutely no manners whatsoever. Disappointment

I used to highly rate the pizzas here but have noticed in my last visits massive drops in quality - and big increases in price so is no longer that enjoyable or good value. The pizzas seem smaller, sparsely topped and forget about fresh basil leaves (or mint in the drinking water). On my last visit I wanted to laugh at the ‘burrata’ on my pizza - a tiny dry piece of cheese which actually seemed to be just mozzarella - no cream whatsoever. Couple of pizzas and some wine settled us for nearly £70 - hardly good value. A shame because I really liked it.

My friend was celiac and despite me specifying that he was celiac in the booking they were not able to avoid contamination. So he had to choose among the starters.

How to totally destroy a restaurant with a bad manager. I am speechless. I order from zia Lucia multiple times a month, as I like their pizza and I work close to them. This evening I ordered via JustEat, which is a kind of legal scam, the app is saying that the driver is at the restaurant but no one is there. There is no way to contact just eat and this is stressing me out, but what really made me furious is the manager of the restaurant answering to me " this is not my problem sir" YOU ARE A PARTNER OF JUST EAT, THIS IS TOTALLY YOUR PROBLEM, YOUR SHOULD CONTACT THEM AND CANCEL MY ORDER AT LEAST, AS I CAN' T DO THAT. Writing a review for them and for just eat at the mean time, is the only way I have to defend my right... this evening I lost 31£ because neither them or JustEat are able to provide a decent customer service ! Many compliments, your lost one of your most loyal clients in a phone call !

ThepPizzas are good. in fact I'm eating one as a write this. But it's not the pizza I wanted to order. I wanted to order a different pizza - a napoletana, with anchovies. You used to make them well. But I was told that you no longer offer anchovies or capers as an option, and that this was a head office decision. But why? Who ever heard of pizza restaurant not offering anchovies or indeed a Napoletana. I am prepared to pay for them. Why can't I have them?

Can't fault the food however we waited for 1hr 20mins for our pizzas. When the bill came we questioned the service charge as service was very poor and after alot of fuss, the assistant manager refusing to change the bill, we explaining that service charge by law is optional and her phoning the manager, she eventually changed her bill to reflect this. We won't be eating in house again - much quicker to get your pizza delivered as that's their focus. This is why they are getting 3 stars

This place is a joke. I ordered a pizza and asked them to please remove the sausage, which they were happy to do because that saves them money, but when I asked them via Uber eats to please put some tomato sauce on it, they sent it without. They didn’t bother to call me and ask, they were happy to make the order incorrectly and when I called them they told me it’s not company policy to do it. So it’s not company policy to exercise common fricking sense and understand that I’m still paying for an ingredient I didn’t get? Let’s empower employees to stretch their brain power a bit and slow a little autonomy when looking at orders. Company policy is happy to take more money from me, but not to put something else on the pizza I am able to eat, to which I have no allergy. It’s not my policy to pay for things I don’t get. This place is a joke. Go to the bird in hand, they’re just down the street. Good work though, guys. I live down the street and will joyously spend my money elsewhere.

The restaurant itself was very small and "intimate" with tables very close together so was a little bit claustrophobic but not too much of a problem. Lots of pizza topping options and all could be made gluten free but be warned that it's not "fully" gluten free so it is not safe for those with super sensitive allergies. Huge portion sizes though and the quality was delicious, I'd definitely recommend eating here if you're in the area as we were. I would say slightly overpriced as we paid £30 for only 2 pizzas but this is taking into account that it's an extra £1.50 for gluten free base on each. Service charge is added automatically and I never like to ask for it to be removed (unless service is bad, which it definitely wasn't here - I just like the option to add it on myself separately) so this was also included by default and added to the charge.

It was my second time here tonight. I usually do not write reviews but I have to say that this place really needs to be mentioned. Cosy ambient, quiet and relaxed mood, no wifi (love it) excellent food, friendly and professional staff for an honest price. The charcoal pizza is absolutely delicious and do not forget to try the tiramisu. Yes they have only one cake on the menu but they know how to make it, superb! My Italian friends were literally surprised for the quality of the products; I will be back soon, thank you for the lovely dinner, Matteo

I’m still reeling from how abysmal the service was here. My friend needed to remind them to get her drink after over 30 minutes. They forgot to bring my starter, but we waited so long for the main that I stopped caring. We asked for the dessert menu twice and it never came. When I made eye contact with the waitress, instead of remembering to bring it or apologising she just said “I need your table.” I was shocked. The restaurant had been practically empty when I arrived, but filled up because everything took so long. We were there for over two hours, just to eat an average pizza. I said to the waitress, “if you want people to leave faster, you should serve people faster.” Instead of apologising, she told me she was the only one serving. So who was the other waiter who was also half serving, half ignoring us? Whatever was going on (although I note the staff all seemed to be having great fun chatting at the start of the night and ignoring us), you should just close if you can’t get enough staff. It was simply awful.
