The pizzas could be amazing as the base is delicious but there weren't enough toppings on the pizzas. The few toppings that were on the pizza were all only in the very centre, leaving most of the pizza bland. If the toppings were a little fairer then these pizzas would be great but until that happens these are quite average pizzas. The service was quick.

This place is far superior. Excellent options on the menu and it all boils down to basics: fresh ingredients and a fabulous furnace to fire it all up. Family friendly and a simple venue on New Kings Road. The menu consists basically of one thing: pizza! I also noticed delivery is an option.

If you are looking for a real Italian experience, look no further. La Gatta has kept their pizza recipe authentic and veracious. This is how a pizza should be. Finally, I have found a great place in Fulham, with great vibes and lovely service. I highly recommend La Gatta if you are a true pizza lover.

Given the quality of pizza available in west London this is by far the worst I have ever had.Our pizza was under cooked, wet and insipid. The toppings were few and cheap tasting as well. After one slice my wife and I could not face another. To add insult to injury the manager refused to except any criticism or offer any compensation. He point blank told us that our pizza was fine and we should accept it. Ignoring any notion of customer is always right, or that we may know a little bit about quality. Customer service straight out of the 80's! No place for service or food like this in London 2016, avoid!

I really enjoyed my meal here. The pizzas were excellent. Everything was tasty and fresh. They have lots of traditional ingredients on the list and overall the quality was high. The dough was nice and thin and the sauce was very flavourful. I was also very impressed by the service. The owner was very friendly, he came over for a chat at the end of our meal and made sure we had a good evening.I will definitely come here again.

The pizza was excellent, in particular the pizza base was the most perfect I have had while the ingredients are some of the highest quality I have found on a pizza. No real let down, the service was extremely good, the starter meat plate and tiramisu were both great and the wine felt good value. There were even a number of Italians in the restaurant. Can't fault it.

Quirky and cool design and lovely staff. The pizzas are unusual and just a bit different. At the waiter's suggestion I chose a courgette with truffle oil one and it was amazing - definitely recommend it. I thought the starters were less imaginative or unusual but nice all the same and there was a good selection of wines. Prices were fair, particularly for the area. Not sure I would call this the best pizza place in London but its certainly pretty high on the list and I am definitely going back - Soon!

I went with some family to La Gatta for a relaxed Monday night meal. I live just along the road so was excited to try the restaurant which has attracted rave reviews. We ordered the Burratta to start - it was excellent and we had fantastic pizzas after that. However the evening was really let down by the service - the waiter (owner?) could not have looked more disinterested - he did not smile once during the evening and when we tried to engage him in conversation he responded in very short answers. My mother ordered the Melanzane Parmigiana (usually a starter) as a main course size - it came as a tiny portion which was disappointing. Service can make or break an evening, and while this occasion didn't, I feel that it could be heavily improved.

Ignore newspaper reviews and your opinions on them. I am a bit of a pizza nerd, always on the lookout for the best. New York, Naples and Chicago (not Rome yet, alas). The pizza here is among the best in London and stands up to the best I have had worldwide. As delicious and creative as Franco Manca, but with the soul of the original restaurant and without the barebones feeling of eating in Brixton Market a few years ago.Highly recommended. The prices aren't that high for London, but if you want the best ingredients you can't cut corners, so don't expect cheap and cheerful.

I'm Italian and happy to confirm that the pizza is good with fresh and original ingredients! The atmosphere is simple but very nice. The only negative is the price; 2 pizzas and 2 beers (small moretti bottles) were over £40, which is higher than other good Italian places (for instance, at Franco Manca you can spend half of that) so I would suggest the management to review them.

To be honest, I found the Independents review off putting. I didn't believe that the little pizzeria around the corner from my home could possibly live up to the 9.5/10 it received. But it did. I was thrilled with my burrata, grilled courgette and truffle pizza. It even earned the praise of my boyfriend who is hyper critical of pizza which isn't piled sky high with pepperoni. The house white was tasty and reasonably priced. Atmosphere relaxed and the restaurant was clean. We didn't wait long for anything, we were very well looked after by the owner and his wait staff. Thanks for a lovely evening! Pizza was excellent!

The secret to having a great meal here is to not carry the sentiments from a recent press review into the restaurant with you. That was over-hyped and exaggerated - it was not good journalism. This place is very good but the pizza oven (downstairs - you won't see it) is not wood-fired but gas fired. However, I challenge you to tell the difference - there is none. So, we conclude the quality of ingredients is high and this shines through in two items. First, the mozzarella di buffala (now this really is amazingly good) - second the tomato base - also a "standout" item. What about THAT dessert? it is very good and fun but absolutely not "the dessert of the year" - it is good and innovative but don't go there for that. Service (by Luca - the owner) was exceptionally good. Overall, yes you should go (although it is a bit of a journey over to Parsons Green).

We stumbled on the restaurant from the complete chaos of the Prudential cycle ride and from the outside it looks quite nice. Saw the headline Independent review which suggested it should be good. Best thing I can say about it was the house wine at £2.95 a glass. My calzone appeared to have no meat in it, although I did like the dough and the apparent flame cooking. Poor dessert choices (everything with Nutella!) which wasn't to our taste. We would have been better off at the Italian opposite based on trip advisor reviews.

A wonderful selection of antipasta especially the straccetti fritti and aubergines with ham and smoked mozzarella which were all delicious. The pizzas we had were all with crisp bases and a very good range of toppings are possible. If you are not keen on pizza you can choose about 5 kinds of calzone. If you still have room after all this, the tiramisu for dessert is simply fabulous. I think this must be the best pizzeria right now in London and strongly recommend. We had wine too and paid about £58 for two.

After what can only be described as a eulogy for a restaurant in 'The Independent' newspaper,I recommended going to La Gatta for pizza with a couple of friends. I had been meaning to go since the review was published, mentioning 'flawless pizza' and a deconstructed tiramisu that apparently had 'Dessert of the Year, written all over it'.It was given 9.5 out of 10 - quite a lot for a pizza. To say that the evening was chaotic would be kind. We arrived at 7.30, when the place was pretty empty. At 8.15 we managed to attract the waiters attention to get a drink and order. 8.35 a bottle was brought, tap water which we had asked for was apparently 'off', which is the first time I have ever been told that. Eventually the pizza's arrived, and a very sorry pizza it was too. Rather flabby and uninteresting. The tomato salad I had ordered never made it.At 9.30 one of the party went up to the waiter and asked if we could have the deconstructed tiramsu. We were told that there would be a wait of at least 20 minutes. At this point we counted our loses, paid up the £65 and left. I did mention to the waiter that the whole evening had been pretty chaotic, and he said 'it wasn't usually like that and sorry'. Needless to say we won't be going again. It reminds me never to believe a newspaper review.

This restaurant recently opened. It has been entirely refurbished and had a main large dining area on the ground floor and a large room for drink/ diner party in the basement. The staff was really friendly and very good / patient with the kids. We al had pizzas and were not disappointed with the true Neapolitan style and fresh ingredients, they even had cime di rapa ( aka broccoli di rapa) which we love and struggle to find in London. We will definitely go back there again.

I didn’t see all of their 1 star reviews but honestly I’m shocked, disappointed and having to throw out pizza which I can’t believe. See photos for fully BURNT and inedible pizza with NO refund which made this whole experience a waste of time and money. Taking a little extra time and care to provide better food would go a long way.

Opted to take away. Really excellent vegetarian pizzas, which I opted to make full vegetarian with extra toppings - and there were a LOT of extra toppings. Delicious and much needed! AND prepared super fast - which was a bonus!
