Zia Bangladeshi & Indian Takeaway in Selby

By far the best Indian takeaway in selby for price quality and quantity. I've been ordering from them for around a year now and I've never been let down the staff are nice the food is amazing and they even opened my eyes to trying something I typically wouldn't bat an eyelid at and hit after hit I've tried so many new things and found some simple delicious meals. My partner is somewhat of a fussy eater and even she has tried some new things based on their suggestions and so far never said she didn't like what they suggested.

We’ve ordered from Zia for a long time, it’s our go to for Indian food. We’ve tried many different dishes, they’re all spectacular in their own way. The chefs don’t use a bog standard base sauce for all their curries, each one actually has a different taste & texture. I’d recommend Lemon Chilli as it’s so fresh and zesty with a nice heat of chilli that you want from a curry. The delivery guys are always lovely & go above & beyond. If you’re wanting great Indian food, Zia is the place to go.

Quality of the flavours, spices, meat and veg was good, only downside was that the curry’s were very fluid “ watery “ and had to much oil in them, it was sat on top of the curry when we opened the lid, After spooning the oil out the curry left was lovely. On the plus side the onion barjhis were amazing, better than usual.

Spicy enough but not much taste, tiny bits of meat, soggy chips & naan and a doughy onion bhaji. Should have got Iceland curry out instead and saved myself 15 quid. Used to be great did Zia, back to Reshy we go.

Ordered online, came fast and really hot. Great portion sizes. They accidentally forgot a naan bread, we were going to leave it and didn't call but they realised and came back to give us it. Fab service

The Achari was awful, it tasted like half a bottle of lemon juice was poured in, no other flavours coming through. The passanda was delicious, however, and delivery was in good time! Please balance the achari 🤢

This is the best chicken korma I’ve ever tasted give yourself a pat on back as this is superb even the nan bread is lovely thank you for making such a lovely meal

Arrived hot and on time but the currys tasted unusual. The Balti had an aftertaste of a cleaning product and the Rogan Josh just tasted of tomatoes. Not spicy at all. Disappointed

First time ordering, very delicious and great quality food. Balti was fragrant and fruity tasting, Masala was rustic and the chicken pieces were of great quality and flavour, very tender.

Absolutely lovely food, we got the Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikka Masala as mains which were cooked really nicely and tasted delicious. Naan breads are huge, mixed grill starter was gorgeous and we got a free popadom platter. Will definitely become our regular Indian, thank you Zia!!😁

Zia was great until it decided to water down the last meal I ordered. I was very disappointed to be given runny slop instead of the previously high quality food I'd enjoyed during the six-or-so takeaways I'd had. There's no going back for me now. Having this happen just once is once too often Zia and I have parted company now.

Everything about the Zia experience is perfect. Fantastic food, no matter what dish I try at any given time. Always punctual and always friendly delivery people.

There was very little flavour, the chicken was tender but the sauce was thick and grainy not very pleasant. The Garlic Naan was pretty poor and I’ve had better from here, and the Onion Bhajis were ok.

First time ordering from Zia. The service was amazing requested it to be delivered at 8pm it arrived hot and on time. They delivery driver was friendly too. Food was lovely, the chicken tikka starter was amazing as well as the poppadoms and pickle tray. My little boy loves the "big crisp". Ordered classic dishes such as buana and tikka masala and these were tasty. Will definitely be ordering from here again next time I'll try some of the chefs specials.

This is some of the best take away food I have had in a looong time. The relative lack of grease on any of the food sounds like a ridiculous thing to highlight and praise, but it's genuinely refreshing to not feel your arteries clog with every mouthful. But still so incredibly tasty. Very, very pleasantly surprised, and Zia will now be our go-to takeaway, especially when entertaining guests.

I have already provided glowing feedback about Zia. I consider Zia to be a fantastic asset for Selby. Its kitchen is obviously not just a talented one, but also has passion for the quality of food it prepares.

First time user of Zia, hopefully won't be the last. Disappointingly, like most, the chips which accompanied my meal left something to be desired. They curries on the other hand, Rogan Josh & Dupiaza were probably one of the best takeaway meals I've had. Absolutely delicious and would definitely recommend and order from them again.

Ordered a few times from here and really pleased with everything I've ordered.

Two weeks ago we finally tried some food from Zia. We were both taken aback by how good everything was. We both tried house specials, as the menu is so extensive and varied. Niether of us could fault the food at all. It was no fluke either; we had another take out this evening - different chef's specials - and it was once again suoperb. Zia obviously has a very talented chef, or chefs and more than that, they obviously care about the quality of food they produce. The delivery turned up exactly when it was supposed to and the guy was cordial and professional. There was an abundance of fantastic aromas, and it was clear that everything on offer was fresh and prepared in an immaculate kitchen. But the flavours! Just superb. All of them. Bravo, Zia, you have left the competition standing. We most certainly will be back .... often. We hope you receive all of the recognition you deserve.

First time I've tried Zia. Absolutely beautiful curry and all accompying dishes such as rice and onion bhajis. The only thing that let it down was the naan breads weren't quite cooked but as its a Saturday and I expect its super busy - these things happen. Would order again without a doubt!
