Moved local and thought give this place a try for family meal as I had seen it many times but had never been - All I can say is I will certainly visit again as the food was superb and we had great service.

First visit, definitely not the last! Superbly presented food, delicious and piping hot. Enormous portions. Very tasty desserts. Beautifully decorated restaurant, felt as if we were in Greece. Lovely waitress, very attentive, friendly and extremely helpful. She looked after us very well. Thank you for a lovely evening!

Visited last night for a family celebration, after hearing nothing but positives from friends and family who have visited previously. When we arrived we received a friendly welcome and was seated at our table. Unfortunately that’s where the positives end. Firstly, there was no draught beer available, only bottles, which at the same price as a pint was pretty poor. Secondly, (and probably my biggest complaint) was service. Or should that be lack of it. It was atrocious! A young team (who all looked under the age of 18) trying to run a busy restaurant! We had to ask numerous times anytime we wanted a drink. We sat at a cluttered table for over 45 minutes, after each course was finished, before asking for our plates to be removed. We also had to collect our empty drinks glasses at one end of the table and ask numerous times for these to be removed, as we just had no room on the table. We asked 3 times for the children’s dessert, which was part of an offer, and the bill arrived before the dessert did! Thirdly, we were all disappointed with the food which was served sporadically, with no serving spoons for sauces, and plates that we again had to ask for numerous times. In the end, I ate my starter of sharing breads and dips without a plate as I was fed up of asking and being ignored. One of our party was a vegetarian, and whilst the sharing platter starter offered a varied selection of vegetarian options, the main course platter offered chips and a Greek salad. Nothing else. Chips and Salad for £23 a head, I feel is absolutely disgusting! We all left feeling underwhelmed and disappointed, and £300 lighter.

I was excited about visit to a greek restaurant as I've enjoyed greek food on Zakhyntos holiday so much. Not taking any chance we've decided to go for popular mussaka as a greek couldn't go wrong with this dish...but they did It was horrible !!! No taste at all. We had to ask for salt and peper to make it taste somehow. Best food review was from our 3yrs old was when he spit it out his meatballs from kids menu. If you like microwave ready meals go for it but if not stay away from this place and go for curry insted. Nicely decorated place with greek music but terrible food. From startes trough main including kids menu.

Myself,wife and her friend went here last night after they’d had a cocktail day in Birmingham, I met them down there and what a lovely evening. The staff are all very friendly which is a plus . We had a meze for 3 and it was superb although we couldn’t manage it .they asked if we’d like to take the remainder home but we have a busy bank holiday. Live Greek music and an extended greek family celebrating a birthday made it feel even more Greek.will be visiting again .

We ate as a family of 3 adults we had a lovely Greek mix of food. Everything was fantastic tasty and made us feel like we were back in Greece. The staff were friendly and attentive and we were made to feel so welcome. We would highly recommend it and will definitely be back

Incredible food, friendly service, please support local independent businesses, so sad to see spoons over the road so full when the quality and prices here are far superior!! Definitely recommend, something for every taste!

Fabulous evening everything was perfect. We have been unable to get to our favourite places in Greece because of lockdown, so this was just a fantastic treat. Really authentic food and so much of it! The staff were really friendly and made us feel welcome.

Our first visit under new ownership. We felt very welcome and the service was attentive but not over the top. The only difficulty we had was choosing from the great range of food. As in most Greek restaurants the food came quickly, it was hot and delicious.We will be back.

I’ve been here several times since moving into the area, and have never been let down. We’ve had both takeaways and dined in. The quality of the food is exceptional as well as the portions and wide variety for all on the menu. The service was excellent with waiting staff providing recommendations on the menu. I have a cheese intolerance which the restaurant catered to with no problem at all!By far our favourite restaurant in the area!

Had a mixed grill for two and to be honest it wasn’t great, for how long it took we were expecting some fresh tender meats but we got a box with sausage, chicken a lamb chop and kebabs etc all over done and very dry and which wasn’t good was the fries and salad were thrown in the same box a bit of a mess really and disappointed for what it cost the dog ate most of it, well done once bitten won’t go again

Such a great meal here again. As a group of 4 we had the Meze and it was gorgeous. So much food and all so tasty. The service, as on previous visits, was friendly and efficient. Can’t fault.

We'd booked a table for my in-laws as ot was their wedding anniversary. Unfortunately, my father-in-law hurt his back so I took the booking with my wife.Pork souvlaki for me, vegetarian stuffed pepper for Laura. Service and food spot on as usual.I love this place.

First time visit since it has changed from zendi’s. Wasn’t dissapointed.. food was lovely, price was reasonable and service was very efficient. We had a lovely chat with the owner Dennis who was a very nice man and seemed to have time to make u feel comfortable. Will deffo be returning soon

I'd had a few gyros takeaways from here during lockdown but had not had the pleasure of eating here before so decided to go on bank holiday Monday and give it a try. Had been here a few years previously when it was Zendi but did not know what to expect as there was new management and a new menu. We were greeted by gentleman who believe was the owner and got chatting to him and he informed us he had moved over from Zante with his family and we got talking about our love of Greece. The tables were also spaced quite far apart which was great for social distancing too. We ordered gyros plates and the portions were a decent size with baklava as dessert which wasn't sickly and I really enjoyed it. I really do think it is the best Greek food I have tasted outside Greece and look forward to trying more items on the menu with return visits as we will be back.I think it's important to support the local businesses and this is the best Greek restaurant for miles so please do give it a try if you get the chance.

I went with my wife for our third visit this month. The excuse this time was my birthday. It was quiet for a Friday night but the food was great again.

It was a special birthday which we originally planned to celebrate at the restaurant but the Coronavirus had other ideas!! However Dennis came to the rescue he delivered the food to our home where we could social distance etc etc. We ordered the meze set menu for 13 people when the food arrived we could not believe it !! There was so much. The food was delicious!! We wish we could do it all again this week. The family were amazed and our grand daughter has already requested the same for her birthday. I would highly recommend it to anyone! Can't thank you enough for making my birthday one I will never forget !! Hope to see you again very soon. Many Thanks once again .

What a wonderful experience. I booked this restaurant for my mother’s birthday last night, I asked if they would take a cake for me to be presented at the table the next day and they said it would be no problem. The cake was in a large box so they had to make room for it in their fridge, they did this without any complaints. I dropped it off and they were very busy but still made time to accommodate me and be polite in the process. The cake was brought out to the table after our meal and they used the cake fountain I provided, it was the perfect end to the perfect dinner. The whole meal was just wonderful all round, everyone loved their food. They gave us everything we asked for and even an extra little something for my mother. They really went the extra mile to make it special and we felt welcomed from the moment we arrived until we left. The ambience was perfect, love the Greek decor and music. Very authentic Greek experience, almost like being there! My mom had had a rather stressful day beforehand so the meal at this restaurant turned it around and literally saved the day. She was very happy. The owners are just lovely and were happy to answer any questions. I would happily come here every week and will definitely be back soon.

Visited for a belated anniversary meal on the eat out to help out scheme. Was a bit nervous about going out for the first time since lockdown, but Alexander’s has the tables well spaced out so we felt very safe. Service was very friendly and attentive and the food was wonderful. We shared Loukaniko and Aubergine starters, then shared a really generous seafood platter which was absolutely enormous. All delicious and perfectly cooked. We look forward to visiting again even without a tenner from Rishi! I’d been so looking forward to Baklava but had no room, so took it home to have tomorrow. Can’t wait!

Fantastic food the gyro's are delicious. Fast delivery! will definitely be going into the restaurant soon for a sit down meal.

Visited because recommended by a friend and it didn’t disappoint it was excellent. The service the cleanliness and the food were all 10/10. We had the Sharing platter and there was so much food all fresh and delicious. There was no dancing because of Covid but it didn’t matter. Will definitely return.

Visited this week for the 1st time since new management. We shared a mix dips which was lovely, I had moussaka which was so delicious and my wife had Beef Stamnas which was also was so tasty and delicious. Another bonus was 30% of all foodWe will definitely be going back again very soon. Thank you

Decided it was time for "Greek Takeaway" had been longing for one for some time!! Spoke to Dennis on the phone the previous evening who took our order, he was most helpful and even offered to deliver the food to our home. The food was delicious , hot and a good portion size! We enjoyed every mouth full . Delicious! Won't be long before We order again !! Thanks Dennis and his staff see you again soon.

My sister and I had a takeaway from here last night. I love Greek food and we were really looking forward to this so what we received was disappointing. For a start The food was greasy. Although the portion size of the chips was great they were inedible being both cold and undercooked. My tzatziki had an unpleasant texture and didn’t seem to have any cucumber in it.the only saving grace was my sisters baked feta which she said was lovely the rest was a big let down. We will not be ordering here again.

We ordered a Greek takeaway as we normally holiday in Greece! We really couldn’t fault it! We all had different traditional Greek dishes including starters which were all delicious . Will be ordering again soon !

Had a take away which unfortunately was very disappointing for the price. Most importantly, none of the food tasted home made. The meatball portion was ridiculously small and the meatballs were so chewy they were almost hard, the sauce that came with them was bland. Both pita wraps came with the wrong filling and I was charged for 2 starters but only received one- this was rectified by the owner who issued a refund and apologised. Overall for £25 I felt it was a complete waste of money. I did email the restaurant directly with my feedback but received no acknowledgement.

Visited here last night for the first time with a friend.Thoroughly enjoyed the food,ambience , dancing and live music.Ignoring the torrential downpour of rain against the windows we could almost believe we had been transported to a Greek island.Authentic music in the background and delicious Greek food made it a very enjoyable evening which was completed with dancing to a live singer and the inevitable smashing of plates.Will definitely be returning.Thanks to the attentive staff and wishing you every success with this new venture.

We visited zendi Greek restaurant now known as Alexander Greek restaurant with my family iv been before it was taken over by the new management it was ok but on visiting again now its been taken over by new owners its like a completely different experience the atmosphere is lovely and relaxing the staff were very welcoming from the moment we walked in they greeted us by the door and then seated at our table they were very friendly and as i had my 2 children with me they went out of their way to make them welcome and involved in the conversation we were handed our menus and they very kindly explained what was what and involved the children in the conversation to which my children loved while we decided what to order they sorted out our drinks once the drinks came we sat back and listened to the lovely Greek music playing we really felt like we were on holiday which was lovely when the food came out we weren't expecting to see so much none of us could finish our meals we took some home with us the tastes were amazing and everyone enjoyed the food including my 2 children who are picky eaters we were all were encouraged to dance with the staff and we also did plate smashing which was a big yes for the kids they had a fantastic night and asked when we will be going back i can honestly say it was a fantastic experience the staff went out of their way to give us a very enjoyable night food and drink prices were not to bad and we didn't feel rushed to leave we spent a very enjoyable night their and will definitely be going back thank you to the staff for for a lovely evening

Excellent visit tonight for a 2 person meze .The food was excellent in both taste and quantity- so much so we took some home with us for tomorrow! The atmosphere was calm and friendly and the owner and waiting staff friendly and good to talk to and get to know . We have visited before under the previous owners and it was ok . However it is now several levels above .If you have Been before please re visit and you won’t be disappointed - in an area that quality meals are hard to find support someone who is passionate about what theyOffer and is striving to succeed . Being honest I have avoided this place for years but once I heard it had new owners I thought I would give it a go.The restaurant is very local to us when we arrive the owners gave us a warm welcome.They had clocked us walking up the entrance path and took the trouble to meet us at the door which I thought was a nice touch.We were handed the menu which had a wide variety of Dishes all fairly priced..Whilst a Meze was not on the menu I enquired (they are updating the menus following the ownership change)Whilst it was normally on weekends for 4 people they kindly said they would accommodate the two of us.We ordered drinks(pub prices) and then the starter arrived.A wide range of dishes all of which tantalised the taste buds.Being honest the starters were excellent and huge.I normally am a man v food boy but even I was struggling.The mains arrived another wide range of Greek dishes all tasty.Meanwhile an excellent Greek Mandalin player strummed his stuff which set the mood beautifully.Our hosts came over regularly and gave us interesting info on the food ingredients etc.The meze came with sweet or coffee we could not manage either,,taking a bag home of leftover mains which we ate the following day.This place deserves to do well.The owners are passionate about what they do the place has a nice causal ambience and the food is well priced and excellent.Give it a try

We visited for an anniversary meal and loved the place. The restaurant has recently changed hands and there’s a lovely family running it now who made us feel really welcome – we even had goodbye hugs when we left! The food was fabulous and they certainly deserve to do well; we will definitely be heading back in the new year.

I really like sea food and I decided to visit Zendi last night because I heard they have great sea food. I ordered Lavraki and I have to say it was delicious. Everything else was great and myself and my girlfriend really enjoyed it. The prices were reasonable.

I am a huge fan of baklava and other Greek desserts. The baklava I had at this restaruant was the best baklava I have honestly ever had in England. In general everything else was nice and tasty and great price. I really enjoyed my time here, if you are a fan of Greek desserts you must visit.

I am a fan of mediterranean cuisine so I decided to visit Zendi with my family. I have to admit that the service was really quick and the staff were very polite. I ordered the Veg Moussaka because I'm a vegetarian. It was a lovely night. Visiting again soon.

Me and my friends went to zendi for dinner on saturday. The food came fast and the staff were very nice and friendly. I ordered moussaka, it was tasty and the price was reasonable. the music and the decoration made me feel as if i was on holiday in greece. I would definitely recommend this restaurant

Tonight was our first visit, but it certainly won’t be the last! My partner booked it for my surprise birthday dinner & we both loved it.

The staff are very attentive and entertaining. Live music,plate smashing during a conga and a great 70'S disco at the end! The staff make you feel welcome and get you up to dance. The food was marvellous. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a Greek experience.

It was my 3rd time visiting.Food, service and the atmosphere were top class. I had the best kleftico ever and price was very reasonable. Me and the husband visited also during new year eve and they give wonderful firework display, Dancing and the plate smashing were also amazing. Nikos tried to explain the food and tradition and their meanings.

The food was delicious it was a packed house so not a lot of room to move the staff were nice and obliging the greek dancing and smashing of the plates was brill if i had to find any negativity at all the prices of the drinks were high. Would i reccomend it certainly and i will return!

We were rather excited to find a Greek restaurant close enough to us to visit and it did not disappoint. I’m not sure why so many poor reviews are on the internet as our food and service were great.

We booked Zendi for my dad's 70th Birthday after recently visiting one month before. After being impressed by the atmosphere, food and general service - we thought this would be the perfect celebration.

It seems 99Tigerman99 below was there at the same time we were. I endorse his comments completely about poor service. I would add that the smoke alarm went off many times, probably due to the kitchen door being propped open. Toilet lights kept going off about 10 seconds when you were in there and you had to wave your arms around to get them to come back on then repeat 10 seconds later etc. One waiter barely spoke, was gruff when they did, and had no smile for or rapport with customers all evening. Another waiter was smiley and friendly but seemed unable to do anything as every time he was approached he referred us to someone else. Staff didn’t come to the table to take our orders/ask if we wanted the bill/take payment - we had to go to the counter to get anything. Cash only – from previous reviews it seems this has been the case for months. No atmosphere, certainly no “Greekness” (Greek music, singing, clapping, dancing) one comes to expect from this style/genre of restaurant. At the end of the evening when going to the counter to make payment I asked what turned out to be the owner (who I don’t recall seeing before then during the evening until then) how he thought the evening had gone, how things could have been done better, why there was such poor service and how he felt about letting customers down – I got no response, no apology, no explanation or even any disagreement; he just stood there presumably only interested in receiving the cash, he just didn’t seem to care.

Got there with a sign saying no card machine working cash only. The smoke alarm went off as being shown to our table. Got our menu after 10 mins. Ordered a pint of lager from the menu to be told no pints bottle only. Took our order at about 2030 and we waited. We got brought out another meal from the table behind us and at 2120 we finally got our main course....this was before our starter ml came out which was only dips and bread. The smoke alarm kept going off all night...it was busy with a hen party but once the meal was delivered we never had anyone check if it was ok until we finished. Service was terrible food was nice but won't ever go back.

Well , firstly I phoned a week or so in advance to book a table for four people . It was a for my wife’s birthday and a kind of surprise as we’ve been to Greece many times and I thought it would make a change to try the local Greek restaurant, so we walked in the door last night on time to find an empty restaurant, unaware of our booking but were told they could serve us drinks not food as they had no CHEF .. they didn’t contact me prior to let me know they had a problem.. absolute joke of a place .DONT WASTE YOUR TIME

The fourth but probably the last time we will eat here. I have had good food here three times before. Sadly today was not great.

Was a little apprehensive due to poor reviews. Couldn’t of been more impressed!!! Fantastic food, absolutely brilliant. Vegetarian options. Great service. Friendly and welcoming. The venue itself was brilliant. Immaculate, tasteful, a mix of traditional and trendy. Only concern was the toilets were upstairs. Great entertainment. I never knew plate smashing could be so therapeutic. A great night and would totally recommend.

We went 3 years ago to this Greek restaurant had a fantastic meal . But went tonight very dissapointed my husband said if we had a free meal tomorrow he would not go a great shame

We had booked 3 days in advanced for a party of 5 we arrived and no table had been set up for us. we got seated ordered our drinks ( no kids drinks ) so we had to give a 17month old and a 3 year old pints of orange squash ( not ideal) we then finally ordered our food by someone that barely understood basic english, then we endured a 45minute wait , with two kids to entertain it felt longer, the food arrived! hooray! except we rushed as the table next to us were really loud we didnt get any conversation threw our meal. The Lamb was Infact exceptional , fell off the bone. but the rest of the meals were like cafe food matching the " restaurant astmosphere " poor and unwelcoming and overpriced. We asked for the bill, ready to leave only to be given someone elses bill ,eventually we got our bill sorted. at this point we just wanted to leave, but we couldnt pay by card ( we wasnt informed prior to ordering ) so another wait to find a cashpoint to finally pay and leave , Mothers day treat Ruined. £60 out of pocket definitly wont be returning. Plus They had a Verg Young Child serving! must have been 14/15 max at 9pm at night. Shocking Service and unwelcoming.

Be careful when ordering from mixed menu some items not served any more. When we wanted a reason why the manager couldn't be bothered to come and speak to us. The poor waitress offered to pay part of the bill because we didn't think on a bill over £200 we should pay for products we didn't receive. We did settle up because we felt embarrassed for the poor waitress.

Visited last night with my partner and her uncle. Food was superb, we had the trio of dips and Dolmades to start which were lovely and fresh.

I visited with a friend for a catch up on a Wednesday evening. There was only one other table of diners so the single waiter was attentive and friendly.

A family meal which was a massive let down. The waiter service is non existent. The food took nearly an hour. Steak was definitely not sirloin. Souvlaki was dry and tough. Presented in a very poor manner. No draft beer, and card mashing not working, had to go out to the bank to pay. Prices of mid to high end, but the quality doesn’t reflect the price. Nothing would make me return.

Restaurant almost empty at 7:30 on a Friday evening. Ordered vine leaves and prawns for starters. Although tasty there were only 3 prawns for £6.95! I complained to the waiter who advised that I was also paying for the sauce. Unbelievable. I asked for this dish to be taken off the bill and eventually compromised to pay £3.50. Mains were tasty and plentiful but still overpriced. I was charged £1.50 for a soda water, and the beers were £3.75 for a small Mythos, which would probably cost about a euro in Greece! Not the worst meal I've had but shan't bother returning.

I visited this restaurant for my Birthday after hearing good reviews, but the welcome was frosty to say the least. They took a long time in taking your order, serving drinks and bringing out the meals. The meals were of a poor standard and was not very good value for the money. The temperature of the room was cold and their smoke alarm was bleeping all evening which was annoying. They only had bottled drinks as they said that the draught beers were not available. Then at the end of the meal when we asked for the bill they then informed us that their card machine was not working and there was a cash machine available down the street.

Visited here as a group of 11 for a family celebratory meal. This is my second visit and both times have found staff to be unwelcoming. Some of the starters were poor value, my daughters zendi chicken looked like cat vomit. Veg were frozen veg. Some staff did not know which meals were which when asked what they were. Drinks expensive, no draught beer. No dancing as previous visit, simply no atmosphere. Would not return.

Food nice, atmosphere average, service slow, card machine not working so had to get cash out so very inconvenient, overall OK but it's expensive for what you get.

I visited here with my sister as we had both wanted to try Greek food for a while. On first impressions it was very pretty and authentic music courtesy of the man squished under the stairs, unfortunately the menu did not match. I pride myself on not being a fussy eater but I struggled to find a main I wanted to order, all of them either seemed more Italian or English (with the exception of mousakka). I finally decided on some prom skewers dish which turned out to be diced pork with chunky chips (not fries) and a salad with no dressing! I did glance over the dessert menu but that wasn't anything to write home about. Personally if I were to return I would order a selection of starters and leave it at that - we ordered 2 and had a bit of each other's and they were both lovely!

We visited Zendi early on a Wednesday evening, and found we were the only diners, but were enthusiastically welcomed. Even the experience of entering the building is slightly strange - there are two prominent double doors, but you enter through a proch, and the doors did not appear to open on the other side. The decor strongly references Greece, with a large view of the Parthenon on one wall, and murals of Mediterranean exteriors. There was also stone effect wallpaper presumably to heighten the effect. Zendi specialises in Greek and Italian cuisine, though i did not see much of an Italian influence on their evening menu. I was very disappointed that the moussaka was not available, but had a starter of Greek salad, followed by chicken souvlaki. The food was served in generous portions, and freshly prepared, and was delicious. The bizarre aspect, apart from doors which were not doors, was the fact that after a while the Greek themed background music suddenly turned into speech, which resolved into an (English) advertisement for cars which were suitable for transporting dogs. We listened, bemused, for several minutes of this, before the music returned.

Ìf Zendi put the same amount of energy and enthusiasm in their food as they do with their entertainment then the experience would have been complete.

Went for a birthday meal. Very disappointing. Nothing like a traditional Greek meal at all. Will not be going back.

Absolutely love this place, it’s a little piece of Greece in the middle of the Black Country. The menu is extensive and authentic so if you like Greek cuisine you will not be disappointed. The atmosphere is ramped up when the music is played and dancing begins, you could be on any one of the Greek islands ... if we only had their weather...10 out 10

As a group of four we ordered the Mezze, but with one vegetarian amongst us were unsure if they could provide this - but the waitress easily explained we could substitute vegetarian options in and this would be no problem. The food arrived promptly and in large quantities - in particular the meatballs and calamari amongst the starters were particularly delicious. Amongst the mains the stifado and vegetarian moussaka were equally tasty, and the two side orders of fries we ordered weren’t really needed but were largely eaten too! The sweet and sticky baklava to end was also delightful. The waitress was pleasant and eager to please - recommending Mythos beer which went down incredibly well with our party. The bill including tip was under £120 so averaged £30pp for the mezze, sides and drinks - excellent value for money.

Awful. Only 2 staff who obviously didn't want to be there. An empty restaurant yet food took 45 minutes to start coming out. An 1hr later when its of us had decided to leave what we had been given some of the group still hasn't been served.

Visited for friends birthday, quite a wait on food but restaurant was very busy! Atmosphere was great staff very friendly and engaging, encouraged diners to get involved with activities, food was worth the wait when it arrived

The chicken zendi is to die for x Definatley coming again! Mrs wants to bring the mother in law...... oh dear the things we men have to suffer..... if we come on a weekend maybe someone can smash a plate on her head lol

Visited for the first time on a Monday night. We had any starter and chicken/veg main for £9.95. The food was excellent couldn't fault at all, especially for the money. Will definitely be visiting again.

It’s been sometime since we actually dined at Zendi so I apologise for the belated review. We holiday quite frequently in Greece so we compared the food to what we normally get over there. Unfortunately the food was a little disappointing to what we were expecting also the service was extremely slow and the restaurant wasn’t even full. However I would give this place another chance as maybe we caught it on an off night.

We popped in last minute for a meal on a Saturday evening and had a really lovely time. The food was served quickly and the waitress was really helpful especially as we had a hungry little one. Relaxed evening and very tasty food!

I can't fault anything about this place apart from 1 thing, it was colder inside than out. The food was delicious, the service excellent, the only downside was most of our party had to keep their coats on. We were very envious of the couple on the next table, they had a candle !! Would I return, yes but only when the weather warms up.

This is a fun concept and the staff were entertaining. It’s fairly loud in there, which is fun at the end of the night, less so during a meal.

Despite having no reservation they fitted us in. They also accommodated with a mezze which they reported normally only do for four people. Food was plentiful and lovely atmosphere and staff very friendly.

Sad to say it has gone very down hill. Lacked organisation, didn't put any of the decorations up we took in for a birthday, no real table service, had to keep chasing up our drinks and very quiet for a Saturday night. Such a shame but we wont be returning.

Fantastic place. Clean and beautiful setting. Food was fantastic and portions were huge. I have several allergies and they went above and beyond to cater for me. First time here most deffinatley not my last. Thank you for lovely food and a lovely kind lady who served us.

La factura por encima de 127 libras en total, lo que era razonable y nos pidieron pagar con tarjeta. . . . Sí tarjeta! Me dijeron que la tarjeta de la máquina no funcionaba. . Así que ¿en qué momento no piensa diciéndole a la gente. Ah, tienen un enorme cartel, pero no había hecho. Pero en el bar había una máquina para vehículos de trabajo? ? ? También he encontrado este siempre es el caso en este restaurante ya que prefieren llevar efectivo y aconsejar la máquina no funciona la tarjeta como que no desean esperar 5 días para su dinero o haciendo un impuesto tome su recogida. dodge Así que en mi comida de cumpleaños con amigos tuve que aventurarse fuera en la lluvia torrencial lluvia torrencial - sí que ir a buscar una máquina de tarjeta y efectivo al prolongarse, para mi comida. Cuando el gerente de quejarse a su actitud fue que él no podría importarle menos. Nunca se lo recomendaría y nunca volveremos!

Nice venue with strong greek theme, and on the Friday we visited, live music. Service was initially very attentive from a friendly waitress, and the restaurant was not busy. Our food was served quickly, and was very good, a great selection of well prepared greek food. As we were finishing our main course, a very large party arrived and service went downhill. After 30 minutes waiting, we had to flag down a waiter to order desserts. When we received the bill, we asked to pay by card, to be told the card machine was broken. This was annoying as we had to walk to an ATM in the pouring rain to draw cash, after which they put up a sign stating that it was cash only. Clearly from reading many other reviews here, the card machine is very frequently broken, or else the management don't want to take card payments (draw your own conclusions as to why that might be). For a restaurant where the bill is likely to be £30 or more per head, it is a reasonable expectation that card payments would be accepted...modern card machines are very reliable and cheap enough that more than one can be bought by a restaurant.

Made to feel welcome on arrival, promptly shown to our table. Drinks order taken and given time to view the menu. A wide choice of starters and main course all reasonably priced. Good quality house wine. Surprised when I went to pay the bill they were not able to accept a card payment due to the machine being broken, so I had to pop to the local ATM, on my return I was asked to pay the exact money as they had no "float" - odd. I will probably return at some point in the future as the food was well presented and hot.

This has got to be the worst Greek meal I have ever had!!! Firstly drinks order was wrong. Girl behind the bar did not speak good English. Starters ok but then one of our party was served their main course whilst the majority of were still eating. Very poor. Then a steak meal came to our table which none of us had ordered. There was a long wait for the rest of our mains, by which time the person who had already been served their main course early had finished. Not good. When we ordered another round of drinks Cinzano and Lemonade requested to be told they didn't have any when obviously they did as it was on the shelf behind the bar. When we pointed this out the girl behind the bar then gave us our Cinzano and lemonade. We were then served our main dishes. The lady who had previously been served her main course too early was served yet another one which she did not want. He mezes main dishes came without serving spoons and we had to use our forks. Finally !!! When it came to paying the bill we decided to pay using one debit card. We were the told the card machine was not working and to go to a cashpoint over the road. Why not tell your customers this when they arrived. I went to cashpoint and took out the cash. We decided not to leave a tip as service had been so appalling and left. Too sum up - poor customer service, food mediocre but expensive. Don't think we will be returning.

The mezze food was good but not outstanding. It was not at all filling for a mezze and service was appalling. Not a patch on previous visits...rather disappointed. Better sevice, slightly more food and enough pitta to actually eat the taramasalata, humus and tsatsiki could have made this an exquisite experience. Cutting corners and bad service is not a good way to run a restaurant.

It was okay. Very expensive for what you recieve. I hate to be harsh but nothing special it was just okay. I asked for a pot of tatziki sauce to go with my dry chicken. Instead I was given a five pound tatziki starter. The waitress diddnt seem to understand much although she was very nice and tried to help. I wouldn't visit again.

I spent a Friday night here recently with work colleagues. We were made welcome as soon as we entered. Yes we did have a bit of a wait for the food but as we were a large party this wasn't a problem as we preferred to stretch the night out.As we all had the set menu the starter and mains came out tapas style. This was lovely as we all got to have a taste of things we normally wouldn't have tried. I love Greek food and I wasn't dissapointed. The food was fresh and tasty and there was plenty of it. Throughout the evening a live musician played Greek music which added to the charm. Although we were encouraged to get up and join in the Greek dancing and plate smashing, no one felt obliged to join in.I have to say that the atmosphere was brilliant and very Greek due to the lovely staff that worked their socks off but still had time to chat and smile.The following night I joined a hen party at Zorbas in wolverhampton....very different and not in a good way!All in all a great night that I will certainly repeat.

Visited for a leaving do. Nice interior but noticed a lot of diners crammed in. Waitress was pleasant and drinks were served quickly and orders taken promptly. Then the problems began. It was so excruciatingly loud that we had to use the menus as megaphones to hear one another! You could only talk to the person literally next to you and even then, with difficulty. I commend the effort to make it a pleasant and authentic atmosphere but if I wanted to not hear myself think then I would have gone to a nightclub. They had a live musician and a music system on full blast. We ordered at 835pm and starters took an hour. Mine was pleasant and tasty enough but only warm. Not all of us had starters so by 10pm when the main still hadn't arrived, we started getting impatient. We asked how much longer it would be and were told '10mins.' 25mins later and we complained again and finally got mains at 1030pm! By the time the food came, we were past the point of hunger and no one felt like eating so late at night. 2hrs 15min for main course is absolutely unacceptable. Then when we asked for the bill, we had 3 pints of lager added on that we hadn't had at a cost of £12! Please go through the bill with a fine toothcomb! On the plus side, food was very tasty, bill was rectified with minimal fuss and our food was packed up for us to take home. It was certainly an experience but definitely not one I want to experience again!

There was no fault in the food. However, we arrived at the restaurant at 8.15pm and didn't receive our mains until 10.30pm. Poor service by management. Appetite was lost by this time. We had booked a table in advance for a Friday evening. Couldn't be more disappointed with the service.

Zendi....Friday night, choice of tables as the place was quite empty. The wait staff were nice and friendly. Starters: Garides Saganaki (prawns in a tomato and feta sauce with pitta breads), nice taste and the bread was good with all the sauce; Haloumi, and this is where it started to go downhill. Three small deep fried pieces of halloumi served with a mostly iceberg lettuce (running theme) undressed side salad for £4-50! Bland and unappealing.Mains: moussaka, red hot (microwaved ?) and pretty hard to find any lamb in it. Came with a Greek side salad featuring the tasteless iceberg, jarred plain olives, dry feta and no dressing. Mixed souvlaki....very dry pieces of pork and chicken, clearly cooked some time ago, more iceberg and some nice chips. I was expecting authentic Greek and got stale English.

I went here last week on Wednesday evening, we were the only two in the place, although it was early. The young waitress was very pleasant with us.Having eaten here only a few weeks ago we knew what to expect, or we thought.My starter to be fair was very good, I had the meatballs, my wife on the other hand decided to have the garlic mushrooms, which she had on our previous visit, they were dire. The mushrooms were over cooked, greasy and came with whole cloves of garlic.For mains I choose the mixed souvlaki and my wife had Zendi Chicken. Both were terrible, my wife's chicken was rubbery and watery, and smothered in sauce, the rice was microwaved.My meal was to be honest pretty poor my meat skewers were dry, they might have even be from the night before, they were that tough, my crinkle cut frozen chips were not even cooked properly. When you pay good money, you can expect decent food, not frozen value crinkle chips.When asked if the meal was ok by the waitress we told her our concerns, she bought the manager, a lady wearing a pink jumper, who I suspect was doubling up as the chef.We told her our concerns, I said we had eaten here before and the food was good, I said my starter was lovely, but I might have been talking to a brick wall.Her response was perhaps you have eaten too much bread and are too full up to appreciate the food, we were amazed at her attitude, she just did not care, her attitude felt like we was something she scraped off her shoe. she then disappeared back upstairs, the waitress had also vanished to do another task. We could have just walked out without paying, but I disagree with that, as we had drinks and my starter was good.We paid the young lady and left. I will never eat there again and would not recommend it to anyone I know.

It was okay. On arrival we were greeted by a lovely young lady who than looked after us throughout our visit. We reserved a table on their official website just in case but when we arrived, we were the only ones in the restaurant for a while then as we were leaving it started to get busier. We ordered tzatziki as a starter to share, but the pitta bread that came with the Greek yogurt was as hard as a rock, we ate a couple of mouthfuls before it got cold and hardened more, the salad that came with this dish was lovely. We both enjoyed our main meal, lamb kleftiko and chicken souvlaki. The lamb was lovely and tasty and the chicken, I found to be rather dry but also tasty. A lovely restaurant with a pretty interior and pleasant staff. I believe this place to be raving at night but we had a table reserved for 6pm. If you fancy a Greek night I would recommend this restaurant, but probably wouldn't be a rush to go back there.

Was invited to Zendi by my sister in law and was one of a party of 11 family and friends, range of ages Service was really slow, felt that we were pushed into the Zendi platter as we did not want starters, wanted to go straight for mains as we were hungry, told there was a 45 minute wait,£9.95 each and we had two, was more than enough though, more bread brought out without asking and the dips were delicious.Meals took more than an hour to come, some confusion with one meal as no rack of ribs ordered on our table or the neighbour, solved easy enough, food was a high standard and well worth the wait Dancing and entertainment, staff were great at getting you to join in, plate smashing and a mini disco! Cake brought out and all diners sang happy birthday All made the night great, recommend if you have a celebration as you will remember the night

Great Saturday night in Zendi, food was sublime. Can't fault the food, service and the atmosphere. I had the finest kleftico ever. Danced like an idiot and smashed plates. I'd say it's as good a Greek experience as you'll have anywhere outside Greece. Try it you won't be disappointed.

Four of us went on a Saturday evening, there were a couple of large celebration parties in but our meals were served pretty promptly and were lovely. Saturday evening has participatory Greek dancing and plate smashing so you can have a really fun evening here. The only downside was that the card machine wasn't working so I had to go to the cashpoint to be able to pay!

We have been here a few times and the place is value for money. The food is generally good but the service can be a little slow and the bill brought to in double quick time. I always tend to go for the same kind of food as does the wife so maybe to give a better review maybe we should next time time a few more dishes. Place does seem busy a lot of the time which is a good thing but a tip to the manager would be to get a little ore involved as standing around smiling instructing staff whilst we are waiting for drink is just losing you money.
