This place used to be lovely. I’ve received something congealed in a tray instead of a curry this evening, no naan bread, and I can’t contact the restaurant because neither of their phone numbers are working. This place has gone down the toilet!!

food is good nearly every order. this one was spot on. Last time I ordered Jill mill the chef put either scotch bonnet chillies or naga in. it was inedible. 1st bad order in a long time. still my favourite takeaway.

Despite having ordered from Zeera loads and loads of times the delivery driver couldn't find us and was late, on top of which they were very rude

I’m not one to leave reviews but I must say the garlic chilli chicken balti was amazing. The portion sizes was good & still piping hot when received on delivery, I will definitely order again👍🏼

Absolutely SHOCKING service from this takeaway. I would honestly avoid at all costs. Absolutely rude, swearing and being extremely offensive on the phone after they had forgotten multiple items and stating it would take 10 minutes. This was 1 hour 10 minutes later. The original delivery was also extremely late however we looked past this due to it being a busy night. Never ever again will we be ordering from here.

Never usually take the time to leave reviews but feel this was needed,one of the nicest Indian takeaways I’ve ordered really nice quality food and even had seasoned chips which is rare for most takeaways let alone an Indian.will order from here again

we order regularly and food is usually good. Last night the cook put scotch bonnet chilli's in my Jill mill meal. it was so hot had to send my husband out for ice cream.

One of the worst Indian's we've ever had. When the food arrived the chips were stone cold, the chicken well if that's what you call it was so chewy and tasteless it actually went in the bin for both currys. Even the nan bread was chewy. Never again will I order from here, all i can say is don't waste your money!!

Never ever has any taste. I don’t know how you produce tasteless curries. Nor even salt. Every now and again I retry as it’s cheap and on time but disappointed

We ordered the chicken tikka padina, as this is our favourite and we have ordered this for years now. However, what we got this time wasn't the padina. It was a different curry altogether. In addition to this the meat in the zeera mix for 2 was very dry. The nawabi didn't have much flavour considering it has 21 spices and the chicken was very dry also. A little disappointed with the quality on this occasion.

wish I had read the reviews on trust pilot first because the food was awful, I never complain about the odd mistake because we are all human and mistakes are made but this was a tragedy, the korma so watery and tasteless it looked like white sludge, keema rice was bland with onion skin chunks in chopped to various sizes ,the keema naan was so tough , it was totally inedible, the big guy was really sound had a good chat but seriously mate and I mean this with respect sack the chefs.

Comfortably the worst curry I have ever had the displeasure of eating. Every single thing was flavourless, from the grey mango chutney to a completely unseasoned curry, I hated every moment the curry was in front of me. It was that bad it made me angry to look at. My friend looked at his curry and then decided to make a sandwich instead. Bitterly disappointed and has ruined my birthday.

I was very disappointed with my chicken tikka starter, which consisted of 2 small pieces of chicken tikka and 2 onion bhajis. What I had tasted nice. there just wasn't enough of it. Also, the king kebab wasn't very kingly.

Really sad because we always have a good thing to say but unfortunately my lamb was rubbery and my rice was watery. The put my husbands burger at the bottom of the bag so his came squashed and my nan bread was burnt. We usually have no complaints but not tonight.

Meal was bland, mixed starters greasy and soggy, poppadoms chewy and parathas about 20x thicker than they should be - should’ve got a loaf of brown bread instead! 🤦‍♂️

more than sure they are now under new management as these curry’s are definitely not the same absolute shame

Generally unpleasant, curries were sloppy with a Homepride cook-in-sauce vibe. bombay potatoes boiled in lots of a tomatoey sauce, tarka dall lacking the tadka and very little flavour. Mixed starter OK, but they need to change their cooking oil.

I ordered from here many of times the food has been really nice however the best was lamb tikka masala yummy. it was cooked just right and taste so good I am late leaving review but I want to say also that they are very polite and try to meet your needs.give them a try. and see what you think

I don’t like to write negative reviews, and Zeera have been our go to for a number of years now. However in recent months when we’ve ordered the food has lacked the depth of flavour and everything is very tomato heavy rather than the usual big chunks of onion, pepper etc. The food tastes nice but unfortunately is nowhere near as nice as it previously was. I hope the team read this review and increase the standard otherwise they’ll be losing a loyal customer :(

AVOID! You get what you pay for I guess. If you want anything that remotely resembles Indian cuisine go elsewhere. Dinner has been out where it belongs… in the bin! My dinner was sitting on a plate of water that had came from the food with was clearly frozen for a considerable time and then heated up in a microwave. How do you guys get away with this. I’m reporting this to JE as the reviews are dubious to say the least! Disgusting!

Delivered on time. Food ok but pretty watery.

Told the man it was the best in York and I meant it. It’s taken a long time to find one to replace the sadly missed Bilash that was on Leeman Road, but it was worth the wait. We don’t get takeaways often, but when we get a curry, it’s always been from here for the last couple of years.

Visiting York and ordered from my hotel. Good quality meat, tender and good quantity. Great flavours and spices. Food arrived 20 minutes early and hot. The only thing was the mango chutney, a bit watery, but still good taste. Definitely recommend.

I can't comment on food but recently ordered to find the order cancelled about an hour later when trying to ring to find out what was happening. It appears they were closed but hadn't informed the online order partner platforms.

The food was 20 minutes late. The lamb was tough and chewy. Chicken was dry. The sauces were fine but nothing like a madras and chilli garlic I’ve ever had before. I wouldn’t order again. Very disappointed with the cost vs quality.
