Come to this place so often and food and service is always amazing 🥰

Very lovely place. I like to order my lunch there because is very clean, personal who works are very polite and professional. Food is always served fresh and very tasty. Portion is very big and it is great value for money. I like to eat there and will visiting this place very often as usual.

The team are always super friendly and helpful! Zambrero has quickly become one of favourite spots for a quick, filling bite to eat! Would definitely recommend to anyone 😊

Above all else the service here is superb. Always greeted with a smile & how’s your day! The food is always of top quality not matter what you have. Always served to your liking with a range of extras & toppings. The Burrito Bowls are great quality & portion size. Can’t recommend this place highly enough

Had high hopes about this place I love a burrito. I ordered the big burrito feast, with barbacoa beef, white rice, cheese and black beans. It was really disappointing, still tasted good but really not worth the money. I paid £19 on Uber eats. You’re supposed to get double the meat and rice, I had so much rice and hardly any meat, it didn’t even seem like one portions worth it was just stuffed with rice. The flavours were there, but other than loads of rice there were hardly any other fillings, not much cheese, not many beans, and no meat. The chips had a chemically taste to them because of the weird seasoning on them. The guac was standard what you’d expect an average guac to be like. Not sure if it would be much better in person, but can’t comment on the service or atmosphere, although it was delivered really quickly. Save your money!

Really delicious Mexican food and big portions, so it's really filling. I had the bowl. Halal chicken is also an option on the menu. Excellent customer service from Josipa (i hope I'm getting the spelling correct) - she is a GEM!!

Ordered a regular beef burrito bowl and it will mostly filled with lettuce and air. Barely any meat and rice which were carefully measured with small scoop like spoons. Mexican fare is about being fully loaded not skimpy. The only upside is that the meat tasted delicious.

I got like a whole 10 beans in my burrito. The salsa tasted as it was past it's best before. 3rd best burrito place in town. Out of 3

Ordered my favourite pulled pork (carnitas) burrito on Deliveroo, but forget to select sour cream. Couldn't change my order on Deliveroo, so I rang the restaurant and they added it free of charge. The man I spoke to was very polite and helpful, thank you Zambrero keep on being awesome.

First time here, late on a Monday evening. Food is superior to other burrito outlets. Tastier and less greasy. Beef burrito was tremendous. Service was first class - especially by a young man named Toby. Very welcoming and created an excellent atmosphere. Highly recommend.

I am gluten free and the sales assistant was so kind and helpful; he showed me all the gf safe options and created the perfect burrito bowl for me. It tasted great too!

I recently moved to England for school and was really craving some Tex Mex food, which is one of my comfort foods back home in Canada. Found this lovely little restaurant while strolling along Reading, and I’m really glad I walked in! Service was amazing (the server went above and beyond for me, and I cannot express how grateful I am for his kindness) and the food was delicious. 10/10 will come back!

Delicious food no better Mexicans food in reading although the price is a little high it is defiantly worth it and every plate you eat one is donated so it makes you stomach and your soul happy.

I have been a loyal customer for a while now and have to say the service is always 10/10 and nicola has always been fantastic . The atmosphere is very chill but inviting and the loyalty program is a great touch. All the workers always give perfect customer service. Very friendly and kind.

Ordered an UberEats from here and I must say it was healthy and tasty at the same time. The bowls had a mix of veggies, beans, guac and sauces that really blended well. We also ordered a quesadilla which in spite of being delivered was not soggy. Probably one of the best Mexican places around reading.

Usually come here for lunch when I’m at the office for a healthy meal and friendly staff

I have only had the burrito, but after two really brilliant experien especially, I will certainly be back. Taste and presentation were perfect and the gentleman who served me was the epitome of friendliness and professionalism. Do pay them a visit soon.

Great service. The regular sized burrito is plenty to keep you full. Loved the chicken burrito and the flavoursome fillings.

Got a free meal from their street lucky draw campaign. The food was amazing, with tasty beans, guacamole, and chicken in it. Also, the service was great and the whole place was nice and clean.

manager is extremely rude and gives small portions of everything so don’t bother going there , plenty of other options such as tortilla and mission burrito. manager is stuck up and thinks he owns the place

I have never been to the actually store as I only order from home, but it has always been an excelent service, food gets here still warm and the packaging is the best I have seen, so clever for tacos so they don't break! I can eat mexican food without killing my taste buds as they do have options non spicy! Love it!

Went in for lunch. I had the rice bowl which was delicious. Just the portion was small. Other than that I really enjoyed it. Will be back soon. Highly recommend

Amazing food, delicious. I am someone who tried tacos and burritos at the age of 30. And now I am in love with the burritos..The food is always fresh here, the crew working always friendly. Now I come here once in every 2 weeks. The sitting area is always clean. You must come and try. Try the combo of black beans black rice and beef.. well done zambrero reading.. 👏👏

If you are looking for true Mexican food then this isn't the place for you. However the food is fresh and taste really good. However be aware that the amount of food in comparison to the price is awful at this place, especially when compared to other Mexican takeaways in the area. The price of the items isnt worth it in my opinion.

Was on office visit and then came out for lunch and found this amazing treasure. Had classic bowl of rice 🍚 black beens and Zam chicken and it’s mouth 👅 licking. I am loving it. Must try when you are in Reading high street.

Love Mexican food, but was really disappointed. Went for the classic bowl, the rice and the bean portions are incredible small (like 1.5 tablespoon of each ), then they put a ton of lettuce to make it seem full... The beef was nice. Don't think I will come back again.

Tastes like Mexican food? Meh, not really. But the flavours are really good and the black rice is a great and unusual option. Staff is super friendly too, the guy that made my bowl was super patient. Just missing nutritional information about kcal, fat, etc.

Went in to get two bowls and ended up with two bowls with a sprinkling of cheese and the lady wanted to fill the bowl with lettuce.The sour cream was limited to one teaspoon.Very disappointing service.Definitely first and last visit.

Truly delicious tacos. Recently went to Australia and Zambrero was a food highlight for me there, so am really glad to see the chain here too. The quality was near identical - I think you get a little more protein in Aussie perhaps, and there were more options of sauces and sides in Aussie, but still both of them taste really fresh and hit the spot, so I'm really glad and relieved it's the same. This branch is smaller than the Aussie ones, but appears to have the same main menu items. Price wise it was about £5 including drink which I think is good, especially given the climate, and compared to cooking and making it myself at home with an Old El Paso fajita kit. I did have to give my order twice as they shifted, and etiquette could be improved - similar to Aussie, but can't really complain tbh. It's the Aussie one that was out of stock, but this one was all good! I'll definitely be visiting again and I recommend it to anyone. I had the soft tacos with chicken, cheese, cream, lettuce, red onion, tomato, garlic sauce. Will probably try the vegetarian options in future as my veggie friend really likes the burritos.

I love the food and the brand but you need to do something about the speed of the service asap. Otherwise it will only be downhill from here. Place is already empty most of the time. Not sure what your marketing/opening strategy is but there seems to be general confusion about your offers and the awareness I think is low. The staff seems to be not very well informed either and there is a general lack of motivation in the air. Great potential otherwise.
