Buenasado Argentine Steakhouse - Reading in Reading

I recently enjoyed a meal at Buenasado with some work colleagues. The food and the service provided by both, Adrian and Diane, was outstanding. The quality of the produce served to us was second to none, particularly the rib-eye steak which was cooked to perfection. Highly recommend for any occasion.

As a lover of steak, this is not said lightly, that this is comfortably in the top 5 steakhouses I have ever eaten at. There is a great range of starters and deserts, either side of some of the most flavorsome steak. Would recommend the Fillet, which is excellent. The service is always spot on, I have been here 4 or 5 times now and nothing but friendly, approachable and attentive each time. Will be back again, and again, and again. Would encourage anyone to give it a try!

Last night, I had the pleasure of celebrating my boyfriend's birthday at Buenasado Argentine Steakhouse - Reading, and I can’t express how wonderful the experience was! From the moment we arrived, the staff, especially Brigita, went above and beyond to make our evening special. They surprised us by seating us at a lovely table with a leather couch without us even asking. The service was attentive and welcoming throughout the night, which really added to the overall atmosphere. As for the food, the breaded beef and medium-rare sirloin steak were absolutely delicious—cooked to perfection and quite filling! To top it all off, they surprised my boyfriend with a delightful scoop of ice cream for his birthday, which we both appreciated immensely. And as if that weren’t enough, when I asked for the bill, they treated us to limoncello shots! It was such a thoughtful gesture that truly made us feel celebrated. Thank you to everyone at Buenasado Argentine Steakhouse - Reading for making this birthday so memorable. We can't wait to return!

Delicious food, excellent staff service and lovely restaurant... we came when it was quiet but still a good atmosphere...

Very noisy. Steak and chips were OK but had to pay extra for vegetables or salad. I had salad and it was full raw onions which I don't eat, which spoilt the rest of the salad. Quite disappointing.

Great vibes every time we go here. Would definitely recommend.

Choosing a steak at a steakhouse and feeling disappointed, is not a good idea

We went for my husbands birthday. We had a couple of entries and the meat sharer plate all delicious. The only thing we did not like was the chocolate cake and Carlos immediately offered us to change it for another dessert. We will definitely go back.

Brilliant! Just lovely - we were a 6pm walk in and were welcomed as friends. Fabulous meal - the best Fillet I have had is some time. Certainly wins over many other ‘chain’ restaurants around here 😉

Really good atmosphere and service was also very attentive and high quality. The steak, sauces and sides here are really high quality, certainly fit for a special occasion. It’s a very discreet restaurant from the outside but they’re serving up brilliant food.

Needed a spot for a nice lunch with a good friend fairly last minute yesterday and these guys had availability. We couldn't fault anything. Friendly staff, great ribeye and a good malbec. Will be back.

My partner and I had a fantastic experience here last night! I mentioned it was our anniversary on the booking and we were treated exceptionally well by staff who wished us a happy anniversary, seated us in a private booth, and gave us a complementary glass of prosecco each! We had the beef empanadas and sirloin steak with fries which were absolutely delicious. Would definitely dine here again and highly recommend for a special occasion!

TLDR: Overall recommended, but skip the dessert to avoid disappointment. I went with my wife on Friday 23 August 2024 to celebrate her birthday. Service was excellent, the staff were very friendly, welcoming and attentive. The starters (calamari and aubergine escalope) were good, although not amazing. The mains on the other hand were outstanding. My wife had the rib-eye (Ancho), and I had fillet (Lomo). They were both done to perfection. Best steak I've had in a long time. The meat was beautifully soft and juicy. The fries and mash were good and the sauce (chimihurri) complemented the beef very well. We had marinated red pepper and broccoli side dishes. The peppers were good (although not my favourite). The broccoli was really good and the chillies were a welcome addition. We didn't have wine and instead tried an Argentinian beer called Alhambra, and we were glad we did. Nice pint. Given it was a birthday treat we decided to have a dessert. This was a mistake. The desserts were a disappointment. My wife had "home made" banoffee pie, she didn't finish it as it wasn't very good.I had chocolate fudge cake with vanilla ice cream. I ate mine but was distinctly underwhelmed. The cake was firm, borderline stale. Sadly the experience was let down by the desserts. It was surprising given the quality of the main course. We spent £149.85 including £16.65 gratuity. I would visit again, but will skip dessert.

Tried this place on a whim and was very impressed by the comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Try the aubergine and goats cheese.

The steak is the tastiest I've ever tasted. Unbelievable taste, but prepared exactly as I asked. The service was incredible as well. The prices are not cheap, but it's worth it. Thank you for my most delicious steak!

We have been coming here for several years as a family and on date nights. Always amazing food and service! We came on my son’s birthday and they made it a truly special occasion! The staff are a credit to the management and the management are just awesome! We will be back really soon! ❤️

I was take to Buenasado, last night for a Meal on my Birthday I had an 11oz Ribeye steak with I have to say was the best steak I've ever had in and around Reading We were a party of 4 and everyone of us said the same I had the crispy calamari to start which was equally as good The staff were friendly and attentive and couldn't do enough to make it a really great experience Worth every penny Excellent food and service, can't fault Thank you

I recently had the pleasure of visiting an Argentine steakhouse, and I must say that the experience was remarkably positive. From the moment we entered, the décor and atmosphere enveloped us in a warm and welcoming environment. Every detail was meticulously thought out, from the rustic wooden tables to the soft lighting that created an intimate and relaxing setting. The music, featuring a mix of genres including jazz, pop, and ambient background tunes, perfectly complemented the dining experience, enhancing the overall enjoyment and relaxation. The service was exceptional. The staff was always attentive and courteous, ready to offer us accurate recommendations. As is my habit, I asked which dishes were the restaurant's specialties, and the suggestions we received were spot-on, enhancing our overall experience. The quality of the food met our expectations. Although the prices were somewhat high, reflecting the restaurant's premium positioning, the quality and flavor of the dishes justified the investment. Most of the options we chose were delicious. We started with the chef's salad, which, though well-presented, turned out to be the weakest point of the evening. It lacked a bit of flavor and dynamism, a touch of boldness to make it stand out. The main course consisted of a selection of meats, allowing us to sample four different types. The ribeye garnered all the praise, being the best choice of the night, but all the meats were perfectly cooked, with precise doneness and exquisite flavor. Overall, the experience at this Argentine steakhouse was highly satisfying. The service, décor, atmosphere, and quality of the food make this place a highly recommendable option. I would certainly return to enjoy another evening at this restaurant.

This restaurant is on the walkway as you step out of the Oracle heading towards the Taxi's .The team accomodated us well for our daughter's graduation celebration including the cake & balloon delivery.It truly felt like the special occassion it was.The food was great,customer services very good.The only thing is that we felt rushed,there was quite a lot of us & the hour & 45mins wasn't long enough..

Some lovely garlicy toast nibbles came with the table. The starters were good but VERY stingy. The main course meats were excellent (we had the multi-cut sampler), halal, and came with a lovely selection of sauces and sides. Good selection of non-alcoholics drinks.

Food was OK. Service wash OK. Nothing special but passable considering they price.

Visited this place on the 23rd July and can't wait to go back already! The waitress was extremely attentive and very welcoming. We had the rump steak and was the best steak we have had bar none (we have been to gauchos and Hawksmoor). Was cooked to perfection. Very reasonably priced too. Would highly recommend this place.

Diana was lovely today and was so informative about which food/sauces are halal. The mash was creamy and delicious, will hopefully visit again :)

One of the best restaurants in Reading. If you want a premium experience or to impress a date, this is the perfect spot.

Amazing steak, the best I have had in a restaurant

Went here for a meal with work, the food was excellent but the tables are very close together and it feels a bit over crowded. It was expensive for what it is, probably not somewhere I would go if I was paying myself.

Had a great time with family, what I can say about quality of foods and the atmosphere on top level, and the service I had there was outstanding and so pleasant! Lovely food and excellent service

Unfortunately didn't get any pictures :( the food was incredible. We attended as part of a work "outing" the atmosphere in the place was great, views for middle of a city were great of the river etc and the service was great. The manager of the restaurant, I assume, was very funny and witty. Service was fast and the choice of food was great. I had 4 different steaks cooked to absolute perfection on a board, all different cuts of meat and you coulf cut them with a pen if you wanted too, so tender! Would 100% make the effort to revisit even considering I live 140miles away!

Most delicious, tender rump steak we've ever had! 😍 Out of this world!! Great lunch value 2 course for £17.95, we had rump steak and chips, and a mango and passionfruit cheesecake 😋 I mentioned on the booking it was my son's birthday. The waiter brought a surprise scoop of ice cream with a candle and sang happy birthday. That was very sweet! 🎂🍧 I can't wait to go back! 😜

Amazing service and food highly recommend

I recently went to Burnasado for a meal with my partner. We had three courses with all of them being absolutely delicious. The staff were super friendly and helpful throughout the service. The only downside was we originally had been sat outside but across from our table (not in the restaurant) was about 10-15 rats run around the river which wasn’t very nice at all so we did have to move inside but they carted for us and allowed us to move. Would be good if they could try and clean this up a bit as it wouldn’t take much for a rat to walk around to the restaurant as it was connected

2nd time here in a large group and it has been incredible both times. Service has been great despite a large group and the steaks cooked perfectly. Highly recommended the filet steak and the calamari!

Good location of restaurant. Confusing menu when it comes to sharing platter; it states a price and says minimum two people but that means each (eg 29.50 for the platter on menu but for minimum two people so 59 in total, could’ve been easier to price the platter at 59 pounds) Starter was calamari which was extremely cold on the inside so wasn’t defrosted properly. Went on a Friday night with a booking and it was busy, however we did book and got seated by the front of house table and the door which banged every time it opened or closed. We requested another table and the host stated it was the only one available (but for other people coming in he managed to negotiate a good table downstairs). The main course was good. We did not want to stay for dessert as it was too noisy and it seems they try to fit people everywhere and anywhere which means the restaurant it’s too noisy even to have a conversation. And the sofas on the tables upstairs are too low for the tables. Wouldn’t come back because of service and atmosphere. Food is good though, maybe would recommend not on a busy day to try and see if service changes.

Mediocre, not great and slightly overpriced but not awful either. I had a sirloin steak and it was rather tough and chewy, not exactly the melt in your mouth kind of steak that one would expect for the price. The mashed potatoe was good and my friend enjoyed his burger and fries. We skipped the wine, because let's be honest £9 for a glass of cheap plonk from the tesco over the road is rather unpalatable to my wallet these days. I can't complain about the staff, they did their job adequetly although we were left to locate the coat hangars and hang our own coats up so that really worked against their tip value. At the end of the meal I was ready to hand a tip to our waitress but they tried to add a 15% 'service charge' to our bill. That was enough for me to politely explain to them that this is not America and had it removed (imo everyone in the UK should stand against this nonsence). Would I go back ? Maybe I would but I'm not in a hurry to do so.

Went here for my birthday and was not disappointed. The staff were very friendly and attentive which makes a big difference. Had a starter of chorizo which really tasty and flavoursome. We shared a platter steak which was immense, rump, ribeye, sirloin and fillet. You probably get 100g per cut so is definitely worth it. Was fantastic to try all four cuts. Complemented this with the house red which was a malbec. The drinks menu covers beer, ale, white wine, red wine, champagne and soft drinks. Probably spent 2.5hrs here, didn't feel.rushed at all and enjoyed the evening. I would say the best steak in Reading by far and is superior to Miller and Carter (is slightly more expensive). Would recommend going here for lunch or dinner. We did book just to be on the safe side. Also has dining outside which caters for 6-8 tables.

Went on a Friday night. It was really busy and quite loud. We had the steak platter which was good and the steakhouse fries were fantastic.. the creamed spinach was also really good. We had the mushroom, bearnaise and chimichurri sauces but preferred the steak on its own with some salt and pepper. Service was very good.

Very fine steaks of every size and cut. The deserts are of a similar quality. If you're looking for something other than a steak, the choice is quite limited.

We went to Buenasado for a birthday party, my partner is Legally Blind which we mentioned in our booking as we wanted a table with good lighting for his vision. Upon arrival they allowed us to pick any table that would suit his needs, despite knowing he can't see they still handed him menus and didn't treat him differently too much which I actually appreciate and respect as normally people hand me a menu and will make a comment similar to "he doesn't need one" but Buenasado's did it right! Great selection of food, when ordering our food we asked if my partner's steak could be cut up as he struggles to do this himself, they didn't hesitate and when the meal arrived he was so happy that he didn't have to 'inconvenience' me by having me spend a few minutes cutting it while my food goes cold (This is the usual which I don't mind at all, but bothers him quite a bit) I must also add, when they brought over our drinks they took his hand and guided it to the glass without us saying anything, 10/10! I can't stress the amount of times a server has put a glass in front of him without saying anything before I can notice/move it just for him to karate chop it into another person or all over the table, what an amazing way to help him! The food was genuinely very lovely, I had a burger while he had a steak which I may or may not have had a nibble of and it was the nicest steak I've had! Menu was greatly laid out and had a lovely variety. Desserts were very nice too which a lot to choose from. When ordering our food the server helped with recommendations on what went well with the food (Sauces, drinks) and would advise on how best the steak should be cooked for maximum flavour which is great when you're trying something for the first time. I'd genuinely go back to Buenasado's again not just for the lovely food, but for how friendly and accommodating the staff were.

We have visited a few times, most recently yesterday evening. Food was delicious. Service great. My only suggestion would be for more options to be available as included sides with the steaks, its only a choice between something potato based and a salad.

Great steakhouse! Had a few meals here and we have always really enjoyed it. Nice tables set up.

A delicious meal of rib eye steak and thick cut chips, followed by the banoffee pie. The beef empanadas were also a great start to the meal.

Been here lots of times and only one time where it disappointed us with undercooked (blood red) and the second time overcooked (grey and chewy). Busy atmosphere. Other than that, had quite a good experience every other time. Should try the desert and steak sauces when you’re there.

This is without a doubt the best restaurant in Reading, the foot is outstanding, staff is very polite the lady that took our order served us with a smile on her face. The atmosphare is nice, intimate - which makes it a perfect place for a date with your partner/ loved one but also great for fanily dinner & special occassion. This isn’t my first time at Buenasado and it won’t be my last, I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough.

What can I say? i went 2 night in a row to eat the spiral rib-eye steak. I will be back again next time I am in Reading.

If you are fancy for a halal steak in Reading this is the place to go . The stuffs will tell you which one is halal all the steaks are halal actually. Kids friendly they do have kids menu too .

What can I say - really delicious steak!!

Good steaks but quite expensive

The steak was just alright not worth the price. The atmosphere was horrible. A few people in the back just staring at my family and I while we ate. There was nothing warm or welcoming about this place. I felt bad that I was the one that suggested to try this place. Never again.

First time here and Carlos did a fabulous job in welcoming me and showing me the steaks. Also Jaro who really looked after me to make sure my experience was the best - which it was. Both Jaro and Carlos are a credit to the restaurant - they really know how to treat diners and make their dining experience awesome! The steaks were amazing! Couldn't fault a single thing. They were juicy, well cooked and great quality. The fries were also brilliant. I sat downstairs and enjoyed the ambience and seeing the open kitchen with great chefs showing passion in their cooking I cannot wait to come back again, thanks! Gary Mander

Food was great, service fantastic and the place was buzzing. Only issue was the table for six was really small. Place was full otherwise I'd have asked to move. Minor grumble, but knocks a star due to the lack of space.

Food was fantastic and the steak was tender and perfectly cooked. Not the quietest of restaurants but not exclusively noisy. My only minor criticism is that there was no break between courses, as soon as one finished the next was on the table.

Go here for the rib-eye steaks. They are absolutely excellent. The malbec wines are a bit too young to compliment them, so I'd recommend their merlots, which are soft and generous.

We were taken here by a vendor and I can honestly say that it was one of the best fillet steaks I have had. The broccoli with chillis were fantastic and the mango and passion fruit dessert was great too, as was the chorizo Al Malbec starter. Thoroughly recommended 👌👍

The atmosphere and service was amazing! The front staff were very helpful and made sure we were comfortable. The food was good and deffo worth the price.

Steaks were incredible, so was bearnaise, my favourite meat sauce! Starters were fantastic. Churros were undercooked but other deserts were good.
