Typically I'm a very picky eater, but I cleared my plate. Absolutely phenomenal food, and incredibly friendly staff. 10/10, will dine again

We had an amazing dinner here last Thursday! We love the food, our ramem cravings was satisfied. It was delicious and served warm. The serving is generous and looked fancy. Definitely loved the California Rolls, Aubergine Ramen and Miso Lamb Ramen! Shout out to all the Staff who were so cheerful, polite and friendly Filipino kababayans! Salamat mga Kuya. Will surely come back to try other dishes. Well done Intoku!

This Japanese/filipino Restaurant tops off all my previous go to restaurants…. honestly one of one fav spot in reading. staff were so kind and welcoming… service on point! Delicious foods! Definitely recommend the ramens and sushi rolls!

Big sushi lover and its the best I’ve had. They were even kind enough to give me half and half of two different flavours from the usumaki menu. I went for the california rolls and the Rainbow rolls. Really really good!

Staff were incredibly kind to accommodate us upstairs with a little one. Service was quick and good was good. We had the ramen.

We made our way here after seeing the menu and pricing on their website. Unfortunately the prices for some items have increased 50% (eg salmon nigiri from £3.80 to £5.50!). We were just told sorry, the website is not updated, take it or leave it. Also noticed the selection is really poor - only 4 types of nigiri in total. Any serious Japanese restaurant will have at least 10. Didn’t get to try the food given the disappointing price discrepancy and the poor nigiri selection.

Food was OK, cocktail were fine, the halo-halo was mostly ice and worst part of it all, there was ice left in the Espresso martini which was soo bitter too. Requested the service charge to be removed, paid the 80 pounds. Got Marugame Udon on the way home, soo much better for the price

The spicy seafood ramen never misses, filled with all sorts of beauty, highly recommend, Lofi music in the background making you feeling like time isn’t real, this mixed with the food is a blessing.

Fantastic food, nice atmosphere, friendly staff, good service. Generally really high quality. Expensive for what you get though, and served in cold bowls so needed to eat quickly. Otherwise good and worth trying.

Have eaten here several times. Consistently excellent hot food you can see being prepared in the kitchen and very speedy service. A really nice selection of different drinks. Eel is a really hard dish to cook properly but it is always done right. The dishes are very well presented and portions are generous.

Need finer ice for the Halo-Halo, was a little pricey else was very nice

Everything was really good, both the California roll and the red dragon. The ramen was simply spectacular and the chicken leg inasal, a typical Filipino dish, was impressive.

This place could get 5* if anything I'd like to give it 4.5...here's why! Quantity: Good Quality: Fantastic, including the nice variety and assortment of things you can get. All tasty!! Price: Overpriced...yes it tastes great but it's still over priced no question. Even for UK standard price per sushi piece it's way above than others even considering how tasty. Still loved this place though!

Sauces were really nice with the meal. Best buffalo wings I’ve had and my partner is vegan, she said it was the crunchiest tofu she’s had. Nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. Would definitely come back!

I just had a great meal here! The food was really good, and I enjoyed every bite. The people were friendly and made the experience even better. The atmosphere was nice and perfect for hanging out. I’ll definitely be back and would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice place to eat! Halo halo is a must try dessert!

Food was absolutely delicious and of high quality for a good price

I will definitely not be coming back. I had been to the one in Windsor, which was good, but the quality of the food here was terrible, especially the sashimi and nigiri. The salmon and tuna either seemed very old or were a different type of fish with some colouring added. It all looked very suspicious. I’m so glad I didn’t get food poisoning. The bill was £96, and we only had two pints of beer, so it’s certainly not cheap enough to excuse the poor quality.

Food is delicious and worth a visit. But they do not accept tastecard, even they appeared on the tastecard website and no one answers the phone. We were told that they opted out from tastecard when we visited there.

I think this is my new favorite Japanese food restaurant in Reading! The food is amazing, great price and really good portions. Lovely Staff as well. Made us feel super welcome right from the moment we walked in.

It's okay for the food quality if you consider they are Asian cuisine but not Japanese restaurant. It's quite often to be told the food on the menu is out of stock. The staff are nice and serve well, however, the overall environment was so noisy that we could not easily communicate with the staff and even within our table.

Generous portions, relaxing atmosphere and delicious food

Wonderful food, though the rice was a little sour. Service a bit distracted, but was great to be left alone for most of our meal. Loved the decoration, bossa music, and food presentation!

We visited the restaurant last Sunday for a quick bite and a cold beer, as the weather was unusually hot. The menu posted outside clearly stated that they serve draft beer (pints) for £6.85, which was exactly what we were after, so we decided to give it a try. Once seated, we ordered our food, and when I asked for two draft beers, the waiter informed us that they no longer offer draft beer—only bottled beer at the same price. Since we had already ordered food, we reluctantly went with the bottled beer at £6.85, which felt overpriced. To make matters worse, the beer arrived warm, as if it had only just been placed in the fridge. While I can't fault the food, which was delicious and clearly made by a talented chef, the overall experience was disappointing. I felt misled as a customer. If draft beer is no longer available, it should be removed from the menu, and the price for bottled beer should be adjusted accordingly.

Treated my Filipino mother to lunch at Intoku and was completely satisfied. She couldn't stop praising the sauce we had with our delicious chicken inasal. It is also my favourite place to get a halo-halo. Bonus: the staff are friendly and the service is prompt!

I have to say that I will not be returning. The team were friendly and helpful. So my partner and son have eaten here at lunch and enjoyed it so we decided to have dinner there after the cinema. They had two donburi dishes which I found under seasoned and practically cold. Their breaded chicken was dry and overcooked and I hazard a guess and say the portion of chicken was no more than 80 grams with little or no garnish or flavour in the rice.Saying that the traditional curry sauce with one of them was tasty and hot.. I had the lamb ramen, and I still don’t know why.. The lamb cutlets in were simply old and had turned, and I know this is picky but even had they been fresh no one had bothered to trim them so if I had tried to eat them from a broth with chopsticks it would have been a recipe for disaster.. The concept is good but sorry the delivery was shocking and it is definitely not a restaurant I will be going back to. Ps the prices are fairly standard for Reading but £11.50 for a large glass of wine is top end..
