Had an amazing meal at Zamana! I tried the mixed grill, which included chicken malai tikka, lamb chops, and chicken harra, and every single item was absolutely delicious. The flavours were spot on, with each dish perfectly cooked and seasoned. The lamb chops were tender, the chicken malai tikka was creamy and flavorful, and the chicken harra had a nice spice to it. Highly recommended if you’re looking for authentic, well-prepared Pakistani cuisine!

I can’t believe that they did give us an old mango lassi it was disgusting 🤮 . we had a baby of 17 months they didn’t think about that the baby may have some and get sick!! After we said the mango lassi tasted weird they panicked they changed it and it was fine and they were coming to ask us and find excuses like ah sorry maybe because we didn’t add sugar oh also we used mango with skin! but actually the mango lassi was really bitter.

One of the best restaurants I have visited in East London. Not only is the food amazing but so is the service. The atmosphere is great with nice decor and a good choice of music. The food is delicious, my favourite being nihari, malai tikka boti, achari gosht, papri chaat and ras malai cake. The nihari is the best I have ever had. 10/10, would highly recommend if youre looking for authentic Pakistani food.

ordered lamb chops and Lahore tikka boti and they made to perfection.Chicken karahi was good but need bit more improvement as it was bit dry.Achari Lamb was perfect.Naan were really tasty and thick as well.

It’s overrated and food wasn’t good. Ordered chicken sajji: complete waste of money ( it was overcooked dry, without any flavour and smell in the chiken) Neheri was edible but defunct not fresh, Nans were soaking in ghee. Pina colada: not in pineapple advertised and tasted like tropical juice blended with ice. Never again…

This could be the best Lahori fish I've ever tried to date! I checked out @zamanarestaurant which has a full Pakistani menu but then do a banging Pina colada - I'm so glad I ordered this because not only was it quality, served in a pineapple like that, really refreshing. From the starters you cannot miss that Lahori fish. This is probably the nicest fried desi fish I've had. Quality. Mixed grill was a good sharer too. Another hit item was the Keema Naan which was authentic. This was just like the ones I've had in Pakistan and loved that authenticity. For mains they have a good selection of karahi's and we got the chicken karahi. Haleem was pretty decent and biryani was nice too. We went on a weekday and they were quite busy so best to check especially if you're going in a big group. Also love that there's a masjid less than a minute away 🙏🏽

I can’t believe how some peoplea are giving 5 start reviews - most likely inside job. Portion size for adults were so small, even my baby was still hungry after eating his lamb biryani. They need to close this shop down. waste of money. Very pricey for these small funny portions. Try Saffron street instead. better portions in saffron street which is right around the corner.

Order was not even delivered and when I called the restaurant they said they will contact the driver and call me back, they didn't. And when I tried to call them back, they put me on messaging service. Ridiculous.

Amazing samosa chaat and mixed grill

Yesterday, we went there for takeaway and in the food we found one insect , I don't know kind of insect that was, definitely the food is not freshly made ....terrible and the smell of oil used was awful.

Amazing food by far the best in London!

We used Zamana for a catering event at home and not easy to find super decent quality food that would cater for groups as low and was totally priced reasonable and super affordable. If you’re hosting a family event or any size gathering , highly recommend speaking to them about catering as the food tastes super nice and very delicious. Order was ready spot on time for collection and they helped transport it to the car. Great experience and will be using again after a previous restaurant said to me they don’t cater unless it’s 50 heads and Zamana were very flexible

Service bad restaurant tooo noisy at 1 point o thought it was a day centre for toddler’s

I booked a table for 1pm, me and my friend arrived, but the restaurant was not open at 1pm. We waited around, after 15 minutes we saw someone mopping up inside, but doors remain locked. We pushed on the door to get the persons attention, he did not bother to come to the door, despite being near the door. He was making some hand signals, but was not bothered whether we went or not. Very rude.

Absolutely fantastic food, every cut of meat was tender and cooked to perfection 10/10 service. Brother Shahid (owner) was hands on, serving and talking to all the customers, he was working very very hard to make sure everyone was happy. Great food great atmosphere do give it a try. Very bad experience no costumer service at all.we ordered samosa chat as a stater and repeated three times but they didn't gave even at end.Meat wasnt tender.Really disappointed

Starters: Satisfactory Mains: The chicken and keema dishes were extremely flavoursome. Drinks: I was a disappointed with the lychee mocktail. It was on the expensive side and had added sugar to an extremely sugary drink. Overall: Good service and good food. I would recommend getting curry and biriani.

Yesterday, we visited Zamana, a Pakistani cuisine restaurant, and had a delightful experience with a few exceptions. Starters: We began our meal with Channa Chaat and Masala Chips. Both were delicious and well-prepared, setting a positive tone for the evening. Grill Starters: We tried the Lamb Seekh Kebab and Lamb Tikka. Both dishes were flavorful and cooked to perfection, making them a highlight of the starter menu. House Specials: The Sikandri Lamb Shank was exceptional. Cooked to perfection, it was tender and rich in flavor, truly a standout dish. Curries: We ordered Keema Aloo and Butter Chicken. While the Keema Aloo was delicious and satisfying, the Butter Chicken was disappointing. It lacked the creaminess that one would expect from a good Butter Chicken and tasted more like a standard chicken curry. Biryani and Sides: The Lamb Biryani was underwhelming. We have had better Biryani elsewhere. However, the Garlic Naan and Pilau Rice were excellent, complementing the main dishes well. Kids Meal: The kids' meal was decent, serving its purpose without any particular highlights or complaints. Desserts: The dessert was the absolute highlight of our meal. The Gajar Ka Halwa was amazing—one of the best we have ever had. It was the perfect ending to our dining experience. Overall, Zamana offers a mixed experience. While some dishes were outstanding, others did not meet our expectations. However, the exceptional Gajar Ka Halwa and several other highlights make it worth a visit.

Quality and consistent food as ever (my fourth time here this year alone!). Food was delivered quickly and hot

Apart from the gol gape the rest of the food was not very nice, considering the price the food certainly needed to be better. I physically felt sick after I got home. I was really looking forward to the bun kebabs but I don't know what they served, you can't call it Pakistani street food if you can't make bun kebabs.

Enjoy my daughter’s 16th bday at Zamana. The staff were lovely and went out of their way to make it special for her.

The food here is the best Pakistani food i have ever had in a restaurant. It’s like home made food. Really wanted to meet the chef to compliment his dishes. Tanya looked after us well. Such a lovely lady with excellent customer service skills. You must try this place out. The price is also reasonable.

Been here 3 times but this evening will be my last time im eating here. Food was not fresh and most likely 1 - 2 days old. Ordered there chef special meat and chicken currys and it was hard to tell which was which as they both had no taste and didn’t seem fresh. Toilet was smelly!

We booked a table for 5. We arrived later then our booking, but were greeted with a sile and seated swiftly. Nice choice of starters and mains. The pintails sounded nice but we didn’t try on this occasion. Food was nicely presented and tasted good. Mosque nearby if you happen to be visiting at Salah time! Staff mdr sure we received all that we had ordered, and even came to ask if everything was okay, and what we thought. We liked it, and will go back again…now it’s your turn 😊

My new number 1 for a mixed grill. Quality and utterly delicious. Every item on here was top. The curries were superb. The meat juicy and tender. Lastly the naan was soft and fresh with a nice bit of crunch. To top it off you get a free refills of Karak chai after your first purchase The venue was well decorated not your typical venue, a must try

Easily the best pakistani restaurant in the area. Firstly, the staff go above and beyond to make sure you receive the best possible service. We've been here a couple of times now, on this occasion we ordered a takeaway. There was a mix up with our order but the staff were quick to put it right. Hands down the best butter chicken and chast around. If you haven't been, definitely try this place out. Amazing value too at a time where other restaurants are charging extortionate prices for sub par food.

Horrible resturant don't ever visit there. Terrible customer service. Manager and waiters are aggressive and shameless. Manager argued when food was under cooked and didn’t value customers at all. We were there last night, it was fifteen of us. Food was served super late, waiters were ignoring us. Butter chicken was under cooked and chicken was raw. My other friends were served cold food, terrible unwashed salad. We came back hungry and disappointed. Refrain from going there.

This was our 1st time at Zamana. We were a bit disappointed almost in every category. The young lady taking the order and serving us was terrific. She tried her best to make sure everything was good. The starters were to a good standard. The masalla fish was very good, maybe slightly under fried, therefore making it a little on the soft side instead of being a crispy batter. The lamb chops were decent, too. Had they been a bit warmer, they would have been great. The mojitos were well made. The mango lassi a tad on the thick side. (Tasted nice, though) The Nehari, I am afraid, was a total letdown. InshahAllah will go back again because I am sure they deserve a second chance.

Food is mediocre and the service is atrocious.

We have been here about 20 times in the past 2 years, whether it be for a celebration, work do or an impulsive bite to eat. The quality of the food is second to none, one of the best Pakistani restaurants in the area. It has become our local and we always bring family and friends here to dine.

Naan size is Puri size and no salad or raita u have to buy it separately.ridiculous

We went for iftar. The food is very good so there is no complaints, however the service is ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. Where to begin. The person who I assume is the owner was very passive aggressive and seemed like he was annoyed to serve me and my family, and he was doing us a favour by coming over after calling him 3 times. It took 4 times of us asking to get them to take out order for iftar, and we were told the food would take 40 mins. If they took our order the first time we would’ve had our food. The staff are purposefully avoiding eye contact and need to be asked multiple times for basic things. I had to ask 5 times for an update on the roti and naan. The first 4 times the question was ignored and never answered. Only on the 5th time they asked “oh we didn’t realise you wanted it NOW” and it was brought 15 mins later. Keep in mind this is a Pakistani restaraunt and we ordered a mixed grill and Chana. Obviously roti/naan is essential and should be the first thing brought out rather than the last. They need 5 more chefs and 6 more waiters. I wish i could say I will return as the food was very good but the service quality will never allow me to go back.

Visited Zamana with my family of five for Iftar and couldn't have asked for a better experience. Despite the restaurant being incredibly busy, the service was nothing short of amazing. The staff was attentive and ensured that our food arrived on time, allowing us to open our fast as planned. Speaking of the food, it was absolutely delicious! The flavors were authentic, rich, and truly representative of Pakistani cuisine. Each dish was prepared to perfection, leaving us all deeply satisfied and eager to return. Highly recommend Zamana to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience and a taste of authentic Pakistani food. A well-deserved 5 stars!

One of the worst restaurant I had the misfortune to visit with my family for dinner. I had read about the poor service but didn’t how dreadful it was. It took them nearly 2 hours for the food to arrive! Starving, we’re about to leave then the food arrived. We ordered Tawa platter which wasn’t good, filled mostly with kebabs and nothing else. For the second dish, we ordered half a kilo lamb karai with nan and pilao rice, which arrived late with mostly bones and doubt it was half a kilo. It seems they don't employ enough staff in the kitchen. Worse, they even charged me for 'service' which was terrible, without my knowledge.

Went for iftar during Ramadan. They are so stingy. Quantity is so bad that only one person can have one curry. Tarka dhaal was so blend and hard to eat. Never going to this place again. Horrible experience

Knew there might be a problem with the staff taking orders from reading couple of the reviews but didn't know how bad it was! We waited for nearly 2 hours for our second order after ordering the first item, which was Tawa Grill sharing platter, and it wasn't that good and nor added variety of items. At the same time, we also ordered half-kilo Karai lamb curry, nans & pilao rice. After having tawa platter, which didn't fill our appetite, we were waiting desperately for the second order to arrive. I had to speak to the staff 3 times to enquire as to what had happened to that and they kept saying 'it's coming'. When it did arrive, nearly after 2 hours, it was likely to be less than half-kilo and made mostly of bones! As it wasn't enough to go around, and to have new order would take ages to arrive, some family members left the table and it was just one person have the karai! The restaurant employs very few staff both in the kitchen and in the waiting. Never had that experience in any restaurant that I had been to. On top of the poor service, the bill included a 'service charge' what an insult! Avoid if you can.

Never really liked Pakistani food being a Bangladeshi, however this restaurant was chosen by all my mates and boy after eating here it has changed my perception of pakistani food (Amazing) Beautiful it was 10/10 With it being ramadan also normaly restaurants make the food wayyyy tooo early and gets all soggy etc and never really good but they made sure all the food came out after the call of azan and all was fresh piping 🔥. 1 of my mates ordered butter chicken curry and i couldnt stop laughing at him because i tried butter chicken dishes in the past and have always been dead/bland and boring but after having tasted their dish i instantly fell in love. The grill platter was packed full of different meats all tasting uniquely divine with every bite. We had also ordered keema curry, pickled lamb curry and ofcourse the butter chicken curry with butter naans all tasted amazing 👏 Thank you team for an amazing evening will definitely be back with family. 100% Recommended

Absolutely poor booking system left frustrated and angry. The restaurant and management doesn’t care and doesn’t even take ownership over the mismanagement. We booked a reservation online and after a few minutes received a confirmation email of our reservation accepted. Just to be sure I tried calling twice , first time it goes to VM and then second time none picks up. So I thought fine I got an email confirming my reservation so I make my way there. Once there I’m told they don’t have a reservation for me even though I show them the reservation email and showed them how I made the reservation. As I was showing them my email, I noticed they sent a reservation cancel 20 mins before I arrived. They provided no explanation for it, no apology, no rectification , the manager was too cowardly to come out to address the situation . What was laughable was another customer came in with the exact same problem and gave him the same response. Warning this restaurant will double book and over book and cancel you last minute and will take no ownership of their faulty system. It was our first time going there and definitely won’t be returning nor recommending. I have never felt so frustrated and angry with such a sorry excuse of an restaurant. No attempt to rectify, no apology, left with family and kids searching else where for iftar.

Food is super tasty 10/10 but the service is opposite of that, the staff is very slow and needs to be active. I felt like staff should’ve trained, u Need to keep on asking for your order which is so embarrassing. We literally got our order on the table after an hour which was too late. Other than that the food was scrumptious.

The food here is absolutely delicious! Every dish i tried was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. Adding on to that there is so far nothing on the menu which i dont find amazing as i come in every day for dinner and have tried literally all the items on the menu,the staff and environment is really nice and friendly specially hassan,would really highly recommend for a single person and as well as for family dine out experience.

A gem in Gants Hill, authentic Pakistani food. I can’t fault a thing here, my second time here. The food is authentic, delicious and fresh. The service is great, always welcoming and catering to families, children and happy to help take some photos and offer us cutlery to cut cake during celebrations. After a long wait of wanting to visit, I finally took the opportunity. I started off with samosa chat, which I will say is enough for two. We also ordered the lahori Tawa platter. Good enough for 4. This is what I call in today's day and age a good portion for it price. I do like the fact that everything ordered was made fresh. For desert was gajar halwa and ice cream. For me, there has only ever been one persons hand I could have this dish from. But today, I thought I'd try it and where the look did not appeal to me, but after that first spoon full. It had changed my mind, still not as good as and may Allah bless this man. Overall, I'm glad even though I waited, I finally got the chance to try zamana. Nice setting, friendly staff and most importantly freshly cooked food. I would recommend you try this restaurant.

Had a birthday lunch for a group of 16. Everyone really enjoyed the food, especially the XL tawa which was great value and presented beautifully. We ordered 3 of those with curries and that was more than enough for all of us. The service was good, they made extra effort for the celebrations with the music and candles for the birthday girl that went down well. The family had a great time, especially mum with kids so we'll definitely be back. Only thing I'd like is a bigger plate!
