TAJ Grill in Redbridge

First time trying food here, its 10/10 Really trained staff, Served by a really hardworking girl,

I tried daal tarka i can say that it was 10/10.

I have never eat food before like that, highly recommended for everyone.

What has changed? In a few years returning Things have got so worse Staff are rude and feels very low standards from 8 years ago when I was here There are small details which makes you think the king of Ilford lane why it has suffered Failing to keep up with competition and refurb. I hope management takes my comments seriously as I want taj to b great again 1. Cheap written signs saying take away order Needs to go away.. Buy one. Makes you look like a cheap chicken shop.. 2. Posters footf and drink kor allowed signs up front and prices for sauces... No one put these signs up. Image looks bad 3. Refurb- needs refurb instead this red and black.. Design is like 10 Years ago 4. staff - needs to have better staff ( current front staff feel not good enough) Lost its family appeal Was kind of rude Maybe not intentional but small details 5. Open kitchen - one of the appeals was the open kitchen, you see the cooking prepared They have now covered it up. I think small changes could make it better I hope management don't take any offence I know how a bad review can upset. I hope use my comments to improve It will come back strong I will return inshallah regularly

Lady staff behavior waas so rude and pathtic waiting for ordeeing more than 20min many times ask her take order but she ignored and showing attitude.i like fish taste of yours always coming from Wembley just to taste your fish very disoppointed went back without food bcz of that rude staff..

This place is amazing it has really nice Pakistani food which is very delicious and yummy

Used to be really good, now feels like just any other establishment, they didn't have a meat delivery therefore the dishes we wanted and travelled there for, were unavailable!

I entered the restaurant at 110.55pm. Order a biryani which just needs to be microwaved for a few minutes but waited for 30 minutes and did not get served, had to leave. Another table of 4 customers left the restaurant as well after waiting for 40 minutes and they did not get served. Restaurant was not even busy, 3 staffs in the kitchen along with 2 waitress, they are just chatting in the kitchen ignoring the customers and did not show any care and respect for the customers. The business is definitely loosing both customers and sales.

Grilled chicken was raw. This is after I sent it back the first time for being undercooked. Absolutely shocking!

Food and staff both are so good

Staff is very nice they always accommodate us in a welcoming way. I appreciate they are nice and friendly. We are regular customers and food is very nice they have different options of food and everything is up to the mark staff and service both are good. A must visit place.

Please avoid this place at all costs. The staff were unprofessional and didn’t seem to care about providing good service. I placed a booking on Friday and turned up for iftar they mentioned I did not have a booking later to be seated downstairs after 15mins of waiting. Order was placed but the food turned up after an hour of waiting which past iftar time. They also gave more nan bread which wasn't ordered. Very poor dining place. The ladies were more focused on a large group of guys instead of any other customers waiting for their food. Overall a very long wait and highest disorganised. Definitely would suggest need customer service training for all staff. Will be reporting this to food hygiene agency to investigate as the quality of the place is extremely poor and dirty premisis.

I visited taj grill with family recently for iftRlar and dinner and trust me !! We enjoyed so much. Their food quality and quantity was top notch. Never have tried this quality food before. My personal favourite was their Fried Fishh and Tawaa!! Loved it. Staff was very welcoming and sweet. Great place for food.

Disappointing Experience – Dishonest Service I ordered the Mini Platter and Lamb Tikka Masala from Taj Grill, but instead of lamb, they served mutton without informing us. When we questioned them, they blatantly lied about it. This kind of dishonesty is unacceptable, especially when customers expect transparency about what they are eating. On top of that, the food itself was average at best. The flavors were not as great as expected, and the quality didn’t justify the price. If they can’t be honest about their ingredients, how can customers trust anything else on their menu? Would not recommend.

Best Grill restaurant in illford.

Had a wonderful experience at TAJ GRILL ILFORD last night. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxing evening. The staff was friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome. We tried Lamb tawa, and they were absolutely delicious—flavorful and beautifully presented. The prices were reasonable for the quality of food. Highly recommend . Will definitely return!

The young girls creating a warm and charming atmosphere and when combined with the flavours of food it’s become more refreshing.We'll definitely be back to explore more of their menu in future whenever we visit again ilford lane. A must visit place again and again a best combo of asian food. Magnificent the environment food atmosphere

I had an incredibly disappointing experience. The staff were unprofessional and didn’t seem to care about providing good service. The mojitos we ordered tasted like medicine, and to make matters worse, they were served in a jug that made pouring nearly impossible. As for the mixed grill, it arrived in just 10 minutes, which wouldn’t have been a problem if it weren’t for the fact that it was clear everything had just been microwaved and hastily thrown together. I won’t be coming back.

Visited Taj Grill on February 18, 2025, at 11:30 PM. Ordered the mix grill, but it was preheated and lacked freshness. The fish was extremely disappointing, it had a rubbery texture and was inedible. Overall, a poor dining experience. I would give a negative rating and do not recommend based on this visit.
