There are so many Turkish restaurants in South Woodford and from my experience all of them are better than this one. It was our first and last time. Lamb was over cooked and the sides were awful. Never seen my son give his kebab to the dog before - he normally eats everything. Id advise going to Salash Kitchen just further down the road as the food is vastly superior. I would like to add as a sidenote just how incredibly rude the owner was . He would benefit from a David Brent type training day ! So yeah.....never again.

Lovely food, normally have a mix of either chicken shish and lamb donner, or shish kofta and donner. Comes with a separate salad, pot of chilli and cucumber yogurt and a bread.. Will deliver as well.

Delicious shish and donner lamb kebab! Ordered a large portion size, nice to have the fresh salad separate and good amount of sauce to go with it all.

Amazing customer service, not keen on the lamb donner but the chicken donner is perfect, a little pricey but not the portions make up for it. Overall a great place.

I ordered from Uber Eats and was pleasantly surprised at how quick this came. It was so tasty and a great portion size too. I will definitely be a regular when I fancy a takeaway for sure. I recommend. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because I wrote in the Uber Eats notes that I did not want any onion and there was onion in my salad. However this is an easy mistake.

Good food, all prices shown, clean and tidy

We are quite regular customers up until now. Don't order garlic mayo, it will never turn up and you will get given some yogurt. The Donner was pure gristle and raw. When we tried to contact the restaurant they never answered the phone, on multiple occasions. Really disappointing. Will not be ordering ever again!

chips were cold I think cooked twice meet I think have been spinning on that thing for an hour or two in all the worst kebab I've ever eaten

The best Doner kebab I have ever had! (And I’ve had a few!). I am working in Epping Forest and just had to go back for another one this week. The trick is that the owner makes it himself and doesn’t get it delivered by a van. Not only is everything fresh but I love the spices he adds in which makes it more delicate than probably all that I have tasted. Really super food and a friendly, honest approach to customer service.

Very disappointing this time around. We regularly order from this place and there are no problems. This time the chicken kebab was soggy and it had some sort of spice that shouldn't be on it. It made it impossible to eat. Not going to order again.

i love this place, its perfect for vegetarian and and the service is even better! i love coming here when i am to lazy to cook. the portion sizes are very generous so you always have some for later!

"Cheeseburger" Why is the half slice of "cheese" in there bubbled up like melted plastic? No care or quality at all

I had ordered three donner meat and chips however I got sent three chicken donner and chips which I found really bizarre. So I called the restaurant and instead of acknowledging their mistake, the man on the phone started shouting and telling me its my fault because this is what I ordered. It isn't my fault if your menu isn't worded properly. There is clearly a "donner meat" and "chicken donner". Now if I didn't choose the chicken donner then obviously I chose the lamb Donner (donner meat). I also ordered a chicken shish with "donner meat" and funnily enough that was lamb Donner so why was "donner meat" percieved as lamb for one meal and chicken for the other three? So after a lot of bickering. He calmed down after checking the just eat app and seen that he was in fact in the wrong here. He then asked us to not touch the three meals and that their driver will send three lamb Donner's and take the chicken Donner's back. Not exactly sure if he wanted to resell the three meals. So we received our three lamb donner meals with some lovely surprises. There was a HAIR STRAND in two of the meals which was absolutely DISGUSTING! Really bad experience and completely ruined a happy occasion for us.

Food was disgusting, never had anything like this in my life. Dry burgers, soggy bun and beef burger had a slices of lamb kebab meat on the top 🤨 No salt,no sauces, at all. NEVER AGAIN.

First time we ordered from them and will definitely be the last. Gave them 1 star just so we can leave a review. Even though they are only 1.6 miles away it took almost 1 1/2 hours to deliver. Food was barely luke warm and very disappointing. Burger consisted of bun and patty with no salad or sauce or even butter! Also ordered a chicken kebab along with rice as an extra and it was the smallest portion I had ever seen. They also put the chicken and rice in the same container even though they were separate dishes which obviously makes it look bigger. Worst and most disappointing take-away we have ever had and will definitely not recommend

Good service, nice guy. However, portions for a meat and chips are way smaller than a standard one. My salad wasnt even a normal salad, and it was frozen?? Sauce was not great, and the doner didnt even taste nice. Its a shame because the service was so good.

i was absolutely blown away today, as i tried to place an order of 19 pounds. i asked a reasonable request, to have my chips seperate from my meat. i was told very abruptly that this cannot happen. i tried to reason with the member of staff and said im spending 19 pound in your restaurant and would it be such a effort to please put chips seperate. i was told ( darling no you cant ) in a very condercending manner. i decided at this point that i will take my custom else where. the staff need a lesson in manners and customer service, as they suck... mrs angry, woodford

Ordered via Just Eat app. Cold chips. Poor quantity of shish kabab which was tough and also cold. Salad was lacking and everything was DIY except the pitta was soggy so unable to cut the thing to fill it. VERY disappointing Fri eve treat. Will not be ordering here again.

Rubbish - ordered the iskender which clearly states on their website that it comes with rice. Got home to discover it was just meat. When I called I was told that it doesn't come with rice and that the website is a mistake! The other meal we ordered was dry and low quality. Won't bother again.

Had many deliveries from woodford bbq always choosing the woodford bbq special for £19. Tonight the food was poor to average the order was wrong the fries were ordered as an extra and tasted refried not fresh and crispy. The salad order was wrong and the fresh chillies there was 1 in each salad container. The meat was warm extremely dry and realky poor When calling to raise this issue was told they had been very quiet and the food was hot when it left. Our order with extra pitta bread and fries came to £24.90 and was a compkete waste of money as all the fries and food was thrown into the bin. As a regular customer i will be looking for somewhere else in the future as this was very dissapointing. And the response from the manager was equally dissapointibg as he didnt seen bothered.

Great staff! The make fresh food every day for every single customer! Great prices! You can mix and match. Good quality meat and lovely seasoning! And they do delivery! Super!

This review is from my own experience at Woodford BBQ, and not from a rival company which has rather conveniently been suggested of other people’s reviews. Ordered a delivery takeaway from them tonight, order was over £20, when the takeaway arrived part of the order was missing. We called to inform them, the best they could do was get the rest of the order to us in 10-15 mins, not ideal but acceptable. After 30 mins our outstanding delivery had not arrived, so called back. The guy I spoke to was unsympathetic and explained he was waiting for a driver to deliver the rest of my order. After I explained we no longer wanted the outstanding items, I found the service to be unacceptable. His attitude changed and he was rude and aggressive. I can understand if they are busy, it could be easy to make a mistake with an order, but surely an apology and priorty to get the outstanding items delivered to you is not too much to ask for. To make matters worse the chicken in the kebabs was burnt and dried out, a total waste of money and a spoilt meal! As a customer who has used Woodford BBQ for many years, I certainly won’t be using it anymore.

Burnt dried out chicken, chips not delivered with order, so called to report this, I was told the chips will arrive in ten minutes. Half hour later still no chips, called again and was abused by the man. Very rude staff. Would never use again.

I had a donar kebab only portion! The chicken was good, but as I paid £6 for a large chicken donar only, they wont provide any salad (some what reasonable, but not even sauces. Its bit frustrating. Update: Got sick this night after having this meal. My one of bad choices.

Have eaten from here a couple of times and would give them five stars were it not for the portions being so small. But will keep using them as the food is really lovely.

Only gave 1 star to write review! Apparently the top burger that's had side cut off due to cheese being all over it is meant to be plain even though you can clearly see cheese scraped off. Then rang to tell them and I'm wrong they are sure that they sent it plain and I'm lying and that the person who does not like cheese can go with out their meal even though we have just spent £20 on it!!! This was all whilst talking another language to someone else yelling at me and then telling me to go elsewhere used them for 8 years or so!! So rude!! Literally just happened and I will NEVER order off of them again!!!

I cannot believe this place is still in business,from the moment I walked into the the shop I felt like I had to run at 100mph the chap that served me did not give me a chance to study the menu,there was no smile on arrival,and when I challenged him in his lack of customer appreciation he said he only smiles when he gets the money's please avoid this place ,with regards to the food,if the chef was as good as cooking as he was at meeting customers the place would double its takings ??? So to conclude,the first impression always lasts .

My cousin lives literally 30 seconds from this place, so almost every time I visit, we get a Woodford BBQ! Never had a bad meal from there, usually get either the medium chicken or lamb shish. Absolutely delicious! I will most likely be back when I come back to Woodford!

Use the take away service quite often. Have never been dissapointed. Always order the woodford bbq special which consists of salad pittas rice both dober kebab meat chicken an lamb also the shish kebab lamb chicken and adana. This particular choice suits 2 people for under £20. Delivery always prompt. Food always hot and extremely tasty great portion sizes. Very good value for money. Staff always polite and pleasant on telephone however busy. Definetly worth using if wanting a takeaway Turkish night at home.

I really enjoy the chicken kebab meat with salad, it is so tasty. Don't know what seasoning they use but it is delicious. Have it regularly. Staff cheerful and friendly too.

Came here when was in the area with my wife and the food was pretty good, nothing to really complain about, you know what your paying and in return no gimmicks good stuff. Nice service too the owners seem like nice people which is always nice when you try to spend your money locally it makes you feel good when you are respected too.

Que no ya que pasamos mucho tiempo clasificar pedidos telefónicos y corriendo sobre el lugar como infiltrarse. Finalmente conseguí mi orden, pero cuando llegué a casa. Descubrí que me habían dado mal el kebab y no de lo que pedí. No había disculpa cuando me peldaño volver a informar de este, es simplemente más ladrando a volver.

I ordered a take away last night for the family. One Lamb Donor, 4 Lamb Shish & Chips. It was delivered to us as normal, we have been using Woodford BBQ for a few years now. Upon arrival, we opened our delivery and to our surprise, we had received the Lamb Donor but 4 Chicken Shish what we had not ordered. Our family do not eat chicken so had no reason to order the 4 Chicken Shish. I called the shop and spoke to the Manager. He was very very rude to me saying that I had made a mistake ! How could I make a mistake when my family do eat Chicken ? I informed him ofthis yet he kept saying that it was my fault that I had placed the order. He would not listen to me, kept interrupting and saying it was my fault. Eventually, he said that if I was not happy, then I should take my business elsewhere !! To say that I will not be going back to this place is an understatement, that is what I call bad customer service and a very rude man !!!!

Kebab meat is pure fat. Staff rude. I'm not a rival I'm from another town on business in the area. Asked for vat number to claim expenses and got abused. Don't go there. Food was terrible. Chilli portions was so minute it ran out. Shop is dirty inside and unkept. Like to see what h & s executive thinks about it. Unclean staff also. It's not hard to smile and be polite just like I was to them. Bit of a joke shop but if you like food that has more fat than meat you'll love it. Potentially one of the worst take away places I've ever visited for every reason you could think. After I had eaten I felt sick from all the fat and stale salad. Oh well hope you all enjoy. As for the comment that all negatives must be rival buisinesses well that shows you the contempt and arrogance how they don't accept negative comments because it's a fact that the staff do put positive reviews on for their own benefit but if it's not pleasant they blame other businesses. I should sue them for insulting my digestive system.

The poor reviews look like rival restaurants worried they are loosing business to this amazing quality take away. Best kebab in the area and beyond by a country mile. All kebabs come with rice, decent salad and the chilli sauce in a separate pot so you don't suffer as they over do it. Never had a bad experience.

Worst experience ever if there was 0 star rating that is what I would give the customer service was beyond horrible I've never been humiliated or insulted that badly in my life 40 pounds worth of food and to be treated like that was just horrendous if you are looking for good food go to another place it will be 10000xs better

This has become the kebab takeaway of choice. Lamb and chicken shish always delicious. They are on just eat as well but we always go to the shop
