Zaikas Takeaway in Wakefield

If I wanted frozen food recooked I would have gone to Iceland.Never ordering again

Extremely Oily burnt chips as if they have been re-fried and/or fried in really dirty oil. Chicken was the same. Tasted of burnt oil and was over fried until rock solid. Disappointing as their food used to be so good.

Ordered chicken wrap meal chicken was raw in middle don’t offer refunds even though they are in wrong don’t buy food from this takeaway

Got a donner kebab 🥙 hardly any meat in it and not enough chilli sauce, was later than I normally go so don't know if this had anything to do with it as normally we get a good serving. Kebabs are very nice from here just this one time not enough meat and chilli

I'm waiting for a operation as I carnt eat meat I orded a mild curry sauce with chapatis got it home they give me chips I can eat and a very hot curry sauce first time we used them and will be last shocking

Food was cold and bland and finally there was a hair in bedded in my cheesy chips!!

Ordered over 1hr 30 minutes ago and the food still hasn’t arrived, no reply when calling to ask where it is and no response online , won’t be ordering again

I've used these loads of times, I won't again, ordered a king kebab and the tiny amount of chicken that was in it was raw and there was hardly any donner meat in there. A waste of money, it's in the bin

Food tasteless! I was shocked when they sent the wrong order and they ask for the pizza back. Hope they didn't warm and send it to somebody else due to cross-contamination.

Food was bland! They sent a pizza instead of a colzone they sent the colzone and wanted the pizza back 🧐 First and last time i order from this place as we didn't like the food!

All round not a bad experience, The Ceylon is meant to be the hottest curry’s they do, it’s not that hot, The chicken is lovely in the curries, no complaints on flavour, Chicken pakoras are always over cooked and tough to eat unless you drown them in mint sauce for 10 minutes, the onion bargies are burger shaped, but still quite enjoyable, the chicken tikka masala is packed with flavour although a little salty, but I guess that’s to be expected, Poppodoms are spot on and the mint sauce is fantastic, All in all it’s a pleasant meal for a pleasurable price, would I order again, probably if my go to was closed.. 6.5/10 nice food but doesn’t blow you away either

Got a menu through the post , thought we'd try it , nice food quick del , but the driver nearly took my door of the hinges knocking , and never said a word, so rude and miserable, practically chucked the food at me , and for that reason zaikas I will never order again !!!!!!!

The food was really nice, the service was good and if it wasn't for the people hanging about outside I would have given more stars for the atmosphere too

Don't come here a lot, but when we do it's because they do the best chicken kebabs in the area. Pizza is pretty good too.

Orders food from here chicken was old was rock solid and I've worked in the fast food industry and this was last week's chicken. Called takeaway up and the just was not interested and now I've got a upset stomach never again will I be ordering from here. Avoid at all costs

Disgusting, oily, and rude staff

Not happy with the service. When I ordered for food they gave me the wrong item. After I reached home (travelled for 3.5 miles) I realised its wrong item, when I called them to inform them and replace the food, they are not ready to deliver it and the way they treating the customer is very arrogant and disrespectful and not at all acceptable. I would give 0 rating but I don't have that option.

Great service, food always delicious and hot, very quick friendly drivers, and good value for money. Choice of takeaway meals excellent, can recommend their curries they are devine and the pizza's are cooked in a proper pizza oven.

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE! Me and my boyfriend ordered two curries and a starter from this takeaway last night (which wasn’t cheap). It arrived and immediately we noticed both curries were extremely watery. I ordered the chicken bhuna and the chicken was extremely tough and chewy as well as some pieces being pink in the middle, it’s fair to say I couldn’t eat anymore. An hour later I become extremely ill and couldn’t stop throwing up, obviously I had food poisoning from this takeaway! Still being poorly today we rang the restaurant to make them aware that their food caused someone to contract food poisoning however they didn’t want to hear about it and basically called my boyfriend a liar. Avoid at all costs!

First time we tried it absolutely Delicious will definitely order again and recommend to family and friends just wish they put some menu's in bag so I could have passed them on.

These guys are dangerous! Hands down amazing curries. Even my wife, who doesn't like spicy food orders curries from these guys! Please don't stop make epic curries. I'm your new biggest fan.

Dont usually leave bad reviews but after trying to resolve the situation with the takeaway they've left me with no choice but to leave a review. So I ordered a large mixed karahi with chapattis, totalling £11.80. The large curry cost £9.50 and the only thing large about it was the onions and peppers they added to it. There was little to no meat in there. Just stuffed with big chunks of veg. Called the takeaway to see why this was the case, high price but poor amount and quality of food. Staff member spoke very rudely to me and said this is how it comes and if I dont like it then I should go elsewhere. No apologies or any attempt to correct the order. Wouldnt reccomend to anyone. Worst curry house out there

Ordered burgers a few times Every time the burgers appearance is poor.. salad does not look like salad one corner of the burger had salad in it that too the salad is 5 days old very bad salad Will not be ordering again and will avoid having any kind of food from zaikas... Chefs do their job in a rush and don’t put any love and passion in making the burgers/food...

Best take away curry around. Myself and my partner love a good curry but they all taste the same more about good packaging than the food. This is real old school curry. Delivery guys are always really pleasant and friendly.
