Zaffran, Bradford in Bradford

First time visit but will definitely be back. Quiet went we went in at 6 on a Saturday, but soon filled up. We ordered 3 mixed starters to share and for mains, various different kebabs and sea bass. Everything was good, especially the lamb fillet, which was really tender and full of flavour. Sides served were enormous - chips, rice or naans. Would like to try some of the Persian stew dishes next time. Small free car park around the back and take note that it is cash only.

Exquisite cuisine, hits the spot every time. We got a hummus starter, followed by two mains, two skewers of chicken fillet and lamb kobeda. And the salmon fish to top it off! Great atmosphere, and useful place for prayers on the FF, if required.

This place is excellent I have on occasion come here for a snack or there cava and the service with a smile by the staff is excellent too I would rate this one of the best places for snack and price and quality of food is next to none, young lady by the name of( Sharon)who has been here on almost every occasion I have come is very friendly and knowledgeable to help you choose and describe the food in taste texture and how filling it is Likely to be, we had the land shish which we could not finish and asked for a bag to take it home which young lady obliged us with, thank you.

Visited here on a Sunday evening and I have to say it's a small decent Persian hidden gem in Bradford. Definitely value for money with the quality of the food and the price, much more better than few other Persian places in Bradford and around. The menu is quite extensive and I personally didn't want to take a risk so I recommended my family to go for Kobeda Kebabs with Rice & Naan Breads. Everyone was impressed and hopefully next time will get to explore something different. Staff was quite but yet helpful and listened to our every request which we appreciated. All in All This Place is Highly Recommended and Would Encourage Others to Give It a Try. You Won't Be Disappointed.

Absolutely fantastic value for money. Food is spot on. I usually always order the Kubideh with rice or chips. And the meat is always succulent and juicy. A nice meal all in all. Parking always available too. Chilled out atmosphere. Will definitely be coming again.

Cash only! This place is a bit of a hidden gem of Bradford! The Persian food is fantastic and at a great price. The staff are really friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend their halloumi (grilled squeeky cheese) houmous with flat bread as an appetiser and the mix koubideh on rice (get that butter on and squeeze that lemon!) with a J2O! Just can't beat that! Check it out! Remember it's cash only which is a bit of a shame tbh.

This experience not only made me physically ill but also left me feeling extremely embarrassed in front of my guests. To add to the disappointment, I had ordered three of the same dish, and all three tasted different, which further added to the inconsistency of the meal. I am truly saddened by this experience, as I have always considered Zaffron a reliable choice for dining. I hope this matter can be looked into seriously, as I would not want this to happen to other customers in the future. I would appreciate it if you could address this issue and take the necessary steps to ensure it does not occur again. I look forward to hearing from you soon regarding this matter.

Went to Zaffran's this evening. Not been here for many years. The food was fantastic. Everyone enjoyed it including the kids. We ordered the kebabs aa recommended on the menu and humus starters again very nice. Quick service and polite, friendly service from the young girl who was serving us. Food portion was big and we had to take it home again the waitress was very helpful. Overall, a great dinning experience and i will definitely be back.

At every visit with family and friends we have had excellent tasty meals with very generous portions served by friendly & polite staff. We have all enjoyed what we had, koobideh, joojeh, lamb shank ( the best) , with very tasty starters, and lovely freshly baked persian bread. Ordered to takeaway and food was flat cold even when specified the time i will be collecting. Nan bread was rock hard. Visited again as i have heard very good things about this place and eat in the staff was very pleasent and the food was absolutly brilliant will defo be coming again ive left my first review on as that was takeaway but was during ramadan and understand what happended Thank you

This fine establishment has a wide range of cusine that will cater for the needs of everyone. This restraunt has everything you need:great food, good service and maybe if your lucky a beautiful fragranced tea on the house. The cooks are stupendous at their job with you being to see a open view of the food being cooked on red hot coals. You cant really fault this place! .... Just came back from Zaffran. Newly refurbished. Wonderful food and hospitality.. Ahmad is Star. He always lookafter customers needs. You must try their aromatic tea. Awesome service from Ahmad.Bless him.🙂💯

An unassuming corner plot off Westgate is where to find some delicious Persian hospitality. Authentic flavours and good value to my eye. The grilled food was presented beautifully and cooked fresh to order. Salads were lovely and if chicken soup is a standard to rate a restaurant, we loved theirs. I might prefer it to its more expensive cousin on Leeds Road…. Give it a go when you’re hungry….

We had some kebabs and wraps, and the food was great, served by very nice staff. The Persian tea was truly delicious. One of the nosiest restaurants I've ever been in, and I couldn't hear the waiter when he came to serve us. Also, note that this is cash only. It is funny that many restaurants in this area are cash only (I wonder why?) but there is no sign of this on the website, only on the door when you arrive.

I ordered 6:40, it was delivered at 8:40.

The food here at Zaffran is very good . We were put upstairs in a bland room . Food took half an hour to arrive

Not a fan of cash only places, especially when the nearest cash point is not close by and in a dodgy area where you're followed by crackheads begging for money. Food wise, it was ok, though a bit overpriced for portion size. Defo not your alternative to places like Classic Persian as some have said. The meat was too chewy at times and still had the strong raw meat smell, but was cooked. Food would be nicer if they would give some garlic cream to go with the food.

Food was spot on. Service deserves zero but I still give one. The waitress took our order and then came back 4 times to confirm the order which wasn't big at all. On 4 items orders with 3 drinks. But it took 4 attempts and still had drinks missing .

Zaffran is a unpretentious place that stays popular due to the consistent quality of the food. Their skewer kebabs are excellent with high quality meat/chicken/keema. Well presented and very tasty. Good customer service too. Usually the music is too loud in restaurants, here it was a touch too low. They play some classic Iranian music (old school), put it up a little! 😃

Food was mediocre for this cuisine, plenty of better options out there. Staff were not forthcoming or attentive, dining there seemed to inconvenience them. Although they passed the table several times, not once were we asked how our meal was. Positive point is that the food arrived fairly quickly, so made the visit here thankfully short.

Very good food, fresh and full of taste. Went for a family dine night. For starter we ordered chickrn rolls. mashed aubergine and falafels. Falafels tested really great. I wish there were more. Hubby was very happy with his grilled seabass with salad, both the children ordered grilled fillet of lambs with chips and I went for their highly recommended both chicken and lamb minced grill with chips. For dessert we ordered molten lava cake and choc ice-cream. All were really delicious. Great food and fantastic ambience. We had a lovely time, well spent.

Excellent quality of food, presentation and taste. I spent a month in Bradford for work and came to eat here every week. Very reasonably priced for a restaurant. Parking available at back.

We went for the first time on Friday after being recommended to go. Staff were extremely friendly, our food arrived really quickly and it was delicious Left a lot of my meal as there was so much and it was very filling, but I really did enjoy what I ate. Nice atmosphere and I would definitely return.

we visited yesterday this restaurant after read but really disappointed they mentioned kabli pilaf recommend but it was just boiled rice on top raisins and carrots, but no taste at all. there was few more tables which I seen people left full plates of food just because of you know. kobedha kebab was ok. I won't recommend to go with family or if you are hungry. but for taste of change you can go when you not hungry

First time ordering from here, on recommendation from friends. Food was piping hot when it arrived (we live a fair distance from the restaurant). We ordered mixed kebab on rice. Portions were larger than expected and the food was well cooked and tasty. Not greasy/oily etc. Would definitely try again and maybe even try visiting the restaurant to dine in. Always wary of trying new places via takeaway but glad we tried this place.

Went for lunch around 3pm. We were the only customers, so atmosphere was calm and chilled. Service was on time and staff were polite. The fresh naan was so delicious with the hummus that we almost filled our bellies with it. The main was mixed lamb shish and chicken tawouq. Very filling.

It was fine just confused by delivery , would go eat in restaurant but wouldn’t do home delivery no more as it was confusing when I had to call twice delivery driver to explain where he have to deliver food ! :/

First & last time ordering from here, only used them as Classic Persian was closed. Ordered similar meals to our usual Classic Persian received much smaller portions even though Zaffran is more expensive Lamb & chicken kebabs both overcooked a dried out, Sujuk tough as old shoe leather Mirza Ghasemi & Kashke Bademjan tasted like they had been soaked in vinegar fries were undercooked and greasy naans really thin and completely dried out Most of the food ended up in the bin! altogether a really disappointing experience if we had been served that in a restaurant we would have sent it back & refused to pay sadly that option not available with a takeaway

Abhorrent experience, loathsome staff, negative atmosphere. The ambience was likened to that of the Cold War. The waitress, did not get her name, requires further training. I ate in on the 29th of April, evening. Food was dry, no dips with the hallomi. Wrap came dry. So many criticisms but I shan't spend a moment longer associated with this restaurant.

The delivery is always ahead of schedule (on Ubereats). The food arrives at a perfect temperature and fresh with great portion size and tastes exactly as it should be (Persian). Also, the staff are always very polite and respectful when you dine in or pop in to take out in person.

Best spots in Bradford for this type of food. Everywhere else is a compromise.

The food was wonderful. The portion sizes were extremely delicious with pricing more than fair! The service was excellent and Hafees was a great host. The restaurant is on the small side with spacing a tad tight, but cosy nonetheless. The decor could be spruced up with some traditional Iranian paraphernalia and adornments. Will be coming again to try their Kabuli Polo!

Fabulous for meat eaters, terrible for vegetarians they only had Falafal on the menu and had run out. Whilst my family had a wonderful meal, which they couldn't stop talking about how great the meat dishes were, I had chips. There are amazing Persian recipes for vegetarians.

Very reasonably priced. Food delicious, good to see open plan cooking. Wait staff rushed off her feet maybe need to consider staffing. For somewhere in what felt like an environment we didn't want to be in in the dark it is surprising that they only take cash. Cleanliness could be better.

The food was absolutely delicious. Chicken and lamb pieces were juicy and tender. Will definitely order again.

Nice decor inside. There is around 6 tables available with each enough to seat 4 people. We arrived quite early on and got seated straight away. For staters we ordered the Mirza Ghasemi which is grilled aubergines with a tomato and garlic base served with fresh naan. It was a very decent portion size and will easily serve 3 people. For mains we ordered the Lamb shank along with the lamb kobeda and a portion of chips. The lamb kobeda was very nice, however, it could have been juicer as it was slightly on the dry side. The lamb shank was very flavourful and fall off the bone - served with saffron rice it was enjoyable. The portion sizes are very generous and the lamb shank meal will feed 3 people easily. Overall a very nice quiet intimate restaurant with helpful staff and lovely food. The bill came to just over £30 for 2 people with lots of food left over ( enough to feed another person comfortably)
