Medy was a such a superstar !! It was my beat friends birthday and they made it so special and even brought out the cake we brought and sung happy birthday !! Medy really went out his way to make sure she had the best time thank you so much! ♥️

I liked the environment, even if there is not much organization among the dining room staff although they are very kind and professional. The food was quite poor and unfortunately the overall expectations were not met.

The service was extremely poor - in that we waited a long time to be served, we had to ask for bread, and also the waiter literally leant over to grate some Parmesan..for the amount of money it costs I would have expected far better

Not a great experience, service was slow and they were understaffed for volumes. Menu pricing were out of line for what was served. This restaurant has some work to do before we return.

Pleasant atmosphere, good service and wonderful food!

The minestrone needed taste. A base stock is still essential with plant based food. The melanzane parmigiana was undercooked and watery. Why the ricotta and pesto?!

Top quality Italian restaurant, very well established; friendly professional staff, nicely spaced tables with several separated dining areas. Food is delicious and expertly prepared; extensive menu and a good selection of fish, meat and pasta dishes.

A place of brilliant treatsmmmmmeeeee!!! I recommend 1000 times!!!!

For lunch we eat 2 tuna steaks, 2 glasses of white wine and 2 coffee. We had to pay £130,00 for the food and drinks (which were fine but not special) but it seemed we also had to pay for 2 covers, service costs and tax £60,00 (while written on the menue cart prices are tax included). What a unpleasant surprise.

I have been long remiss in not reviewing Zafferano earlier- it remains an exceptional Italian offering in London. Great ingredients cooked classically, exactly what you want. Service is always lovely and warm and it feels as a cosy but luxurious occasion, even if just ordering pasta. In my most recent visit, we tried the Vitello Tonnato, which was delicious and I had the Malloreddus pasta with a beef ragu, savory and warming. The mille-feuille dessert with vanilla ice-cream was delicious(maybe a bit too biscuit?); the tiramisu is the more reliable option. Only wish it was a tad less pricey… but the free bread basket softens the blow :)

The staff are perfect- charming, attentive and engaged. The food is cooked perfectly and presented well. It is a very comfortable environment.

Food was satisfactory but expensive for the quality of the produce. The steaks were not high quality.

Quando sono a Londra ci vado da oltre 15 anni , noto sempre Up and Down . L’ultima volta decisamente Down, personale nervoso e non molto professionale , vini al calice mancanti , così come i dolci solo 2 scelte , non abbiamo neanche avuto i biscottini di cortesia (li avevano annunciati , ma mai arrivati) . Pasta un po’ avanti con la cottura per noi italiani , salumi non all’altezza della volta precedente così come i formaggi . Sconsiglio a mio avviso di cenare di Domenica , capisco la stanchezza di una settimana di lavoro , ma a questo punto meglio restare chiusi a cena che rischiare di perdere clienti .

Everything was great from the food to the service 10/10

If you are contemplating a visit to London and you identify as a person of color, I would advise against investing your time or resources in this establishment. It is disheartening to note that you may not receive the acknowledgment you deserve. During my recent experience, while dining with my children, the only individual who attended to us was the Black server who provided water. I observed that staff members actively engaged with every other table while neglecting ours. Upon our departure, there was silence from the staff, including the manager. As a frequent traveler and patron of five-star restaurants, I will be redirecting my financial support elsewhere.

A bit of a disappointment frankly. Premium location and pleasant enough surroundings. Total shambles on coats at entry and exit. Hugely overpriced mediocre food with indistinct flavours served by people who though not unpleasant, and with the odd exception, seemed not to give a monkey’s. Definitely won’t be going back. Ever. For £100 a head with only one glass of wine between us it was a waste of money and an evening we will never get back.

Absolutely perfect… exquisite food, service and ambience.

A flickering shadow of what was once a mainstay London Italian restaurant. In a still-bustling part of town for a Saturday evening out, the warm rosy glow of good company, good food and service with a bit of flair (if not always the warmest for the less-exalted) has faded so as to be only now visible in the mind's eye, replaced with often harried and largely inattentive service and angry voices quite audible from a kitchen that appears to be in some disarray. The frutti di mare so long a standard here is still as you might remember it, but the execution otherwise was, putting it kindly, inconsistent. It's a rather unpleasant surprise to encounter veal milanese, rather chewy, reminding one of chicken-fried steak from the American Southwest, in the heart of Belgravia. One can only hope that Zafferano will recover as other outstanding restaurants have renewed themselves after a rough patch.

Really good food and excellent service! One of my favourite in London

He estado en Zafferanos varias veces a lo largo de los años y nunca antes me había decepcionado. Esta vez fuimos por las trufas blancas. Los antipasti eran de buena calidad (bresaola y salmón). El risotto de trufa está bien, aunque demasiado masticable. La pasta de trufa era agradable, solo un poco demasiado mantequilla, pero por alguna razón la trufa blanca en ambos platos carecía del aroma maravilloso habitual. La pannacotta era genteel y la única cucharada de helado de vainilla estaba bien. Tomamos dos copas de vino. Un bonito Gavi de Gavi y un Brunello medio ( (CastelGiacondo, Frescobaldi 2016 ) Sin embargo, no hay manera en la Tierra que esto fuera una £ 432. 98 comida para dos. Aceptaría £ 90 por plato de trufa si fueran de primera categoría, pero no lo eran. No acepto £ 88 como razonable para una copa de vino de 174 ml, una botella entera de la cual cuesta £ 54 en Internet. Ni 14 libras por una cucharada de helado de vainilla. Además, el personal era todo tenue y distante, aunque muy educado, los huéspedes estaban humedecidos y escasos también, posiblemente porque la mayoría solo estaban bebiendo agua presumiblemente debido al precio ridículo del vino. Una experiencia decepcionante y es poco probable que regrese, lo que me entristece ya que he tenido varias comidas destacadas en Zafferanos a lo largo de los años.

We had an early supper before attending Cadogan Hall so it was fairly quiet. The food was, as usual, delicious and the service impeccable.

Muy buen restaurante con un bonito entorno en una bonita ubicación. Las mesas y asientos son cómodos. La comida está bien cocinada y deliciosa. Teníamos parmigiana de berenjena, ternera, langosta lingüística y pulpo y un buen vino Barolo de la Toscana. Tiramisu para terminar. El servicio es profesional y eficiente pero extremadamente frío y robótico, lo que es un gran inconveniente en este lugar, ya que no nos sentimos bienvenidos.

food was very good. you can find a lot of italian classics here, very well cooked. Potrions are not super generous, but the taste is great. the price is a bit over the top, but we are in the heart of Belgravia. All in all good experience and i will go back. Marcello

We enjoy this place and are repeat customers. I have used it for business dinners as well. The food is very, very good. The service is impeccable. It is a place you can hear your table mates without shouting. It is a very classy, classic Italian.

It’s been almost 30 years since Zafferano opened, and I’d wanted to try this place for a long time. It was worth the wait! In an area not short of Italian restaurants, it’s easy to see why they have survived - the food is excellent (seriously one of the best aubergine parmigiana I’ve ever had, and the tiramisu was up there with the best of them too). It’s an elegant, but not stuffy, venue and the service is attentive and charming. A big plus is the outdoor space - which is covered and heated if need be - so perfect for when the sun’s out. Definitely recommended!

Upmarket Italian restaurant in Knightsbridge, good food, the veal is amazing.

Nice atmosphere and overall very attentive service, everything OK. Price / performance or better the quality of the food does not match. That is the actual reason for visiting the restaurant, not a recommendation from us.

Buena comida, servicio amable, atento, buena mesa... así que ¿por qué la mala crítica? El precio se ejecuta como una estafa: 1 ) los precios son ex - IVA, lo que es realmente extraño para un restaurante londinense, y muy poco habitual y cuestionable jurídicamente. A really great Italian restaurant in Knightsbridge. The cars parked in front suggest that many patrons used to have their own cook back in the old days. Don’t be suprised of some reminiscence of mobster lunchnes (probably just prejudice). The food is great, so is the service. Prices are reasonable (though still high) for the location. Kids are welcome, with or without their Godfather.

Got the Lamb Ravioli, was comparable to microwave food. Flavor was extremely underwhelming and the portions made up for absolutely nothing. The ravioli was undercooked and the inside was lamb made of dry shredded lamb with no juices or flavor. The price was absolutely not worth it and I warn any tourist or anyone new in the area to absolutely avoid. Was ignored by service multiple times and waited longer for the bill than we did our food. Others I dined with were equally disappointed. I love Italian food and I have never been more disappointed. 2/10 at best. Poor quality food, Poor quality prices, and equally Poor service. Sorry to be brutal but I do not want other people to have a similar experience to myself. Be warned.

A great Italian restaurant. Kids friendly. Dishes are reliable, prices high as you would expect, given the expensive cars parked outside. If you’re looking for a great Italian place in Chelsea/Knightsbridge, go to Zafferano.

Staff at the door was very welcoming and kindly allocated us to a fantastic table with amazing ambience, however the food was underwhelming. The ravioli, priced at almost £30 included only 5 pieces and it tasted like it was microwaved, with a significant lack of flavour. The starters were nothing special for the prices set.

Too expensive , needed another meal after 1 hour of leaving the restaurant My local Italian is more refined, more authentic, almost same type of dishes for a quarter of the price It s a shame, I went there 15 years ago and it was impressive.

A special lunch to celebrate the life of a very fine friend, and it didn't disappoint. The last time we visited Zafferano was several years ago, to finalise details for a special trip. Zafferano is now even finer than we remembered. A professional but charming and relaxed Italian Restaurant with equally charming and discreetly attentive staff. We started with a steaming hot Minestrone soup and a Fusilli tomato pasta dish. Both were very tasty and beautifully presented. Our mains were honeyed chicken breast with roasted potatoes & green beans. Desserts were hot apple pie with a custard base, topped with ice cream, all of which tasted marvellous. We would often have wine but didn't this time. Nevertheless, the wine list options are sophisticated and significantly vary in price. Although, it depends on what you choose, a meal here can be quite expensive. However, Zafferano is outstanding in every respect.

Very nice supportive staff. The maitre D is always welcoming. For a restaurant who has been around for a long time, the food is even better. Well done. The ambience is very homey. An environment the Italians themselves feel good eating there. Very impressive

This is an amazing italian restaurant. I went back after a long time and i saw they actually expanded the restaurant . Beautiful set up ,nice terrace , top service and excellent food. If I'm in London on a day out this place is one of my favourite to stop and having a proper italian lunch .

A classic local area restaurant that has been successful for decades and overall continues to deliver good Italian food and friendly service as it attracts the locals. Located close to Knightsbridge it’s easy to get a taxi or just walk from the two tube stations to this very local restaurant.

This place is overrated, honestly the food here was mediocre the starters where below average, the pastas were the best things on the menu I would give it an above average. The service was good enough we had a good waitress luckily but some waiters didn’t even know what was on the menu the restaurant should definitely fix that. Now the atmosphere was appalling didn’t feel like an Italian restaurant just plain colored tables and walls no music. But the worst part is the price we where 5 and payed like 150£ per person was not reasonable at all. Don’t know what was all the hype about this place. Go try it and see for yourself.

Final night in London - visiting from Canada we wanted to have romantic Italian dinner so we booked Zafferano’s. We ordered the burrata to start it was delicious! Our mains were lobster linguine and the ravioli which was so great! I ordered a mocktail and they went out of their way to get the ingredients at the store which was so nice. I’m giving a 3 because as we got the dessert menu it said you are automatically charged 2.20 £ for sitting down. That is just ridiculous, in Canadian dollars that’s 8$ just to have a seat at a table, I think customers should know right away when booking they are charged instantly per seat. This makes us not want to return to any restaurant that does this.

Dining experience itself - incredible. Perhaps the best ravioli I’ve ever had. Amazing service - my wife ordered a drink, and they were missing an ingredient. They actually ran down the street to get it, so they could make it. Wonderful selection and atmosphere. Only reason this is not 5+ stars…the £2.20 per person cover charge. I’m sure this was somehow highlighted before we ordered (on the menu, I’d imagine) but we missed it. Seeing it on the bill - it put a negative spin on the entire experience. And really - why?!?! Raise the price of the menu items 25 pence. Nobody would think a thing of it, and one wouldn’t feel ripped off upon getting the bill. And that represented like 2% of the total bill. But that is enough to leave a bad taste. Overall, an amazing experience. Just a poor ending.

Delicious lunch but when I arrived the music was very loud and, even after it was turned down, it was slightly intrusive.

Used to be one of Knightsbridge’s best restaurants. Feels very dated now, for the same money there are better options now sadly.

Looking at the pictures I would have expected something more. The manu was very basic. We had pasta which was not great. The pasta used was not of great quality (was al dente but yet gummy) and sauce not well done (too much garlic). Dessert were good Service is great

This was our first experience and it was a brilliant one! The service and food were equally excellent. Prices were reasonable for this part of town. On leaving a member of staff hailed a taxi for us as it was drizzling. Will definitely come back when we are next in London.

Incredibly tasty food, super service but outrageous price for alcohol (mark-up 5!!!) and Grandma's design.

First went to Zafferanos about 20 years ago and have kept going back. Great food and service. I used to go with work when I was at a metals hedge fund that was in Knightsbridge and live fairly close so always try and go to this restaurant.

Overall a very good experience with good food and pleasant ambiance.
