Pizza Express in City of London, Westminster

Me and my partner visited the place during our holiday and it was absolutely worth it! The dough balls were tasty, the cocktails were amazing but the best part was the dessert! The staff were generally kind and friendly and when they figured out we were a couple they made us a cute little decoration for the dessert, it was adorable! 🥰 I would definitely recommend! The place is LGBT friendly🏳️‍🌈, there’s a big flag on the window and we definitely felt comfortable!

Service was ok. Atmosphere downstairs was ok. Very busy place. Ordered a Christmas pizza, about £20. So not cheap. In fact expensive. Base was thin, hard at edge and chewy. Next to no toppings. Not that I expect a lot of toppings but I expected more than the very limited amount on it. Maybe they run out of ingredients!. Overall the pizza was poor. My wifes pizza, although different was of the same poor quality. I expected a lot better from this restaurant. On a pisitive note the desert and coffee were good. Would advise people on going again. There are a lot better pizza places in the neighbourhood.

This is not my first visit, booked and chosen by another family member. On this occasion I was treated to burnt (every piece was black on the underside) dry calamari and burnt tiny pieces of chicken both costing £8+. It is awkward to complain when part of a larger family group many of whom we've not seen for months. It was coupled at the end by my card being declined contactless, re-done with pin which went through with receipt and then the waiter coming back a few minutes later saying it was not showing on his app despite a receipt saying it had gone through suggesting I pay again! I shall be asking the wider family when we meet up again can we go elsewhere - 3 meals over 18 months and every one has had problems. Very over priced for the quality of food served. My husband said his pasta dish was tasteless and looked like a microwave meal.

Great location and very good food. It was quick service and the pizza smelled super fresh. Overall service was great. Will surely suggest a visit option if you are looking for quality pizza.

Such a lovely evening at the Pizza Express near Baker Street. The food was delicious and arrived quickly after ordering. Pavo was our waiter and he was so lovely and understood my gluten free allergy. Will definitely be coming back.

I’m not a huge fan of London, but our experience with this Pizza Express was bang on. We were a walk in table of 6 on a Saturday evening, somehow they had a spare table downstairs. It’s the cleanest, most well decorated pizza express I’ve ever been to. The prices weren’t insane, the food was perfect, and we even had a plug socket near the table which was useful after walking around all day for recharging phones. Not sure about everyone else but it was my favourite part of going down to London, big up you guys 💯💯💯

Enjoyed this place more than we thought we would. Ordered the Padana Romana pizza and the Giuseppe Beef pizza and both were very good. Service was quick and friendly as well.

Pizza Express just a stone throws away from Baker Street Station. First of all the location is brilliant. The building and decor looks really nice, the downstairs looks really class too. The menu has a fantastic selection. And the pizzas are always fresh and tasty. Pipped in for a quick lunch today and the staff were really friendly and informative. The order was taken promptly and the pizza arrived super quick 👌. It wass fresh and hot. Smelled delicious and tasted as good as it smelled. I washed it down with a fanta from the bottle; which always tastes so much better. Overall the restaurant was really nice, staff friendly and attentive and the facilities clean. Will definitely return again for some more pizza adventures. Give them a go, and get the app it's a ganechanger!

They were very unpleasant, the girl who served us. It says they close at 10:30 p.m. and I arrived at 9:20 p.m. and they didn't let me sit down, only takeout food which they prepared poorly for me, without the soft drink, cold potatoes. I wouldn't go again

My teenage daughter had a pizza making party with friends. It was easy to book and when we arrived they were very well looked after by the team. They got to prepare their own pizza bases and then added toppings. All seemed to enjoy it. It's a bit expensive but the whole experience was great, so worth it!

Wow 2 years later and service was just as good as ever. Busy night and the servers were tag teaming to ensure customers were seated, orders taken, and food delivered. Average pizza parlor. Pizza tastes alright, and the vibe is just what you would expect. However, I was a bit disappointed when they started to get over friendly which means they are asking for tip. It really really leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

Where to go in central London if you haven’t been fed anywhere? To a chain pizzeria. Both laughter and sin: merlot without cork for 27 pounds, you don’t even have to think about the taste of pizza.

I had a great experience at this place. The service was excellent, and the food was just as good. I started with the mozzarella sticks served with a red sauce on the side. The sauce had a hint of garlic, which made it amazing. I also enjoyed the burrata salad, which was fresh and flavorful. The pizza margherita with mushrooms was perfectly cooked, and the highlight of the meal was the cannelloni—it was absolutely fabulous. Overall, a delightful meal, and I highly recommend it.

Another lunch, another PE pizza! We chose to eat all fresco and had bruscetta and aracini for starters.Both were excellent. We shared a classic giandinera pizza and were to full to have dessert. Great location and service.

Good all round. Would have been 5 stars but waiter was pushy for a tip. Probably because of the location being popular with tourists. Not used to being hassled for a tip with this chain or any other restaurant for that matter.

Really rude server who decided to insist over and over again, quite aggressively that ‘all pesto contains peanuts.’ She then decided to sarcastically suggest that my nut allergy wasn’t real when I told her I’d regularly had dishes like the ‘Pollo Pesto’. It was quite laughable and she eventually scurried over and snapped that she had meant ‘pine nuts’ not peanuts but no apology was given. Perhaps some manners and staff training is needed. Food was average.

Nice ambience with great food. We had bruscetta, lasagne and canelloni as well as tiramisu, cake and ice cream for dessert Absolutely delicious! Highly priced but certainly normal for London and Baker Street. Staff friendly and always smiling. That was a lovely last evening in London!

Pizza without much flavor, the service was correct although we were forced a little with the tip.

We had a rare date day. We were going to a concert in Wembley so thought we would stop in Baker Street for something to eat. We arrived and were taken to a really nice seat. It was not so close to anyone else. We were greeted by a young lady who was very polite. Our server was really friendly and very attentive. She came and took our order and also came half way through to make sure everything was good. The food was amazing. Can’t think of anything bad to say. Thank u for making a rare day out even better.

We went late afternoon and it was a lovely experience. The waiter who took our order was lovely and couldn't be more helpful. Pizza was delicious.

We arrived on Sunday evening having not booked with 3 hungry kids. The staff were great especially our waiter Diogo . He brought the food and drinks super quickly. Great food and atmosphere. Diogo was very good and helpful , the fire alarm in the flat above went off. We went outside because it was so noisy and too loud for the children. The staff were very professional , Diogo helped us outside explaining what was happening. They were apologetic, I hope that they sort this out so it does not recur. However it did not spoil our enjoyment of the evening. I would recommend the service is so good and the food also.

The food was delicious, as it always is. It has options for everyone, vegan, vegetarian and gluten free. The staff are amazing and very friendly, and I LOVED that they have the LGBTQ+ flag up, I cannot wait to come back to this pizza express. Thank you for making everybody feel welcome!! Amazing team 😁

Very friendly, attentive and fast service. The food (Garlic Bread with Mozarella, Double American Cheese and the La Rheine) were great! Special requests were also fulfilled without any problems. We didn't have to wait long and were very satisfied. We would love to come back 🙂

We went to Pizza Express Baker Street after attending the cricket at Lords. We had booked a table which was just as well as the restaurant was very busy. The staff worked hard and provided excellent service. We enjoyed our meal which was delicious. A great atmosphere. A well led team that coped brilliantly with a sudden large influx.

Service poor Drops the menus and never comes back Have to get attention for drinks, starters or mains They walk past you multiple times and never pay attention Never any salt, pepper or basics on the table Food never comes in any order, whatever is ready first comes. Mains before starters etc, Food always cold. They never assist you with the pizza express app. Rewards or payment etc. need I go on.

My first day in London, went in with my husband and my VERY hungry 5 year old. Staff were ignoring us on purpose - most likely because of my hijab. Many people walked in after we were seated and their orders were taken immediately. We waited over 10 minutes and I had my hands raised the entire time to get anyone's attention. There were at least 4 servers around and nobody glanced our way. I decided to leave the restaurant, and while I was walking out, one of the servers was glaring at me without even saying a word or trying to apologize. If you're Muslim and a hijabi, don't bother going there!

Pizza Express is predictable, hence my visit. The whole experience is mediocre, which was what I expected and got. Why go there? Convenience, laziness, familiarity. Must stop wasting my money.

We had our evening meal here after a long day wandering around Kew Gardens. Restaurant was very lively but not overly noisy and a our service by Santi was exceptional. He went out of his way to explain certain things to us and made sure we were happy & enjoying our food. Food was delivered quickly ; it was hot and delicious especially the Buddha salad basket that I had...all in all and very pleasurable experience and would definitely recommend and would return myself...

I have been to pizza express many times, but this place, we waited half an hour from the time we arrived, when I went to ask the manager, he said nonchalantly you can go somewhere else to eat, I explained that the two tables next to us were served later than us, he said in a bad tone that maybe it was almost ready, it was very upsetting, I didn't want to eat again at all!

Very tasty Padana pizza. We paid £80 for 4 pizzas.

The food was good. I wanted some salt, but my table had no condiments, and my server took very long to initially approach us, then literally never came back. She stayed to the left around the corner the entire time, so we couldn't even flag her down if we needed anything. We had to track down the only other server who remained in the main dining room several times. I felt bad for him, he was helping nearly everyone in the room because no other servers were around. Manager, please give a kudos to him 👏🏼 (long curly-haired brunette) he deserves it. He works extra hard as opposed to the rest. I had to catch a train, and I was worried I was going to miss it because of how neglectful our server was. Please give her some extra training on customer service.

I was really disappointed by the Pizza Express starters. The prawn dish was horrifically bland and tasteless. And the mushroom arrancini was frankly inedible. Pizzas themselves were great but whatever happened to Pizza Express starters which used to be so good is beyond me.

Visited this branch of PE during half term holidays and the place was full within 30 minutes of opening. It’s very busy at peak times as it’s close to Baker Street and Regents Park. That said, the service was very good and the food was also as you would expect, so they handled it well during peak lunchtime. They had forgotten to give us the halloumi bites but were quickly to take that off the bill and redeem our voucher. No hassle. 4 stars for this PE.
