Best Chippy in the world! I have been coming since I was little and it has always been excellent. Highly recommended if you’re in Wavertree.

Great chines takeaway, food very clean and nice and very nice staff. This is our go to chinese takeaway. The only critique is they do not take card payments and do not deliver. However, you can phone through to place the order for collection and they are quick. There are tables outside under shelter too if you wish to stay to eat.

Had beef mushroom half rice half chips. Very nice, was a bit salty for my taste...but I was hungry and it went down my throat and quietened my rumbling belly. Washed it down with Fanta and all at a reasonable £6. Edit..had it again and it was much better! Not salty and was perfect.

Lovely chippy, friendly staff and tasty food. Recently moved to the area and struggled to find a chippy that compared to my old one in old swan, but this one is the best in the area easily.

My usual Saturday evening haunt for curry boiled rice & chips with mushrooms was closed...🙄 So I went to Z Tams, soooo glad I did. The meal was delish !!! The mushrooms were put in a separate tub, no probs there as you get more...mmmmmm I will deffo be going back. Curry boiled rice & chips £3. Mushrooms £2.60 worth every penny 😋😋😋

Worst fried rice I have ever had. The cost is as same as in other chippies.. I never recommend.

Love my local chippy. Decent range for veggies. My go to favourites are the vegetable chow mein and spring rolls or chips and mushy peas. HUGE portions. Lovely staff and patrons. You can ring up beforehand to order (advisable because it gets busy). They only take cash, but there's a little cash machine next door outside that you can use.

Finally a decent local chippy, others tried nearer to home just awful. Very friendly staff, good menu, NOT REHEATED CHIPS. Only shame is curry sauce nothing special but gravy is 😋 Update. Ordered small sausage dinner with onion gravy, got sausage dinner with curry, not important in world problems but what I pay 4 is what I should get!?! CHECK CHECK an again!!!

Best OK sauce dishes I've had in Liverpool! Absolutely love it. Owners are great people as well. Highly recommend this place, particularly the fried chicken in OK sauce.

Never found a place to beat the young chow fried rice, won ton noodle soup OR salt and pepper chicken! Fresh as always when I came and can almost guarantee the rest of the menu is fantastic!!

Excellent quality of food and lots of it.

Can be a bit hit or miss. Some days its spot on delish and other days you wonder why you went there in the first place. Its a shame really, just wish it was more consistent 😕

I’ve been using Z Tams for years an will continue to do so, never been let down by a single meal and Allways recommend this place when I can. Nice chips nice fried rice salt an pepper chicken allways spot on and my personal favourite is the chicken szechuan (and yes I did have to google the spelling)

Our usual Chinese chippy is closed on a Monday so we decided to try this one for the first time. We had vegetable noodles, fried rice, chips and a carton of curry. The food was very tasty, service was quick and friendly. See photos for our food choices.

i have just returned with a special fried rice and it has had to go in the bin. i use this chip shop all the time and this was definitely not cooked by the usual chef. it had no egg whatsoever, and usually has a fried egg on top. it was tasteless, big large greasy onions in it. never had anything like it from here before. if this is a new chef i won't be going back. next time i will ask if it is the normal chef. if the chef is not working then shut the shop 'cause this cook will lose you your good custome base.

Food was terrible duck was dry hoi sin sauce was like a paste chips were soggy an full of salt pawn cracker were yellow instead of white due to the oil needing a good change an the delivery boy needs a corse in customer service skills over all shambles

Used to be decent but has gone downhill. Ordered Chop Sui rolls and was told they would take about 10 mins. Over half an hour later of waiting patiently I checked to see what was happening and the owner was very impolite and annoyed with me, she sent the chef out to give me a dirty look. Finally got the food after about 45 mins with no polite apology or thank you or anything. In the end the rolls were not worth the wait, below average. Chips were ok, but I'll go elsewhere next time. Much better options in the local area with better food and much more friendly service.

Long established great Chinese takeaway with large and varied menu.Food is always delicious and fresh,people travel to come here so a good indication of quality!If a meal isn't on the menu they will make it for you.Staff are really friendly and the place is clean and bright,all in all highly recommended.

Always friendly service and the food is excellent - I regularly drive from Smithdown Road past all the take-aways there to get our authentic Chinese meals from Z.Tams - I recommend the Schezwan Special with extra chili!
