Got a simple order wrong and the chinese meal had no flavour whatsoever. Given a point for the kebab. Disappointed to say the least. !!

First time in this chippy as allerton fish bar has closed down Wow the chips melt in your mouth and their curry sauce is beautiful , will be back next week. Lovely friendly atmosphere too 😊

Great quality food. Fast, efficient service. Friendly staff. Large, clean premises. All-round excellent! 😃 My personal favourite: Chicken Thai Red Curry. Totally tasty and a nice bit of heat to this. They also do a Thai Green Curry: this is hotter!

I occasionally visit Chris' Chippy if my train from Mossley Hill is delayed. I don't think I've ever termed anywhere my 'favourite fish and chip shop', however if this were an award, it would definitely be going to Chris' Chippy. Unlike a lot of fish and chip shops, the chips served here are not greasy and overly salty. The prices are extremely reasonably, with a small portion of chips setting you back just £1.60, which is not at all expensive. When this place gets busy, there are always plenty of staff on to serve customers and prepare orders, meaning you're never left waiting an unreasonable length of time for your food. Overall, if you're looking for somewhere decent to get fish and chips in the area, look no further than Chris' Chippy!

Returned hereward back in the area to b confronted with a load of teenagers seated and eating making lots of noise and general y badly behaved took a while for the food to come which was ok ish but not what I had ordered such a shame used to a fab chippy wish u luck hope u thrive but pull socks up your dad would not be happy

Staff are friendly, family recommended the place,however chips were half cooked, flopp and luke warm.The pie was difficult to cut into and dry. The fish was not much better either A shame.really having had the recommendation. Will not go back.

The fish was dry- the chips were soggy- the scampi were overdone and part of the order was missing. All very disappointing

Really good food but it seems like only one person is allowed near the till meaning you might wait a while. Also has a weird obsession with using cash as currency which gives off a conspiracy vibe. If you're after some tinfoil hats to go with your chippy tea then this place has you covered.

Fabulous food, wonderful atmosphere. Brothers Kostas and Tony keep on producing quality for decades. The Salt and Pepper chips are out of this world.

Just tried Chris’s because of the ratings whilst in Liverpool and it’s SERIOUSLY good!! Particularly the fish, which was large, fresh and the batter was perfect. I had a brief chat with and was served by Costa who is a really friendly and helpful guy. Thank you and I’ll be back when back in Liverpool.

fab portions fresh cod as always a treat, chips were also fresh out the oil, never fault this chippy.

Fish & chips is pretty good, would be 5/5 but the portion size is tight, and the speed of service is shocking. Why it takes 15 mins when theres fish already cooked and theres more staff than customers is beyond me.

Chips soggy & white... Not very nice.

Got a pork afelia with chips from here and fish and chips. The colour of the afelia was so purple that it was the same colour as the purple wheelie bin it ended up going into, the meat was really tough and chewy, onions and mushrooms where raw and chips where very undercooked, and the whole meal was absolutely tasteless I've had some lovely afelia in the past and some really bad ones, but this has to be by far the worst afelia I've ever had and it will take some beating. The fish and chips wasn't much better, again undercooked no flavour and soggy batter. Extremely overpriced aswell. Don't know how this place has got so many good reviews.

The food here is usually decent, fresh and clean I dont know what has happened lately but the quality has gone down hill and the place is in chaos. Undercooked chips and the chicken tasted like fish. Sort it out please guys.

Ordered fish and chips. The fish is cooked fresh to order, and is quite large. For the chips, they give a generous serving. Very tasty and well worth the wait. Just note that there'll likely be a queue (can be quite long depending on the time of visit), as everyone is waiting for their fish.

i can't believe some of these reviews. very overpriced for what it is - £3 for a tray of hard chips i don't think so. i would have to have more money than sense, or taste, for a repeat visit not when the littlel place round the corner is so much nicer and much cheaper.

First time of visiting since it reopened after refurbishment. Immaculately clean. I ordered 2 chicken kebabs they were delicious, food is so fresh. Would highly recommended. Staff always polite and friendly.

Very helpful staff,the place looks nice now its been refurbished.As expected the food is good,in fact top of class ,but it seems the portions have got smaller. I guess its the times we are living in.

First visit since the refit. Service brilliant, food fantastic and great value too.

When are you reopening!!! You could have rebuilt the entire building out of Lego bricks by now! Occasionally the shutters go up and a shadowy figure can be seen fiddling about. Then they come down again. Come on Chris!

In response to Mr Michael Cragg I think you’ll find Chris’s Chippy a corner stone of the Mossley Hill area. The lads in there gave great bants and the food OMG to die for. They often throw chips in me mouth I’m known as the seal in there. Love the Chinese food in there but more often in there for the kebabs can’t wait for the next time I can put Chris’s meat in my mouth

The food is always excellent from Chris's! We ordered a range of Chinese food, along with some English too, over the phone and then collected it. The staff are very friendly and happy to help, could not fault it.

Food was really greasy and me and my girlfriend had upset stomachs and we both became ill soon after eating the food.

The food and the staff and great. The chips and curry with a buttered bap is always enjoyable. Their veg spring rolls and amazing. Not only that but the staff there are polite and even show off a little bit like entertainment. Overall it's a wonderful place and would reccomend this place.

Got a chicken kebab wasnt nice at alm no pitta and was on rice with loads ov mushrooms was hardly any chicken on it

Pasaba por aquí y después de escuchar / leer buenos informes sobre este lugar, pensé en probarlo. Fui por el Special Omelette vbut lamentablemente no había nada especial al respecto! La carne era gris y masticable (supongo que se suponía que debía ser Char Sui) y ¡además solo tenía dos gambas! No es la mejor tortilla que he tenido hasta ahora. 2 de cada 10. No volveré

I ordered fish chips n peas as its meant to be good from here.. never got asked if i wanted salt n finger before piling the fish n peas all together, asked for lemon juice that was overlooked till i flagged it up.. gets it home soggy fish n too many peas all over the chips.. Disappointed ended up in dustbin!

This is the chippy to get yourself too. Cooked to order, fresh and decent portions. The prices are very reasonable and I keep returning, so a good sign! If you haven’t been, try it! I recommend the sweet chilli crispy beef or chicken!

Fantastic cod - flaky, fresh, tender, not too greasy, best I've ever eaten from a chippy. Good chips - could be a little more crispy. Good price for cod and chips - £5.40 for a good portion size. Expect a ~15 minute wait, more if it's busy, everything's made to order. I recommend calling in beforehand. Paid 30p extra for ketchup which was a little bit cheap. Overall, great.

Chips need cooking longer! Like everytime. Permanent posters looking for staff. Large turn over. Must be because the new staff want to cook the chips longer and They don't.

Just amazing food! I’m from Germany and lived close for a few month and loved it to go there. I don’t even like peas but theirs are really tasty. And the best are the chilli chips. Gonna miss it!
