Yungkee in Bath and North East Somerset

Been ordering from Yung Kee for years, order a takeaway, was advised it would be a 90 minute wait, 2 hours came round, we rang and were told it had just left the shop. An hour later still no delivery, rang up and was told it would be any minute now, I said it will be cold, she said let us know if it’s cold and we will refund you. Food was cold on arrival, advised Yung Kee, a week later no refund and we didn’t have anything to eat that night. Such a shame, it use to be great, not any more.

Takeaway chinese meals. no38 special fried rice is my standard, always lovely and leaves you full. The king prawn dish is always a fav with wife when she wants a change. its very busy tea times.

I have been using Yung Kee for many many years and although they have had a change of owners we have still stayed loyal, however, last night we ordered a Special Chow Mein and a pancake roll. The Chow Mein had two inedible hard bits of pork on the top and no chicken slices and the pancake roll tasted soapy. What a waste of money and their prices have gone up significantly! The service has got worse as well, telling you come back in 10 mins and when you return in 15 mins, they haven't even started to cook it.

absolutely minging, ‘crispy’ chilli chicken was soggy and tasted off, chips were like cardboard, they refused to refund it because half of it was gone. the ‘manager’ didnt believe me when we said we tried some and some went in the bin. what were we meant to do put the rest of it back in the container?? gross, bad customer service and crap food

Never again! I've been before, it's been "ok", but tonight it's been almost inedible. Absolutely terrible food. Sorry, but money is hard come by, wasting £12 here isn't happening again.

Ordered 2 mains, 3 sides and 1 drink. The mains were below average. The boiled rice was very dried out and seemed a couple of days old. The drink was not delivered. When I phoned them to politely request a refund they kept on hanging up the phone and playing ignorance. Finally got the refund after wasting 20 minutes on the phone. I will not wasting my time or money ordering from them again!

Visiting the area with work and fancied a takeaway. I ordered the pork curry, fried rice and bbq ribs. This was amongst the best of these meals I have had. Despite the 5 min walk back the food was still hot. The curry was spicy, rice was great, and the ribs were fantastic. The meat fell off the bone. The service was brilliant in that I was served and out in under 10 mins. If I lived in the area I would definitely use this again….and again.

Ordered from here twice and both times received unspecified meat in my “vegetarian” vegetables chow mein. DO NOT ORDER HERE IF YOU ARE VEGETARIAN. I’ve nearly eaten meat twice now, and who even knows what sort of meat!

I had the worse Chinese from here that I have ever had! This Chinese used to be nice but since it has changed hands it have downhill fast!

Ordered chicken satay which was tasty, a pancake roll which was quite greasy and a Singapore chow mein. The chow mein was not good. I love Singapore noodles and have them regularly from my local take away. These had no spice and very little meat in it, very disappointed.

Used to come here a lot, the food was great quality and the staff were fantastic and friendly. However I recently discovered their food hygiene rating (1/5) which has since put me off coming here. It’s a real shame because I would love to eat here again. If the hygiene rating improved then I would definitely be back!

Was rather enjoying my vegetable chow mein until I cake across a piece of chicken..... as a vegetarian I don't feel I could have takeaway from here again. Shame as my partner really enjoyed his food

driving back from a concert in bath hoping to find a chinese takeaway on route home, i’m very fussy with my curries and OMG they’re chicken curry extra spicy as i requested was amazing, the best i’ve had in a while, chicken was so tender and a nice dark sauce, very lovely lady who served me too, will be hoping to go back there soon!!!

Get a take away delivered from here every few months. The food is good and you feel pleased with the quality, taste, and cost of the food. I am a great fan of the large egg rolls.

The owner is always helpful and cheerful. The food is made quickly and is fresh. I know the food is not necessarily healthy, but satisfies a craving when one is too tired to cook

This take-away was recommended by people in our village so we phoned for a delivery.We are just under 5 miles away from the Yungkee and the delivery charge was £3.50 - excellent value.Very good telephone service and the estimated delivery time of 20 to 30 minutes was accurate.The food was truly excellent and abundant - plenty and extremely well cooked and very very tasty.One of the best Chinese meals we have had.You have acquired a regular customer.

Best Chinese around by far! The crispy chilli beef was one of the best I've had, food was delivered a little later than stated but was a Saturday night but well worth the wait!

Food was delivered nearly an hour late, when it did arrive parts of order were missing, had to wait another 35 mins for that to be delivered. Bad service😠

Simply the best Chinese takeaway we have ever visited. The spring rolls are the "best"! Fantastic quality and value. Wish you were in Australia!

Only issue was paid for prawn crackers which they didn't deliver. Couldn't be bothered to say anything as only minor thing. Apart from that all good.

Food is excellent. Staff are very friendly and always accommodating. Wide choice on the menu and the price is good too. Without a doubt my go to place (or plaice?) for Friday night fish and chips...and I live 5 miles away.

Así la chica en el teléfono dijo el conductor entrega iba de camino a otra ciudad brindar suficiente así que dije voy a esperar, pero me gustaría más unas patatas fritas como las salchichas con patatas fritas, accedió. La comida llegó finalmente de nuevo 40 minutos o así más tarde después de haber comido ya, y el chico no le daría las patatas fritas. ¿Por qué discutir sobre patatas fritas? Pasamos 30 libras! El servicio es terrible, y la mujer al teléfono no era la más educada.

Awful cold and just plain nasty!!

Solía tener una entrega sobre una base regular, pero no a volver a utilizar. Las normas han bajado drásticamente. Ordenados de más de una hora antes y después de estar 20 minutos llamó tarde para encontrar donde el orden era y fue informado "conductor entrega solo dejar". Otros 10 minutos el pedido llegar (30 minutos tarde) y luego no fue la correcta. El servicio de atención al cliente es pésima, no hay interés en hacer las paces por el mal servicio.

Meals were great-. Pork schezuan and prawn schezuan. good variety of veg in the dishes and good flavour. Not oily or greasy. the only bad thing was that the chips were very dry and cold though.

Ordered at 18:20 for delivery at 19:30. At 19:50 phoned to enquire where order was. Told delivery driver just left. Arrived 20:00. Other companies inform if delivery will be later rather than just leave customer waiting. Very poor customer service tbh. Food though very good as normal.

Flavour and quality of food has gone downhill a lot. Ribs were very dry.

Excellent and the sweet and sour sauce was the best I have had. Absolutely loads of meat in every dish.The staff were fantastic, friendly and very helpful. Will definitely be using them again. If i had to pick a fault, the only thing was that the chips seemed to be oven chips. Some people prefer those so I can't really Moan. Irrespective of that, a definite 10 out of 10. Thank you.
