yummy open kitchen chinese takeaway in Blackpool

Got a payday takeaway tonight. Got the Thai red chicken curry, chicken in OK sauce, s/s chicken balls, EFR, chicken noodle soup and finally salt pepper chips.............. Everything was excellent and piping hot except the chips..... Blanched at best, is their not a chinese takeaway in this town that can fry a chip properly?

Ordered salt and chilli chips tonight. They was warmed up and full of grease and had the nerve to charge me £4.30. Got salt and pepper ribs last week and they was so dry and tough. Thought it was a one off thing but obviously the chef /staff has changed as this place has gone awful. Won't be going back so well done yummy kitchen and your rubbish food you've just lost a customer. I would avoid this place as you will be very disappointed!!!!

order a couple of times before both times order was wrong ie: missing chips and sweet n sour chicken got shredded chicken and a pot of sweet n sour. this time ordered donner meat each slice about 2" thick and been warmed up in microwave red hot middle of pile cold outer edges taste very dry texture like rubber. will never go here again and strongly recommend do not eat from here

WORST PLACE IVE EVER ORDERED FROM!!!!!! Laat night we ordered out usual go to Chinese and after ordering the food it arrives within (15 MINUITES) I thought surely this can't be fresh!! Upon plating up our food, the rice almost looked like it had been mixed with PVA glue it was sooo stodgy and floppy and didn't seperste, even out of the box. So I perservered and continued as wasn't letting it bother me, i had chicken curry and my children had sweet and sour chicken. The chicken was sooooo slimy and something didn't taste like the usual food we eat. So I gave them a call and explained and all they wanted to do was send the food back out. Which would of probably been the same! The whole £45 order went in the bin and was very disappointed. Just eat have refused refund because it's their policy.. Will dedinatly not be returning.

Ordered food around half 8 on the Website and we were paying cash. After an hour of waiting we rang to be told it was on the way and they were very apologetic. We waited another hour as they said they were having a busy night, so fair enough. We rang back again to be told our order wasn't received as the website is down and that we could order again through just eat. I asked if there was any chance of discount as good will as it is now half ten on a Tuesday evening. The man on the phone said he was distracted and didn't hear me. After repeating myself he went to ask the owner who refused to offer any discount. We never got to try the food so can't comment on that, but from the service alone I will definitely dodge this Chinese in future!

Our favourite Chinese take away. Worth travelling from our home a few miles away. Wife's favourite is the special chow mein with extra large spring roll. That's why it's called Yummy!!

FANTASTIC EVERY TIME. We've never had a bad meal from here. Highly recommended.

Had delivery.. quick. I usually order chicken chop suey, unlike other places that I've tried, there's loads of beansprouts (which I love). I won't use anywhere else.

Quite hit or miss, the hits hit really nicely, but some staples are surprising missed. My usual order is a Singapore vermicelli with wonton soup, and both of these items are perfect every single time! However last time I went I got the salt and pepper squid and it was hard and overdone, barely any squid. In the same order I got salt and pepper chicken wings, which were great! Their udon is lovely and they do well with any special requests! Depending on your order, it could be amazing or a bit disappointing. Portion sizes are always great, and staff are always lovely.

Not the gest meal I've had from there ordered special fried rice which was good but then salt and peppered chicken which was overcooked and the chicken was dry and crispy.

Ordered a takeaway as we have done many times before. Fantastic food and arrived so fast. Will definitely be using Yummy Kitchen again.

AVOID THERE ARE BETTER CHINESE TAKEAWAYS !!! We ordered online through website, order arrived wrong and called to say we were missing items charged for. Was told to wait 50 minute for missing items to be delivered or go and collect it. Rude lady on the phone and claimed she was unable to refund missing items, would need to request on website but the website says the restaurant should request the refund 🤔 . Food was cold by the time our remaining items arrived...did not enjoy SERVICE IS JUST AS IMPORTANT AS YOUR FOOD !!!!

Ordered once before and it was tasty, went for something different and unfortunately it was tasteless, the ribs were missing from the order and unable to get hold of anyone by telephone to advise. Will not be retuning

Cash only! Who deals in cash only these days? Tax dodgers. Went here and ordered a take away. After going to withdraw cash to pay, i asked for a reciept, the rude woman wrote the amount on a scrap piece of paper and gave it me. Whats that i asked, have you not got a till reciept, whaaaat? Till reciept? Food is typical, chino take away. Dont rate this place at all.

So Thought we would try here as usual Chinese is closed Wish we hadn't bothered £31.60 down the pan so special curry was absolutely rank bland jelly curry sauce meat awful noodles sloppy and guey chips hard and black ,, duck rolls soggy seaweed had a rancid taste to it and prawn crackers stale will never try here again tried to call to take it back no answer in the bin it went defo needs reporting

Can't speak highly enough of this take away. Restaurant quality, thoroughly recommend.

What has happened in the kitchen since the new owners took over, just a simple house special fried rice. The 1st time was after the new owners took over the rice was dark brown not the whiteish shade of the past, also had a burnt taste to the point of smothering it in soy sauce to hide it. The chicken has a slimy/sweaty texture in the mouth. Now Smaller bags of prawn crackers. Maybe they changed the oil or the new owners getting used to the pressure of cooking at speed. Decided to try them again, as they’ve had time to settle in now. Sadly still the same brown rice with a burnt taste to the rice needing more soy sauce to hide the taste. Such a shame as this was the best Chinese takeaway in the area by far, sadly not anymore time to find another one

Food ok but something was missing off the order and they charged us for it. When we rang them to let them know they weren't interested. No refund or replacement sent. Poor service. Never order from them again.

Really happy with my order, I was excited to try here as they do mock meat and also tofu and I wasn’t disappointed. It’s been over a year since I’ve had a decent Chinese since moving to the area and today was finally the day I got a good Chinese and I’ve tried many! I will definitely be back! Tofu satay was lovely, tofu salt and pepper lovely.. next time I’m trying the mock chicken!

First ever order we made and the food was absolutely amazing. Beef in chow mein melted in your mouth, shredded beef unreal and chicken fried rice lovely with big pieces of chicken. We will be back

By far the best Chinese take way, on this side of town (Bispham). Friendly staff from the taking of your order, right through to delivery. Food arrives hot, bang on time and cooked well. Highly recommended and great value for the money.

Had a delivery to our motorhome in Cleavleys. Food came sooner than expected and was delivered to our door. Food was very good and will deffinately be ordering from here again.

Awful ordered at 7:30 and after an hour kept telling me 20mins later after 2 hours I gave up and just eat really lack the ability to get a full refund

Ordered a curry and some chicken wings at 6.50pm and after 4 phone calls, 3 false promises (amongst some other lies) and a 2 hour and 50 minute wait, the food finally arrived. Couldn't get a refund after 90 mins of waiting as the food was marked down as "being prepared". I appreciate that places get busy but the order was tiny and they are a 5 minute drive away. I'm not angry...just disappointed. No complaints about the food but just don't lie to me. The lies are what have lost you my business in the future. Shame really because I don't like complaining about things normally but you've driven me to it.

Ordered for delivery. Nice man on the phone & quick delivery. Good size portions. Unfortunately the hot & sour soup and the Singapore chow mein was sooooo salty, none of us could eat it (and we like our salt). The salt and pepper chicken balls, wings & chips were soggy and very oily, not crispy at all (but ok on the salt side 🤷‍♀️!). Also the veg spring rolls had virtually no veg inside, but fortunately the free prawn crackers and the egg fried rice was ok! Almost everything went in the bin 😕. Will be taking this one off the list I'm afraid.

Great size servings ,good competative prices, prompt delivery And best of all the food quality of my allbeit un changing order Is at worst as good as any other i have tried. It will continue to be my first choice for now. One negative is the lack of a little freeby i.e prawn toast ect. Allways nice to get a freeby. not a deal breaker thugh.

Cannot fault this takeaway at all even down to the pleasant home delivery service. The food is always piping hot and very tasty. Would not hesitate to recommend you try it.

we eat from this takeway at birthdays and holiday weakends..we have used them for years,and always have had great hot food..the portions are large enough for any appetite.it was the daughters birthday..so once again we had a great takeaway at a good price..

We had prawn curry and chicken curry ,both were very good also the Singapore noodles are really nice.Never had to wait more than 15 mins from ordering to collection.

Really nice food that doesn't make me ill!! The phone line is a bit distorted when phoning an order through but always good service.

On visiting the area, we went to YUMMY KITCHEN for a take away, the food we had was great, plenty of it, a good price, really enjoyed food. We had it delivered, deliver was not long and the food was hot. Would recommend to anyone

once again the quality of food from yummy kitchen is excellent..we ordered 5 meals which arrived nice and hot..prawn toast, seeweed good, prawn crackers are the best we have tasted..king prawn fried rice,or prawn chow mein, the amount for the price is great

Absolutely love this chinese. Would recommend them to anyone! Wouldn't eat from any other chinese in Blackpool. Amazing food. Just made my second delivery order this week, two cheat days can't be too bad.

I have used this takeaway quite regularly, and the last time I ordered from here, the food took well over an hour to turn up, I appreciate they must have been busy but I would like to be told how long the food will be, when I rang them to ask where it was I was rudely told that it would be there soon, no apology for the wait, and the food was of much lesser quality than it has been, sorry I won't be going back here again

we use this most weeks, very good food and good size portions, delivery a bit slow sometimes but always busy, worth a visit

lovely chow mein but a complete let down on the banana fritters.... no syrup & couldnt even taste the banana just tasted like warm batter.

This is the take away i use because i know what i am getting will be right. Great staff that will do all they can to help. You may have to wait a little longer for delivery but this is because it so busy this isnt a issue if you like great food. 10/10

After reading some negative points about customer service I was pleasantly surprised to be greeted by a warm and polite lady upon entering Yummy open kitchen. The food was cooked very quickly and I really enjoyed it. Even the prawn crackers were top notch. I had Salt & chilli chips, sweet & sour chicken with some prawn crackers and it didn't cost much and I was very full after eating most of it. Will definitely be back for more.

The food here is lovely, but we had a delivery where our order was incorrect. Sadly when we called to rectify this we were told to keep the original order, have the difference in money ready (+70p dearer for our correct dish) and to just wait for the new item to be delivered. So, I asked if this meant we should let the rest of our food spoil while waiting for the new dish. Yes was the reply. That's all they could suggest. Pretty poor customer service.

food is great but the staff are useless, you order your food making sure you are clear on what you want, they take your cash and give you your food... with the stuff you ASKED them NOT to add, they they complain because you give it back and demand they do the food YOU ordered, come on guys it isn't rocket science, asking NOT to include veg doesn't mean ADD as much veg as YOU want, start listening to customers rather than your till takings

I travel 10 miles to get my Chinese from them, so that tells you something about the food, doesn't it? My partner and I both really enjoy the food there. It's very tasty and full of flavour, the portions are good and there is always enough meat/prawns/veg in it, not just floods of sauce like in some other Chinese take aways. It's not too expensive either.Now the negatives: communication is very difficult. Few weeks ago I made an order on the phone and went to collect it. I tried to give them dish numbers as they appear on their board, but they didn't want it, just asked me what I wanted. I had to repeat and explain things over and over again. Good job I checked it when I went there, because there was a mix up.Last Monday I was in Bispham at 5, so I thought "what a perfect occasion to have my Chinese without the traveling" . Went there just after 5. Closed. No information whatsoever about opening times, also nothing could be find on the internet, other than somebody's answer that it's apparently closed on Sunday. Tried ringing about 20 times. No answer. So I though they probably open at 5:30. Wasted half an hour and at 5:35 went to the shop next door just to find out they're closed on Mondays! I was furious! I wasted over half an hour just because they can't put a simple note on the door with the opening times.Overall, great food, but be prepared for some hiccups before you get a chance to taste it.
