Really nice freshly made Chinese food.

Me and my partner recently tried this place during our couple of days in Blackpool, we have no complaints about our meal every thing was fresh and delicious and the staff were so polite and it was a good price for what we ordered we will definitely be going back next time we’re in Blackpool

Amazing food thank you for getting us a table .food was tasty we had beef & pork curry beansprouts noodles chips prawn crackers . Its the best chinese we have had in a long time .toilets nice and clean . Defo be back when we return to blackpool 👍👍

We were looking forward to a Chinese meal. Sadly we could not go here because its cash only. We went next door and had kebabs in stead.

Been coming here 20 years as a regular residential customer. Second time I've had customers left overs and uncooked chicken of some one who just left. I've already sent chicken for analysis. I ve threw everything up and never be bk. Kevin Lytham road Blackpool for 20 years . Disgusting to treat me like that but not the first time I've had a take home made meal from restaurant leftovers. Don't Go. Please.

As a fussy eater, going to new restaurants is difficult, however I was surprised to how good this place was, everything was freshly made, owners were lovely and if I stayed local I would be here every night. Sadly it’s a 4 hour car journey down for us! Please go support them!

Myself and my family visited this restaurant last night and all I can say is WOW the food is amazing. Whatever we asked for we got. OK don't get me wrong it doesn't have the best atmosphere but the food is out of this world . We had 4 starters 4 main courses wine beers and extras and the bill came to £91.00 . Please go to this restaurant and give it I try you won't be disappointed

Ate here on a short midweek family break to Blackpool after searching and reading previous good reviews. Turned up at around 6.30pm and found we were the only ones eating in the restaurant section,friendly staff and order was taken and starters soon arrived with drinks followed by our main courses afterwards. All food was hot and well tasty and us and our 2 children enjoyed it very much.

This is a totally fantastic Chinese our order was taken in quick time and also the food was out in no time at all. You can tell its fresh because it tastes a good, id say better than i was expecting by looking at all the reviews already posted. I would totally recommend to anyone that loves Chinese it was all amazing at a great affordable price.

Food is great... That's why the 2 stars. The wait?... absolutely shocking. Staff are clearly stressed. Unfortunate for them, no fault of their own. Although, they should remain professional. Food is cooked fresh (probably resulting in the long wait. Although, over an hour... In a restaurant... shocking) which is good. Prices are standard. If you can bare the wait I would recommend. Although, most likely wouldn't recommend generally. Would suggest hiring some more staff/preparing some things in advance, especially for the busy weekend.

My boyfriend and I had dinner in this restaurant because another good restaurant was booked out. The prices were very reasonable, I had King Prawn Chow mein with approx. 8 prawns. Service wasn't great as the waitress took phone calls for takeaway service, served and took orders.

From Scotland and have been having our family holiday to Blackpool for many years, so we have some traditions we do, and dining here as a family after the Pleasure Beach is one of those traditions. Never ever had a bad meal, the food is absolutely amazing, always fresh, tasty and piping hot. An extensive and reasonably priced menu, staff are lovely and friendly, service is quick and the restaurant is very clean.

Found this restaurant as close to our hotel and all other places wouldn’t answer to book in. Glad we found as one of the best chineses we have tasted. Had several dishes we used as share plates. We had bbq ribs,chillu/garlic prawns and then duck with pancakes. All freshly cooked and served as courses . The gentleman was so friendly and helpful. The drinks and food prices were good value too. We highly recommend and will definitely return.

Wow what a lovely restaurant food was first class . Friendly waiter everything was brilliant from the food to the wine would recommend the salt and chilli prawns and squid. All absolutely brilliant.

Been going here for years since moved from Scotland worked on pleasure beach John and crew are great. Just call them they are top people. Lost my belongings in there and staff found and returned. Nice family. Great food reliable. 5 star easy

Superb! Came across this little gem by accident, and so glad we did! It’s a basic restaurant, but the flavours are far from basic! Ordered Singapore chow mein for myself and chicken curry for my mum (my little one had chicken nuggets). The chow mein was gorgeous. So full of flavour. Loads of proper long prawns too. Everything cooked really well. The prices were fantastic, and the lady serving us was lovely :) service was unreal as the food was ready in such a short time. Absolutely recommend to anyone visiting Blackpool

The lady was very friendly serving, we sat down as a family for dinner, the food was hot and quick to arrive. My Yum Yum chicken wasn't great but the wife's duck was very nice. £8 a main meal but the portions were huge and worth it for the value.

The worst chinese meal me and my wife have EVER had !! I ordered crispy beef and it was like trying to eat chopsticks in an indescribable sauce. My wife ordered sweet and sour king prawns and this was no better !! The sauce in both dishes could have been made up by anyone as they tasted nothing like we have ever had from a restaurant or takeaway.When the waitress asked was everything OK ,I started to tell her my concerns but before I got started she huffed and didn't even listen and then walked away.

Amazing food and right next to the hotel we stayed in , we normally eat at jade delight but the food here was the same and just as nice for cheaper . Lovely service and fast service can not be happier with eating here From the outside didn’t look like much but was really nice inside and food was excellent

We were looking for a restaurant away from the main strip and fancied something other than fish, chips and burgers and came across this gem.Nothing too exciting looking from the outside, signs saying it’s cash only service, but we ventured in with only another Chinese family eating there.The restaurant was lovely, the service and waitress was lovely and efficient, the decor a bit dated but it didn’t distract from the food which was fresh, lovely, tasty and friendly on the pocket.We both ordered a mixed meat and vegetable chow mein, a couple of beers and juices. The dish was very generous and tasty, lots of meat and mixed veg and cost us just over £20.If we returned to Blackpool, we’d definitely go back. Well worth a visit.

This place is amazing. The food was fresh and cheap with really big portions. We ordered script dishes and they were hot-which isn’t always the case in most Chinese Restaurants. It’s cash only, but there’s a free machine 2 doors down.

Excellent service food fantastic everytime

A very uninspiring frontage and location, but the service and food were excellent once we were in. Coped well with a group of 10 including 4 kids arriving quite late. Some interesting dishes on the menu as well as the Chinese standards. Well worth a visit, we will definitely be back. Excellent prices, and (bottled) drinks not too expensive.

If you want to wait ages for your order to be taken and wait longer for it to be delivered this place is for you. I don't think my dog would eat here if it was free.

Having seen reviews about the Golden Palace, we decided to give it a try ourselves. On arrival, there was 1 couple who were already eating their meal and a family of about 8 who had arrived shortly before us. Due to their order being taken and served, we had to wait 35 minutes before our food arrived.The food was very good and the staff were friendly and apologised for the delay. We had booked to go to a show at the Pleasure Beach and, fortunately, had arrived at the restaurant with plenty of time to spare.

Wanted to get away from the chips n burger rubbish,and this was just off the main strip behind the velvet coaster place. Cash only and food was great...

Best Chinese in blackpool, spectacular food. Don't be put off by the street or restaurant look, the food has consistently being amazing since I started going in 2003 and no doubt before. Fresh and tasty.

Staff were good. But did not rate the food. I asked for chicken It was definately not chicken that . I had on my plate . Beef curry was not the best either.

Tuvimos unas vacaciones familiares a Blackpool y habían recomendado un restaurante chino. Pero cuando nos presentamos estaba cerrado. Un rápido Google nos dijo que había otro chino más a lo largo de la calle.Aunque no es de lujo para cualquier estándar, era cálido y acogedor y nuestra camarera era precioso. El menú tenía un montón de opciones. Nuestro hijo eligió su favorito de pollo frito arroz, nuestra hija eligió pollo al curry con arroz frito. Elegí Four Seasons y mi marido eligió setas de paja de las ofertas especiales. Las ofertas de pollo, gambas tenía, pato y char sui que eran ambas comidas precioso.Había que esperar un poco para nuestras comidas, ya que sólo hay un cocinero, pero todo estaba muy caliente y sabía increíble.Las 4 comidas y 4 bebidas nos costó £39 que es mucho más barato que el costo siempre tome de regreso a casa.Sin duda volveremos. También ofrecen un servicio de comida para llevar que estuvo ocupada durante nuestra comida.

Booker last minute. When we arrived the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating for our large party. Service was fantastic, food very good. Lovely atmosphere.

We came across this place by accident but it served one of the nicest sweet and sour chicken meals i ever had! Definitely worth eating there!

Visited on Saturday 12th September with my family and my what absolute toilet, decor looked liked something from a scene in "good morning Vietnam" only worse, the food is the worst we have tasted chinese wise.......the bbq spare ribs arrived bathed in what can only be described as a mix of used semi synthetic engine oil and well used chip pan grease absolutely disgusting then the mains arrived mines was jellied chicken in a green congealed sauce trying to parade itself under the curry banner the chicken was cooked to perfection if you liked jellied eels......disgusting bile gave us the boak , the salt n pepper chips were sprinkled with scotch bonnet chilli salt.......jeeezus we nearly all bailed out into the street in search of the nearest fire hydrant to douse our throat fires...shocking, and well the fried rice was exactly that only extra fried or put another way........extra crispy!! The sign on the wall saying ' the difference in our food is that it's freshly prepared and cooked to order by our owner/head chef' what an embarrassment this guy can't cook,won't cook will never be able to cook........ever!! Do yourself a favour if you want a Chinese in Blackpool please, please go elsewhere, we are just so relieved we hardly ate any of the crap served up that we're alive to share our not so fine dining experience, you'd do well to heed my advice.

We were in Blackpool staying at The Kenley in St Chads Road and a fellow guest recommended this Chinese restaurant to my wife and I, sadly most Chinese restaurants today are opting for the self service buffet style theme, to be honest we have tried over four of these type of restaurants and on all occasions we have found the food to be barely warm so finding a restaurant that cooked to order was in itself a plus for us.The interior of the restaurant whilst clean and well set out was to be truthful in need of a makeover but as we were there to sample the food this took second place on our priority list. The waitress who served us was pleasant and informative as to the menu and we opted for Chicken and sweetcorn soup followed by Chicken curry and fried rice and the House special chow Mein. When I asked if rice or chips were served with the Chow Mein I was informed that the meal was in itself a complete meal due to the portion size so I took the waitresses advice and opted for no fried rice or chips.The chicken and sweetcorn soup was delicious, and with hand on heart I can honestly say that I have never had a Chinese soup at any other restaurant which contained as much chicken and sweetcorn, two portions would have made a meal for some people.The main meals did not disappoint, my wife's chicken curry and fried rice was given 10 out of 10 by her and that is a fantastic score from her believe me, my House special Chow Mein could only be described as Fantastic, the meat content was cooked to perfection and the vegetables were just as I like them hot and crunchy when bitten into. There is an old saying - don't judge a book by its cover - that applies here, my wife and I were delighted with our meal and judging by the number of take away orders which went out of the door I would suspect that many more people are delighted by the meals served at the Golden Palace.When we were asked if our meal was to our satisfaction I could only make this comment - please tell the Chef to move to Newcastle - so if your ever in Blackpool give the Golden Palace a visit and judge for yourself.

The food was good quality and was excellent value for money. We had some children in our party and they were well catered for.

Visited after a day sightseeing. It's informal inside, but clean and pleasant enough, the food was excellent, and very good value, didn't find the drinks too bad either, for a restaurant (£2.50 for a pint of lager or a bottle of Tsind Tao) and the service was fine too. Only slight downside was cash-only payments, but there was an ATM just down the street.

Great vegetarian food, I chose vegetable chow mein, mixed vegetables with garlic & egg fried rice. Nice atmosphere and freshly cooked

4 of us dined here, no complaints at all about food, it was lively, warm and generous portions. Only down side was no spirits for drinks only soft drinks, overpriced wine and beer. But will defo be back on return to Blackpool.

Called in here after a visit to pleasure beach,proper old school Chinese resteraunt,small simple old fashioned ,very reasonable food and drink prices and best of all tasty homemade meals and large portions.Much cheaper than town center,would recommend as long as your not looking for a modern fancy resteraunt

This is just around the corner from the guest house we always stay in, so has sort of become our 'local.' Love this place. I think the prices are about average and the food is always good. You don't have to wait too long for the food and you always get plenty of it!

Every year when we're finished with the Pleasure Beach we always head here for a Chinese meal, it's became traditional now and we've got to know the staff. OK the decor is a bit bright and dated, but the food is lovely and reasonably priced. The Bolognaise Chow Mein is always a favourite, we can't get that is any restaurant back home. The staff are friendly and they will cater your needs.

This place was terrible,none of the food was fresh, you can tell the food has been lien there for a very long time,maybe days, the chicken balls had water leaking out them from the condensation, ribs where dry as a bone,curry was like gravy,even the coca cola was watered down big time, like more than usual.I could see other ppl also eating in the place looking disgusted, the place is ovb not doing too well buisness wise and there trying to use minimum food ect, they even charge u 5 pounds per plate for any wasted food

I went here with my family having chosen it because of the good reviews on here and other websites. We specifically chose this restaurant as it says that the chef can cook any food gluten free. This was highly untrue. However this wasn't where the nightmare ended. My daughter asked for mayonnaise with her food and was given a couple of sachets which were all out of date and disgustingly off. The restaurant was freezing cold, that cold that we had to sit with our coats on. I would strongly advise you against using this restaurant.

Went here after our b&b host recommended it. Disagree with last reviewer who thought the food was overpriced. I thought the food pricing was fair. The only two prices i can remember was for egg fried rice (£2) and steak with peppercorn sauce - £8. Very accommodating owners - i asked if they served beef szechuan, they said it wasn't on the menu but they would cook it for me and it was delicious. The only thing i would say our bottle of house wine was either £12 or £13 which was slightly over the average going price.Would definitely go again

We stayed in Blackpool for two nights (Friday and Saturday) as we were attending The British Open at Lytham St Annes. After arriving back at our hotel late from a long day walking round the golf course we were looking for somewhere nearby to eat where we could quickly be seated and served. The place itself was nothing spectacular - appearing a bit tired - and the food was about the same. Although the starters were quite nice (Prawn Sesame Toast and Chicken Noodle Soup), the mains were a let down. The special chow mein was not overly appetising with some parts of the meat being an unusual colour and the chicken fried rice was also disappointing in terms of both looks and taste with the rice being sticky and overcooked. For the standard of food served here the prices were a bit steep and I know of places where I can get far superior Chinese takeaways for about the same price, if not cheaper. I suppose the only thing that went in The Golden Palace's favour was that the four of us were so hungry we could have eaten almost anything; despite this I have to say on reflection that the quality of food can only really be described as poor.
