Sizzling Wok in Blackpool

People who have rated this 5* have probably never been to a Chinese Restaurant before. Meat was poor quality, had a stomach ache after. I had Sweet & Sour Chicken, never again.

The Sizzling Wok is by far the best Chinese takeaway in the area!! I've tried quite a few items from the menu and it never disappoints. All the ingredients taste really fresh and are beautifully cooked by the lovely friendly people running the place.

Had the meal for one on 2 separate nights and got to say it was lovely

Recommend by our accomodation in our recent stay to Blackpool. We wanted a delivery but they don't accept card payments only cash on a delivery, so we went to collect it. The food was surperb, we had the fixed menu for 2 and our daughter had the sweet & sour chicken with rice. Excellant value for money and certainly one of the best takeaways we have had for a while. They don't have a website so you might need to pop in to grab a menu before you order, unless you know what you want.

First time of trying this Chinese take-away,and it won’t be the last.Could not fault it.We had a set meal for 3 and it is one of the best Chinese’s we have had.You won’t be disappointed good value and plenty of it too.

Quality of the food is amazing for the price they charge. Not expensive friendly staff highly would recommend this establishment after visiting them several times and the quality of the food and the preparation time exceedingly consistent. They also appear to have a delivery service which is not part of any of the usual food delivery apps which is quite amazing that they can do so well yet not require the big commercialisation of it so well done to the local business that I'm happy to live nearby and give my custom to. Chicken ommlates used to be nice from here however tonight was very dry and tasteless sorry. To say I won't be coming here again

Was a recommendation... Certainly a good call. Not had a bad takeaway from here... Always tasty. With quick service. Not quite sure they deliver, but worth the drive over for me.

Our local Chinese and one of 3 within 100m of each other and not the best. Cheapish, reasonable quality for price and a fairly extensive menu. The reason this is not our goto Chinese is lack of card payments and no delivery service.

Excellent Chinese food cooked to order. Kids loved the food especially the mouthwatering ribs. The missus who's very fussy when it comes to Chinese loved it too. Some of the more spicy meals we chose had a kick to them which is lacking in a lot of takeaways nowadays. The lovely lady also gave the kids free chopsticks and fortune cookies. Brilliant!!!

You have to try this place just for salt & pepper mushrooms fantastic

Friendly staff and cheap prices. Food very filling, but fairly awful. Three different dishes all looked and tasted similar and really weren't very memorable.

We visited here for a meal and weren't disappointed, very tasty and good value. Recommended.

Good food and reasonable prices

A handy little Chinese takeaway in gyn area at Dickson Road end, where usually you can park outside. I usually get some omelette and chips, the service is pretty fast, the prices are reasonable.

As someone who has ate Chinese food all over the world , I found this small take away come cafe with seating for roughly 14 on a weekend football tournament with my under 14 s Football team , the food is incredible and cheap I can honestly say it's the best Chinese I've ever tasted ,

Spent the weekend in Blackpool and came across this amazing, authentic, good value and excellent customer service Chinese Takeaway! Highly recommned salt and pepper ribs / chicken and special curry! Just round the corner where we stayed - The Grand Hotel! Be back next year!

Chicken chow mein was nice. Chicken balls were good. SS sauce was bit to garlicky for me, but hubby liked it. Egg fried rice was odd texture.

I found this place completely by accident. And I am very fussy about my food and what I eat. But this place took me completely by surprise. The food was first class and I don't think that in the last 30 years I have ever had Chinese food quite this good. It's worth every penny of your money. And the gorgeous young girl that served us told me that her husband really enjoyed cooking. And believe me it shows. Go get yourself a meal here you don't need to go anywhere else. absolutely fantastic.

Had the special last night, no complaints and good prices. Will use again.

I found this place after visiting the Gynn Pub I walked up Dickson Road and noticed Sizzling Wok had a cafe style seating area which you don't normally find in a Chinese takeaway normally. The staff here are really friendly, service is very good. Sizzling Wok seemed to be very clean and food tasted amazing! My sweet & pork tasted the best I have ever eaten. I am going to come back here again and try more tasty Chinese food, menu has some nice meals on it. Not expensive at all, cafe style combined Chinese takeaway really does work well.

Had takeaway for first and LAST time on Friday night. I had duck with bamboo shoots and chips. The gravy was congealed and must have been about an ounze of shredded duck. The chips were overcooked and hard. My partner had king prawn curry and fried rice. Yet again curry was congealed and the rice smelt off. Will never go back! !!!

What an amazing find. We stayed in to sat with our two young children. The lady was brilliant and the food amazing. Really fresh tasting and huge portion. All your favourites are there and more. What a fantastic find. Puts all the BIG eat out places to shame. Hope it never changes. Making this my first stop off point in future

Staying in nearby apartment and found this place online. Quick service with piping hot chinese food. Would definitely recommend.

It is always good when a local eatery is frequented by the locals, it does give you a reassurance that the food will be good. The food was good and we would eat here again. It didn,t cost the earth, it was near to our hotel and more importantly our granddaughter loved the food

I have to say the food is beautiful and the spring rolls are HUGE with big pieces of meat in them the chicken was lovely but I wasn't keen on the sauce they don't always have a delivery driver and this is a shame as I run a hotel and I would have got plenty of deliverys and also recommended folk

Having arrived at the nearby Hilton hotel late on a Friday we were looking for a local Chinese restaurant. A search on here and this one showed up with strong reviews, so a quick call and we had a table for 4 booked. On arrival at the restaurant we basically found a takeaway with several tables. We were shown to our table and given the takeaway menu to review. At this point we were a bit undecided what to do, having expected a traditional restaurant, but due to the time and tired children, decided to stick with it. How glad we were! The feel is definitely one of a takeaway with a couple of tables in the corner, the drinks options were limited to cans of soft drinks for example. But the service was really attentive, the food was cooked fresh and great quality, with a very reasonable price tag. Wouldn't recommend this place if you are looking for a traditional dine in restaurant, but if you are into a more no-frills approach where the emphasis is the food, then this place is perfect. Would highly recommend.

This takeaway is excellent in costemer service and food is fab.my son left wallet on counter one night and thought he lost it. The next time he was in it was returned to him .lady remembered he had been in previously with contents still there could not thank her enough, we have used it several times food is great so thank you

Consistently good food, read about the specials, ordered the 'Kongha' village special, absolutely bursting with flavour!!!Agreed one of the best meals ever tasted. Will be working thru the menu everytime we visit Blackpool.

We love this place and always go when we visit Blackpool. Lots of choice and everything we have had has been full of flavour. We especially love the salt and pepper ribs and they make THE best prawn toast I have ever eaten! Cannot recommend the sizzling wok enough!!

Exceptional Chinese Restaurant aided by very helpful staff Visited on Sunday 12th July around 9.30. Only found this place while walking as all the other eateries had finished for the night. Don't be fooled into thinking this is just a Chinese takeaway, there are places for around 20 people so it is quite intimate. Always come here when visiting Blackpool Dance competition. Consistently good food and service. Always have the set meal for four with extra spicy chips and salt and pepper ribs: they look amazing on the photos and taste even better!!! If only Manchester had a takeaway like this!

Use to love it, but last 2 take aways were not so quiet up to standard. Chips we bought for our little girl as a treat were brown. Felt like oil the fried were soo old. Lady who took order is very friendly. Probably wont go there anymore

Long term customer, always consistently good service, excellent food and so reasonably priced. We go very regularly and though not an official restaurant, its takeaway food could easily compete and beat it. Clean and efficient. Great food.

After leaving my hotel fancying a chinese stumbled across this place. It is small but quaintly decorated and more of a takeaway than a restaurant. That said there are several little tables from which you can eat at.The food was excellent and the portions reasonable at a good cost. Food full of flavour accompanied by friendly staff there is no reason not try!

We chose this place because it came recommended by our B&B. Very good choice at it turned out. Freshly made and to order food, very tasty, large potion, decent prices - what more can you ask for???

We found this little Chinese restaurant by accident, everything was closed so we decided to go off the main promenade, so pleased we did. The food in the Sizzling Wok is excellent, we liked it so much we returned for a second time. The prices were very good, it's only a small place with about 5 tables so it is more of a takeaway, but if like us you want to sit down that's fine too. Service was great and food was delicious, definitely worth finding.

Spotted this takeaway close to the prom whilst on a day out from Liverpool and glad we did. You can even eat your meal at one of the tables. The service was with a smile and the food arrived within minutes! The food was excellent, I highly recommend the ribs and prawn toast. Restaurant standard meals at cheap takeaway prices. Just wish there's a sizzling wok in my hometown

We were staying at a nearby hotel and wanted somewhere local to eat our evening meal.We stumbled across the sizzling wok and noticed it had chairs and tables inside so you eat in if you wish.My family and children ate there two nights in a row and we were impressed with the quality and the value.Makes a change to find somewhere closd to the prom which has 5 star food standard rating and which doesn't rip you off.Well worth a visit.
