Golden Bird in Blackpool

All my food was pre cooked and warmed up was absolutely vile

Made an order through Blackpool eats at 1800 it stated delivery would be at 1855. At 1900 it was still saying delivery would be made at 1855, so I phoned them directly. They apologised saying the order was ready and they were waiting on the driver to collect. At 1920 I rang them back and asked them to cancel the order as I had still not recieved the food and it would have been cold by this point now. They then apologised and said they hadn't actually cooked our food yet as our was the next order on the list. So not only did they lie to me when I first phoned, they were now expecting me to wait a further 30 mins even though I had already been waiting 1 hour 20 mins. I made the decision to still cancel my order as they had made it clear they were willing to lie to me so I could not be certain they would not just re-heat it before it left. Will not bother using these again

Ordered from golden bird last night salt and pepper chicken, spare ribs, special fried rice and salt and pepper wings salt and pepper chips food was amazing all food really hot and delivered fast

We ordered from here for the first time this evening we had the munchie box and we wasn't disappointed it was amazing had every thing in it and tasted amazing would highly recommend 10/10 from us will definitely be back 😍

Didn't like the food at all ,all noodles and no veg oreat . Really horrible food won't be ordered again.

Food was relatively good. Decent portion and quite tasty. Maybe on the higher end in terms of price for equivalent competitors. Noodle dishes and rice very tasty. Advertised thirty minute delivery but then took 1hr 15mins… didn’t update the app to inform of this, blamed being busy with only 1 driver… seems obvious, so don’t claim to be available in 30 mins at point of order. Poor show.

This beautiful Chinese takeaway was recommended and I'm so glad I listened. Lovely friendly staff and hot flavoursome food. I've used them three times and everything has been excellent. The outside may not look all that inviting but don't let appearances stop you visiting, you won't be disappointed. I will never use any other. Gold medal from me every time.

Always good food , friendly staff, only thing I would say is put a warm coat on if you pick up your order , it's cold in the shop

Had a delivery Sunday evening. It was lovely, so so nice. Had chicken chow mein and chicken curry and chips. Havnt had it for a while but so so much better than before. Which was quite a few months ago because of that reason. But will deffinatly be ordering more. Thankyou, and nice lady on the phone.x

One of the best chicken curries we've had in a long time. Wasn't spicy, was just right. Plenty of chicken and a good size portion of rice. Will be coming back 😁

Just ordered from here, Got home with it 5min drive away, food was good but cold.

Just ordered our tea from here and what can I say, it was under cooked, the chips were soggy, the rice was hard, chicken balls weren’t cooked at all, chicken pieces had pink still inside them! What a waste of money. I will not be ordering from this place ever again! Disgusting

Fantastic best Chinese in Blackpool

Always had lovely food from here!But! Fried rice is awful and so under cooked it’s rock hard and hot and sour soup is awful, can’t even compare to anything we’ve ever had.....dirty brown and nothing like how it should be! but everything else is absolutely gorgeous 😊

Chicken curry was very watery. Chicken was like rubber. Rice was hard. Shame as ordered from here before and was lovely

It was our first time ordering from this takeaway. Combination starter was brilliant, very tasty food. The special curry was delicious, chow mein was delicious but needs a sauce so would recommend ordering one with it. Good sized portions. Fast delivery and food was hot on arrival unlike others we have tried in the past. Even got free extra spring rolls with the delivery which were lovely. Money well spent, will be using in the future.

First order under new management. smaller portions. food cold. Chicken satay was chicken on a stick no satay sauce. No taste to anything. Very disappointed for what we paid. Never again.

Used Golden bird for the first time last night. Apparently it was the first night for new owners.. I'm glad I tried it the salt n pepper chicken was amazing. Full of flavour and was real chicken not processed rubbish like some places. Chow mein was nice as well. Fast service and excellent prices. Will use again soon

The food is junk, it's all rotten stuff that has been processed, the boss is terrible, he's a gambler, and he won't pay back the money he owes his employees!

This place is only good if you have a late night out on the drink, it has a 3 star rating for food, but it would not be my idear of place

The only good thing about the takeaway was the pleasant delivery driver. Everything else was dreadful and left a burnt taste in your mouth. Will never go again And the star is for the delivery driver 😡 Don't bother calling to let them know either as they don't apologies for poor customer service and food.

Used to go before it changed hands and used to enjoy it, I didn't know it had changed hands until I arrived to pick up my order my usual order used to come to £12.20 it is now £14.10. The curry sauce on my special curry was very watery. So with this price increase and a drop in quality I have made the decision not to return. Shame really as it used to be a good Chinese in my eyes.

Absolutely disgusting.... spent over 40 quid on tastless dry crap... will not be going there again and would advise everyine else to avoid

First of all, I wasn't the one who ordered or collected our meals, that was my girlfriend, so I can't comment on service. In terms of quality of meal, I was highly offended and would go as far as saying that our meals were intentionally bad because what we received was almost inedible. Duck chow mein, salt and pepper ribs and kung po chicken. Worst I have ever seen.

I have been going to this takeaway, for over 15 years, and last night i ordered my meal as usual, when it arrived i had been sent the wrong meal, so i rang up to tell them , and basically got accused of being a liar. Not only was it something i hate anyway and would never order, we tried to eat it and it was the most disgusting meal i have ever tasted. They insisted on shouting at each other saying that what they had sent was what id ordered, but it wasnt.!!! So instead of offering to re send the meal , they argued . So now i will never use the restaurant again. I dont know if they have had a take over but if they have they seriously need to learn some manners.!!Keep away from this place at all costs!! Save your money!!Pity i cudnt do a minus one!!

I've had okay meals from here the past couple of times I've been, but the sweet & sour chicken I got tonight was disappointing - the chicked was still pink and not properly cooked through. The take away was really busy, so I'm guessing they were rushing orders. Maybe best not to order during peak hours?

Delivery of meals was an hour late and barely warm. The delivery driver was very rude just because we didn't have any change, he went storming off in a paddy and slammed the gate. Quality of food was also very poor, chips were very scrappy and measly portions, food was barely warm, there was hardly any beef in the curry and the one of the meals was the completely wrong order. This is the second time we have had a bad meal and bad experience so will not order again from Golden Bird.

Meals are great. portions size is good. Is good value and after recently visiting the great wall chinese and disliking it greatly i will definitely be getting from here in the future. Love the shredded beef

The meals are fantastic!.. This has been my favourite chinese in Blackpool for the last 7 years... Never been beaten. Awesome sweet & sour chicken hong kong style with great prawn toast!
