HAIR IN THE CHICKEN …… when the owner was told there was a hair in the chicken her first words were …. You will have to pay for it still ….just 1 piece of chicken had been eaten before the hair had been noticed ….. what a strange thing to say not shall I get you another portion …… I paid for the dish … but would never ever return …… this was my last choice 3 were closed and Michael wan was fully booked we were the only people in but thought we would give it a chance …… always trust your instinct ITS EMPTY FOR A REASON …… Terrible customer service

Always found red pepper to be high quality, delicious and fast service. Both their take away service and their home delivery is fast. Prices are very reasonable and clearly displayed. Restaurant area always looks clean and tidy.

We have a hotel in the area and we order takeaways from here often and happily recommend to our guests. The food is very good and is always delivered promptly and is good value for money. You can eat inside the restaurant too

The food was delicious. I asked for a break between my starter and main, and they accommodated. Hot and sour soup was good, but I would have preferred more meat/prawns in it. Very busy takeaway place. Small appetite, so ordered the spring rolls, which were delicious. The only thing, and this was quite an issue for me, was having to pay upfront in a restaurant of this nature. It came across as a level of distrust, and I've never experienced this before in a Chinese or Indian restaurant before. I had the conversation with the owners...they said people have left once before, without paying. Now, I dress and present respectfully, but felt it was just not cricket. Thankfully the food was good, and I will recommend them. It just didn't feel right this time.

I have recently started using this place as takeaway. The food is good. Have had curry dishes and sweet and sour dishes. They are competitively priced and the delivery service is good. Would recommend

The best Chinese around. Singapore noodles are amazing.

Disappointed.Starters were nice though chicken noodle soup had brown chicken in it which put me off.Main meals were bland,and lacking.Asked for no peppers or mushrooms then 2 meals came with them.Sorry wouldn't go here again.

While on a long weekend break , called in this small Chinese takeaway just round the corner from our guest house, and wow are we clad we did, BEST CHINESE MEAL WE HAVE EVER HAD. SO GOOD WENT BACK THE EVENING AFTER, have allready booked the guest house for November this year, and will be eating out in this place, TRUST ME IF YOUR IN THE AREA GO TREAT YOURSELF, don't look anything special from the outside but in 45 years of eating Chinese food this has been the best, I even spent 3 weeks in China and this little place in Blackpool is has good. You won't be disappointed.

Special curry it was discusting even the chips tasted the same like old oil is best I can describe. It all went in the bin. We were staying at the sovoy and fancied Chinese. Never again will I buy when in blackpool

Great find, good choice, nice staff. Food was lovely and well priced. We enjoyed it so much, we cleared up the table and behaved like good tourists. If you like your food spicy, ask for the chilli oil, yum yum. Beer was good too. Thanks

Fantastic food good service not too expensive

We've just paid £38 for a sit down, a mixed starter for 2, special fried rice and special chow mein, the 1st words said to us on arrival was Blackpool changed we don't get many in now same every where I can see why the rice was shocking 1 big lump stuck together nothing special at all, I explained we eat here everytime we are in Blackpool and your food has gone downhill from 6 months ago that's maybe why your customers have declined in coming, 1 person came in and walked out through her attitude and not 1 phone call in the hour we were sat there we will never eat here again. Denied any fault of there's and we left the full bowl of rice and was never offered any refund or apology

A pleasant restaurant with food freshly cooked upon the order. The couple are friendly and warm, especially the lady who takes up the order, she had a warm smiling face and took care of us nicely.

I have just visited a kind of red pepper restaurant in blackpool I ordered beef with green pepper and black beans I'll tell you I'm sorry that it tastes like a bicycle tube, if you want to chew a rubber tube, I wish you tasty but if you want to kill someone with what you give to the client, I would like to wish you good luck and I wish you all

Been going to Blackpool for years never been to Red Pepper before Food was excellent however inside nothing really like a Chinese restaurant ,just like a long room with a few Chinese touches ,Young English lad was serving who was very pleasant ,Chinese owners didn't even say hello or how was our meal. The jury is still out

Poor poor food. Seriously this is not a good chinese takeaway. The curry is basically water, no taste and very very weak. The prawn toast was sour like it was off and the salt and pepper chips are just frozen enimic chips. Special schuan was terrible. Seriously needs a revamp. I will never eat here again. I hate giving bad reviews but this was bad food.😪

Possibly the best Chinese I’ve ever had. Unbelievable flavour to the duck, crispy chilli beef was class. Waitress was lovely too 😊

Food rubbish tasteless given cold. Curry sauce was floating fat. Just awful. Chinese lady serving was soooo rude to me and my friends. We spent over 100 between us to take away. She treated her staff as bad. Waste of money. Never never again!!!

Small place but so well looked after. Food was excellent.

We used to live close to Red Pepper but moved about 5 miles away. While the local takeaways are edible in our area, they are not great, so we decided to take the trip back to Blackpool for a Red Pepper take away. Well worth the trip, It took about 20 mins to get home & the food was still piping hot & of course delicious. Had enough left for a second meal another day. Will be back again soon now we know we won't have to reheat before we eat. Thank you May & Tat. Can't wait for the restaurant to reopen.

Me and the partner thought the food was tasty until a couple of hours later, we were vomiting for England. The woman was friendly until she was given the money then the friendliness changed and became rude.

Ordered a meal was stone cold when came rang restaurant who didn't want to know and called us a liar wouldn't order again and have ordered from here a few times but will not be called a liar

What an amazing taste our meals had, 2 of us had vegan meals the rest not. Total quality on taste May the waitress is so friendly and helpful. Tat the chef loves making his customers happy.Ever time I visit Blackpool this is one of my favorite places to eat. The interior isn’t magnificent but the food definitely is I’m already looking forward to my next visit

We came here last year, really enjoyed the meal and will definitely be back next year, on our annual pilgrimage. I was stuffed after half the portion of schezuan chicken, but I'd had hot and sour soup for starters. We're a bit fussy, I don't eat onions, my daughter, only wanted noodles and sweet n sour chicken, no hassle, great service, great taste.

Ok so two family’s stayed at the Flyde International guest house just up the road...thought we’d give it a go.So out of a 3 night stay we all ate here twice. Reasonable prices and good portion size....proper Chinese not fancy but lovely and staff were great

Took the family here as my oldest son wanted Chinese and was very impressed the lady looking after us and the food was great and both my kids where very happy.Would go back here for sure. The only slight issue is the position on google maps is slightly out meaning you need to have a look for it.

Visited the Red Pepper on Saturday 17th August, food was very good indeed. Prices are reasonable and the young girl that served us was very pleasant. Overall I would recommend a visit to this Chinese restaurant.

Everyone nice and friendly. The foods is very good. Very good place.

We were told that this restaurant was nice so decided to try it out and nice it was. Portions were very generous and we enjoyed every mouthful. Will definitely be back next time we visit Blackpool

So, my previous review advised you to not judge a book by its cover as the food more than made up for what looks like a fairly nondescript outside. However, after a recent dining experience I can safely say that this place has gone badly downhill.

We went for a meal here on saturday 23rd march, and would recommend anyone to eat here. May was very nice and made sure we got what we wanted

I can't fault this restaurant. It has a varied large menu.

I order for delivery and dine here you really cannot beat it Tasty and good portions I recommend salt and chilli chicken wings and the black bean Always excellent

We trusted the TripAdvisor reviews rather than our initial impressions based on the outside. We had a little wobble when we were the only people in there (though it was early and it filled up later) and then read on the menu that all food had to be paid for at the time of ordering?! (We didn't though!)
