Red Pepper in Blackpool

Horrible food. Chicken is like rubber, sauces are like water. All four of us ended up putting our dinner in the bin. Would not recommend.

Average food shocking customer service from the angry lady taking the order. Restaurant is cold and unwelcoming think this place only works for takeaway

Lovely little restaurant not far from were we were staying ,very friendly. Food was beautiful too .my husband had peking hot & sour soup and I had chicken noodle soup.for starters ,must say they were really delicious. Main meal my husband got shredded crispy beef in chilli sauce (hot) and egg fried rice, I got the chicken in ginger and spring onion with boiled rice ,we both really enjoyed them .Excellent meal ,will go again when we come again next year when we come to Blackpool x

This is our second visit the food yesterday was incredible a little bit off the Beating track but definitely worth a visit the lady that served us very pleasant the meal for two people come out at around 40 pound well worth the money

Best restaurant in Black pool!!

came for a night away in Blackpool. So found this place on the way back to the apartment and decided to stop for tea. We ordered our food, to which we received it and it was literally all tasteless. The restaurant was empty, we were the only table in. When we told the women we weren’t happy to pay for the FOOD we DIDN’T EAT. She called the police on us🤣 so we sat and waited for the police to come baring in mind we called them ourselves and the operator laughed down the phone because it obviously wasn’t a serious matter. We were verbally abused, we also had an 80 year old women with dementia with us and they stopped at nothing to keep coming over to the table to be aggressive and tell us we’re ’not human’ she also took pictures of us like we were going to do a runner from the restaurant and said we just didn’t want to pay which was furthest from the truth. We were happy to pay for the little we had eaten and the drinks that we’d drank. Honestly, avoid at all costs. Horrible horrible place and people.

HAIR IN THE CHICKEN …… when the owner was told there was a hair in the chicken her first words were …. You will have to pay for it still ….just 1 piece of chicken had been eaten before the hair had been noticed ….. what a strange thing to say not shall I get you another portion …… I paid for the dish … but would never ever return …… this was my last choice 3 were closed and Michael wan was fully booked we were the only people in but thought we would give it a chance …… always trust your instinct ITS EMPTY FOR A REASON …… Terrible customer service

Always found red pepper to be high quality, delicious and fast service. Both their take away service and their home delivery is fast. Prices are very reasonable and clearly displayed. Restaurant area always looks clean and tidy.

What’s happened blanched chips cold sauce cold soup absolutely disgusting

The menu is wrong on website says you can have a banquet for 4 which is what attracted us. When we got there they only do it for takeaway? The meal was very nice but they were very under staffed meaning that we had to wait if we had asked for anything. At the end we ordered toffee apple and banana these really weren't nice like they had been cooked in old oil I tried to eat mine but couldn't I called the lady and just said I'm very sorry I don't like this she then stood arguing with me I have been in catering for 30 years and I have never spoke to a customer like that she then took it away and continued to give us dirty looks. I only ever write good reviews as I deal with poor quality at the time but this was terrible service

We have a hotel in the area and we order takeaways from here often and happily recommend to our guests. The food is very good and is always delivered promptly and is good value for money. You can eat inside the restaurant too

Got the sharing platter for a starter, absolutely delicious would highly recommend. Food cooked fresh in front of you, beef very tender in both dishes and excellent value for money.

Ordered takeaway from here lovely open kitchen where you can watch your food being prepared. Couple running were very friendly. Ordered for 6 people and was pleasantly surprised by the price as the food quality and portion size were 10/10. Will definitely be our go to every time we're in Blackpool. Will try eating in the restaurant next time.

The food was delicious. I asked for a break between my starter and main, and they accommodated. Hot and sour soup was good, but I would have preferred more meat/prawns in it. Very busy takeaway place. Small appetite, so ordered the spring rolls, which were delicious. The only thing, and this was quite an issue for me, was having to pay upfront in a restaurant of this nature. It came across as a level of distrust, and I've never experienced this before in a Chinese or Indian restaurant before. I had the conversation with the owners...they said people have left once before, without paying. Now, I dress and present respectfully, but felt it was just not cricket. Thankfully the food was good, and I will recommend them. It just didn't feel right this time.

The chicken chow main is brilliant traveled all the way down from Stirling and every time it’s the same the best in the uk tried various places with in the uk by far the best 10 out of 10

I have recently started using this place as takeaway. The food is good. Have had curry dishes and sweet and sour dishes. They are competitively priced and the delivery service is good. Would recommend

Disappointed.Starters were nice though chicken noodle soup had brown chicken in it which put me off.Main meals were bland,and lacking.Asked for no peppers or mushrooms then 2 meals came with them.Sorry wouldn't go here again.

While on a long weekend break , called in this small Chinese takeaway just round the corner from our guest house, and wow are we clad we did, BEST CHINESE MEAL WE HAVE EVER HAD. SO GOOD WENT BACK THE EVENING AFTER, have allready booked the guest house for November this year, and will be eating out in this place, TRUST ME IF YOUR IN THE AREA GO TREAT YOURSELF, don't look anything special from the outside but in 45 years of eating Chinese food this has been the best, I even spent 3 weeks in China and this little place in Blackpool is has good. You won't be disappointed.

The food is lovely, but it is freezing if you are eating inside, you need to eat quick or your food goes cold. Lovely staff but even though they said they had disabled access and a disabled toilet they only have a ramp, there is no disabled toilet.

very nice chinese takeaway or sit in,used it twice in a week, food is excellent , staff are very nice if i had one complaint is that the sit in prices do go up a fair bit from the takeaway price but would still recommed for a very nice chinese meal

We passed by the Red Pepper on our way back from a football match and decided to check it out online. The reviews were very positive so we returned and we're pleasantly surprised to see that it was very busy. Even though we hadn't made a reservation, they were very accommodating in getting us a table. Our food was served quickly by friendly staff and both our dishes were excellent. You pay more to dine rather than getting a takeaway but the cost is justifiable. We would definitely visit again on our next trip to Blackpool!

Special curry it was discusting even the chips tasted the same like old oil is best I can describe. It all went in the bin. We were staying at the sovoy and fancied Chinese. Never again will I buy when in blackpool

Always great food, in or out...

We were staying for a few days mid-week at a hotel just 100m up the road. I had read good things about the “Red Pepper” so booked a table for 4 persons. Every one of our choices for starter and mains were delicious. Good choice of menu and the food was served hot and was tasty as a Chinese should be. The kitchen is open so you can actually see the food being cooked and the chef was excellent. The lady at front of house was friendly and very efficient. All four of us really enjoyed the whole experience and would certainly return next time we are in Blackpool.

My mam and I visited Red Pepper for a takeaway meal. The staff were very nice and our takeaway was ready in under 10 minutes. The food was really good with big portions. I would definitely visit again. Thankyou

We stayed at the local haven resort in sept 22 and as we always do on holiday we had a Chinese takeaway, we looked at the vast quantity of Chinese takeaways online and decided to order from the red pepper based on the previous reviews received. All i can say was WOW, this was some of the best Chinese food i had tasted and i’ve been to a lot of Chinese takeaways. We enjoyed our meal that much we went back again a couple of night later. My only disappointment is that they are not our local. Well done let red pepper we will be back👏😀

Great find, good choice, nice staff. Food was lovely and well priced. We enjoyed it so much, we cleared up the table and behaved like good tourists. If you like your food spicy, ask for the chilli oil, yum yum. Beer was good too. Thanks

We've just paid £38 for a sit down, a mixed starter for 2, special fried rice and special chow mein, the 1st words said to us on arrival was Blackpool changed we don't get many in now same every where I can see why the rice was shocking 1 big lump stuck together nothing special at all, I explained we eat here everytime we are in Blackpool and your food has gone downhill from 6 months ago that's maybe why your customers have declined in coming, 1 person came in and walked out through her attitude and not 1 phone call in the hour we were sat there we will never eat here again. Denied any fault of there's and we left the full bowl of rice and was never offered any refund or apology

Poor poor food. Seriously this is not a good chinese takeaway. The curry is basically water, no taste and very very weak. The prawn toast was sour like it was off and the salt and pepper chips are just frozen enimic chips. Special schuan was terrible. Seriously needs a revamp. I will never eat here again. I hate giving bad reviews but this was bad food.😪

We used to live close to Red Pepper but moved about 5 miles away. While the local takeaways are edible in our area, they are not great, so we decided to take the trip back to Blackpool for a Red Pepper take away. Well worth the trip, It took about 20 mins to get home & the food was still piping hot & of course delicious. Had enough left for a second meal another day. Will be back again soon now we know we won't have to reheat before we eat. Thank you May & Tat. Can't wait for the restaurant to reopen.
